Chapter 8: Broken
"Hinari, please talk to me.." Iruka sensei pleads to the young Hyuga girl that is now sitting across from him. Iruka has noticed the sudden change in his students since Hikaru and Kenji arrived at school, he's also taken notice of Hinata's sudden disapperance from school; during class he noticed how Hinari doesn't answer questions nor make eye contact, he asked her to stay after class to hopefully find out what's been going on.
"Nothing's wrong, Iruka-sensei.." Hinari tells him with a smile. Iruka knows that Hinari is lying to him, he's surprised that she is now lying and hurt that she doesn't trust him enough to tell him her problems. He puts one of his hands on top of hers, Hinari caught off gaurd looks at his hand and back up at him.
"Hinari...I know that your lying to me, please why can't you tell me what's wrong?" he asks her quietly, Hinari gazes into Iruka's eyes and notices the feelings behind them, sadness, concern, curiousness, and most of all affection; seeing that she had a sensei who cared so much about her and her sister caused tears to emerge from her eyes.
Now Iruka can't even count the times he's seen Hinari cry, she has always been a very confident girl and was always cheerful, the person he see's infront of him is now a sad, lonely, and broken girl. Knowing that Hinari was going through some tough times and that she was going through them mostly alone made Iruka feel as if he has not fulfilled his position as her sensei.
"Hinari..." he rosed from his seat and made his way toward Hinari, he bent down towards her level and gazed into her eyes that you could not even see correctly because of the tears that were running down the sides of her cheeks. Seeing her this way broke Iruka that he grabbed her hand and embraced her.
This sudden action was unexpected to Hinari and surprised her dearly, her eyes widened but not completely, however; this didn't seem to stop her tears as they continued to flow. "Sensei..." she spoke in a soft voice. Iruka was silent as he held onto his student a little tighter. She was torn, and most importantly afraid; what was happening to her that caused her to obtain such fear?
"Hinari...I may not know what is going on completely, but I do know that you are holding in alot of agony and anger; it's not good to hold in your emotions like this.." Iruka tells her in a soft voice, to Hinari it was more then a teacher to student conversation, it had now become a conversation between a supposed parent to child. Slowly and carefully, Hinari's arms started to rise and cautiously wrapped themselves around Iruka's back.
Stiffened at Hinari's gesture, he started to feel her breathe normally again. She was starting to calm down and he was glad that he may have been the cause of it. They remained in that same position for nearly 10 more minutes until Iruka pulled away but remained at Hinari's level. He looks at her and see's her look at him as well, he smiles softly at her and stands up and offers his hand.
Hinari looks at his hand and back at Iruka, she feels a little better after crying out her sorrows in her sensei's arms. Being held made her feel warm, protected, and cared for, she started to feel as if Iruka was like a father to her; thinking like that made her think of her true father, the one who didn't care that she was beaten, the one who didn't care that Hinata was raped and got preagnant, the one who never bothered searching for them and is now infflicting the same path to their younger sister Hanabi.
Deciding that she shouldn't be thinking too much infront of her sensei, who has already helped enough as it is; she takes his hand and allows him to pull her up. She looks at him and smiles warmly.
"Thank you Iruka-sensei...I somehow feel alot better."
Even though he didn't get the answers he wanted at least he was able to help her in her depression even a little bit.
"Your welcome Hinari" Iruka adds with a smile.
Walking over to get her bag and books, Hinari makes her way towards the door and stops, she looks back at her sensei and with a 'reassuring' smile says to him.
"Don't worry about me and Hinata sensei we have everything taken care of. Sure, it may seem like we don't and our friends may be telling you certain things but everything's all right."
Silence engulfed the young sensei as he stared at the girl; what was he supposed to say to her, all right? No..he knew very well that everything was not all right with the two twins. Even if he wanted to find a way to help them, it was up to them to ask for the help.
"Yea..." Was the only reply he could say to her. Waving goodbye to her he watched as she exited the classroom; sighing tiredly he sat back on the chair and ran his hand through his hair.
"I already know Hinari's issue...but what about yours, Hinata?" He asks himself as he consumes himself in his thoughts.
***(Meanwhile)***
"AHAHA, That's hilarious!" Kenji laughs hysterically. He and Hikaru met for lunch; they do that frecuently since they say that they need time away from their 'partners'.
"Don't laugh..Kenji" Hikaru tells him as he looks at him through his shades. Hikaru had told Kenji about his fiance's actions the day before. Kenji, however; found what Hinata did to him very...very...hilarious.
"How could I not? I mean she literaly hit you so hard you had to wear an eye-patch." he adds.
"She's going to get what's comming to her; she knows very well what awaits her as soon as I find her." Hikaru adds angrily...however you could only tell that he's angry if you were to hear him repeat it more then twice.
"So she's escaped, where do you think she went?" Kenji asks. Hikaru takes a sip of his coffee and looks toward the window. "I know very well where she went, and he better be prepared if I find her with him." he warns.
***(Somewhere Else)***
"Man...I really blew it." Naruto mumbles to himself as he was on his way home from Ichiraku. He had tried contacting Sakura again, however she did not answer if she did, she'd only yell at him and hang up.
He knows that Hinata is with her, she doesn't want to speak to him...he wouldn't blame her. Seriously, how would someone feel when they go to the person they love most and ask for help only to be told that they are hated and to leave from the person's life. All Naruto knows his that if it were the other way around, he would be heartbroken and torn apart.
As he continues his walks he suddenly finds himself stopping, he suddenly feels a very tense and cold presence. 'What is this feeling that I'm feeling...' he thinks to himself.
The feeling was the thought of him knowing that either he was being watched or being followed.
Just as he concluded the thought, he found himself being held from behind and suddenly seeing darkness. Everything happend like clockwork, one minute he was eating at Ichiraku and the next he was being beaten and shoved into a car. He could not see but only hear his surroundings. He heard the door slam shut, he heard the car stop, he heard it drive to it's unknown location.
Finally he heard himself being thrown to the ground, still tied and still blind. He heard the door open and footsteps making their way towards him. The blindfold is then removed and he looks up to see a familiar face, he clutches his fists tightly at the thought of wanting to punch the guy and not being able to because he was tied up.
"What do you want?" Naruto asks sternly and angrily.
In front of him he see's a chair placed in the center and the person sits on it. Naruto looks at the man in silence...waiting for his answer.
"I want you...to screme as I beat you to a bloddy pulp." He says emotionlessly with a smirk.
