Authors Note: I know I should have updated ages ago. I've been busy. I've been staying up late working on assignment for school and I recently fainted and gave myself a concussion. So don't be mad at me! I'm thinking of making this just a drabble series since I'm not keeping up with it enough to make long chapters. I love all the readers though and I thank you.

It was obvious that Kagome was confused. She daydreamed and avoided him. Whenever they came across each other her face would turn a dark red and she's quickly go the other way. He found it funny for a while but then her avoiding him got annoying. He was dying for her to simply say something! Anything! He missed the sound of her voice, it was musical to him.

Perhaps what he had done had been to forward. He'd let his mask slipped and regretted it. Terrifying her had not been something he meant to do. He had only wanted her to share information with her, he wanted her trust. She had become his obsession and he hoped she wouldn't remember him kissing her.

The miko had very strong power though it was hidden. Probably due to her lack of training she was not able to access it. Perhaps he should train her in using her ability and in some physical defense. He would hate to see her get hurt again. Depending on Inuyasha for protection had backfired on her. Being able to fight would give her an unexpected edge over enemies who wished to kill her.

I need to find her he thought. The sooner they started the better she would be. Putting down his thick paperwork he stood. After briefly stretching out his back he made his way towards her scent. She was in the library again. She spent almost all her time there since their incident. Since he had such a great memory he rarely visited his extensive collection of books unless he had a need which was rare.

She had been leaving when he first saw her. She looked beautiful as usual. The kimono complimented both her skin and body while her raven locks hung in loose curls down her back. Almost unnoticeably a small smile crossed his lips as he gazed at her. She was rare that was for sure.

"Miko" he called in his deep voice. Immediately she turned in surprise but froze upon seeing his face. She looked like she was debating running yet knew he could catch up to her. It would be amusing to see her get lost and have to rescue her. Hmm, maybe he would have to ensure that happened if she didn't forgive him. "Relax. I only want to ask you something. I wish to train both your magic and your body. Inuyasha will not be able to save you all the time as it has become apparent. I'm a very skilled warrior and am perfectly capable of teaching you if you agree"

She paused with an open mouth. Apparently what he said was not what she had been expecting. Her eyes widened in disbelief as she began to comprehend what he had said. "You...You want to train me?" she stuttered in a small voice. Her body was still tensed indicating her distrust of him. Frowning he looked at her and took a step closer.

"I'm not going to hurt you or do anything like what I did the other day. I only want to keep you safe and by training you to defend yourself you will be able to do that without someone always needing to be around you." He told her in an even tone.

After a few moments she bit her lip and slowly nodded. "Alright... I trust that you'll train me without doing anything funny." She said in agreement. Her shoulders relaxed and she immediately seemed less nervous around him.

"Training starts tomorrow at ten sharp. Be dressed in the things that a maid will lay out for you and meet me in the courtyard. Be ready for an intense physical workout. We will not be sparring but I will not go easy on you simply because you're a girl." He told her before leaving. A sly smile spread across his face though it was unseen by her because his back was turned.

"What a weird day" he heard her whisper as he turned the corner. Oh Kagome, it's only going to get weirder. I'm determined to make you fall for me and forget Inuyasha. Speaking of the half breed he should be arriving in a few days. I must slow him down! He thought. Frowning he made his way back to his study. Oh yes, arrangements would be made to assure that Inuyasha didn't arrive until his plan had been completed.

The mutt could not get here before Kagome began to develop feelings for him. Inuyasha would only poison her mind. He would be a better match for her than Inuasha anyways. Inuyasha always got her hurt or hurt her himself. Wounds to the heart took time to heal he knew that. That didn't mean that she couldn't begin to see him a different light.
