Chapter 8

Today was the day when everyone left the neutral territory. This event had broken the status quo and would bring about a series of historical events. Of course, Jager didn't want to leave yet because… reasons.

Of course, the time he spent at the base was fun. One of the most notable events was when Hibiki shoved a "drink that would make one stronger (vodka)" down Jager's throat. Honestly, that stuff looks like water so I'm not surprised Jager fell for it. He did recover quickly because, well, Germans and beer.

The excitement died down as one platoon left after another. Soon it was only the Germans who didn't leave yet. Hibiki walked up to Jager.

"Hey," said Hibiki.

"Hey."

"I've been wondering," she began. "Is this yours?" She pulled out a purple handkerchief. It had an ornate flower-design on one corner. Jager's eyes widened.

"Um… yeah," he said. "Thanks." Unfortunately for Jager, Hibiki was not fooled by his "cheerful" expression.

"… Who's was it?" she asked quietly, afraid that she might awaken any traumatic memories.

"My sister's." Jager replied. He stared at the handkerchief with a gentle smile on his face.

"… I'm sorry," said Hibiki.

"Don't be," replied Jager. The two stood there for a bit. Hibiki broke the silence.

"Will you come back?" she asked, a faint blush on her face. Jager's gentle smile returned.

"Of course," replied Jager. "I don't plan on dying (again) any time soon." He turned around. "Auf Wiedersehen."

Hibiki waved. "До свидания (Do svidanya.)"

A few minutes later…

"Hey Jager," asked Karl.

"What?"

"What's up with you and that Russian girl?" Jager blushed deeply (though you can't see it because, well, he's a tank.)

"Nothing. There's nothing between us. We're just friends," Jager replied desperately.

"That's what they all say…"

Meanwhile…

"I don't believe this!" An IS-2 stomped out of the communication tent. "What the hell is Victor thinking!?"

"Lieutenant Andrei, there is another report!" said a T-34-57. "Read this!" Andrei, the IS-2, took the report. Upon reading it, he dropped it in horror.

"Even when there is an order not to retreat," he said, "gunning down retreating troops is going too far!" He slammed his hand down hard on the table.

"That's IT!" he shouted. "I'VE HAD ENOUGH WITH THESE COMMIES!"

German camp…

"Get a move on, men!" shouted Rommel. "Commander Ludwig is coming today! We need to show him that we are one of the best in the Wehrmacht!" The tanks (in human form of course) began to line up in rows based on… tiers (in WoT terms) and units. A German truck drove up to the camp. When it stopped, the door opened and out stepped a rather stereotypical German soldier.

"Welcome commander," said Rommel. The two shook hands.

"I've heard a lot about you and your division, Field Marshal," said Ludwig. Rommel laughed.

"Good things, I hope." Ludwig stepped in front of the group.

"Men! I'm here to deliver you your new orders," he said. "You all are two move south in order to support one of our allied nations." His eyebrows twitched when he said that. "Though I don't really want to call him an ally," he added quietly. He turned back to the group. "That is all!"

Karl and Maya looked at each other.

"Well, this is going to be fun," they said at the same time. But Germ- I mean Ludwig was not done yet.

"Oh one more thing," he said. "I've brought a guest." Just then, a rather nice looking lady stepped out of the truck. (Some of the soldiers got a nosebleed at the sight.)

"Guten Tag," she said. "I am Bismarck, the name ship of the Bismarck-class battleships. You should remember it well." She then noticed Ludwig was looking away from her.

"What are you looking away for?" she asked. *

"Reasons," replied Ludwig.

"Yeah, this IS going to be fun."

Meanwhile, on the Pacific Ocean, there was a fight going on. It's just your average fight between the ships and the abyssal fleet. Except…

"HIBIKI! LOOK OUT!" Hibiki turned around. To her horror she found two torpedoes heading straight for her. She couldn't dodge them. She closed her eyes. There was a big bang, a splash, and a scream. Hibiki opened her eyes and found that Akatsuki had taken the torpedoes instead of her. What's worse, she was sinking. She was too scared to do anything. The trauma was becoming reality. Her sisters, at least one of them, were sinking. And… let's just say she went into rage mode and sank the whole abyssal fleet in front of her.

Underneath the water, however, was an unsuspecting ally. A boy found Akatsuki sinking slowly. He couldn't just leave her there. He had to do something.

And that was exactly what Gilbert, the U-panzer III, decided to do.
