HAI.

GUESS WHO'S BACK?

Sorry for my leap of absence, a combination of multiple personal matters halted all of my stories.

10 Months Later...

(A/N)Everything up to the episode Graduation (season 4) happened, with the acceptation of anything romantic, and Kol's alive (duh), thus the dead witched, hybrids, and vampires aren't planning on screwing everyone, except the witched who are pissed at Caroline ('cuz I couldn't miss pissed witches). Elijah never went by the town, but they still found Kathrine. Jeremy and Bonnie are still dead. It's been a while since I've seen season 4, so there will probably be gaps, sorry. It's either updated with gaps, or another month of waiting. You got a happy summer with Rebekah and Matt, so none of that. Sorry.

This is set in the episode Graduation. Final time. You might wanna rewatch it.

"I'm here!" Elena said, "Thank you for getting all to be here."

"I can't believe it!" Caroline said, "Bonnie Bennett, are you crying?"

"It's our last hurrah before you guys go off to college." Bonnie said, sniffling slightly.

"Before we go off to college!" Caroline corrected, hitting Bonnie lightly on the arm.

"I kinda, sorta missed the deadline."Elena said, "You know, being an emotionless bitch."

"The perks of being a vampire! Group hug!"

"Elena Gilbert."

Bonnie clapped, and behind her a familiar voice said," Greetings little witch."

Bonnie's eyes widened, and she turned around to see Kol smiling at her. Kol zipped around and sat in the seat next to her, currently unoccupied.

"I was hoping to take you on that date." Kol said, half amirk, half smile set in place.

Bonnie launched forward, hugging him. If she was dead, she would enjoy her last few hours.

Caroline shook her head at another missed call, and Stefan continued talking to Alaric

All three vampires held their heads as the three dead witches came upon them. "Remember us Caroline?" One said, holding her hand up to keep the spell going.

A graduation cap decapitated the witch doing the spell, and the other two had there hearts ripped out of their chest.

Stefan, Elena, and Caroline looked up to see Klaus and Elijah stand there, Klaus with a happy smirk, and Elijah with a plain smile.

Elena walked up slowly to Elijah, and touch his chest tentively to make sure he was there.

"You're here." Elena said, voice slightly tinged with wonder.

"I'm here." He said, taking her hand with his own.

She wrapped her arms around his neck, and pulled him in for a deep kiss, causing Elijah to wrap his arms around Elena's waist.

Caroline walked up to Klaus, and he smiled, "Going t-"

He was shut up with a slap to his face, interrupting Elijah and Elena's kiss.

"Elijah gets greeted with a kiss, and I get a slap? How is that fair?" Klaus complained, earning a chuckle from Elena, causing Elijah to smile.

"You should have picked up your damn phone!" Caroline yelled, "I was worried!"

Klaus's expression softened, and he said, "Worried?"

Instead of explaining, Caroline pulled him in for a kiss. When thy broke, she said,"Yes, I was worried."

"Why don't we all change out of these graduation uniforms and have a celebration at my house in an hour?" Stefan said.

"Sounds fun!" Caroline said, back to her bubbly self, getting Klaus to chuckle. "I'll tell Bonnie, Matt, Rebekah, and Kol." Caroline said with a smile.

Stefan departed for home, Elena went back to her house, promising to meet Elijah at the Salvatore Mansion, and Caroline took Klaus with her (Although Klaus wouldn't have let Caroline out of his sight after that kiss).

Elena walked inside the house, only to hear Jeremy screaming her name, and to see a steak go through her heart.

"If the witches can't get Forbes, than we'll get Gilbert." The witch said.

Minutes later, Elena awoke next to her body. She took one look at her body and knew. She looked up to see Jeremy offering her a hand which she took.

"It's time to say goodbye." Jeremy said, and Elena nodded.

Elena took s couple steps up the stairs, picking out the outfit she wanted to wear for the rest of eternity.

Klaus was in Caroline's house for two seconds before Caroline claimed his his mouth with a deep, needy kiss. Klaus wasted no time in replying, and pick her up, carrying her to her bedroom.

Bonnie and Kol made sat in the graduation chairs, Bonnie's head on his shoulder, just sitting there. Bonnie had to drop the veil soon, so she had to denie Caroline a party.

"Bonnie." Her grams said, appearing in front of them.

"Grams." Bonnie said, sitting up.

"I talked and worked with the witches on this side. We found a way to bring you back." Her Grams said, joy tinging her words.

"Bring you back?" Kol said, but Bonnie said quickly, "Now I'm back. I'm alive. We could have a million dates and I can yell at you a million ways."

Kol smiled, and kiss her softly. "Sounds like heaven, love."

Elena pulled up to the Salvatore bording house in her pink sweater and jeans. Something comfortable that will last an eternity. She opened the front door to see Caroline, Klaus, Stefan, Lexi, Matt, Rebekah, Damon, Alaric, and Elijah waiting for her.

She walked Elijah's side, who automatically smile at her, leaned down and said, "That's what you were wearing when we met."

"I know." Elena whispered back, "I could never get out the blood stain."

Elijah chuckled, and Caroline called everyone in for a toast.

"It's been a crazy couple of years." Caroline began, looking at everyone with a smile. "We all have grown up, found love, died once or two million, and yet... here we are. Cheers."

Everyone drank, and Jeremy's voice cut through the happy mood. "We have about a minute left until the veil is down."

Lexi, and Alaric left, not wanting everyone to see them disappearing.

"Elena, you coming?" Jeremy asked.

"Yeah, give me a minute Jer." Elena said.

"Wait, going? Going where?" Caroline asked, eyes slightly wide.

Elena smiled slightly, "The witches weren't done. They needed some blood before they could leave."

"So, you mean your...?" Caroline said, choking up.

"Yeah. I guess this is goodbye." Elena said, tearing up a little.

Elijah's face was stone, a sad look etched firmly on it. Elena took his face in her hands, and said, "Don't be sad, please. When you're sad, it feels like I'm dying."

"The fact that you're gone, sweet Elena, is what is causing me pain." Elijah said, memorizing every deatail of her face.

"You're going to find a nice girl out there who is going to love you. You two will be happy, and will have a happy life." Elena said, near to tears talking about a life she couldn't have.

She kissed his forehead lightly, a tear escaping. She left without another word, knowing that if she stayed one more second she would brake down in front of everyone.

She was halfway down the driveway when she heard Elijah call out for her.

She kept walking as fast as she could, needing to let him go for his sake.

A hand grasped her shoulder, and turned her around. "You can't get rid of me that easy." Elijah said, a lone tear streaming down his face.

"You have to let go." Elena said, both physically and metaphorically.

"I can't." Elijah said, full of conviction, "I won't."

"What can you do?" Elena said, trying to break through to him. "I'm dead!"

"So am I." Elijah said.

"You are living dead. I'm dead dead." Elena said.

"I can't be living dead while you're dead. I just found you, I'm not losing you." Elijah said.

"Elijah. It's time." ELena said, deadpan, feeling the veil go up.

"I love you." Elijah said.

Elena said, "I lo-"

Nothing.

Elijah stood, alone.

"I'll find a way Elena, I promise."

Not a good ending, but it's the ending.

Nicely review, as this is the end. Leave something good, so that when I come back to this story, I'll feel something akin to comfort and accomplishment.

Thank to all of you loyal readers.

Thanks for you patience.
