The drive to Bobby's house was long and grueling for Helen. She was never used to staying in a car for so long. The Winchester Brothers seemed completely fine with it though; no issues at all. On the other hand, Helen was currently having a mental breakdown in the back seat from boredom. "Oh my God..." Helen complained with her forehead against the window. "How do you two keep sane with this long of a drive?"
Sam chuckled and replied, "We're used to it I suppose." He glanced back to see Helen staring wearily outside. "Why don't you try to get some sleep – to pass the time?" he suggested.
"Yeah, I guess," Helen said before she laid down on the leather seat. Journey was humming softly from the speakers when Helen closed her eyes to attempt to fall asleep. Dean was kind enough to not blare the music even if he enjoyed this song a lot. Slowly but surely, Helen's consciousness slipped into a dream state.
Like before, the wind was light and warm. It was comforting as Helen felt the blades of grass brush against her legs. Someone gently placed a hand on her forearm. An unknown feeling of endorphins kicked in and Helen smiled. With skin touching, he held her. Suddenly to Helen, time was non-existent as it felt like him and her were being held by silk thread. But even though his hold on her was soft, it was strong and firm – just like the strains of fiber that a spider would call home. "Helen," he whispered in her ear. His hot breath tickled her earlobe and she giggled. "What are you laughing about?" he asked and Helen could hear the smile in his voice.
"It tickled when whispered in my ear," Helen replied with a smile appearing on her face. She heard him inhale and then lightly blow air onto her ear again. A giggle escaped her mouth again. Whoever he was, he stepped in front of her; but for some reason, Helen was never able to see his face.
Soon she felt his breath on her face and then his lips brushed lightly on her lips. His hands were on her face – almost as if he was cupping her face to hold her still. But he didn't need to hold her still for him to kiss her. Helen was completely okay with him kissing her. And like before, he felt like home – a safe and sturdy haven.
"It's time to wake up," he whispered.
Helen frowned. "I don't want to leave," she whispered back. She heard him chuckle and then he kissed her on the forehead.
"Trust me, I'll be waiting right here," he said and Helen felt him smile against her forehead. "For now at least." A lukewarm sensation unexpectedly washed over her and Helen felt herself fall.
"Helen?"
Helen's hazel eyes snapped opened before she sat up quickly. "Huh?" She asked sleepily and rubbed her eyes.
"We're almost there," Dean replied and Helen nodded.
"How long was I asleep?" Helen asked, stretching her legs out on the seat. She felt completely rested even though her stomach was still sore.
Sam glanced at her and then at his cellphone. "I would say five hours," he replied.
Helen blinked at him in disbelief. "Holy crap, for real?" Sam nodded. "Wow, I didn't mean to sleep that long," she said and adjusted her shirt so it wouldn't ride up. In a couple of miles, a metal entrance that said 'Singer Auto Salvage' came into view. Helen was a little anxious about meeting another hunter. She had no idea who he was or knew the way he would react to meeting her. What if he didn't like her and didn't want to teach her to become a hunter? Her eyes took in all her surrounding as Dean parked the impala. There were countless broken down cars to be seen and Helen paused before getting out of the car.
"Helen, are you coming?" Sam asked after he had gotten a couple of things out of the trunk. She nodded and quickly got out of the car. The new Earth Spirit Aspen Suede Boots she had gotten at Wal-mart were going to be a small challenge to used to them since they were bulkier than flip-flops that she would wear daily. As she went up the stairs, Helen tripped and nearly did a face-plant.
Dean began to laugh and Helen glared at him. "Need to some help?" Dean snickered.
"I'm not use to boots," Helen explained with a pouting face as the three of them reached the door. Dean opened the door and walked through it without knocking. Sam followed his brother and Helen followed Sam through the door. The house was anything but neat. Stacks of books lined the walls as piles of paper covered any surface. On the side of the books were occult titles and titles she couldn't read. It look like it was written in Latin.
"Sam? Dean?" A voice asked and Helen's head snapped in front of her to see a man wearing a flannel shirt, and a trucker's hat. His face unshaven and he gave of the vibe of being a father figure to the Winchesters as he brought Dean into a big hug. As soon as he also hugged Sam, his blue eyes fell on Helen. "And who do we have here?"
Helen flustered and glanced at the boys. "This is Helen Dodson," Dean said and Helen smiled.
"It's nice to meet you," Helen said and Bobby also smiled.
"So this is the girl that Castiel saved from Alastair?" Bobby asked and Dean nodded. Suddenly, the same sickening feeling that Helen got when she thought about Alastair punched her in the gut – reminding her of the pain. Helen's eyes shifted from Bobby to the floorboards.
Sam saw Helen's uncomfortableness. "So, um, Helen needs to stay here until everything blows over," Sam said and Helen looked at him. Sam realized that he had pick a bad choice of words. They had told Helen that they had no idea what Alastair wanted with her, but the truth was that they do have a hunch. However, for now, it would be best not to tell Helen all of the truth. Like Dean said before, "I don't think she would take it too well knowing that Lucifer wants her to be his bitch". "Since we're not completely sure what Alastair wanted with her," Sam said quickly and Helen's confused face disappeared. Relief washed over Sam.
Bobby nodded. "Yeah, that's what you boys said over the phone," Bobby said and looked at Helen. "Well, there's a spare bedroom upstairs that you can use while these two are gone."
"Thank you," Helen thanked him with a bigger smile.
"Why don't you go get your things from the trunk?" Dean suggested as he tossed the keys to her and then turned to Bobby. "We just need to catch up a little." Helen could tell that Dean was hinting that they needed to talk privately, so she nodded. "But are you sure you can handle the bags with your stomach?"
Bobby looked at Dean, perplexed. "Yeah, I can handle it," Helen said quickly before Bobby could ask any questions. "I-I'll be right back." She quickly made her to the door and left the house.
"What's wrong her stomach?" Bobby asked.
Sam dropped his bag on the floor and sat half way on a desk. "Before I had gotten there to stop Alastair, Castiel said that Helen had stopped Alastair," Sam explained.
"Her?" Bobby asked in surprise and jerked his thumb in the direction of the door that Helen had just walked through.
"Yeah, she took Ruby's knife and stabbed him in the back to stop him. But, she wasn't able to stand a chance against him once all of his attention was on her," Sam said and glanced at Dean and then back Bobby. "Before Castiel had saved her, he had stabbed her four times and then, when Helen had attacked him in order to save Castiel...he pinned her and actually ripped his fingers through the stitches and began to literally claw her insides before I got there to stop him."
Bobby looked at Sam in disgust. "That's not the worst part," Dean said as he leaned against the wall. "Alastair did worst damage that we didn't tell you about over the phone when we had called you a couple of days ago." Dean paused as Bobby turned to him. "He raped her."
Anger swept over Bobby's face. "Then it's good that you killed that son of a bitch," Bobby said and both brothers nodded. "Is she dealing with everything okay? She actually seemed fine to me..."
"That's because she wants to become a hunter," Dean said with a small smile. Bobby stared at Dean for a second before sighing. "Hey, we explained what could happen if she was to become a hunter. She understands what responsibilities she going to have to take as a hunter and she's completely okay with it."
"And what about her family?" Bobby questioned with a raised eyebrow.
"She has no family left, Bobby," Dean said and sympathy washed over Bobby's face.
Bobby sat down in a chair while asking, "So I'm the one who's going to be coaching her?"
"Well, we're planning to stay here for a day or so, just so we can train her a little before we have to take off," Sam told him. "But after that, yeah, you'll have to train her. Is that okay?"
"Or are you getting to old for that?" Dean joked and Bobby glared at him.
"Don't make me slap you clean across the face, boy."
Sam laughed and Dean simply closed his mouth, fearing to be bitch slapped by Bobby.
"But yeah, I'll train her," Bobby stated and both boys smiled.
