Spacey's POV

I sit motionless and soundlessly on the floor of the observatory. My eyes gently shut my hands on my knees, and breathing a slow pace. I visualize myself in the tranquil sands of a white desert, the winds wisp by me, in an almost ancient tribal shrilling of the hot skies. There's an undetected beauty in the scolding coarse landscape. Like an unseemly, minute creature just waiting to became something extraordinary. Like a simple spark igniting a great inferno whilst it's saddening in such, it also brings forth the grace of new life rising above the ashes. Even in the darkest of places you can find light, the stars and all their glory in the blackness of the sky. Each one with a story of their own to tell, a fiery death or an iridescent birth. There is so much more to a blade of glass then a mere glance of the eye. A rain drop as it descends from the clouds in a horde of cold mists, bathing the land in a cleaning haze. Although, my serene vivid haven is disturbed. "Spacey hello…? Earth to Spacey anyone home?" A familiar jarring voice tears me out of my sanctum.

"Ugh… What Red?" I say exasperated at the thorny devil. He offers a crimson smile with his savage and repetitive teeth. I rest my head under my hand waiting for him to response. "You've been up here the whole day after Gigan's missing person report." He queries leaning against my left shoulder crystal. "I'm meditating while the place is empty." I answer. His brow jerks and his expression begs an explanation, "Meda what?" I chuckle and shake my head, "Mediation it's a form of healing for the mind and body." He again appears confused, "You've got super charged G-cell healing not a problem." He snickers. "I know that Red, mediating it meant to help realign energies and help the mind stay balanced." Destroyah was never one for deep mental philosophy. "Oh please you don't actually believe that spiritual bull crap do you?"

I resume shutting my eyes continuing my focus. "I believe it can better shape my skills and attention span. It could do you some good if you tried." I observe him in the room using my telepathic sensory receptors. He wonders around for a bit unsure if he should join me or just walk away. His dagger sharp feet drag on floor alongside his long forked tail. He's stubborn, but getting through his dense crabby skull has gotten easier for most of us. He's learned to respect command and his teammates at least making snide remarks when they're pass the exit. Pressure releases like a valve as his brain waves settle in his temporal lobe. He surrenders and comes down beside me, "Okay you win alright?" He says bitterly. "I wasn't forcing or guilting you into anything Red, you chose." I reply.

"So how do I meditate exactly?" He inquires. "It's simple put your mind set in a calm natural place, close your eyes, and breathe as you usually would." I advise. His nerves slow as his body relaxes and the tightness in his muscles unfold. No doubt his system is being flooded with endorphins the chemical that calms the body. "If I may ask where's your happy place exactly?" I whisper. "Hmm anywhere Keiko is I'm happy." Red talks with a smile. He truly speaks as a lover that the greatest of all beauties in the world are in his lover's eyes.

His mind is enveloped by the mere thoughts of her, one human was able to touch a part of him we all believed didn't exist. It changed him in many ways; his narcissistic attitude became team work and consideration. His hot temper and big headedness became patience and respect to others. And the one I've really noticed his hush raspy voice has mellowed out in the past year. His relationships with the Commander and Godzilla have improved and the name calling has stopped entirely. "See Red not that hard at all…" I say only to hear snoring echo in my ears. He's fallen asleep sitting in place, that's a new one even for Red. I shake my head and decide to let the devil sleep off his early morning. I silently step out of the room and the doors shut behind me. I was told earlier this morning I revised another message from Dr. Himekawa, so I'm heading back to the labs to forward a new one.

I greet the lab's secretary and explain I'm here to transfer a new message back to Earth. She sets up a camera for me and I stand in front preparing what to say. "Hello, Himekawa…" I pause at the beginning of the sentence trying to find the words. It's nice to get messages from Earth, reassuring that everyone's okay keeps me sane. Maybe in the coming months we could have a live video chat. A real face to face conversation, until then well sayōnara doctor." I fold my hands and bow my head.

I leave the lab immediately after and set out to make a productive day for myself. I decide to go and start at the library could read a few books or chat with the students. But before I am able to enter someone in the distance calls my name. "Wait Spacey, hold up a minute!" I turn to see Anguirus sprinting full speed at me. "Whoa Anguirus slow down bud, it's the middle of the day no need to shout." I say in a calm tone. "I… Know but… I don't… Have any…one left to ask…" He replies breathlessly. I find that very hard to believe considering his companions. "What do you mean there's no else, where's Godzilla and Rodan?" I inquire. "G went to see Dr. Hakari about Kiryu I don't know what about and Rodan is in the hanger with Evans." He explains. Still, this doesn't feel like desperate situation for him to acting in this manner. "Anguirus, what is such an issue that it couldn't wait for Godzilla?" I retort. "Because Chika is missing! Not missing of several days ago I mean, I lost her two hours ago and I can't find her anywhere!" He yells in panic. My mind suddenly goes into a different thinking process, "Did you report it to an officer or to Gigan?!" Anguirus nods. "I did but I don't think it's helping, beside her friend Shinju is gone too. I can't pick up either of their scent trails; they've just vanished out of thin air."

Okay, the situation is completely different from what I originally assumed; both a minor and her kaiju are MIA and no explanation. There's no way to track them if there is no viable odor or piece of DNA from their physical person. I have to go about this in the most rational and logical way I understand. I tell Anguirus we need get fresh sample of her scent, likely off of one her personal belongings. Anguirus says he knows what she smell like, however I'm doing this way to be sure. After he sniffs out her bed and school bag we rewind through the day to find when it goes cold. We later arrive in the southern second floor corridor, "Here this is where I lost sight of her." He says solemnly. "Alright and you're sure you can't smell any trace of her in her?" I ask again. "Honest Spacey I wouldn't joke on something this important." Anguirus says. As I cautiously walk into the hall I detect slight change in the temperature. "Hey, you feel that? Its faint but it feels colder here…" I say puzzled.

"Yeah, that's odd I thought the entire colony had a regulated temperature and air system?" He says getting a sudden chill. "It does…" I prepare to continue. I reach down and rub the floor again discovering the same frosty texture. "Anguirus, I've two possible ideas for this random cold spot." I state. "Which would be…?" He dangles on my words. "A poltergeist or…" I hiss while biting my lip. "Or what Spacey, what?" Anguirus demands. "Or someone's been in the central energy core, that just so happens to be surrounded by cryogenics stabilizing units." I murmur. "You really think she's in there Space?" Anguirus says like he doesn't want to know. "No, Anguirus I think someone took her there…" His face than drops into shock, when the realization hits him head on. "It's him…" He mutters back to me.

Anguirus' POV

I had hoped it wouldn't come this, but I guess it was inevitable. This psycho murderer has this whole colony as his personal playground. First the party on Halloween, than the power grid being shut down and now the sick bastard is kidnapping people. "If you want to get her back Anguirus you have to trust me on this." Spacey says firmly. "I do trust you Spacey… I'm just afraid of what we might find." I say. He sighs heavily and turns back to me, "That's a risk we're going have to take Anguirus." I nod knowing he'd say that. "I get it but should we at least tell someone where we're going first?" I say concerned. "Who are we going to tell Kiryu? You already said everyone was caught up in other things. However, if something bad does happen I'm confident that the rest of the team will come for us." Spacey replies.

"Alright Spacey where do we start?" I ask. "Where it left off we need to access the energy core." Spacey answers. We calmly return to the Command Center, trekking silently through the hallway and Spacey runs his hand on the walls mentally searching for an entrance. His face is rather docile; it's rare I ever see this in any of my team mates. He stops as he taps a certain area of wall, he says there is a passage here because when he force sound from one side it resonates on the opposite side. He motion to me to move back, "Okay just a little shove and it should open…" Spacey mumbles to himself. His powers spike into the metal surface and a door is slow formed.

A blast of freezing air slams into us as we enter; flakes descend like a snow storm. Its twenty degrees below zero in here, fortunately it's not cold enough in here to affect us. I can't say the same for Chika, if she's stuck for too long she'll die of hypothermia. We're looking for specific expanses of the core, places where technicians come to repair or replace installation and wires to keep the core safe. "So how do we find her in here Spacey?" I say pushing my snout in the air. "Don't bother Anguirus the temps in the room will desensitize any odor in here. We go by sight and sound to get her back." Spacey warns me. "What are the chances of him being here?" I ask. "Very high let's try not to think about it too much…" Spacey replies. The frozen ground crunches beneath our feet as we step further into this bizarre place. It feels as if we've gotten nowhere just wondering in circles.

I can't wait any longer I have to do something then sit quiet. "Chika! Chika where are you? It's me, Anguirus try telling me where you are!" I shout. "What are you doing?!" Spacey sneers barely above a whisper. "If she's still alive or conscious for that matter she could hear. Like you said use the other senses to our advantage." I retort angrily. In the midst of the auguring a shrill cry is heard and echoes in the cold. I attempt again at calling out for her and I receive another mournful shriek. Spacey and I race to find her sobbing face concealed somewhere in the energy core. We round a corner and spot a small maintenance room that leads into a larger area. And there sitting against a wall her hands tied to steel pipe was Chika. I hurry to her and use my teeth to tear the bindings from the pipe. "Anguirus!" She screams throwing her arms on my head and shivering horribly. "Shhhh it's okay Chika we're going to take you home."

I have Spacey scan her body's vitals and he informs me that's she alright for now, but needs to be warmed up immediately. I get her on my neck and we haul our butts out of there. We reach the medical bay and get Chika attention; they wrap her in blankets and start her on fluids. I report it to Kiryu as soon as I can; he's reasonably upset yet is glad we could handle this kind of situation on our own. Later that afternoon his troops discover Shinju, he's dead covered in stab wounds. Spacey and I stay in the quarters for the remainder of the day.

We don't really talk about it there isn't much to say. I mean I appreciate the help and I'm happy we save her but… I think it's the point in which we don't feel safe even with friends around. When is this killer going to be done playing games and finally pull the trigger on this colony? Because I'm getting real tired of him moving us like pawns.
