Tsurugi was walking back to his street after walking Tenma home when practice was over. He walked down the road beside the forest, quietly humming a tune.
He was stopped suddenly when he bumped into someone,
"Sorry 'bout that." He muttered, not looking at the person and continuing to walk,
"Now that's no way to talk to the ruler of all vampires, is it?"
Tsurugi froze in place before spinning around to be faced with none other than Vanfeny Vamp—the leader of all vampires, who was simply standing there with his arms crossed and a smug smile on his face.
"Is there something I can help you with sir?" Tsurugi said coldly.
"Please address me as 'Vanfeny-sama'" The vampire leader insisted before continuing his speech despite Tsurugi's annoyed expression, "Why am I here? You've heard the rumors, right? The rumors about your little boyfriend? Hm?"
Tsurugi was about to retort to his boyfriend statement before the words finally made sense to him. Vanfeny was referring to the rumors about Tenma's blood.
"Don't you dare go near him!" Tsurugi growled.

Vanfeny opened one of his closed eyes to glare at Tsurugi,
"You can't be ordering around your leader. That requires a punishment, you know." Vanfeny slowly walked towards Tsurugi, who began to back away. But unfortunately, Vanfeny has had more practice with his vampire powers and was behind Tsurugi in the blink of an eye.
the younger vampire felt a hand on his head and heard the words,
"To bad your boyfriend is going to become vampire food while you get what you deserve down in the dungeons."
After that everything faded to black.

Later that evening, Tenma received a text from Tsurugi,
"Tenma, we need to talk. Meet me at the park near your house."
The text was of course, referring to the park that was on the next street over. Tenma wasn't sure why Tsurugi didn't just go to his house like he usually does, but it sounded like whatever he had to say was important.

It had just started to get dark when Tenma arrived at the empty park a few minutes later. He circled the whole place, but didn't spot Tsurugi anywhere. He jumped, startled by a voice from behind him,
"She was right. He's more easy to trick then we thought."
He then felt someone grab his hands and hold them behind his back, and keep him where he was standing. A man with Silver hair came into view,
"Do you know who I am?" He asked. Tenma slowly shook his head and the man continued, "How dare your little boyfriend not tell you about the ruler of the vampires?" Tenma's eyes widened at that statement but he continued his little speech, "And my name is Vanfeny Vamp, but it doesn't matter, really." Vanfeny laughed at Tenma's face of disbelief and he took Tsurugi's phone out of his pocket and tossed it on the ground near Tenma, "I took this from your boyfriend earlier. Who knew it could come in handy!" He laughed, standing so his face was only centimeters away from Tenma's,
"How do you feel now that you're the feeding grounds for the head vampire?"
Tenma didn't respond, he just stared in shock and horrer.
"Take him away boys!" Vanfeny said with a flick of his wrist, "Take him to where he'll never see the sunlight again!"

With that, Tenma was shoved forward by the person holding back his hands, but was surprised when he suddenly heard them scream, and he was freed soon after that. All eyes shot to the culprit,

It was Ophelia.

Ophelia held a Scarlet rod in her hands, strongly and firmly as if she'd held it hundreds of times before. With expert handing and movements, she sent the men flying into the nearest tree trunk, and they were both knocked out cold. She turned to glare at Vanfeny with her dark eyes, but she didn't attack.
She ran out of the park, leaving the words,
"Rising from the dust, the ashes, the dirt is the thing you fear most the threat to your thirst. By moonlight we will awaken, what you've sought to keep hidden, we are the ones of the moonlight and we rise again from the dust, from the ashes and the dirt."

Vanfeny disappeared soon after that, now that his bodyguards were gone, leaving Tenma alone in the park.
Although he was confused, he knew that the best decision right now was to go home.
All night he couldn't forget about what happened. Why did Vanfeny have Tsurugi's phone? Was he alright? What did Ophelia mean? And she had a scarlet rod, just like Shindou and Kirino…
She had such excellent control over her speed and strength, was she really just a fledgling.
"Arg!" Tenma shook his head as he lay in his bed, "How did I manage to get myself involved in this!?"

The next day, Tsurugi was not at school, but Ophelia was. She sat calmly in her seat as if nothing had happened the night before. Cici was doodling in her notebook, completely unaware of what almost happened.
Before Tenma could ask Ophelia about last night, the teacher came in and began the class.

Tenma found Shindou and Kirino during lunch and told them what happened the night before.
"Wait! What did you say Ophelia said?" Shindou asked. All Tenma said was that Ophelia spoke of a threat and moonlight.
"Uhhh…" Tenma thought for a moment, trying to remember the words, "I think it was something like, 'rising from dust, ashes and dirt, your biggest fear and threat will awaken by moonlight, we are the ones of moonlight and we will rise again…" He didn't say anything for a long time, but Kirino and Shindou were just staring at him, "It was something like that! I don't remember exactly!"
"That's weird." Kirino said, "Based on what you said, she has access to a lot more of her powers then she should for a fledgling…"
Tenma looked at the ground, "But I'm worried about Tsurugi… Vanfeny said he took Tsurugi's phone from him, and then he wasn't at school today. I'm afraid something happened to him…"
"Something did happen to him." A new voice joined in, "He's been imprisoned in Vanfeny's dungeons. You won't see him again."
Tenma's gaze snapped to the speaker, who was…Ophelia.
"W-What do you mean!?"
It's exactly what it sounds like. You'll never see Tsurugi again." She paused, flashing a smirk, which was unusual for her, "Unless, of course, we break him out."
"How do you know that?" Shindou asked, standing up along with Kirino.
Ophelia shrugged, "I just do."
"Why did he imprison Tsurugi?" Kirino asked next.
"Because he knows something that he's not supposed to." Was her reply, "Now are we going to break in and get Tsurugi back or not?"
Shindou frowned,
"Well we can't just walk on in. Kirino and I alone aren't powerful enough to force our way in."
"Wall maybe if you had your third member." She said as her response.
Kirino's eyes widened, "How did you know about-"
Ophelia cut Kirino off,
"How rude." She held her hair up in a ponytail with her hand and put a smirk on your face, "Don't you remember me? Japanese shores, the summer of 1881, the day you first arrived in Japan."
Kirino and Shindou glanced at Ophelia, and then each other with wide eyes,
"EHHHH!?"

Hmmm and the plot thickens. Tsurugi has been imprisoned for knowing something that Vanfeny doesn't like him knowing. Why does everyone else seem to dislike Vanfeny? What does Ophelia know that she's not telling, what does she mean by 'the third member'? Member of what? Why does she have a scarlet rod to? And just who did Kirino and Shindou recognize her as?

Those are questions that are yet to be answered...

You have no idea how hard it was to write Ophelia's stupid poetic line
