"Klaus Mikaelson, I presume?" Madeleine confidently said, as her eyes raking over Klaus's body as she made her way back to his face, "Bad, I've to admit, the paintings weren't fair for you!"
Klaus chuckled, "I underestimated you, Forbes family!"
"Well, they were protecting their daughter from you." She said between her breathes, and then rolled her eyes, when she heard him laugh. "I see. They've not succeeded!"
"Oh, and they won't be able to." He thought out loud and she raised her head sharply to glare at him.
"What do you mean? What did you do to my brother?" She asked, afraid for her brother's well-being.
"Well, he wasn't there for her most times, was he?" he said rolling his eyes.
"What did you do to him?" She asked him more firmly, wanting to get a release for her mind of thoughts which started to play with her mind.
"Oh, Caroline's searching for you. So, don't fret, I'm planning on joining you with your brother!" he said with a smile.
As Caroline's head resting on Kol's hip, the young original was thinking of ways to end the suffer of the girl who would succeed in changing his mood, if a smile was printed on her lips, he stared down at her after a while of resisting his desire and strong need, as his eyes were cautiously watching her feminine face, he glimpsed a drop of uncolored liquid dropping from the corner of her eye, tighten his chest, as his heart broke for the little girl, he would no longer remain silent mouthed in front of his brother, the monster in his brother was blinding his brother's eyes, and he wouldn't allow for this silliness to continue. As his hand came to her check, removing the remain of the salty liquid, caressing the softness of it, the blond angle let out a hot breath, burning the back his hand along with his black heart.
"You left me no choice, Caroline." He breathed out, breathing with it, his bitter, and venom over his brother. The hatred for his own flesh and blood. Such a strong motive he has to end someone's life. As his fingers of the other hand came through her locks of gold.
"What do I have to do?" He asked her sleepy form, searching for answers. Or perhaps a silent agreement over the things he intended to do. Her clothes smelled like his brother, perhaps her smell became the same as his, but that was only delusion, she is always in Klaus's room, searching over things he left, searching for the remains after him! giving up and swearing that a sleep will heal his mind, he rested his head on the wall behind it, closing his eyes, preventing any thought of his misery from poisoning his short moment of happiness as that soon will be to dust.

Turning towards the sound, Kol's eyes tried to adjust in the darkness as she heard his sister swear. "Rebekah?!"He said sleepily.
Kol's mouth parted at that arrogant assumption. "No, he does not!" she stated in horror replacing his drowsiness.
"He's back in town, Kol!" She said, fear in her voice, moving in the air to her brother's ears.
New Orleans, October 10th, 1992:
Elizabeth Forbes was lying down on a bed in New Orleans Hospital, praying to god he would save her daughter from evil, which is surrounding her. Her husband has abandoned them, her and her sweet newborn girl, her heart was broken. She had been his first and his love, their child born without seeing her father, and was bonded to evil by a cruel oppressive fate, as the Bennett who occupied the last original vampire was in town, nothing has happened in there town. That was the day when Sheila Bennett had told her about her daughter's fate, to be an important soul in the devil's life, a soul he wanted to protect, to save, to love and to harm, trick her to have her by his side, he would be a danger in her life, he would steal her from her mother's arm, rob her without mercy, without thinking of her want or desire to be by her parents side. He would live in heart, and she won't be able to keep him out of it, he would be underneath her skin. She would cry, suffer and bleed.
Elizabeth tightened her grip on her daughter, as she looked at her down between her arms, sympathy filling her, she wouldn't be capable of protecting her, and she felt helpless, weak. But she would do as she can, she would protect her sweet angel with her life, guard her from the truth. Her thoughts were cut by the sound of her door opening, a man with dirty blond hair, looking at her, examining her, and then his eyes fall on her daughter, her heart skipped a beat as his eyes glimmered and a happiness was in them, which has disappeared when he watched her eyes scanning him in return and a astonishment was clear on her face.
"I'm-" He started, but her voice came to interrupt his deep staring at her daughter to meet her eyes.
"Niklaus Mikaelson!" She said horror in her voice.
"We're on more familiar terms then call me Klaus." He said, removing the remain of red liquid from the side of his lips and roughly brining his finger to suck on it.
"We don't want anything from you, just stay away from us!" She said, looking away from him, her green eyes filling with tears again.
"I'm afraid everything will not turn out the way you hope!" He said coldly.
"STOP IT!" She screamed, jerking away from his hardened eyes. "Stop it, What do you want from us?" She screamed again, and the baby squalled, balling her tiny fists. Elizabeth held her closer, gently cradling her head with her arm. "You scared her." She turned back to Klaus, glowering.
He waited silently for her to calm the child. As he listened to her cries, something heavy and unfamiliar settled in his chest. The baby was pale, her hair the same as her mother. Klaus shook his head then straightened, "About Caroline—"
"Kore."
"Excuse me?"
"Her name shall be Kore."
"I decided to name her Caroline. And given her name, her future power, and the part she will play—"
Liz looked away from him. "She is not to be mated." She mocked his tone, "And certainly not to someone as hard-hearted as you."
He recoiled, then drew himself up and narrowed his eyes at her. "When she comes of age—"
"She will remain with me," she said, but her voice wavered as she spoke. Liz's eyes grew wide and pleading. "Klaus, please; she's all I have left." She looked down at her baby girl, who was now murmuring softly as she drifted to sleep.
"I had a bargain," he said, growing impatient. "She is a part of the oath that your witch swore to me."
"There is no longer a witch," Elizabeth cried. "She has left, so the oath is no longer exist, your problem is with her not my daughter, stay away from my daugh—"
"Careful...," he said quietly, his teeth on edge. Love and loss of love were not his province. He didn't understand matters of the heart any more than he could understand childbirth or the movements of the sea. "Her choice of leaving has nothing to do with our pact."
"How could you take a child from her mother's arms?" she whispered helplessly.
"If you cooperate, she will remain between your arms until one day, however." He said, as he was approaching his mate who was lying in her mother's arms sleeplessly, "Now, give her to me." His voice harshly demanded.
As his palm cupped her head, her mother heavily lowered her hands from her daughter, she has promised her to keep her safe, as safe as she can. And now, she's handing her to him, as a prey to his eyes as she is.
Klaus's breathes hitched in his guts, as her eyes swimming deeply in his, she was pure, soft in his hands, his heart was ripped from his chest as he felt her touch on his face, her hand reaching his face, and a laugh was welcoming him in her world. Never had he seen a creature so innocent. He tentatively reached out a pale finger and lightly brushed it over her light pink cheek. He watched as her eyelids fluttered more, and her lips twitched. He quickly drew his hand away in fear he was causing her pain. As her laughing sound was finished, she turned her head to meet her mother's hand outstretched to take her away from him. He felt his heart was being ripped again, feeling her slipping away, as her hands were reaching to her mother's. In that moment, his selfishness increased, as his grip on tightened, he wanted to take her away, keep her for only his eyes, but he has to be patient, he can't have her now, she has to stay away from him, he has to clear his thoughts, to not let a little thing be a weakness to him.
His thoughts were interrupted by the nurse's voice; he cleared his throat, giving his angle back to her mother's arms, letting his feelings vanishing away with her.
"It's her fate, you cannot change that." She glared up at him, tears staining her cheeks, saying nothing. Klaus shook his head and turned his back to her, walking to the door. "Do not think of running away until that time", he called out behind him. "Or none of you will see her again, because you'll be dead."
Mystic Falls, 2009:
Caroline's arms outstretched, trying to remove the muscles pain sleep caused to her, she opened her eyes, she shivered as the cool winds had begun to nip at her neck and she looked over the window, walking towards to close it, she remember it was closed before she had fallen asleep, maybe Kol has opened it, she heard a chuckle from the bed, that was empty seconds ago.
"You've grown to reach the window!" She heard a sarcastic and cold voice saying from behind.
She felt her heart falling to her feet, her body was now freezing, she hadn't heard that cold tone in almost three years, but she would recognize it, she knew it better than her own. She felt her chest tightened, she knew that she's imagining him, she wouldn't allow for this illusion to trick her again, she was too smart to be fooled again, she turned her back, waiting for the prove that this is an illusion and wouldn't see the man whose the voice belongs, only to be tricked by his face and voice again.
"Hello Caroline."
"Klaus .. !" she gasped, from fear of hoping and losing again, she was no longer capable of holding another hurt, she wouldn't allow him to reach for her, he had left her, and he would leave her again, she would prove to him that she has moved on, she had forget him, and his stupid promises.
"Where are Rebekah and Kol?" She asked, the fear of being hurt by him, blinding her desire to see him again, to enjoy his return, to laugh and dance that he had come back to her.
"They're in a very deep sleep, I believe they'll be angry when they wake up, but that after we speak, and we have a lot to speak about." He said, his anger by her question wasn't long as his thoughts of being near her consuming him.
"I don't wish to speak to you." She replied angrily. "Not now, any way!" She said again after few minutes, afraid of his reaction, afraid he would leave her again.
"Well, I see, you're no longer the nice little girl anymore!" he said, approaching her standing position, taking her hand, raising it to his lips, kissing it, taking her smell in, he had missed her very much.
"I said I don't wish to speak to you!" She said, looking at his eyes, devouring her, she withdrew her hand quickly from between his, to leave.
"But you don't have a choice in the matter, sweetheart." He told her, grapping her hand, causing her to turn, only to be met by another force as he pulled her toward the bed, sending her flying to the middle of it.
"Start talking, Caroline .."
