Kara peered around the room, weaving between people and swinging her head back and forth. She lifted onto her tip toes, careful not to begin flying.

She moved forward, and hit something.

"Oof!"

Someone.

"Oh no!" Kara exclaimed. She took a step back and pretended to stumble. She stared down at the young man and offered her hand. "I'm so sorry, I didn't see you!"

He waved her hand off. "No, it's my fault, I wasn't watching." He stood and shook her hand. "Hi, I'm Jimmy, ah, Jimmy Olsen."

"Kara," she said pleasantly. "Kara Kent."

"Kent?" he repeated. "Are you related to a…"

"Clark Kent?" she supplied.

"Yeah."

"As a matter of fact, I'm his cousin," Kara explained. "Do you know where he is? I'm looking for him."

"Oh, ah," he snapped his fingers. "Yeah, uh, CK's a few floors up, you want me to take you to him?"

"If you would, that'd be perfect," Kara said, smiling.

As the elevator door opened, Jimmy gestured. "Welcome to the newsroom."

Kara's eyes swept the room as she scooted out of the way of somebody. "Wow. Is it always this busy?"

"Usually only when we have a Superman story," he explained. "You know how it is."

"I certainly do," she said, smiling inwardly.

He pointed. "There's Clark. C'mon."

She trailed after him.

"So, does he know you're here?" Jimmy asked.

"No. I'm…..kinda long lost," Kara said sheepishly. "He doesn't know I exist."

He turned. "Seriously?"

She nodded.

"Oh. This'll be fun." He approached the tall, broad form of Kara's cousin and tapped his shoulder. "Hey, CK."

The man turned. "Hey, Jimmy, I'm kind of busy." He nodded at the woman opposite him.

"Sorry, but this is urgent." Jimmy pointed at Kara, who waved. "Clark, this is Kara."

"Uh, hi."

"Kara Kent," Jimmy added.

Clark did a double take.

The woman leaned across the cluttered desk. "A relation of yours?"

"Not that I know of," Clark said.

Kara cocked her head shyly. "I'm….your cousin. Your parents sent me to see you," she said quietly, hopefully.

Clark opened his mouth, shut it again, and shook his head. "Can you hang on for a minute? I need to finish talking to Lois."

"No problem," Kara said, stepping back nervously. She bit her lip and bounced on her toes.

"Olsen! Get on up here!" somebody shouted.

Jimmy turned to Kara. "Good luck," he said, and then jogged off.

Clark concluded his conversation and turned to Kara. "Let's talk."

"Okay," she said.

"In private." He took her arm and started off.
