Hey there. It has been a while, a long while and lots have been happening here. For one I'm seven and a half months pregnant with twins, yes twins and due at the end of March. Babies' room is almost finished, just waiting for the baby shower. My partner is so excited. As we both are. I am getting kicked as we speak.
I have recently been asked if I could include Kirishima in one of my posts so this is for you.
Now I remember when I started to learn how to drive. Was a nervous wreck. So I wondered what it would be like if Asami got roped into teaching Akihito how to drive. The mayhem that would no doubt occur.
Enjoy
Drive, baby drive.
'I'm bored.' Akihito sighed dramatically from the couch and looked out the massive floor to ceiling windows. 'Asami, can you teach me how to drive?'
'No.' Asami answered flatly, not bothering to look up from his office desk, his secretary, Kirishima waiting patiently for him to finish signing the document in front of him. The things Akihito came up with baffled him at times, even after their many months together. The very thought, the very notion of his lover behind the wheel of any vehicle, even one of those kiddy rides at the supermarket, made him wince. He heard rustling as Akihito moved away from the large windows to flop down on one of the couches in front of his desk.
'Why? I think it's time I learn. It would make my job a lot easier. Snapping politicians with their pants down literally while riding a bike just doesn't look cool.'
Asami heard the slight snicker coming from his left. He glanced up at his spectacle-wearing assistant, eyebrow raised. Kirishima realized his insubordinates and quickly coughed into his hand. Asami resumed reading whatever he was reading. He hated paperwork. The bore of the job. 'The answer is no. Find something else to do. I'm busy.' His business in the underworld was doing just fine considering his brother's medaling. No it was his 'front' business that was hitting him hard. And it was cutting into his sex life. No sex for the last week.
A huff, then another lengthy sigh. 'Alright. Be like that. I am sure Souh would teach me. We have a special kind of relationship.'
Asami's eyebrow twitched and his sharp eyes narrowed. Akihito must think him stupid. He knew what his lover was doing. Hell, Asami was master at every game he played with the fair-heard kitten. This was no different. Akihito wouldn't ask Souh. His bodyguard would never agree to it. Not if the other man planned to keep his job or his life. On the other hand, Souh did have a soft spot for the boy and Akihito would undoubtedly use that to his advantage No, he was right. It would never happen. A dark eyebrow twitched and the pen he was using almost snapped in his hand. He heard Akihito head to the door and was about to leave when Asami stood up, his chair flying back.
'Wait.'
Akihito stopped and turned, his head tilled in confusion. Asami started rearranging the papers on his desk. 'I'll teach you.'
'Really.' His lover perked up and smiled widely and if Asami would have let him, run over and hugged him. He threw his black coat on and turned to his rather disapproving secretary. 'Hold my calls and send any messages to the penthouse.'
'Certainly Sir. And if other business should arise?'
'Tell them I'm out.'
Asami followed Akihito out into the lobby, nodded to Souh to stay behind and took the elevator down. He glanced down at his lover and noted the happy; almost cat like smile on his face. Asami thought, something he wouldn't share with another living soul, that Akihito was quite cute when he was trying to sly. But unfortunately, Asami was better. He smiled and leaned down until his lips were millimeters from his kitten's pale ear. 'I know what game you're playing and just a word of warning,' he gave that ear a lick, 'I can do it better.' And stepped out of the elevator, leaving a blushing Akihito behind.
He didn't turn to see if Akihito had followed him, he heard the boy's footsteps behind him and knew his lover was pouting as if he had been caught with his hand in the cookie jar. The corner of the mob boss's mouth turned up. 'Stop pouting.'
'I'm not.' Akihito snapped, but Asami knew the boy wasn't angry, more embarrassed. Ah, Akihito when will you learn.
Employees scuttled away like ants to get out of his way and no one dared to approach him without Hiroshima to intercept their bothersome questions. Taking another elevator down to the lower floor, they both stepped out into the underground carpark. Asami nodded to the guard sitting in the booth, looking bored shitless.
'So what will I be driving?' Akihito asked eagerly, rubbing his hands together in anticipation.
Asami wondered that also. He glanced up and down at the rows of cars and realized he Souh had driven him to work today and there was no way he was allowing the bicycle riding youth to drive one of his expensive cars. He had plan. He reached into his jacket pocket and pulled out his phone. Dialing a number he waited for a moment before he heard a voice on the other end.
'I need to borrow a car. One you wouldn't mind if it got a dent or two.'
'Hey.' Akihito said and crossed his arms over his chest.
Asami ignored him 'Bring it down to the garage. Now.'
Within minutes a blue Toyota Camry and a black Toyota 86 GTS tore around the corner like a bat out of hell and stopped in front of them with a screech of their tires. An older dark haired man stepped out of the car and moved his sunnies to rest on top of his head. The other driver was hidden behind tinted windows. Hard grey eyes landed on Akihito for a moment and Asami took a step forward to block his lover from view, forcing the man's gaze on him. His smile was hard and unmoved as his callous hands, evidence of a man who had been in the business to long, handed over the keys to Asami. He nodded and without a word turned and got into the black 86. It sped away around the corner, its rumbles vibrating throughout the car lot.
'Let's get this over with.'
'Why couldn't I drive the black one? It looked awesome.'
'For your first time I don't think so. Get in.'
Asami got into the passenger seat and buckled up, thinking he might need a crash helmet as well, as Akihito climbed into the seat beside him. He buckled up as well and tried to get comfortable.
'You have two pedals.' Asami began, pointing to the pedals at Akihito's feet. 'Accelerator and break. You use your right foot to use these pedals. Accelerator on your right and break on your left. Got it?'
When Akihito nodded in understanding Asami continued, pointing to the levers between them 'This is your parking break and your automatic gear stick. Ok what do you do first?'
'Ah, I know this, put your foot on the break and put the gear stick into drive. Check mirrors.' Akihito glanced at each mirror intently.
Asami nodded his head. 'Excellent. Next.'
'Check blind spots for coming cars.'
'Let's go then.'
Akihito looked behind him and pulled away from the curb hitting the accelerator a little too hard and the car jerked forward. He shot Asami an apologetic look and slowly navigated his way out, with Asami's help and hit the top floor, into the sunlight. Traffic was chaos this time of day and they waited on the ramp. And waited.
'This is crazy. Everyone in Tokyo must be out. When should I go?'
'When you have an opening.'
'Ok.' Akihito sounded unsure but kept an eye out for a potential opening. Asami folded his arms over chest and watched as well. He saw and opening and was about to direct his student when he spotted a car indicating to maneuver into the very same opening. Akihito saw the opening also but not the other car.
'Can I go?'
'No.'
Unfortunately Akihito misheard hm. 'Go. Alright.' Akihito put his foot down and sharply jolted them forward, nearly missing the car coming towards them. The driver beeped them loudly and Asami was positive some very colourful language was thrown their way. Asami's eyebrows dropped to a scowl. Akihito laughed lightly and gave his angry lover an apologetic look.
'You said go.'
Asami's eyes narrowed and leaned forward. 'I said no.'
'Did you? Well at least we are moving now.'
'Yes. At least. Turn right hereā¦. Akihito, here!'
'Ahh' Akihito spun the wheel and they turned sharply to the right missing an oncoming car by inches, causing the car to swerve slightly and them to swish in their seats. Akihito corrected himself and breathed in deeply. Asami was a statue beside him, thinking he rather be surrounded by his enemies then be in a car teaching his lover how to drive. Having to deal with his brother wouldn't be as much torture as this.
'Ok, so, where are we going?' Akihito said chirpily, as if he hadn't just had a brush with death.
'Find the nearest shopping center and pull into it. I'll teach you to park and reverse.'
'Sweet. Ok, here we go, one shopping center coming up.'
Akihito turned into the half empty parking lot. There were still a lot of people around, returning to cars, walking to the shopping complex. Akihito slowed down when they came to a couple of empty car spaces. There were a couple of cars around them, one next to the car space Akihito had chosen but Asami thought his novice lover couldn't do any harm surely. The boy rolled to a stop, the rumble of the car purring beneath them.
'Ok. You are going to turn the wheel and slowly release your foot off the break. Easing into the car space. Think you can do that?'
'Piece of cake.' Akihito turned the wheel and as he removed his foot the car turned slowly. 'Slowly Akihito, now quickly straighten up the wheels. Straighten them before you hit-' there was a loud screech down Asami's side and Akihito finally straightened the car. '-the car.'
'Shit what should we do.' Akihito looked around to see if the driver was coming. They did however have a few onlookers, some edging over. Asami just took a deep breath, although he did feel a headache coming on and Akihito seemed to be the only one who could achieve that.
'Just reverse out slowly.' Asami said calmly, although he ready to get out of the car and walk home.
'How do I-'
'Put the gear stick into reverse and back the car out. Look both ways to make sure there are no cars coming.'
Akihito looked left and right and slowly backed out, but missed the red car coming towards them causing him and the driver to put on the breaks. The man beeped them and took off around them. Akihito watched the man drive off and whistled loudly.
'See that. Dude came out of nowhere. I looked both ways. I swear.'
'I think that's enough or today. Let's go home before you kill us both.' Asami said and rubbed his temples. Fuck if he was getting back into a car with Akihito. The boy was the worst driver he had ever seen. He should have just let Souh take the boy out. Akihito finished reversing the car out and drove out of the shopping complex. When the hotel was insight Asami instructed the boy to park in the underground parking. He found a spot reserved for the high rollers and parked.
'What about the car?' Akihito asked.
'Forget it. It will be collected at a later date.' Asami got out and looked at the side of the car. 'Remind me, If and when you get your license Takaba, when I need a quick getaway not to call you unless I want to die a premature death.' Asami said his face completely blank. Akihito laughed over the other side of the car.
'Admit it. You had fun.' Akihito smiled smugly over the top of the car.
That was something Asami would never admit. Fun wasn't something in his nature but driving with Akihito was certainly a thrill. He smiled slyly and closed the door stalking his lover around the car. He closed Akihito's door as well and put his hand on the roof of the car, trapping the boy against the car. Dark smoky eyes regarded his prey in front of him and leant down until they were nose to nose.
'you have exactly five minutes to get up to the penthouse before I come up and show you what my idea of fun really is.'
Akihito never moved so fast in all his life.
The end.
I hope you enjoyed this little nugget. Hopefully I can get a bit more out in the coming months. Chow for now.
