I hope you have a good day!

Laxus and Lucy, or, as the others started to call them, the Fairy Tail Team, were walking on the streets, asking around for someone who has the black mark. Strangely, everybody they would ask about would just flinch away, without really saying anything, making the duo short of answers. And their time before they had to report everything to Lyserg was running out, as they only had ten minutes left, they had to think of a better plan than what they were doing.

As they walked through the town filled with the people, they noticed something odd, "Hey, Lucy, have you noticed that everyone whom we talk to has looked at our back, and then ran away?"

"I actually did notice that, but I figured that if someone that could cause trouble was behind us, you would have noticed it with your dragons senses," she responded, knowing her partner could notice that kind of thing like he could smell a piece of cake, "Unless, they aren't looking at someone at all-"

"But some sort of sign that we can't see and that sign alone can intimidate them into not telling anyone. But don't have such a trust in my senses, there's a lot of people around, I can't precisely identify which might be the one causing it" Laxus finished her thoughts, adding the warning, but it made them both realise they were on the same page. "And, in order to stop it, we should go to someone from both sides, or maybe have one of your spirits to tell us what they're seeing. What do you think?"

"Though the most likely smart idea would be to summon one of my spirits, Lyserg asked us not to use magic unless it's strictly necessary. Meaning, we'll have to corner some random citizen," she cringed at the thought, picturing the two of them surrounding a defenseless person, as he tries to mumble the answer to their questions. She realised that wouldn't be exactly what they would do to them, but it might be how the scared citizen might see it.

"No, we won't corner anybody, that would just drive them off even more," he said, gaining a look from her partner, "the best way to do this is much simpler than that." Suddenly, he pushed Lucy to an alley, pressing himself against her, as he got close to her neck and breathed in her scent. Goosebumps started to grow on Lucy's skin, and she was lost in the moment, not knowing why was Laxus so suddenly acting like that, but not really caring either way, "I know this might seem weird, but I'm about to tell you my plan," he whispered in her ear, "if someone hears us, they will act in accordance, so randomly moan as if I'm saying some dirty talk, while I'll tell you what we'll be really doing."

Lucy moaned as she was told, while Laxus moved his hips around hers, as his hands roamed her body, of course, avoiding touching her breasts or her hips. His head was setting by her neck, telling her his plan, while to outsiders it looked like he was kissing her. Lucy's moans gradually became louder, almost distracting Laxus from his initial goal, but he quickly came to his senses, and said something for Lucy to say outloud, "Laxus, not here, I'll be all yours once we go back to the Hotel, but here is such a dirty place."

"Great acting, Lucy," he thought as he himself said, "Ohh, c'mon, baby, you can't just tease me like that. Maybe we can go to the Hotel, right now, what do you say about that?"

Lucy quickly thought of an answer from the books she read that would go well to the situation, "Maybe after we have lunch, but not in an empty stomach," she said, thinking there would be no way for anyone who listens to know they already had lunch.

"Hugh, fine, but you go on ahead, I'll wait here for it to die down," Laxus smirked, still part of the act. What wasn't part of the act was Lucy's incredibly red blush that grew on her cheeks after he said that. It was then that he realised that he might have taken it a bit too far, but it was necessary for the plan that he would stay behind, and he couldn't think of anything better. He watched as she, uncomfortably, left the alley, "Goddamnit, she's thinking about what she thinks she felt was my dick, isn't she? Bet it was my leg or something like that and she confused it. Oh well, the plan is now in motion."

"OH GOD! He was... that was... I felt 'him'?! Was it that thing? No, I think that was his leg, but- CRAP! What kind of plan was that? Couldn't he have told me in public?!" Lucy thought, but then calmed down with a sigh, "No matter, what's done is done. Now, I have to go ask around again." She went to talk to the first person she found, who happened to be an middle aged man, "Hello, I was wondering, I heard of a curse that has been going around in this town, is it true? I mean, is there even someone who actually has such a curse?"

As expected, the man flinched and bumbled some incoherent words, though Lucy, by what others have been acting like, figured it was something along the lines of, 'Don't be stupid, of course not', which was obviously a lie, but it wasn't out of the ordinary, saying that with confidence would be. "Hey, Lucy!" Laxus said, as if greeting her even though they were together not that long ago.

"Hey, Laxus, I told you it was a lie, I win, let's go to the hotel now," she said, gleefully, treating Laxus like he was her boyfriend. They started walking towards the aforementioned place, and, when they were far enough from the man they had just 'interrogated', Lucy whispered in a way she knew only Laxus could hear it with his Dragon Senses, "Did you find anything?", to which Laxus only replied with a thumbs up, as he was with his arms folded, it was fairly easy for Lucy to see it.

"FT-1 and FT-2," Laxus said after knocking on Lyserg's door. The man in question opened the door, letting them in, making all the duos reunited in the room. "So then, have you started anything?"

"No, but let me just get this out of the way," Horohoro said, and then cleared his throat as if to say something important. "Nice moves, Laxus, real smooth," everyone in the room started laughing at the newly arrived duo, except Lyserg who only giggled a bit, and said team who just blushed, even Laxus, "Seriously, you didn't have any other idea except that one to tell Lucy your plan! Why didn't you just whispered to her?!"

"The enemy might have seen it," Laxus said, trying to defend his idea.

"So?" Horohoro responded, "Laxus, what you planned took ten seconds, at best, what do you think the enemy would do in that time? And he couldn't possibly have heard it if you whispered it, I think you just wanted to grope Lucy," he said in a mocking manner.

After some attempts at trying to show otherwise, Laxus gave up and just shut up so as not to keep the teasing continue. Seeing this, Lyserg put a stop to everything, and started his own work to find out who's behind this whole thing. "Well then, we'll start with you two, what did you find out, Fairy Tail Team? And is there any chance for the enemy to trace you here?"

"We don't think so," Laxus was the one to talk, "after giving that excuse, I waited in the alley, waiting for Lucy to finish talking. When she did, I peaked to the road as if I was trying to find her, and I saw a woman passing by. What was so amazing about that woman was the fact that she was very noticeable between the crowd of people. She had a very light tone of blonde hair, almost like the Strauss family from our guild. She was also wearing very light tones of blue and she had a mark on her shoulder."

"I see, Strange Team?"

"We found the same thing, basically," Medusa said, "everybody kept looking to our backs, over our shoulders. With my magic, we could only find a bunch of people walking in, no one really standing out, but we realised that between there were some people that we kept seeing, so we changed routes, and made unexpected turns, so we found the same pair of people following us. One of them was ginger, another blonde. The woman was of medium height and thin, while the man was taller than her, though not taller than Horohoro, and muscled. we couldn't get a mark, but I can assume they were working together."

"You can assume right, this would hardly be a coincidence, and if that's so, than there's a chance of there being a whole guild full of these cursed people. Laxus, how was the symbol like? That must be their Guild Mark."

"Hers was white, and it was like the tip of a trident, though a little more round, which made it also look like a flame."

"Hmm, I see."

"What about your trip to the mayor's office?" Lucy asked, "Did you found anything?"

"Well," Marie started, "the first thing we did was test the mayor's strategic thought. We saw in a match of chess that the man wasn't that good with strategies, he was easily beaten against Lyserg in not that many plays. But the lies he told were good ones. He kept saying that it was a rumour spread through the masses to attract visitors and outsiders. He said many other people before us, like people from the Magic Council and reporters for magazines, have gone there to ask the same thing. That's where we found something, he told great lies with little hestitation, while he himself was not that great at strategies, it raised the question: How would someone like that arrive to such an excuse? We thought it may be because of some organization that has been working with him to cover the lies. They have to be working together, since the alternative, which was blackmailing, would leave a hesitant and bumbling mayor, something we saw wasn't the case. And now we have a more consistent proof, good work, everybody."

"Yes, if we keep this up, we might more easily find the exact location of this 'Guild'," said Lyserg, "Now, I'd ask you to go again and ask around, but I'd say this would be enough for a day. Lucy and Laxus, since you two have the guild mark of the most famous guild, it is much more likely of you two to be attacked by someone, so the best thing would be for you two to train together. Lucy said she has found a new power, and right now she can train it. Medusa, watch them from afar. You can now leave."

They soon did as he asked, and everyone left the room, leaving the couple alone to their private time.

"It's not like you to send them out like this. You're hiding something, are you not?" Marie asked her husband, as she knew all of his facial expressions and could more or less predict when he was about to lie or when he was hiding something. He would keep a straight face whenever he lied. Granted, it was normal for him to be the serious kind of guy, but that's the thing. He would always put on a straight face, so when he was hiding something, that face wouldn't show his intentions. However, now that Marie knew of his secret, she could not not point out when he was lying.

"Observent as ever, Marie," Lyserg smirked in relief, thinking he would have to keep anything to himself alone was something he didn't like, but he did like using the rare chances he got whenever his wife wouldn't notice it. "Well, it was almost nothing, I'm sure it's unrelated to anything else, but did you hear what he said at the beggining of the chess match?"

"That he has played and won against many people. I'm assuming those people would let him win for being the mayor, but is that all? Or was it his tactics? Because his seemed to be nothing but a beginner's strategy. He used the pawns fir- Ooohh..."

"You see it too, sure it might be the fact that he's a beginner at chess, but what if he knew what he was doing? What if that's his way of thinking in battle? That the weaker ones go out to battle in the front lines, and only when necessary, the stronger pieces of the game come into play. Only if those pawns fail to protect him, he will release stronger weapons to fight the enemy."

"Which would mean that, aside from that organization, he still has a trump card. And let me guess, you think that trump card is what caused the curse in the first place. And you sent everybody out to train, so that, first of all, Lucy will be prepared to what you can assume is a pretty strong opponent; second, so that the attention brought to the two of them by Medusa will make anyone know the danger in entering their territory; and finally, so that unwanted attention wouldn't come to this hotel and put the lives of innoncents on the line. You were quite smart to get there so fast, even I'll admit it."

"Thank you, but we should do something else, instead of talking about this, maybe some couple-like activities," Lyserg smirked a bit, as he saw his wife open her eyes in surprise, knowing what would come next. She knew full well that when she read his plans like this made him feel uneasy of sorts, so now she would take that unease away.

"Those guys are impressive, don't you think so?" Lucy said, amazed by how fast they could arrive to the conclusions they did. She was sure from the beggining that, from the way Lyserg would act, he must be one of a kind, but she never actually saw it in action. Basically with a harmless game and the same kind of questions she herself did, he arrived much further into a certain conclusion than she herself did.

She saw Laxus nod, and realised that keeping this conversation might not be the best thing to do, as they might be heard by the enemies. Laxus suddenly remembered his plan on the alley, a blush creeping again, "I'm... sorry... for doing that to you in the alley..."

Now it was Lucy's turn to blush out of embarrassment, "There's no need for you to say sorry, don't worry," she said, as she smiled at him, and tried to hide the fact that she might have enjoyed it. And that she did, Laxus found the way she didn't mind his forwardness a bit odd, but realised it must have been from her smiling and kind nature.

They reached a forest, where their 'training gounds' were going to be, "Well then, how do you want to do this? A fight between us both? You ask one of your spirits to train you? Or I train you my way?"

"Hmm, since we should work together, it might be better to know more of your fighting style, so I think the best thing for us to do would be fight together," Lucy said, after careful thought that lasted a second or two.

"Well then, may the best mage win," Laxus said and stepped away from his partner, who was already on defensive, gripping the ring that held her keys. She knew it wasn't worth it to try and summon her celestial spirits, the best for her would be going right to the Oversoul technique. With that in mind, she got the Capricorn key ready, as she already had released his power like that, but she still knew nothing about the form it would take, so it was anyone's guess by now.

"OPEN THE GATE OF THE GOAT! CAPRICORN!" Lucy chanted, a bright light appearing and brightening the whole ground they were standing in. The result of that light turned out to be the spherical Capricorn her master was still yet to get used to.

"Hello, Lucy, it seems you need me, if you want the me in combat mode, then you'll just have to withdraw some of the magic you're giving me," the celestial spirirt said, but Lucy didn't need him like that. She grabbed the soul of the celestial spirit and joined it with her key, having no idea of what would come next. Like everything else about the technique, Lucy was not prepared to face what followed in the least. The key morphed, and extended to her whole body in the form of the black suit Capricorn had been wearing.

"What the hell is this?!" Lucy screamed in annoyance. Her key had disappeared and Lucy figured it was now morphed wiith the whole suit. Capricorn telepathically spoke to her, saying for her not to fret so much, as what she was wearing was more than enough to stand her own against someone like Laxus, while hiding the fact that it would be only for a certain moment, but since Lucy was already freaking out, adding that wouldn't help her at all.

Laxus, already tired of seeing the freak show, attacked with his lightning straight to her. Lucy barely had any time to react, but in that moment she saw something she could call weird. She saw the lightning coming, she could see it closing the distance between them, and if she could see it, she could avoid it. She rolled to her left, completely avoiding the lightning without so much as a scatch. Both of the mages were confused, though Laxus was more intrigued than anything else, and Lucy tried to contact her spirit again, who telepathically told her that the suit she was wearing raised her physical prowess, meaning she was faster, stronger, more agile and had better senses, making it easier for her to find in hand-to-hand combat.

"Hmm, interesting, well then, let's do this for a change. We'll fight until one of us goes to the ground. The trick is none of us can use magic against our opponent, but we can use magic on ourselves. What do you say, Lucy?" Laxus proposed.

Lucy thought about it carefully, seeing as she was the one with most advantage. She had a weapon after all, while Laxus would be completely defenseless, only being able to do use his skills at hand-to-hand combat, so why would Laxus make such a bargain. She knew he was proud, so was he putting aside that pride to give her a moment of win? Or does he have something up his sleeve he intends to use against her, "Fine then, but just until one falls to the ground, right? One fall and the battle's over, right?" Laxus nodded, and that was all Lucy needed to see.

She went right ahead, amazed at the speed she was reaching, and went for a punch at Laxus' stomach. But, Laxus still defended it, going with his own punch, looking like they just did a 'fist-bump'. Lucy was sort of expecting that move, so she went for her whip, knowing it would definitely hit him with that. However, she couldn't reach it, or rather not fast enough, as she felt a discharge of lightning on her fist that made her flinch away from the man in front of her.

"What the hell, Laxus?! You said you wouldn't use magic!" Lucy screamed out of annoyance, and Laxus just chuckled at her.

"I said nothing like that, you should have listened better. I said I wouldn't use magic on you, but if I use it on myself and you just happen to touch it, it's not my fault," Laxus said, smugly. Lucy realised she couldn't fight that logic, and realised that there weren't that many Lightning Dragon Slayer Techniques that actually let out magic, instead of focusing it on the user's body. He normally used the Lightning Dragon Magic for close quarters and simple Lightning Magic for lond distances.

She groaned but decided to take on the challenge. She went forwards again, using the same strategy as before, going for a punch first. This time though, Laxus just dodged it by stepping away a bit, but Lucy immediately went for the whip. Something Laxus already expected. After Lucy finally lashed it out, Laxus ducked, avoiding contact with the blue weapon, and then, from his crouched position, he jumped to her, pushing her to the ground. Laxus won the match.

"Goddamn it!" Lucy said, irritated by losing with such lack of grace, "This wasn't even a tough fight for you!"

"You know, I don't mind having you under me," Laxus said, making Lucy blush and stop ranting about whatever she was mad for, "I think we should have a rematch, maybe this time I'll be under you," he smirked, knowing the exact things that would make Lucy a bumbling idiot, and he was enjoying himself in doing it, it was funny to see her trying to find any words that would help her, "Calm down Lucy, I'm kidding. Except we really will have a rematch, so you can use the most of that technique."

"Bet you 2000 jewels in how those two will hook up before the end of the mission," Horohoro said on the top of a random tree in the forest their partners were training in.

"No way, that's so obvious it hurts," Medusa responded, thus creating a frown on Horohoro's feautures.

"How about those two will kiss by the end of the day?"

"Hmmm, okay, I can agree with that."

Another chapter done, and boy did I enjoy myself writing this one! I don't care if it's not going the way you hoped, I'm loving writing this story!

Anyways, tell me what you think about the story until now!
