MAX POV

"Did you see they have a pool?! I wanna go swimming!" Gazzy shouted excitedly as everyone finished breakfast.

"Oooh, yeah! Max, can we pleeeaaassseeeee?" Nudge exclaimed. I rolled my eyes.

"Maybe. Let's see how crowded it is first. We need to try to lie low, which means we don't need a bunch of tourists seeing our wings." I responded.

"There's no one down there. I would be able to hear them. Can we please go Max?" Angel added.

I sighed and looked at Fang, who simply shrugged. My call. I narrowed my eyes at him as the younger three started begging. He smirked back.

"Fine," I said. The cheers that came after that didn't make me feel better.

We managed to get down to the pool and the kids in the water for a good hour without incident. And then Angel got out of the pool and sat in the chair next to me, where I had been supervising.

"Max, you should tell Fang about the dreams." Whaaaat? Where did that come from?

"What do you mean, sweetie?"

"You know, the dreams about you guys when you're older. He's worried about you and I think you should just tell him about them. And, you know, you should tell him you love him. He'd probably like to hear it from you."

And with that she got up and jumped back in the pool, leaving me more confused than before.

Fang had been perched at a nearby table with his laptop and a lemonade up until the time when I jerked out of my relaxed position because Angel had dropped that lovely piece of advice on me. At which point he immediately stood up and came and sat where she had just been.

"Did she hear something? What did she say?" He looked so concerned that I laughed. What was I supposed to do? Tell him the truth?

'Oh, Angel was just commenting on how I should tell you that I'm in love with you and that I had a dream where we got married and had beautiful babies.' Yeah, that'd go over great.

Of course, now he was looking at me like I was completely bananas. I calmed myself down out of my laughing fit.

"Oh, nothing. She's just giving crazy advice," I finally managed to say. He nodded and relaxed into the chair a bit.

"I can watch them if you just want to relax, you know," He said. I gave him a grateful smile. I still couldn't fully relax while watching Angel disappear underwater for long periods of time.

At some point, I actually dozed off in my comfy little poolside recliner. And then the dream started again…
