Chapter 8: Stay With Me…

"The New Olivia Pope.."

"Fitz," she murmured as his lips brushed lightly against hers. In a vain attempt to halt his kisses she moaned just before his lips came into full contact. Fitz began to place open mouthed kisses, derailing any conversation they were about to have that very moment. Olivia wrapped her arms around his neck and ran her fingers through his curls.

Her mind was complete mush from his lips pressed gently against her own. It was unbelievable how each movement of Fitz's mouth, was causing that same fire to return to her stomach. She pulled him in closer, and felt his arms snake around her back, just resting above her tailbone. His chest felt warm, and masculine pressed against her own through her dress.

As he continued to kiss her, it became sweet, soft, eliciting sweet sensations from her body she didn't think she'd ever feel. He has kissed her countless times before now but THIS was different. He was conveying his love, engulfing her mind body soul. Fitz couldn't pull away or stop if he wanted too.

This was gentle, all lips no tongue in her mouth. He was not pushing her to get inside her warmth. He was conveying, in the only way he could think, seeing her walking in the West Wing did to him; no for him. It was everything; better than he dreamt. The dress, hair, makeup; God she was flawless. Perfect in every way. She was HIS.

Fitz finally pulled away, leaving Olivia wrapped in his embrace with her eyes closed still reeling. Her face was displaying nothing but pure joy. Her smile was wide smile and carefree, showing her dimples on her cheeks. Unable to resist, Fitz leaned forward and kissed each one of them, sighing of happiness as his lips touched her face.

Fitz felt her body relax in his arms, knowing she was melting. He felt her face pressed lightly against his, causing an audible sigh to escape both of their mouths at the same time. When Fitz pulled away, Olivia caught his face and held it just inches away from her own. She opened her eyes finally and met his gaze.

She nuzzled her nose to Fitz's, causing him to chuckle. "Livy," he finally spoke to her. He was still so lost in his mind of seeing her walk the corridors of the White House. He had imagined that moment for since returning back from Vermont. Seeing it come to reality only made him come to the realization how much he needed her with him. No BELONGED there with him.

His mind couldn't get the imagines out of how beautiful she looked, heck looks right now in his arms. Her makeup, hair, the gorgeous white dress accentuating her every curve on her perfect body. She did not look the school teacher he first met in Vermont. TODAY she became the future First Lady of the United States.

He desperately wanted to be the one to show her around, introduce her as HIS girl, proving to all that he was a man in love with an incredible woman. She had transformed from when she first arrived. In the residence that first time she was scared of everything, and now she proved not only to Fitz but to the world that she was ready for whatever gets thrown their way. He had given up on that dream long ago, but this past year her students gave him the greatest gift, HER.

He wanted her to stay, not go home, but she had too. Fitz pressed his forehead against her, letting his nose touch just the bridge of hers. He let out a long breath and kept staring into her eyes. She began to take breaths with him, to sooth his emotions. She knew he did not want her to leave, but staying was not an option. Her students needed her and she couldn't let them down even if her heart is else ware.

"I. Love. You," he voiced with such conviction, now holding her face. She let out a long deep breath, she didn't know she had been holding inside her body. She leaned her head to the side, feeling her tears starting to emerge. Fitz was holding her face so gently; displaying with the softest touch, she IS his priceless, irreplaceable treasure.

He had always treated this way, but he was showing it even more so. She gave him a tearful smile. "I know," she whispered. "Fitz?"

"Do you HOW MUCH I LOVE YOU," his voice strained, filling her heart.

"I know Fitz," she whimpered. He pressed his cheek against her face. Once he removed it, he wrapped his arms around her body, pulling her into his chest. She rested her head over his heart, and he lazily placed his head down on hers, smelling her hair. She felt him kiss the top of her hair, muttering how perfect she is and to never change. "I love you too."

She inhaled deeply, and began running her hands up and down his back. He did not want to let her leave – for anything. "Why?"

"Why what," she asked with her head still on his chest, listening to his heart beat.

"Why didn't you want me to know you were going to be walking around the West Wing," he asked. His voice was calm, but a part of him concerned.

"I wanted to show the press who I was," she answered honestly. "I am not afraid Fitz." He pulled back and looked into her eyes. His eyes narrowed and she knew he didn't believe her. "Okay I was scared out of my mind, but I didn't do it for me Fitz."

He pulled back but kept his hands securely on her tailbone. "Did Cyrus put you up to it," he was getting upset. "I swear to God, I am going," he started to pull away and she wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him. He kissed her back and when they broke apart he was breathless.

"No Fitz. I asked Cyrus to do help me to do this. I did it for you," she smiled.

"Me," he questioned. "Why sweetheart?"

"Because I wanted to make you proud of me," she admitted. "I know the Press is going to be looking into me no matter what you say in your interview tomorrow night. And when they do, I don't want them to see the scared, school teacher from Vermont."

"Livy," he muttered. "You know….,"

"Hush let me finish," she pleaded and Fitz gave in. "I know this is not my world. It's yours. And I know I did a total freak out on you the night I got here and I'm sorry," she whimpered.

"You have NOTHING to be sorry for Livy," Fitz caressed her face. "I know why you were scared."

She cupped his face. "But that is not the point. I did this to not only prove to myself but to you that I can DO THIS. That I can be everything you need me to be, if you let me. I may have showed up here as the scared school teacher from Vermont, who is dating the President. But that is not who I am anymore," she tried to explain.

"Then what are you then," Fitz pouted. "That is the person I feel in love with Livy. I don't want her to change."

"She is NOT going to change Fitz. I am still the school teacher from Kings-road, Vermont you fell in love with. But she's changed."

"Yes?"

"I am Olivia Carolyn Pope, the FIRST girlfriend of President Fitzgerald Thomas Grant III," she kisses him. He walks her over to the window, sits her down and stands in between her legs. She opens her mouth and enticing his tongue inside with little touches. He moans in her mouth, and his hands begin to slide up her dress.

"God I love you," he moans. "So much."

"I love you too," she stops his hands. He raises his eyes and takes them out from under her dress. "So you're not mad at me?"

He huffs. He pulls away and sits on Cy's desk. "I was at the time but I'm not anymore. Next time though, I SHOW you around. Do you understand?" He walks back over to her, and pulls her into his chest.

"Yes Sir," she winked.

"I like that," he moves his hands on her body. "Say it again." He finds the zipper on the back of her dress and begins to pull it down. Her eyes become wide, and she bits her lip. His touch causes a fire in her stomach, one she discovered yesterday, he can only start or stop. She now craves his touch, which is something she will not admit to Fitz any time soon.

/

"Won't Let This Go…"

"Fitz," she whimpers, as his cold hands makes contact with her HOT skin. Her face is fine, but inside her dress is a whole another story.

"Olivia, you're hot," he moves his hand further on her back, letting the zipper slide down further. His large hand is rubbing further into her dress, down her lower back, feeling the temperature difference. He moves his other hand inside, as an assurance that his gut has been right.

"Why thank you kind Sir," she playfully tells Fitz. "I think your HOT stuff too."

"Olivia," his voice is deep, and strong. She knows she's in trouble.

She takes his hands out of her dress and zips it back up. "Fitz let it go," and she walks away from him. "It's nothing I'm fine. This office is warm and you getting me all hot and bothered doesn't help."

"Olivia YOU ARE NOT FINE," he raises his voice. Its richness and the intonation sends shivers down her spine, making her jump. "I may not be a doctor but I know when someone has a fever."

"Fitz I do not…," she attempts to explain.

"You do to. I know you remember. I have touched your amazingly, soft, beautiful skin," making her blush, "countless times. And I know when something is not right. You are sick, so stop trying to hide this from me."

"Nothing is wrong Fitz. I am probably just ovulating," she throws out next. Fitz crosses his arms, showing his disapproval, then squints. "What it happens Fitz?" She tries to explain, but he stops her.

"I don't need a lesson Livy in the female reproductive system. I do have kids and know when a woman is fertile," he shoots back. "But THIS," walking to her. She backs up. If he touches her, she'll cave. She attempts to walk past him to the other side of the room, but Fitz is too quick and grabs onto her hand. He pulls her into his body.

"Fitz," she feels his hand on her forehead. "Nothing is wrong. Why can't you let this go?"

"Because I love you Livy. If you are not well, then I need to be made aware," he softly explained.

"You are just trying to keep me here Fitz. I have to get on that plane Sweetheart," in an attempt to reason with him. But she knows Fitz and he would not drop it until he was sure, nothing is wrong.

"Despite the fact that I do not want you to leave," he smiled, "that is not why I am saying this Livy. Please let a doctor look at you. If she informs me that you are fine, then I'll drop it. But, if she thinks this 'hotness' is the start of something serious, you are not going home. I'll write you an excuse note to Mrs. Rhimes so you won't get into trouble," he voice turned playful.

"Fitz," she was caving. His face was close to hers, feeling his breath on her skin. When he became close to her, her mind turned to mush.

"Please. I love you," letting his hands travel down her arms, and rest on her back. "I have to be sure you are alright. Do this for me?"

"Fi," she barely got out before he kissed her gently. He pulled back quickly, leaving Olivia biting her lip. He raised his eyes. "Fine."

"That's my girl," he wrapped his arms around her body. "Thank you." She let out a breath, and snuggled herself in his arms. She grumbled something against his chest, causing Fitz to smile outwardly and to himself. He lifted her chin, and gazed lovingly into her eyes. "Now let's go upstairs so I can check you out."

"Fitzgerald," she sternly said his name.

"Yes," he innocently replied.

"You'll take any opportunity to check me out won't you," she teased him. Her voice was playful, and she began to run her fingers through his curls.

"Damn straight. You are mine, and the thought of any other man checking you out in unacceptable. I will not allow it," he dropped his voice, adding the most commanding intonation she had heard from him yet. "But luckily for you my physician is a woman so I have nothing to worry about."

"Fitz," she heckled. "You are terrible."

He kissed her sweetly then. He then placed her down on the floor. He walked away from her, and stretched out his hand to lead her out of Cy's office.

"Fitz we can't walk out of here together. You know that," she reminded him. Olivia watched his shoulders slump down and no matter how much he wanted to be the one to escort her, Fitz knew it could not happen yet.

"I know," raising his eyes. "Trust me okay." Olivia walked up to him and he encased his hand around hers. He brought it to his lips for a sweet kiss and knocked on the door. The Marine entered who wanted to escort her to this office early, stepped inside. Olivia dropped his hand quickly.

"Mr. President," the Marine Sentry addressed Fitz and saluted.

"Sergeant Van Houtte," Fitz answered. Olivia noticed his voice and knew he was now the Commander and Chief, not her boyfriend.

"Yes Sir," the Marine Sergeant answered.

"I want you to meet someone," Fitz said, reaching for Olivia and pulling her to his side. The Marine kept a straight face and smiled kindly at Olivia. "This is Olivia Pope."

He nodded. "Nice to meet you Ma'am," then looking back to Fitz.

"Sergeant," Fitz walked closer. She knew what was coming. "Next time you see Miss Pope, I wanted you remember one thing." Olivia squeezed his hand but knew he was doing this for a reason. The Marine nodded. "Miss Pope is MY girlfriend."

Sergeant Van Houtte's eyes went wide at Fitz's admission. He swallowed quickly and hoped the President of the United States was not going to fire him for trying to escort her to this office. He was doing his job, even though Olivia's beauty got to him. "Yes Sir. Congratulations."

"Thank you," feeling Olivia squeeze his hand.

"Next time you see her in the West Wing," Fitz explained. "I want you to make sure she is safe. You understand me. If myself, Cyrus or anyone she knows is not around, protect her. You will also TELL no one that I am unavailable to date. Are we clear?"

"Yes Mr. President. Crystal."

"Oh my God," Olivia blushed profusely next to Fitz. She mouthed to the Marine she was so sorry and he smirked at Olivia.

"Now can you escort her up to the residence with her father? I need to have a chat with my Chief of Staff," Fitz asked Sergeant Van Houtte.

"I would be my honor Sir," he replied. He looked at Olivia who was so embarrassed. "Are you ready Ma'am?"

She nodded to him and turned to Fitz. "I am so going to whop your butt."

"Can't wait," he grinned mischievously. "See you up there Sweetheart," he leaned in and kissed her lips. Olivia blushed even more when he pulled away.

"I hate you," she grabbed Fitz's shirt, making him chuckle.

"Whatever I hate you too. Now go I'll see you up there. Your father is waiting for you next to Mary's desk." He leaned in for another quick kiss but Olivia turned her face so he could only get her cheek. Fitz laughed out loud and let her go out the door with the Sentry.

Cyrus then entered his office a few minutes. They hashed out his agenda for the rest of the day, and how Olivia's walk was perceived in the West Wing. The reporters were buzzing. It was certainly going to help his interview with Kimberly Mitchell tomorrow. He thanked Cyrus and headed to meet Olivia up in the Residence so his doctor could examine her.

/

Check Up…

When Olivia made it upstairs, she thanked the Marine and he said he was just doing his job. He stood outside the door, as her father and Olivia walked back inside. They talked a few minutes while she made sure everything was packed. She made a quick stop to the bath room, as Fitz came back.

He was talking to her father about their "Woman In White Walk," when Fitz noticed her. She shook her head, and finished packing. Fitz and Louis walked over to the Living Room and sat down. He explained that the doctor was on her way to examine Olivia.

"She agreed," Fitz gleefully answered him.

"Wow," Louis answered surprised. "How'd you get my daughter to agree?" Fitz raised his eyes and blushed. "You know what I don't want to know Son. But you best remember Fitzgerald, no ding…,"

"Without the ring…Both," Fitz added. Louis chucked but was happy she was getting examined. Olivia came in a few minutes later and sat on the opposite couch away from Fitz. He raised his eyes. "Am I in trouble?"

"You tell me Mister," she crossed her arms.

"Livy," he begged, and then pouted.

"Oh heck no," she then pointed at him. "Those pathetic eyes and sad face won't work. It's bad enough you made me agree to this exam but the Marine Fitz. Come on. You scared that boy half to death. You were strutting your stuff because you were jealous," she huffed and looked away from him.

"You in trouble now Fitzgerald," Louis chuckled. "You down right pissed my Pumpkin off."

"Dad," she scoffed. "Ugh," she threw her hands up. "I hate you both." She got up and walked into the other room away.

"Wow you did piss her off," Louis laughed at Fitz.

"Apparently so," Fitz admitted, but seeing her upset, only made her sexier. He was about to go to her but the White House Doctor arrived. He called for her to come back into the room but she yelled "NO."

"Sorry Doctor, let me go get the patient," Fitz answered but Louis instructed him to sit. He went and got her. He came back with Olivia in tow with a scowl look on her face. The doctor introduced herself and asked her to sit for an exam. Olivia sat in a chair away from Fitz, and she was asked questions about how she was feeling. The doctor made notes and check her accordingly.

She was very thorough and did not leave anything out. Once her exam was completed she gave Fitz her report. "Miss Pope has a slight temperature."

"How slight," Fitz asked.

"99.5. It's a low grade fever but nothing to be concerned with," the doctor explained to Fitz.

He looked at Olivia who would not meet his eyes. She crossed her arms and looked anywhere in the room but refused to look at him. Louis feeling the tension growing, asked the doctor, "Did you find anything else Ma'am?"

"Her throat is a little red but I think she is fine," the doctor explained further.

"So am I okay to travel then," Olivia asked. Her voice showed no emotion. She understood why Fitz wanted her to have this exam, and that was not bothering her. She was mad at him for the Marine Sentry. What he did was out of line. She understood he just wanted to show her off but he could have done it more tastefully.

"Yes Miss Pope you should be fine to good home today. Just if you feel any worse, make sure you go to the doctor. This low grade fever could be the sign of something serious." The doctor explained. Fitz thanked her and showed her the way out. Once the doctor was gone she looked over at her father and told him about what happened with the Marine. He shook his head but knew Fitz meant well.

"That man loves you Pumpkin," Louis told his daughter.

"You think I don't know that Dad," Olivia scoffed. "I love him too but he didn't have to scare that poor Marine half to death."

"Olivia, do you understand how hard it's been for Fitz having you here; not being able to show you off? He's been waiting all his life for you, and most importantly to have you here by his side. He's wanted to go on the rooftops and yell to all of DC how much he loves you. He wants to show everyone that you are his but most importantly that HE IS YOURS. He belongs to you Sweetheart. Let him brag, boast and fluff his feathers," Louis explained.

"Dad, Fitz is not a roaster. I am not some prize at the State Fair," Olivia grumbled.

He walked up to her and sat next to her on the couch. He took both her hands in his and squeezed them tightly. "No you are not but you are HIS prize in a way to show off. It took him beyond restraint not to go to you when he saw you downstairs. He's dreamt of that moment for weeks and wanted nothing more to tell everyone that you ARE his girl."

"Dad," she whispered. "But I am his girl."

"Yes but think. If he came by for a visit to your school, how hard would it be for you, not to tell everyone that he is not JUST the President to you? How difficult would it be not to go up and touch him, kiss him and walk him around; introducing him as your boyfriend?" Louis was reasoning with her. "Wouldn't that hurt immensely?"

"Yes," she murmured.

"Then cut the man some slack and stop being mad. He loves you and all he wanted to do was show you off to someone other than us. Did you see how his face lit up when you met the Vice President and her family last night? Gosh he gushed over you. But this Marine was captivated by you. I saw it in his eyes. Fitz was just making it known - I admit not in the best way, that you are his girlfriend. At least he didn't drag you out there and announced it to the entire Press yet," Louis chuckled.

/

Stay With Me…

"Don't give me any ideas," Fitz state coming into the room. Olivia turned and faced him. His eyes looked sad and lost. She looked over to her Dad and he excused himself.

"Hi," it was their thing. He saw the faintest smile appear on her lips.

"Hi," she bit her lip after the word left her lips.

"I'm sorry," Fitz admitted. "I should not have introduced that way to the Sergeant Van Houtte. I just didn't like HOW he was looking at you. He's younger than me, a marine, and…," she was then in front of him, cupping his face in her tiny hand.

"You thought I'd want him instead of you," she asked. He leaned into her touch, and sighed deeply. "Fitz I'm not the Marine type of girl," causing Fitz to smile. "Plus one you go POTUS anything else is kind of lame." This made Fitz laugh. He loved it when she teased him.

"I should have introduced you properly sweetheart. I know I sort of did but I was letting my jealousy get the best of me," he placed his hand behind her back, pulling her close. "I've never been a jealous man Livy. I don't like the thought of other man looking at you."

"Oh Fitz, men are going to look at me no matter if you are around or not. You just have to know that I ONLY have eyes for you. You have to trust that I LOVE YOU and I want no one else," she confirmed. "You don't have to trust anyone but me. Can you do that for me Mr. President?"

He nodded. "Yes."

"Say it Fitz."

"I trust you. But I swear if another man lays his hands on you, it's on," he growls. He then got down on his knees and looked up into her eyes. He wrapped himself around her body and placed his head on her stomach.

Not sure why he was doing so, "Fitz there's nothing in there." But he held her closer. "Fitz," she could feel him beginning to cry into her dress. "Look at me." But he held her tighter. "Fitz, look at me."

He finally lifted his eyes and she was studying his face to pinpoint what was wrong. "Don't go. Stay with me."

"Oh Fitz," she cried. Here was the most powerful man in the world – The President of the United States on his knees before her, wrapped around her body asking her to stay and not leave him. He is displaying his greatest weakness, letting her go.

"Stay with me Livy," he whimpered. "We love each other. We BELONG together. Stay?"

She took off her heals and slumped down on the floor. Fitz placed himself in her lap more, wrapping himself around her waist, holding her for dear life. His head was cradled in her arms, and he was now crying, coming to realization that she was leaving. His body was shaking and she could feel her dress getting wet from his tears.

Olivia began running her fingers through his hair. The more her fingers touched his scalp, the calmer Fitz became. "It's okay. It's going to be all right." She lifted his chin and he finally positioned his body so they could look each other in the eye. "Fitz you know I have to go."

"Why?"

"You belong here Livy - with me, by my side," tearing up again. "You're not even gone yet and I don't know how to do this without you. The last three days have been perfect. I'll do whatever needs to happen for you to stay." He was breaking her heart, but she had to get on that plane. He cupped her face and held it.

"Fitz," she murmured. "I can't. No matter how badly I want this to be different – it can't be right now. I have to go home to Vermont. You said this was for the best remember," she reasoned.

"Can't I change my mind," he countered. She pierced her lips together and narrowed her gaze. She let out a breath and kissed his lips. "It is really going to be okay."

"How do I know that once I do that interview tomorrow, no one will come for you? What if someone gets to you – takes you away, or worse hurts you," he knew he was rambling, but this was his fear. If she got hurt because he loved her, then he'd never forgive himself.

"NOTHING will happen to me. Like WE talked about, if you want to give me an agent to make sure I'll go along with it," reasoning with him. "I don't like the idea of being watched but if helps you sleep and not worry about me then I'll do it."

"I have someone in mind already Livy." He turned the tables on her and now cradled her in his embrace. "It's someone I trust."

"Fitzgerald," she chastised him. "What are you up to?"

"You'll see come with me," he released her and helped her up off the floor. She put her heals back on and they walked hand in hand into another room. As they held hands she saw her father sitting on the couch looking at someone but she couldn't see who it was.

"Dad who are you," and she stopped dead in her tracks. "Tom?"

"Hey you," Tom smiled. Olivia released Fitz's hand and ran up to him. She stopped dead her tracks in front of him, not really believing he was there. "Yes Lib's I'm here. Really?"

Fitz was walking up next to her Dad and he shook his hand. "You did good Son," making Fitz grin.

"You think so," Fitz asked.

"Yes look at her face," Louis said to Fitz. "She's floored."

Olivia was still standing in front of Tom. "It's really you."

"Yes Ma'am in the flesh," he opened his arms for a hug. Olivia jumped and knocked him over on the couch. You could hear the thud and both started laughing. Louis chuckled and Fitz raised his eyes. He was not expecting her to fling herself into his arms, and it made him jealous. Louis squeezed his shoulder and reminded him WHO is daughter loved. Fitz nodded but he still didn't like it.

Olivia sat next to Tom and messed up his perfectly jelled hair. "Hey," he scolded her.

"Yup it's you," she leaned into him for another hug.

"In the flesh," he told her back.

"Ah hem," Fitz said, fighting the urge to go over to her and steal her away. Tom looked up and saw Fitz's scowl and raised his eyes to Olivia. She looked at Fitz, and knew it was difficult for him to see her that way with another man, but Tom was her best friend.

"Go." Tom instructed her and she got up. She stood there a moment, looking at Fitz, falling in love with him even more. She plowed into Fitz's arms, knocking him clean off his feet, flat on his back on the couch behind him. In front of Tom and her father, she kissed Fitz all over his face. Fitz kept saying her name but she didn't stop.

She pulled away after he placed his hands on her face. "I love you so much," she voiced in the sweetest voice he ever heard. She looked over at her father and Tom, who were a little embarrassed at her public display of kisses but she didn't care. She up and helped Fitz. "You did this for me? You got Tom here?"

"I did," he confirmed. "You needed to see him."

Olivia then looked and saw something in his ear. "Tom? What's that?" And then she thought about it. "Wait?" Fitz nodded. Tom sat down and Olivia had this feeling. "Are you still a teacher?"

"Yes I am but I did some training for the Secret Service the last couple of days. I knew you would be here with the President and figured it would be a perfect time. Mrs. Rhimes agreed to it," Tom told her.

She squeezed Fitz's hand, he could see her panicking. To ease her fears, "Livy, he's not leaving you. He's finishing up his training to protect you. We talked about it when I was in Vermont. Both of us agreed that if I am going to trust anyone with the love of my life, I want it to be Tom."

She mumbled to Fitz, "Even though he makes you jealous." Tom and her father made out enough of what she said, and laughed. Fitz got down the floor in front of her. The way his eyes melted into hers, made her shift uncomfortably. "Are you sure?"

"Yes. He's your best friend and warned me that if I ever hurt you, it would take more than the Secret Service to protect me from him. I have every confidence in this decision. He's not an agent yet but is on his way to finish the training." Fitz assured her. He placed the sweetest kiss on her forehead and pulled back. "Okay?"

"Okay. Thank you Fitz," she pulled him in for a hug. She rested her head on his shoulders and Fitz. She looked up at Tom and could see Stephen coming into the room. They shook hands and she knew it was time.

/

Kiss Me…

"Excuse me Mr. President," now seeing Cyrus. "But it's time." Fitz pulled back and kissed her neck. She nodded and saw Mitch grab her things along with Tom. Fitz walked out of the room for a second and came back with not only her coat but his as well. Cyrus looked at him like he was crazy. "Sir."

"I'm going Cyrus," he looked at him while he put his suit coat on. Olivia knew talking him out of this would be a bad idea.

"Sir it is broad daylight. You can't just walk out of her with her like that," Cyrus interjected.

Fitz walked up to him, staring him down. "Cyrus I am walking her out and TAKING my girlfriend and her father to the airport. Everything has been arranged with the Secret Service. They are aware of my plans." Mitch agreed and looked to Tom who smiled.

"Where you going to tell me," Cyrus boomed.

"I just did. You may be my Chief of Staff, and I am the President. But right now I am just a man struggling saying goodbye to the love of his life. So I am going. It's settled," he said reaching for Olivia's hand. God he was hot this way. She loved his commanding presence when he took charge.

Cyrus walked up to Olivia and hugged her goodbye. "I'll see you soon kiddo. Don't forget Lyn Paolo is coming up there next weekend." She nodded. "I'll take care of the frog prince when you're gone."

Olivia laughed. "Good you better. Love you Cy."

He opened his arms and hugged her. "Me too."

They were then led out of the residence, to the back of the White House where the cars were waiting. There was Fitz's bullet proof SUV so no one would know it was him, and the follow cars. The cars were different models, but the same color, in order to blend in with the other vehicles on the road.

Stephen opened the door for her and Fitz to get into the middle car. She asked about her father and Tom. He explained he wanted his last few moments alone with her, not willing to share. He asked them to ride with the Secret service in the front car. The other agents would be behind them for protection.

"What if someone sees you," she asked him.

"No one will don't worry," he assured her. "Consider this handled," making her laugh.

They got inside and once everyone was secure they headed out of the White House's back gates. Fitz placed his arm out behind her, and scooted over. She felt him come closer and turned to face him. He placed his head next to hers and just looked in her eyes. "I can't believe you are mine Livy."

The sincerity and wonder of his voice struck her. She tilted her head and placed both her hands on his face. There was so much she wanted to say before leaving but didn't know where to start. She loved him so much it was killing her little by little the closer they became to the airport. He could see the struggle in her eyes and kissed her forehead.

She let out a labored breath as his lips touched her skin. He heard her whimper, and knew it could be long before she cried in his arms. God he wanted her to stay but knew sending her back was for the best. He just didn't expect it to hurt like this.

It was his turn now to reassure her. "We will never be over. You know that right." She nodded, under pressure to hold back her cries.

"I'm yours forever." But that made it worse. She bite her lips in an attempt not to cry. If she let go, Fitz would break along with her.

His next words were her undoing, "One day, in another life, we are married. I am still the President and you are my First Lady. We have four kids, and go home Rose Point any chance we have. This is going to happen Livy. Be ready because one day I. AM. GOING. TO. MARRY. YOU."

She closed her eyes and let his words sink in. "Kiss me." Fitz raised his eyes. It's not that he didn't want to but he wasn't sure if he'd be able to hold back how deeply he needed her in every way.

"Livy, we're almost at the airport," not wanting to get overheated.

"I don't care. Kiss me Fitz," she pleaded, running her hands up his shirt.

"I may not be able to stop," he was fighting himself.

"Then don't. I want you Fitz. I know we can't, but ALL I want right now is for you to kiss me like this is the last time you'll see me," she whimpered. Her lips were dangerously close to his.

"I don't know if I can let you go after that," he declared.

"Then hold me till the last possible moment Fitz. Hold me, Kiss me and promise you'll never let me go. EVER," she cried. She rubbed her nose against his. "Kiss me," she voiced just above a whisper.

Their eyes locked and he crashed his lips on hers. He was hungry, starved for her love. Both began to cry as he threw all of himself into this moment, leaning her back in the car. His tongue swept into her mouth and she moaned out loud, in a noise that shocked him. They fought for control, and he knew she surrendered when she let him control their movements.

Gosh he wanted her, desperately. Every part of his body ached to touch hers but he knew it would break a promise for it to happen like this. It's not how it was supposed to be. He let his mouth, tongue make love to her instead. His hands roamed her body, and found their way under her coat. She arched her body upwards for him to touch her.

She opened her eyes as he pulled back, both of them breathing heavily. "What," she asked, not sure why he stopped.

"I am making you my wife soon," he went back to kiss her again. She smiled against his lips and climbed into his lap, straddling him. He broke free of her lips and ran his mouth down her neck and kissed the top of her chest over her dress. She wanted release but held back, knowing she couldn't give Fitz wanted he also needed.

He pulled back and looked at her. Her lips were pouting, and her cheeks were flushed. Her chest was rising and falling rapidly against her dress. She felt this overwhelming pull to let him have her right then in the car. The love she felt for him was something so strong, she didn't know what to do about it.

Fitz held her hips still because he knew if she started moving against his pants, he'd make a mess. "God I want you," he groaned. "How are we…,"

"I don't know but we'll figure it out. Just think next time we see other, the make out sessions will be even hotter," she giggled.

He flipped her backwards and so he could place himself above her. "Can you handle that First Girlfriend," he nibbled down her neck.

"Most definitely," she replied as she sucked in his ear.

He pulled back and kissed her nose. He saw them pulling into where she was taking off. He motioned for her to look. "Fitz this in not the airport," seeing the sign for Andrews Air Force Base.

"I know but this is MY airport," he teased. She tried to ask him why but he stopped her. "You are your Dad are taking a chopper to Dulles. I know I can't go to the airport without causing a problem so I did this instead."

"Fitz you didn't have to," she couldn't believe he did this.

"I wanted to. There is nothing I can't give you Livy. And I am going to do my best making sure all your dreams come true."

"Fitz," she frowned. Fitz gave her his signature smirk and she melted. "You can't always do this."

"Yes I can," he kissed her as the car came to a stop.

"No you can't," she shook her head in displeasure. "I don't deserve all this."

He yanked her into his lap. The car parked on the tarmac and the Secret Service was waiting for Fitz's approval to open the doors. Olivia looked around and saw a helicopter waiting for her and Louis. He turned her face to look at him. "You deserve the world and I am going to make sure you have it."

"You can stop wooing me Fitz," in a pestering tone.

"Never," he kissed her deeply this time. When he pulled back he saw the agents surround the car and the air force personnel waiting. He let out a long breath and pressed his forehead to hers, not wanting her to go.

"Stay with me," he asked in the weakest voice. "Another day," he then added. "That way I know you are not getting any sicker. Then tomorrow I can leave the Oval early and we can spend the weekend together. Karen and Jerry will be joining us on Saturday."

"Fitz I have to go," her voice was laced with sadness. She caressed his cheeks. "You'll see me tomorrow."

"How am I going to sleep without you tonight," he hugged her. He breathed in her shampoo and everything about her scent. God she smelt incredible. "I need you in OUR bed."

"Then I'll make sure I talk to you till you are asleep." She looked up and saw the pilot emerge from the chopper. She looked back to him and began to leave to his lap.

"One minute," he pleaded.

"One minute."

For that final minute no one spoke. He pulled her into his chest and held onto her for dear life. Their arms wrapped tightly around the other and Fitz began to rock her body back and forth. Louis and Tom were out of the car and waiting for them to emerge. Stephen and Mitch knew this was going to break them both and allowed them to take all the time that was needed.

When they broke apart, Fitz cupped her face. "I love you so much."

"I love you too Fitz."

Fitz then knocked on the door so it could be opened. His side opened and he stepped out first and Olivia followed. Tom already had her luggage and Louis's at on the chopper. It was placed on board, and Louis said goodbye.

Fitz then shook hands with Tom. "Take care of her Agent Stanton."

Tom smiled. "Yes Mr. President." Tom then walked to the chopper and waited by the passenger door for Olivia and Louis.

"Thank you for everything Fitzgerald," Louis said to him. "I'm sure I'll be seeing you do great things."

"Thank you Sir. Give my best to Uncle Bernard and Nigel," Fitz grinned. "I'll make sure Rose Point is ready for Livy just in case."

"Thank you Mr. President," Louis addressed him formally. "See you soon." Louis surprisingly pulled Fitz into a hug. They tapped each other's backs and Louis released him. He looked to Olivia next. "See you in a minute."

"Okay," she watched her father walk to the helicopter and sit down inside. She turned to Fitz. "Kiss me."

"What," he asked shocked. "Livy everyone is around us."

"I don't care. I love you Fitz and I want you to kiss me. It's just you and me," she stepped closer and wrapped her arms around his neck. "I need you." She leaned in so close that her lips just lightly brushed against his. "Kiss me my love."

Fitz then pressed his lips to hers. Both their tears spilt out of their eyes as he kissed her with everything he had. The Air Force Personnel were stunned into silence. They knew what they were witnessing and knew nothing could be said of this moment.

As Fitz pulled back he held her face. "Come back to me."

"Always," he kissed him lightly.

"Stay off your roof," he joked.

"I'll think about it," she shot back. He raised his eyes. "Okay." He smiled and walked her over to the chopper. He buckled her in her seat and the pilot asked if he was ready. He kissed her again, and held her face close to his for one more minute. It was killing him letting her go. "Go."

"Livy," he could barely release her. She looked to Stephen.

"Sir you have to her go. She'll miss her flight," Stephen informed Fitz. Fitz nodded and kissed her one more time.

"I love you Olivia Pope," he held her face.

"I love you Mr. President," making Fitz laugh.

"Goodbye Livy," he finally let her go.

"Bye Fitz," he stepped back and Stephen shut her door. He stepped backwards to the car and when he was clear, with both Stephen and Mitch by his side, he watched the pilot get permission for them to take off. He saw the propellers begin to rotate and the wind around them. Olivia pressed her hand to the window and looked at Fitz, who looked grief stricken.

Louis squeezed her hand, and told her it was going to be okay. He felt the chopper lift of the ground and saw Fitz watching her go. "He needs me Daddy."

"I know. You'll see him tomorrow okay," Louis hoped to ease he fears. Olivia nodded and kept looking at Fitz as she got higher in the air. The pilot hovered another minute having been instructed by Fitz to do so before he flew her to Dulles.

"Ready Ma'am," the pilot asked.

"Yes," she squeaked.

He looked down to Fitz and he did the same. He mouthed that he loved her and she said it back. The pilot then flew them to Dulles airport to make her flight home to Vermont.

The Next Day..

"Cyrus," Fitz looked at Cyrus who was standing in his office finishing up their last bit of agenda for the day. Cyrus had been keeping Fitz focused all day so he could leave for the weekend he had planned with Liv and the kids. "Have you heard from Olivia?"

"No Sir," Cyrus answered. "Why?" Fitz explained that he didn't get the chance to talk to her last night because she was exhausted. She sent him a text that she was going to bed early, to rest. He had asked if she was feeling okay, and she only replied with one word answers.

"Mr. President she probably just needed a break. She went through a lot when she was here. She's fine I'm sure."

"What if something is wrong? I feel something is off with her," he pointed out. "We never-not talk before we go to sleep. It's OUR thing. I know she was not feeling well before left."

"Sir I am sure she is just busy getting back to her class, and in the swing of things. I don't think she'd deliberately keep things from you. Come one let's finished up so you can go on your weekend of love," Cyrus ran his fingers through his hair in frustration.

Fitz chucked but felt something was wrong. He done the interview with Kimberly Mitchell and he wanted to watch it with Olivia for the first time. It was due to air tonight in Primetime.

Cyrus got him up to the residence, he packed and explained to Karen and Jerry that he would see them in the morning. The kids promised they would be fine and would see him and Olivia tomorrow at the location.

On the way out the door he got a phone call from Louis. "Fitzgerald, Livy can't make it."

"Why not," Fitz asked as he made it to the chopper. "What's wrong?"

"She's just tired and needs to be alone," Louis did his best to explain to Fitz. "She says not to come up and she'll call you later. She can't see anyone right now."

"Like hell," Fitz bellowed. "Tell her I am coming for her. I won't take no for an answer. I'll be there in two and a half hours." Louis tried to stop him but saw Marine One take off from the South Lawn and knew he was coming. He went to Olivia's and found her Aunt Elizabeth "Mammy" and Uncle Bernard there with her.

They chatted a few minutes and found her the same way when she got home from school. She had been sent home early because her fever spiked. It started to climb quickly on the flight on the way home. Tom drove her home from work and stayed with her for the rest of the night. She had the chills and her throat hurt. Everything ached and she could barely move.

She refused to tell Fitz how sick she had become in the fear he'd rush to her side. He was the President and could not afford to get sick. Louis was going to explain to her that he was on the way still but she ran to bathroom to be sick. She had taken a shower to cool off but nothing worked; not even the medicine was bringing her fever down. She promised if she was not any better by morning, she would go to urgent care.

Olivia went to back to bed, and Mammy tended to her every need. She had the house on strict lock down refused to let anyone in. Adelyn called because she heard Olivia was ill but Elizabeth made her stay away because she had Olivia's care under control. Louis did not tell them that Fitz was going to be landing soon because he did not want to freak anyone out. Bernard knew of their relationship but her godmother did not.

Louis looked up as he heard Marine One landing. "Oh Shit," he groaned. Bernard looked at his brother and new only one person would be landing at Rose Point.

"We cannot let him in here Louie. Lizzie will freak. Plus he can't get sick," Bernard spoke to his brother. "The President of the United States cannot get sick."

"We can't stop him Bernard. Trust me getting in his way is not wise when it comes to my daughter." just then he heard him knock on the door.

Quincy began to bark hearing Fitz's voice. Her aunt came out of the room and yelled at them both. "Who is hear you two? I said no visitors. My godchild needs her rest. Tell whoever is at the door to come back when she's better. You both are lucky that I am allowing both of you here."

"Her boyfriend," Bernard decided to be honest.

"Well, tell that idiot to leave unless he wants to get sick. I don't care if President Fitzgerald Grant is at that door. No one is coming in here," Elizabeth boomed. "Go away." She yelled at the door.

Fitz raised his eyes. "Who in the hell?"

"Bernard, tell that man to go away," Elizabeth said as she walked into the kitchen. She was getting Olivia her medication.

Bernard walked to the door and opened it for Fitz. He stood there dumbfounded at what was going on. "Hello Bernard, Louis where is she?"

"She's in her room Fitz. She can't see anyone," Louis interjected. "You can't come in. House rules."

"Like hell," he walked pasted them and into the house. He passed the kitchen and Elizabeth stopped him.

"Louis, Bernie I said no visitors." She made it to Fitz, just as he passed kitchen opening. "You are not going back there Mr…," and when Fitz turned to face Elizabeth she dropped everything in her hands.

"President Grant," Elizabeth squeaked. "Oh my heavens, why are you here?"

"To see my girlfriend," he voiced without missing a beat.

"What? You are dating Livy," she asked stunned. "My godchild," she looked at Louis and Bernard who nodded in confirmation.

"Yes Ma'am," he said. "We've been together for six weeks. She is supposed to come away with me and my children this weekend."

Elizabeth looked at her husband and brother in law shocked. She looked to them and Fitz not believing what she was hearing. She walked up to both of them and wanted to hit the both of them for keeping this from her. She was about to comment when they heard,

"Mammy what is going on," then looking at Fitz standing in her house. The moment he saw her he knew she was sick. Her cheeks were flush and her eyes were droopy. She looked awful. "Fitz what are you…" She felt herself get weak and began to collapse.

"Livy no," and he caught her in his arms before she hit the hard floor.
