I let out a moan of pain as I slowly regained conscienceness. My head felt like it was going to blow up at any moment.
My eyes flickered open, quickly adjusting to the bright light.
I was in unfamiliar surroundings, but I quickly noticed it was a train, because I could feel it moving. My head was laying on something lumpy that was also comfortable at the same time.
Suddenly a face was over my own and I let out a yelp. My head banged against the other persons as I quickly tried to sit up.
"Ow," I muttered, holding my hand to my forehead.
I turned to my left with squinted eyes and saw my attacker, Ed.
I let out a groan of pain once I remembered that I also had a headache.
"Lay your head back down," Ed suggested, his hands pushing me back down into his lap.
A light blush creeped onto my face as the butterflies began swirling in my stomach.
I let out another whimper as a wave of pain flashed through my skull.
"What even happened?" I croaked out.
"Cornello threw you into the statue of Leto," Ed explained, "you were only conscious for a few minutes after that."
I shook my head. "No no no," I muttered, "after I passed out."
A look of understanding crossed over Ed's face. "Oh, okay," he said sheepishly, "The stone was a fake. After he shrunk back to normal, the stone fell off and broke."
I let out a groan.
"Damn," I muttered, "I got hurt for nothing."
Ed shook his head with a small smile on his face.
"We stopped that bastard from making an army out of the people of Liore," he pointed out.
I nodded my head in agreement. Even though our mission had failed, we still saved hundreds of peoples lives.
"How's your head?" Al asked, jumping into the conversation.
A grim looked crossed my face.
"It hurts like hell," I admitted, "but I think I'll be okay."
Al's helmet bobbed in response. "Good," he exclaimed, "because I was worried about you."
"Aw," I cooed, "Little Al was worrying about me!"
"I was too!" Ed yelled.
I rolled my eyes at him. If Al had his body, he would be blushing.
"Okay," I muttered, "Little Ed and Al were worrying about me!"
Ed's face turned red.
"I'm not little," He growled.
I put an innocent smile onto my face.
"Are you sure?" I asked in a sugary sweet voice, "Because I'm an inch taller than you."
Ed muttered something under his breath before turning his head away from.
I cracked a smile and began laughing.
"Oh man," I said after I finished laughing, "you make me crack up!"
Ed frowned. "Yeah yeah yeah," He grumbled.
"Where are we going anyway?" I asked, quickly changing the subject.
"Were on our way to Central," Al answered.
"Speak of the devil," Ed murmured.
I sat up and looked out the window.
Ed was right. I saw the prestigious town of Central looming before my eyes.
