For a moment, the world seemed at a standstill as they stared at one other, their eyes wide with surprise. Frasier didn't know who seemed more surprised; Charlotte or himself. But one thing was for certain. She was even more beautiful than he remembered.

"Frasier…"

"Hi." He said, feeling like he was sixteen years old and about to go on his first date.
"I-I thought you were in San Francisco." She said; her voice indicating that she was as nervous as he.

"Well... I was. I mean, I intended to…. I said goodbye to Niles, Daphne, David, Dad and Ronee, but when I got to the airport, I realized something. I realized that t life isn't worth living if you don't take chances. And this is the biggest chance of all. But I was hoping that maybe you could-."

Her arms were around him and her lips against his preventing him from explaining himself any further. But he found that he didn't need to. Her kisses told him all he needed to know.

She led him into the apartment where the kisses resumed, much in the same way they had before they parted ways in Seattle. This felt right; he was sure of it, and all the emotions that he had experienced in the past few weeks were wrapped up in this one pleasurable moment.

When he could no longer catch his breath, he brew back, albeit reluctantly and stared into her eyes. It was then that he wondered how he'd managed to be apart from her for even one minute.
"God, I've missed you." He whispered, resuming the kisses.

"I've missed you too." She breathed. "But how… why…"
He chuckled at her words. She seemed so confused, as he had been only a few hours ago. "It doesn't matter how I got here or what circumstances occurred. The point is that I love you and I was a fool to not realize that in the first place."
"But your job is in San Francisco. You can't afford to pass an opportunity like that up."
"There will be other jobs, but a chance like this only comes along once in a lifetime. I don't want to regret not having taken that chance."
She smiled and kissed him tenderly. "That's good advice. Where did you hear it?"

"From Niles, actually."
"You miss him, don't you?"
He sighed deeply, thinking of his family. "I do. There are so many things that I wish I had said. So many unspoken thoughts…"
"Why don't you call him?"
"No, I couldn't… I'll just call him later."
She smiled and picked up the phone and handed it to him. "Go ahead."
"Are you sure?"
"Of course. It's two hours earlier there anyway. I'll just get dressed. I look awful."
He smiled at her somewhat disheveled appearance. "You look beautiful."

Her cheeks flushed and she hugged him warmly, kissing his cheek. "Aren't you sweet? Now go and call Niles. I'll be back in a little while. Take all the time you need."
