Gibbs, Jenny, and Abby were sitting in the living room and they were talking. The rest of the gang were about three days away and they were coming to live there. They were sitting on the couch, Abby was squished in between them. They would not let her out of their line of sight, afraid that she'd somehow leave again if they were to take their eyes off of her.

"What have you been doing here for the past four months alone?" Jenny asked.

"I have a guitar," Abby said, "I have a deck of cards. I have a television, but there's only the weather channel. Um…I mostly just play guitar-and read. There's books. Lots of books. More than I can count."

"You lonely much?"

"Yeah, but not anymore. Got my family back."

"You sure do," Gibbs said. Abby looked up at him and smiled.

"I missed you both so much," Abby said looking down at her hands.

"We missed you too," Gibbs said, "I uh…I missed you a lot. Thought I lost my Abby."

"We would have died if that had happened," Jenny said.

"I'm just glad that…that I'm getting with my family again. So…what was she like?"

"Who?"

"My replacement."

"Abby, we keep telling you that there is no replacement."

"Come on!" Abby said laughing, "I know about her. It's okay. I even talked to her."

"You uh…did?" Gibbs and Jenny shared a look of 'I don't know.'

"Yeah. Vance brought her here for a day. She looks great considering."

"Considering what?" Gibbs asked.

"That she had been shot by you."

"Shot by me? Who is this person?" Abby's face went instantly pale.

"You…you really didn't have her did you?"

"No," Gibbs said.

"Oh no," Abby said covering her mouth, "I wasn't supposed to say-…I-I thought-…don't tell Vance I said anything!"

"We won't," Jenny said, "Abby calm down."

"He said if I said anything that he'd take me away permanently! Please don't tell him I said anything!" Gibbs wrapped her in his arms and held her tight.

"No one is gonna take you away from us Abby," Gibbs said dead seriously, "They'd have to pry you away from our cold dead hands."

"I love you guys," Abby said.

"We love you, too," Jenny said.

"Will Kate and Ziva be mad at me?"

"For what? Leaving? Probably not," Gibbs said.

"I don't like it when they're mad at me. I don't like it when any of my family is mad at me."

"We don't like being mad at you either."

"So," Jenny said, changing the subject, "What else is there to do up here?"

"Well you guys can hunt, bird watch, fish, hike, camp, stuff like that. There's not a lot to do," Abby said.

"I'm surprised that you haven't gone crazy from being alone this long," Jenny said.

"Me? Crazy? I should get down off this unicorn and slap you!"

Jenny laughed. "I've seen that before."

"Seen what before?" Gibbs asked.

"Nothing."

"So…I haven't seen either one of you in four months," Abby said, "What's changed?"

"Not a lot Abby," Jenny said, "We're all still here and we all missed you. Especially Tony, Kate, and Ziva."

"You think they'll be mad at me?" Abby asked looking suddenly so shy.

"I think…that they will just be happy to see their sister again," Gibbs said.

"I think they'll be mad."

"Abby-," Jenny started.

"I think that Kate and Ziva will be furious."

"They love you."

"But still. I wish I would have done things differently. I feel bad."

"Abby…we missed you…and we all have regrets about that night," Jenny said.

Abby nodded.

"So…we saw the lake…have you been swimming?" Jenny asked with a smile.

"No, I don't…I don't swim anymore."

"Why not?" Gibbs asked.

"Seems like all swimming ever did was cause me problems. As stupid as that sounds…I never wanna swim again."

"But you loved it," Jenny said.

"So? The pros weren't worth the cons."

"Abby-."

"Don't worry about it."

Gibbs sighed.

"It's getting late," Jenny said, "Perhaps we should turn in."

"Okay…I'll direct you to your rooms," Abby said, getting up. Abby walked them to the master bedroom. It was a nice sized room with a king sized bed.

"Abby," Jenny said, "Get in your pajamas and then get back in here." Abby nodded and went in her room. Jenny and Gibbs got changed into comfy clothes and five minutes later Abby came back in and sat on the bed with them. She sat against the head board in the center of the bed.

"I uh…I missed you guys…more-more than you know," Abby said, eyes downcast. Gibbs sat to the right of her and Jenny sat to the left.

"We're here now," Jenny said, "And we're all going to be together no matter what, okay? You know why? Because we're a family and families stick together. No matter whatever happens and no matter where we are or how far away we are…we will always be family. Nothing could ever change that."

"Promise?" Abby's quite voice asked. Gibbs put his arm around her and kissed her cheek, before totally encasing her in his arms.

"Promise," Gibbs said, holding her to his chest.

"I missed you," Abby sobbed out, "Oh, I missed you so much."

"I missed you, too Abs," Gibbs said, holding her tighter, "Missed you a lot." Jenny hugged Abby from behind and held her. Gibbs moved his arm so he had one arm around Jenny and the other around Abby. He held them both close. They all laid there, absolutely content. After a while, Gibbs realized that they had fallen asleep. He reached out, turning the lamp off, and then laid back slightly to get more comfortable, then followed them into sleep.

The next morning Gibbs and Jenny woke up in each other's arms. They smiled at each other, but then a thought struck them: Where was Abby? They quickly got up and went to search for her. Somewhat terrified that she may have disappeared again. Their fears were diminished when the aroma of breakfast swept through their noses. They walked to the kitchen to see Abby cooking.

"Oh!" Abby said smiling, "You're up! Go sit down at the table! I made breakfast!"

"Are we going to have to get our stomach's pumped after?" Gibbs joked.

"Oh don't listen to him," Jenny said, "We shall wait." They sat at the kitchen table and moments later Abby was out with two mugs of coffee; one black and one with cream. Then she ran back and grabbed two plates that were filled with eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, and pita bread with olive oil dressing. Then she brought out two salads and a glass of some green thick drink. Then she grabbed her stuff and sat down with them.

"Abby," Jenny asked in shock, "You did all this?"

"Yeah. I told you I get bored," Abby said. They began to dig in and the food was actually really good.

"Where did you get all of this?" Gibbs asked.

"Oh. Once a week I travel down to this guy who lives about 20 minutes by walking from here and he always has eggs, meat, the works."

"What's this?" Gibbs asked, examining the green drink in his hand.

"He also gives me a lot of fruits and vegies so I make shakes. It has kale, apple, banana, strawberries, lettuce, lemon, pineapple, and some other stuff in it. Keeps me strong!" Jenny and Gibbs both took a sip.

"It's good," Gibbs said.

"Yeah, it is," Jenny agreed.

"Glad you like it," Abby said, "It took me a while to make it taste okay because making things with kale and wanting it to taste good is not easy."

"How many trial and errors have you done?"

"20 or 30…something like that. It was worth it though."

"Wow," Jenny said.

"So…are you sure Kate and Ziva aren't mad at me…because I think they might be."

"I think that you shouldn't worry about it."

"They're going to be mad."

"I doubt it. Miss them?"

Abby gave a nod.

"Don't worry. If Ziva get violent you have mommy and daddy to protect you," Jenny chuckled.

"Not Ziva I'm worried about."

"Kate?" Gibbs laughed.

"Yep. Ziva would understand but Kate would gladly beat me up."

"We'll just have to wait and see."

The day the rest of the family arrived was bitter sweet. Abby was terrified, but excited. The moment that door open, Tony ran in full speed. Tony hugged Abby and lifted her up swinging her all around.

"Hey Abby," Tony smiled, "You little missy gave us all a heart attack."

"I'm sorry Tony," Abby said, "I'm so sorry." Tony put her down to look at her.

"Hey, don't worry about it kiddo. We're all together now. Plus it's Kate you gotta watch out for not me." Tony walked away quickly, letting Ducky get to her.

"Dear sweet Abigail," Ducky said hugging her, "Are you alright?"

"I'm fine Ducky. Absolutely fine," Abby said. Ducky got on his tippy toes and kissed her forehead. Mike walked up to her.

"Hiya doll," Mike said, wrapping her in a hug.

"Hiya Mike," Abby chuckled. Mike ruffled her hair before stepping aside. Tim and Jimmy attacked her with a double hug and they both were talking at the same time so Abby had no idea what they were saying. That's when Ziva and Kate walked in.

"Shalom Abby," Ziva said with a smile, hugging Abby.

"Shalom Ziva," Abby said hugging her.

"You should run," Ziva whispered in her ear. Ziva stepped back and Kate looked like she was ready to kill.

"Kate," Abby started in fear, "Katie?" Kate ran towards her and Abby ran out the door, Kate chasing her in the darkness.

"You liar! Get back here!" Kate yelled running after her. They got almost to the lake and that's when Kate tackled her to the ground and started yelling. Ziva ran up to them and tried to pull them apart but she was pulled down with them.

"You left! You idiot! Why did you leave?!" Kate screamed, "You had family who loved you! You moron! How stupid are you? Did you have any idea how scared we were?! HOW SCARED I WAS?! DO YOU EVEN CARE?! I WAS TERRIFIED THAT SOMETHING BAD HAPPENED TO MY BABY SISTER! DO YOU REALIZE THAT?!" Kate was crying, "DO YOU?! And all I needed was my little sister to make it all better." Kate was now sobbing and she leaned down and hugged Abby, who was now also crying.

"I'm sorry," Abby cried, "I'm so sorry." Kate pulled Ziva in and they were in a big pile of hugs on the ground.

"I missed you," Kate whispered through tears, "I thought something bad happened to you that Vance wasn't telling us and mom was crying and dad was scared and…I'm so glad you're alright."

After a couple of minutes Jenny and Gibbs came outside to check on them and what they saw made them smile. Ziva, Abby, and Kate were lying on the ground looking up at the stars. They walked back in and came out with blankets and pillows. They gave them to the girls and watched as the girls got situated on a big blanket, each with their own pillow that were crushed together looking like one big pillow, and they all snuggled together under a big blanket. Gibbs walked over to his girls to give them each a kiss on the head. When he was about to walk away he tripped over a rock and fell into the water. The girls sat up and looked to see what had happened, before falling over each other in laughter. Jenny chuckled and Gibbs walked over to her. Jenny pulled him down for a kiss, making the girls awe at them.

"I missed that!" Abby exclaimed.

"We all did," Ziva chimed in.

"Aw!" Abby said, pretending to be sad, "Daddy isn't getting any? You not getting those Mommy kisses?"

"Abby!" Gibbs and Jenny yelled, making the girls laugh.

"No, this is the first kiss I've seen in a while," Kate said. Jenny smirked and wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him again.

"Okay, one was enough," Abby said, acting queasy. Gibbs and Jenny smiled before Gibbs ran over to his girls and grabbed them.

"Get over here," he playfully commanded, earning him some playful shrieks and laughs. He tackled his girls until they were laughing so hard that they couldn't breathe.

"Okay girls," Gibbs said, "Let's go inside."

"Can't we sleep out here?" Kate asked.

"No."

"Pleeeeaaassseee," Abby whined.

"No. There could be wild animals out here."

"Can we have a campfire?"

"Ooh a camp fire sounds nice," Jenny commented.

"Campfire it is," Gibbs chuckled.

Fifteen minutes later they had a fire going and everyone was around it. Tony had brought out a ukulele and Abby's guitar and wanted to play a sound with her. After a while of begging Abby gave in.

"Alright Tony," Abby said, "What do you wanna do?"

"I play lead and you come in background," Tony said, looking to Abby who was directly to his left.

"What song?"

"The best campfire song like ever."

"I don't know…I don't have a great voice like yours," Abby said.

"Just play with me okay?" Tony started out on the ukulele and Abby started laughing.

"You remember?" Tony asked laughing.

"Tony," Abby laughed.

"Ready?"

"No. We need a drum set to do this," Abby laughed, "This is the song you wanna-?"

"Yes this is the song!"

"Fine." They started playing.

"I call this one the Campfire-Song Song," Tony said, making Kate and Jimmy laugh hysterically.

"Let's gather around the campfire," Tony sang then Abby joined, "And sing our campfire song. Our C-A-M-P-F-I-R-E S-O-N-G song. And if you don't think that we can sing it faster then you're wrong. But it'll help if you just sing along."

"Bam, Bam, Bam…" Kate and Jimmy sang. Abby and Tony took a breath and stared at each other before…

"C-A-M-P-F-I-R-E S-O-N-G song. C-A-M-P-F-I-R-E S-O-N-G song. And if you don't think that we can sing it faster then you're wrong. But it'll help if you just sing along. C-A-M-P-F-I-R-E S-O-N-G song," Abby and Tony sang, then Abby called, "Tony!

"Song! C-A-M-P-F-I-R-E...," Tony yelled.

"Gibbs," Abby said, "Good."

Then Tony and Abby sang, "It'll help. It'll help. If you just sing along! O Yea!"

Everyone was laughing and clapping.

"I am too sober for this," Abby laughed, downing her beer.

"What is that from?" Jenny asked.

"Same one this is from," Tony said, "KRUSTY KRAHH-AHHB-AHHB-AHHB-YAHHB-AHHB-YAHHB PIZZA IS THE PIZZA YEAH FOR YOU AND…MEEEHEEEEE!" Tony's voice cracked.

"You're not doing it right," Abby laughed.

"Fine then you do it."

"No way."

"Fine." Abby yawned and looked down at her guitar.

"Tony go get the electric," Abby said. Tony ran and got it and then brought it back with the portable battery powered amp. Abby switched guitars with him and whispered in his ear. He smiled and nodded. They played a few songs together. Most were by Green Day. After about an hour, everyone started to get tired and go to bed.

When Abby, Ziva, and Kate were in their room, they started talking. Gibbs came in to check on them later to find that they had all fallen asleep on the couch. He slowly picked one by one up and put them on a bed. When he went to put Abby to bed he sighed, realizing how lucky he was for them to be family again. He placed her gently on her bed and he pulled the covers over her. He kissed her forehead and when he turned around he saw Kate smiling at him.

"You happy now?" Gibbs asked her, half smile on his lips.

"Very happy," Kate said. Gibbs went over and kissed her on the forehead and then he did the same to a snoring Ziva.

"My God, how do you sleep with her in the room?" Gibbs asked.

"We wait until you leave and then smother her with a pillow."

Ziva awoke mid-snore and said, "I heard that." Gibbs chuckled.

"Goodnight girls," Gibbs said, before walking out and going into his and Jenny's room. He saw Jenny reading a book on his side of the bed.

"Never realized how lucky I am Jen," he said, "To have Ducky, Mike, Tony, Tim, Jimmy, Ziva, Abby, Kate, and you…and even Vance."

"Glad you realize it now." She put her book aside.

"Move over. You're on my side."

"Make me." Gibbs picked her up and threw her to the other side, making her laugh. He got in his spot and spooned her from behind.

"Hey Jen," Gibbs whispered, after she leaned over to flick the lights off and get back into snuggled position.

"Yes Jethro."

"I know I don't uh…say it often enough but uh…I love you and I'm glad you're alive."

"I love you too…and I'm glad we're all here," she said, forcing the tears not to leave her eyes. Gibbs turned her to her back and he placed a light kiss on her mouth before holding her again.

Everything was perfect…but what would one knock at the door bring? Or who would it bring?
