CHAPTER SEVEN:

"Lead the way!" he told me and I stood off the bench I was sitting on. I couldn't stop staring at him. He was wearing dark blue jeans, a simple black t-shirt and a black jacket. He looked like the typical bad boy, and for all I knew he was a bad boy.

I walked quietly not knowing what to say to him. However, Christian looked delighted as he walked beside me down the path which lead to the end of the pond. He would turn and look at me every chance he thought I wasn't looking at him. He made me feel anxious, but not as much as other people made me feel. He brought out a calmness in me that made it easy to be around him.

"Have you ever played twenty questions?" I asked Christian and he shook his head.

"How do you play that?" he asked curious.

"Well we each have the turn to ask each other twenty questions. They can be silly questions to get to know each other... The rule is not to ask serious questions though."

"Alright," he looked baffled.

"I'll start." I look to the pond and think of a good question to ask this mysterious man. "What is your favourite flavour of jelly bean?"

He placed his hands inside his pockets and thought about the question, "I'll have to say blueberry pie."

"Great choice." I laughed a little.

"Is it my turn?" he asked.

I nodded my head and waited for his question.

"What's your favourite Christmas movie?"

"That's easy, the nightmare before Christmas." I shrug off like it was a no brainer.

"I have never seen it." he admitted.

"Are you serious? You are joking right?" I look confused and a bit offended for the lack of knowledge of it.

"What is it about?" he asked me.

"I can't tell you! You need to watch it." I smile, "Alright my turn... if you could live in a period of history when would it be and why?"

"I'll have to say the Middle Ages... Have you seen the clothing." he laughed, he has a beautiful laugh.

Christian was truly getting into the game and I could see how free spirit he really was. "What was the best birthday you ever had?"

"The best birthday I had was my eleven birthday." I admitted feeling overwhelmed by the memories.

"Why is that?"

"Well, that was the year I was into Hello Kitty. My mother got me this beautiful diary and got me a vanilla flavour cake. You see most years they would have a party for me, but this year it was just the three of us. We spend the whole day together watching movies and celebrating my birthday." My mind was immediately brought back when I heard kids approaching. I began to feel anxious and checked the time on my hand watch. It was after one o'clock and that meant it was about to get crowded here. "I need to go." I told him feeling my panic attack rising. I couldn't let him see me like that again.

"Wait, but we are not finish our game."

"I'm sorry, I can't be here." I continued to look around and began to feel like the ground was moving.

Christian touched my arm, "Come on, I'll take you home."

I nodded my head thankful. His touch made me feel semi-grounded. He rushed us back and people were looking at me weird. I bet they wonder why such good looking man was doing with a crazy girl like me. I was thankful when we arrived at Christians car.

"This is your car?" I asked amused.

"You like it?" he sounded proud of his car.

I took a good look at it. It was a black 1967 Chevy Impala, it was a two door beauty of a car.

Christian opened the passenger door for me and I step in, "have you ever watched Supernatural?" I smirked.

"No, I don't think so. Why?" he asked as he got in the drivers side and inserted his key to the engine. "No reason, I was just wondering." I let out a little laugh and realize my panic attack had disappeared. This had never happened before. It always started and didn't end until it took full control of me. However, Christian had that effect on me, he made me relax and forget my problems while I was near him.

"How about some music?" Christian asked as he pulled out and into the road. He pressed a few buttons and one of my favourite songs came on. This town by Niall Horan.

Waking up to kiss you and nobody's there

The smell of your perfume still stuck in the air

It's hard

Yesterday I thought I saw your shadow running round

It's funny how things never change in this old town

So far from the stars

I couldn't help, but think about Christian and how it had only been a few days since we had met, but he had already made a difference in my life. I knew I needed to remember he was not here to stay, but a part of me wish he would.

"Where will you go from here?" I asked him hoping that somehow his destination was close to here and I could still see him again.

"I'll be stopping at Elkmon for the night." he told me and my heart sank.

I opened the window and let the fresh air hit my face. I didn't want him to see my disappointed look as he drove me home.

Ten minutes later we arrived in front of my house. Christian came around to open the door for me and I got out feeling nervous. He pushed back his hair with his hand.

"Thank you for spending time with me." he looked at me and I didn't want to look away from him. He was standing a few feet away from me and I desperately wanted him to kiss me. I'd never wanted that from a man so soon before. He was completely different. I wanted him more than I wanted my next breath.

"Good luck on your travels." I told him, but the truth was that I didn't want him to leave.

I began to walk to my door and came to a stop just before I crossed the frame of the door that would separate us. "Perhaps we can do this again if you're ever in Athens again?" I said and a big smile took over his mouth, he looked pleased at my words.

"Take care of yourself Ana." he said and I nodded hoping that one day we would run into each other again
