AN: Good morning my lovely readers and happy Monday. I know it has been a little while since I've updated but I'm working on updating all of my stories more. Once again anything you recognize is JK Rowling's anything you don't is mine.

Oliver POV

I sat next to Hermione's hospital bed and held her hand. James and Sirius, that's what they said their names were, were standing behind me in the infirmary. I had carried her here after she had fainted from the shock of seeing two people who were long dead. If I was being honest, I would be shocked too. Madam Pomfrey told us that Hermione would wake up on her own time.

"What is it? What's going on?" A feminine voice asked. I looked up from a freckle on Hermione's cheek that I had been studying. A beautiful redhead with brilliant green eyes ran up to James and Sirius. James wrapped his arm around the girl's waist and she placed her hand against his chest.

"The new guy's bird fainted." Sirius said shrugging his eyes slowly flicking over to where Hermione and I were sitting. I gave him a glare and turned back to Hermione. She would probably be furious when she woke up and realized I hadn't corrected the others from believing we were a couple. It was just easier if I let them believe we were together, anything else would be too complicated to explain.

"What? Oh hey, it's you." I looked back to the trio. The girl walked over to me her hair swinging around her shoulders. I grunted as she sat down next to me. "I'm glad you're okay."

"Thanks," I said turning back to Hermione.

"How did you two get tangled up with the Whomping Willow anyway?" She asked sitting down next to me.

"Long story," I said, pressing a kiss to Hermione's hand before setting it back on the bed.

"I've got time and so do you." I gave the girl a dark look and rubbed my hands against my eyes.

"Why would I talk to you? I don't even know your name." I said, glaring at the presumptuous redhead. The girls eyes widened and she flushed a pink color.

"Oh Merlin, where's my manners. My name is Lily Evans, this is my boyfriend James Potter and his best friend Sirius Black. So how did you come to be at our school and fighting the Whomping Willow?" Lily asked, crossing her arms.

"Hermione and I were flying," I said, tentatively fingering one of Hermione's curls. Her hair was soft like candyfloss. "We were trying to get away from Death Eaters."

"Holy shit, mate, how did you escape?" Sirius asked, his eyes wide.

"I flew as hard and fast as I could," I said, pulling Hermione's curl straight and then watched it bounce back. "I didn't really watch where I was going and then Hermione was hit with a branch and it broke her arm."

"Was that before or after I found you?" Lily asked, her face pale.

"Before," I said, feeling sick to my stomach. "Anyway, we both were injured by the tree and then you came along."

"Yeah, sorry for yelling at you," Lily said, blushing. "I just wasn't expecting anyone to be outside at the time."

"What were you doing outside, anyway?" I asked, looking up at Lily. She flushed and ran a hand through her hair.

"I was helping a friend." I raised an eyebrow but decided not to ask any questions.

"She was helping me," a tried voice said from behind one of the curtained beds. "Come on guys, move the curtains I'm too sore to do it myself."

I watched silently as the green curtain was pulled back. A small boy with hunched shoulders and watery eyes was standing there. I frowned but turned my eyes to the boy on the bed. He looked familiar. The scars and sandy blonde hair. The green eyes and tired smile. The muscular build and pale skin tone.

"I'm Remus and that's Peter." Oh Godric. I looked around the room in shock. They were all here? Right now? Hermione had explained all about the Marauders and how they were connected. Right now, more than anything else, I wanted to strangle Peter Pettigrew. But there was no point. If I killed him now it would be murder. I could see both his arms since his sleeves were rolled up and they were baby skin pink.

"Nice to meet you, I'm Oliver." I said nodding in their direction.

"I know," Remus said watching me closely. "I've been here just as long as you have."

I froze, my heart pounding loudly in my chest. If Remus had been here the whole time that meant... he could have overheard something about Hermione and I... SON OF A BITCH!

I opened my mouth to say something but froze when Hermione whispered my name. I looked down at her, expecting her to be awake, but she was still asleep. Her eyes were tightly shut and she sighed. I froze in shock, not sure what to think or believe but Hermione sighed before saying my name again. "Oliver."

"That's our cue to leave." Lily said standing slowly. "I'll check on you two in a couple hours. Come on guys lets give the love birds some space."

I ignored the annoyed sounds of the boys as Lily led them out but I was too busy staring at Hermione. I had never heard my name spoken like that before, with so much need, hope and reverence. If I didn't know any better I would have been sure Hermione had spoken my name lovingly. But Hermione Granger wasn't in love with me... she couldn't be... could she?

AN: Please Review! It helps so much more than you realize. Reviews make me happy and when I'm happy I think about the story more. The more I think about it the more I create new twists and turns for the story and I end up updating more. Which in the end makes everyone happy.
