A/N: Okay so hopefully this makes sense...I wanted to separate this passage into the different point of views of each character (hence the line breaks). Hope you enjoy it!

I do not own Frozen

Heavy footsteps echoed through the tall castle walls, as Kristoff made his way through the courtyard. After weeks of fighting the bitter cold up in the harsh mountains, he couldn't get enough of the warm sun on his face. It seemed as though the breeze was welcoming him back, touching him with its warm embrace. The breeze howled softly through the empty outer corridors, causing Kristoff to frown slightly. Usually he was tackled the moment he crossed through the heavy gate, and squeezed into a strong bear hug. Anna was always waiting for him; a huge smile on her face that lit her eyes and seemed to make her glow with happiness. That was what Kristoff loved most; seeing Anna standing beneath the blossoming cherry tree, simply waiting for him to return home.

But today Anna wasn't waiting for him. Thinking that perhaps she had overslept, or simply became preoccupied, he waited for her beneath the tree. Kristoff still wasn't comfortable wandering through the castle on his own, even though everyone knew he was welcome. The longer Kristoff waited, the deeper his heart sank.

As the minute's ticked by Kristoff's mind began to attack him with fear driven thoughts: Perhaps this was the beginning of what he always feared, that Anna finally realized he was too common for her! Maybe this time, she lost her love for him. Maybe she was tired of waiting…maybe she had met someone else…maybe she—

Kristoff's thoughts were interrupted by a shrill scream of pure terror. Jumping to his feet, Kristoff sprinted into the castle, his fears forgotten.

A force not her own drove Anna to keep running. A sense of hunger filled her, a hunger not only for food but for clarity and understanding as well. Her mind was clouded and muddled; her thoughts came sporadically and without focus. She understood that she was running, but not as herself.

She was Anna, and yet she was not Anna.

Howling in frustration, she barely registered her four paws, tail, and snout. A primal need began to grow within her, suffocating her human spirit. Even in her confused state she understood that she was losing control to something. Something like herself but it wasn't herself. The invisible force tightened its grip, causing her to panic and sink deeper into its' clutches. Gripping desperately onto the last shred of herself, Anna felt an invisible force push her down further. Her grip loosened and suddenly everything went black.

In an instant her mind cleared. She couldn't remember what she was fighting against, but pure instinct drove her forward. Her body began to calm; her senses sharpened… her urges became more lethal. She was trapped, that much she knew. If she stayed here death would be almost certain.

Sensing something around the corner, she lunged forward growling and baring her teeth. Things were clear to her now. She knew what she had to do: she had to hunt and defend herself against those who pursued her. The creature cowered before her, holding a flat shiny rock in a pathetic attempt to defend itself. Anna felt a twinge of pity for the unfortunate creature; the poor thing didn't stand a chance.

She charged…her prey screamed.

Barely glimpsing the broken vases and overturned tables within the halls, Kristoff ran as fast as his legs would allow. His heart fluttered like the wings of a hummingbird; if anything happened to Anna he would never forgive himself. He should have known something was wrong when she wasn't in the courtyard; he should have gone looking for her! Clenching his fists, Kristoff forced himself to clear his mind. If he was going to fight these men he had to stay focused, no doubt they were skilled soldiers or maybe even assassins!

Rounding the corner Kristoff saw the source of the screams: one of the servants had her back pinned against the wall, hiding behind what seemed to be a silver kitchen tray. His eyes caught a glimpse of movement, and as he turned his head his blood ran cold. Standing in the courtroom was a huge wolf, with fur as black as the night sky. Its' eyes, fierce with rage, were focused on the woman. Kristoff watched in shock as the wolf charged…the woman screamed….

Kristoff was surprised to suddenly find himself running at the wolf, his hunting knife somehow in his hand. Knowing he wouldn't reach the woman in time, he threw his knife as hard as he could, trusting his years of practice and experience.

The blade flew true…

Hearing a scream, Elsa and Kira made their way to the royal courtroom. Rounding the corner Elsa saw Anna's lethal body lunging at one of the maids, but before she could do anything a man's yell surprised her. Looking up she saw Kristoff running toward Anna. Elsa could just make out something in his hand, and as he pulled back his arm Elsa realized with dread that it was a knife.

"NO!" she screamed, but it was too late; Kristoff threw the knife and with rising panic Elsa realized that it was heading straight for Anna.

Her sister would be dead in a matter of seconds.

Sensing danger, her keen eyes glimpsed a glint of something. Instinct caused her to twist in midair, the weapon only grazing her shoulder. Feeling the sting of the cut, she howled in rage. Altering her course she faced her attacker, a large male, and bared her teeth. She would make sure this creature met its end.

Kristoff was shocked to see the wolf twist in the air, causing his knife to miss its' mark. He had never seen a wolf move in such a manner, he wasn't even sure how the beast had seen the knife. Weaponless, he faced the wolf, who now had its full focus on him. Seeing more movement, Kristoff looked up to see Elsa and a woman he didn't recognize running toward them.

"What were they thinking?!" He thought, "didn't they see the wolf?" Deciding the situation was getting too dangerous, Kristoff grabbed one of the torches from the wall. He would have to ward the wolf away from the others before they got hurt, and maybe if he was lucky an opportunity would arise to kill the beast.

"Quickly! You must put an end to this!" Kira yelled.

"How?" Elsa looked at her hands, "I might hit Anna by mistake!'

"Trust yourself Elsa. You can do this." Both Kira and Elsa stood, watching as Anna began circling Kristoff.

"I can't take that chance…"

"You have too!" Kira cried, "We don't have a choice, they're going to kill each other!"

Knowing she was right, Elsa stemmed her fear and tried to focus. With a sudden jerk of her hands, she released her power. A thick wall of ice rose between the fighting pair. Taken off guard Kristoff stumbled back, barely managing to keep his balance.

Anna, who had lunged merely a second before, had too much momentum and crashed into the wall with full force. Dazed, she struggled to get to her feet.

"Now!" Kira ordered, "build some kind of barrier around her before she regains her senses!"

Wasting no time, Elsa concentrated on the area around Anna's slumped wolf form. Carefully she created bars of ice around Anna, until she was completely trapped within an ice cage. Coming to, Anna threw herself against the bars, snapping her jaws wildly.

"Don't worry," Elsa said to Kristoff who was still visibly tense, "she can't break the bars, they are too thick."

Breathing a sigh of relief, Kira walked closer to the cage, "good work Elsa…I suppose it could have been worse." She attempted a small smile, but Elsa could tell it was forced.

"Was this why you wanted to wait?" she asked, taking the time to slow her racing heart.

Kira nodded, "yes, usually things are taken at a slower degree…for obvious reasons."

"What is going on?!" Kristoff cried, frustrated, "Who is this woman? How the hell did a wolf enter the castle? And where is Anna?!"

"Those questions are not easily answered," remarked Kira, placing her hands on her hips.

Kristoff clenched his fist, his temper growing, "I'm sorry who are you again?" Kira opened her mouth to answer, but Kristoff cut her off "never mind, I don't care, where is Anna?"

His question was directed at Elsa, who looked helplessly at the caged wolf. Anna was still trying to break the bars, clawing at them with an intense fury.

"Umm…" Elsa hesitated unsure how to explain.

"Oh for crying out loud!" Kira exclaimed, "how many times do I have to explain this!" Moving closer to the cage she jabbed her finger at the angry wolf, "There! That is Anna!"

Kristoff's incredulous eyes traveled from Kira, to the wolf, then back to Kira. "If this is some kind of joke—"

"It's not a joke Kristoff," Elsa assured him softly, "that really is Anna."

Kristoff stared with disbelief at the raging beast they claimed was Anna. Its eyes were the same color, but they were empty of any warmth. Could it be? Could that angry creature be the sweet tempered Anna he had come to know and love?

Before he could voice his thoughts, his world suddenly went black.

A/N: Hopefully that made sense and it wasn't too confusing! Please feel free to review and leave suggestions:)
