Bloodstream
The sky was blue with very few clouds other than the one she, her mom and her aunt were standing on. This had only happened once before, after falling out of the building while fighting Isuke but she was once again back with her mother and aunt. The assassin embraced her mom and asked if the end had already come as she began to cry. Her Mom held her in her arms while her aunt placed her hand on her shoulders. Her Mom began to talk. "Its ok to cry, even I did sometimes but it's not okay to die, just for tonight. Hold on, life live like you give it all, be strong. Live and protect what is precious to you, Its ok to shake, its alright to cry but just hold on. So live life like you've given all, go ahead and just hold on." The assassin opened her eyes.
A white hospital room , it smelled sterile, cold . Her vision was blurry and it was difficult to move her left arm. There was sharp pain coming from the arm and shoulder then she remembered being shot, the last glimpse she had of her lovers ran threw her head. Last time she had seen her, she was unharmed but that wasn't enough to stop the panic. Fear, the assassin sat up but her vision turned blurry again, the woman turning to find something to stabilize her body found another bed by her side with what looked like a person in it. Their whole body was covered by a thin sheet but the assassin knew just who they were. She let her body relax while turning her attention to the girl beside her. There was only an IV line connected to the small sleeping girl, this looked like a good sign. Her vision was turning blurred once more, the room was spinning, she gripped the bed tightly to fight this but no use and passed out cold once more.
The room was cold, unpleasant and only brought on memories of painful emotions she had felt in these stupid places. The smell had always made her feel sick, that disgusting aroma of death washed away with chemicals. That's all it was for the small woman, sorrow and despair would always come from being in a hospital. Those were the emotions she awoke to. A harsh reality, the world was full despair. The small woman sat up and noticed her surroundings, still a bit disoriented and confused with what had happened then she saw her lover on the bed next to her own, her eyes widened. Silent tears ran down her face, the monitors suggested that she was alive but was asleep. The assassins was paler than usual, her lips still colorless but then she noticed the ring on her hand. It was still there, looking at her own hand, her tears kept on falling, like rain drops with no intent to subside. The red head stood, gently took the IV off her arm and made her way to the assassin. Their hands intertwined, the assassin was so cold but the smaller woman brought her hand up to her lips and gently rested a kiss on the sturdy well trained hand. Then for a slight second the assassin mumbled something. "I won't let you touch her." those were the words then something about curry. The red head smiled then the assassin gripped her hand and opened her eyes. "I'm glad that you're safe." She spoke tenderly, paying no attention to her physical state and sitting up. The smaller woman began to cry. "I was so scared, you kept me safe but you ended up getting hurt. I'm sorry." Sobbed the smaller woman but she was suddenly interrupted. "Haru, I'm cold. Lay with me. Hold my body tight like you did last night, hold me tightly in your arms and don't let me go. It's not your fault, let me look into your eyes until the sun comes up, slowly put your lips on mine and gently let them close, with our bodies close let's fall asleep. Just put your faith in me, that's all I need." Spoke the injured woman. " See the flames inside my eyes, I want to feel your love, tonight let me feel your love." She added.
The tears stopped as the assassin wiped them away. "Tokaku, you don't have permission to die, ever. You are the only one for me. Okay?" The smaller woman stated. "Okay but Haru, I'm still cold." Replied the injured female on the bed while scooting over a little to make space for her lover. They laid in bed together, hand in hand. The guardian's body relaxed, her eyes became heavy. She had fallen asleep. The red head turned her body to face the sleeping assassin, with her hand she caressed the injured woman's hair and gently laid a kiss on her forehead. "Sleep well my love." She whispered into her partner's ear. The smaller woman gently placed her arm around her girlfriends waist, making sure not to cause her any pain and closed her eyes, falling asleep also.
