Hello my lovelies. Sorry for the long wait. A lot can happen when you're not only moving countries, but continents. But things have settled down some, so I can write more often. Also, my twin story that I have talked about before is in the works. I've decided to approach Lily (that's her name) as a version of Rose that could have existed if she hadn't been shadow-kissed and indoctrinated into the Moroi culture. What I do want to know from you is this: Should Lily have a relationship with Adrian (this is before Golden Lily people, calm down) or if she should come in with a relationship that is similar to what Dimitri and Rose's relationship will be. Your thoughts on this and on this chapter would be greatly appreciated, my little munchkins. I hope you enjoy.

Cheerio,

I don't think I could ever be this shocked in my life. Not when I figured out what puberty was. Not when I found out that Janine was pregnant.

Not even when I had held my baby girl for the first - and last - time.

To know what it was like to be important to a person that you thought wouldn't need you in life because she had already moved on, and find out you were wrong, is truly an experience unlike any other.

Without even realizing it, a huge grin had spread across my face. My daughter wants to be part of my life. "How can you be so sure that she will let us into her life?"

Belikov seemed to find this funny, which angered me somewhat. What could he now about my daughter that I didn't. Ahhh, everything . . . Even that in the Biblical sense. Okay, that was not a good thought to have. You promised Rose you wouldn't strangle him.

While I was running my inner dialogue, Belikov had started to talk "- Rose is a very defensive person by nature, she wouldn't let you in unless she trusted you enough to not hurt her. She's taking a great leap of faith for you." Then he looked to Janine. "And especially for you."

Janine looked confused, "why would it be harder for me to get into her life? She didn't know Abe until less than a year ago. He's had no part in her life and -"

"But neither have you" Belikov cut her off. "You may have been part of her formative years, but Rose doesn't really care about that. She cares about you abandoning her to the whims of the Academy, and she still hurts about that. It makes her think of herself than less of what she is. She may have a strong front, but only the people close to her knows just how vulnerable she really is" Belikov sighed deeply at this "she really wants a genuine relationship with you now because she is more stable in her own self-worth. And I will do anything in my power to keep it that way. So since we are on the subject, I must make one thing very clear." For the first time since I had met Belikov, he started to appear threatening.

"If you ever hurt her, by abandoning her again or otherwise, I will be forced to take action. So you have to decide now. Can you and will you commit to a healthy relationship with your daughter?"

I was really spiraling into a full scale panic attack. They didn't happen very often, but I knew that this one was going to be a doozie. But for the first time, I felt safe to be in a panic. Because people who loved me, who were my family for all extents and purposes, were here with me. I didn't have to worry, because they would keep me safe.

When I became aware of reality outside of the paper bag I had been breathing into, I was supported by Olena, who had a very worried expression on her face "are you alright dear?"

It was also then that I realized that Dimitri was gone. "Where's Dimitri?" I asked.

This is when Yeva started to laugh "she is fine" they she wandered off to the kitchen to do who knows what. Probably looking for bleach to put into my food.

"He said he had to go find some people for you. He wouldn't say who though." Karolina was contemplative. "I wonder who they could be."

I sat up straight. There wasn't a need for leaning anymore. "Probably Lissa and Christian. They would love to meet you."

Olena sudddenly got very pale. "Her Majesty wants to meet us? But we're not prepared. We will have to get changed and clean and -"

Seemed like panic attacks were happening a lot tonight. "Olena, relax. Lissa has been here when its been in a lot worse shape. And she really wants to meet you as Dimitri's family, who is part of her family. She isn't going to judge you."

This seemed to calm her down slightly, but she jumped up when the front door opened. I got up before she could do anything else to meet them and . . .

"Mom . . . Dad?"
