"...Ah?"

It was like someone dropped a bucket full of spiders over his head and stabbed him with an electric shocker. The words Mao said made him tingle and shudder all over, and he wobbled on his feet.

Mao didn't notice. Her eyes were still sparkling madly. "But you know, Rei-ni.."

Rei heard her in hear in half-ear, not really listening. He was stuck in his own word, one that consisted of lazily floating ashes on a scenario of empty wasteland of sand and dirt, and only Mao's previous words echoing repeatedly in his head, his eye twitching.

He didn't even notice she called him Rei-ni again. Ni stood for Brother. She called Rai the same way. She stopped calling Rei like that after she realized she loved him.

'Is it wrong that I think it's hot?! Is it wrong that I think it's hot?! Is it wrong that I think it's hot?! Is it wrong that I think-'

"It would be much hotter if it was you with another male, because you know, you really resemble a girl with your hair!"

The thunderous lighting struck Rei out of nowhere, cruelly ripping him out of the relatively-safe (he now realized) zone of his head, shattering it like a glass to tiny billion pieces. He stood frozen with horror as Mao tagged at his long tail and pulled the white appendages away.

"See?" she laughed mercilessly as the ridiculously long black locks spread all over his back and shoulders.

He kept a leveled gaze ahead, and slowly turned around and begun walking back toward the kitchen, expression revealing nothing.

These two are dead.
