Author's Note: Hello lovely readers what a long time no see. So with all the stuff that's happened between the last time I updated and now, I've kind of taken a complete almost break from writing a lot of the stories I had posted since updating this had been written months before and so I just really kind of needed to see where I wanted this story to go. With Once doing their own canon spin on The Wizard of Oz I felt stuck. But now I have a direction that makes everyone happy. Whenever they change up the canon big time I can get flustered and want to leave my writing alone for a bit (understatement I know.) So without further ado here is chapter eight I'm sorry it's so short but chapter nine will be up shortly now that I have a definite direction.

Sophia looked down at her wedding ring as she fiddled with her fingers. She looked up when she saw Ty, all dressed up real nice and sighed. She had decided to go to the dinner and Ty said he'd go with her for moral support. She needed it. Going to see the grandfather she never knew who also coincidentally was the man that ruined her best friend's life. She felt a sense of anxiety either almost hoping this night would go terribly wrong or it would be cut short.

She felt Ty's eyes on her and turned to look one last time in the mirror. Sophia was dressed in a simple black lace dress. It was tight and went to her knees and it had three quarters length sleeves. She grabbed her clutch and kissed his cheek, "Lets get this over with." She said.

Daniel rolled off Regina and looked up at the ceiling. He let out a strong gush of air and laughed. "Wow." Daniel pulled his fiancée in close and kissed her head. He felt like he was on top of the world.

Regina was glowing, she couldn't get over that she and Daniel had just made love. She put her head on his chest and curled up. She wrapped her arm around his middle and tried to level her breathing. "Yeah. Wow. Daniel, oh Daniel." Regina lifted her head and stared at him with tears forming in her eyes. "I have my happy ever after, don't I?"

"Yes you do." Daniel said. "And I will do everything in my power to protect it." Daniel declared. "Oh Regina, I'm so in love with you." Daniel whispered and covered her body with his once more.

Sophia stepped out of the car and sighed heavily.

"We don't have to do this you know." Ty said and placed a hand on Sophia's lower back. He just wanted to make sure she was okay and that this night wouldn't scar her for the rest of her life.

"We have to." She replied. "If we want him as an ally." Sophia felt as though she may vomit at the thought of Rumplestilskin as her ally. Even if he was her grandfather.

"You're just going as a war tactic? Not because he's family?"

Sophia shook her head. "He will never be family to me. Not after what he's done to Regina."

Ty said no more and followed Sophia up the walk.

Sophia knocked on the door and then rang the doorbell, if above all else to piss off her grandfather.

A brunette about Sophia's height answered the door. Belle. She was dress in a yellow dress that made her look like she stepped straight out of the fifties. "Sophia, Ty, please, do come in." She opened the door up the rest of the way and stepped aside to let them in.

Sophia smiled gently out of politeness and stepped inside with Ty in tow. She watched as Belle shut the door and stood before them.

"Rumple will be very pleased to know you came. He's wanting us to all get to know one another as a family." Belle said and led them into the living room.

Her whole family was just sitting there, just in such a casual manner. Sophia felt a bile rise up in her throat at how wrong this felt. She knew it was right though. These people were her family. Sophia was greeted by her mother and sister and father and there stood Rumplestilskin, just staring at her in a creepy way that chilled Sophia's soul. He may be smiling at her but it felt like it was for all the wrong reasons. Was she just another puppet he thought he could manipulate? She felt goosebumps rise on her skin and snapped out of her thoughts at Ty coughing next to her then simply nodded at the man leaning heavily on his cane.

Belle thought to break the silence and patted her hands awkwardly at her sides before speaking. "Well, now that we're all here, why don't we eat?"

The clinks of cutlery and the chewing of food echo on the old walls of the Gold home. Gold, sat at the head of the table, held one of Belle's hand in his in his lap and ate with his other. Belle sat next to him and the Baelfire across the table from her, Morraine next to him Alexandria across from her, Sophia next to her mother, and Ty across from Sophia.

"So…" Belle began, "how is everyone liking their meal?" She hoped light conversation would keep everyone civil.

Sophia pursed her lips. "Mine is delicious, Belle. Thank you."

Belle smiled in triumph at successfully cooking a meal of this world. "I'm happy you're liking it."

Sophia nodded and felt a buzz in her purse which had been placed on the floor next to her foot. "Oh would you excuse me." Sophia got the clutch and walked over to the living room. She pulled out her phone and answered it. "Hello?"

"Oh! Sophia thank goodness you've answered, Regina isn't answering. Listen… I think I've spotted Theodora." Glinda said from the other line.

Sophia's eyes wideneed. "You think? How could you just THINK you saw her."

"Well I saw a lot of black smoke after a particularly gusty wind. Whenever she flew her broom black smoke would follow."

Sophia nodded and wrapped an arm around herself. "Thanks, Glinda, I'll go over to Regina's and see what's going on and then tell her what we've found."

"Okay, text me with what you hear from Regina."

"Gotcha." She replied and hung up.

Sophia walked back into the dining room and was almost elated to say, "Sorry guys, I gotta jet, the Wicked Witch has possibly been spotted and I gotta go investigate." Sophia looked at Ty and he excused himself but not before shoving all the food he could into his mouth. Sophia rolled her eyes at her husband and walked out of the Gold home.

Sophia dropped Ty off at home and made her way onto Miffin Street. Sophia parked and went up to the door. She knocked, waited a minute, rang the doorbell, waited a minute. She heard nothing from the other side. She grew worried and magicked the door unlocked. She walked in and once she got to the foyer she heard a loud thud from upstairs. Panic struck her and ran upstairs at the speed of lightening, whoever the hell was hurting her best friend would surely pay. She kicked in the door to the bedroom and screamed at the sight she saw. "OH MY GOSH AGAIN!?" Sophia covered her eyes in disgust. "Dammit Regina!"

Regina quickly covered herself up and threw Daniel's boxers at him. They had fallen on the floor after rolling around on the bed making love. "What do you want?" She asked, fixing her mussed hair.

"Glinda couldn't get ahold of you, she said she's spotted the Wicked Witch now sorry for this coitus interruptus but this is kind of more important than your sex life!" Sophia said, eyes still covered.

"Well let me get dressed and I will help you, now go downstairs and wait for me." Regina ordered. Sophia nodded and turned around and ran out.

Regina walked downstairs and looked angrily at her friend. "Why do you keep interrupting me?"

Sophia looked at her, offended, "Why are you such a sex vixen?"

"You'd know if you had stayed my friend when I was the evil queen." She retorted.

Sophia scoffed, "Oh how convenient." She was about to make a second snarky remark when a loud cackling and a whirling came from outside. Sophia threw the front door open and saw the black mass swirling around before them. Sophia quickly called up Glinda, "GLINDA! It's me, hey umm so yeah you might want to get to Regina's house, like now." She hung up and tried to mentally prepare herself in case Theodora attacked.

A puff of opalescent smoke appeared on Regina's stoop and Glinda materialized when the smoke dissipated. Sophia pointed at the craziness before them and Glinda pulled out her wand.

"Theodora, stop with the theatrics. What do you want?" Glinda said, wand at the ready.

The swirling slowed down and the witch on the broom made her way to the soft ground of the earth. She stood and held her broom next to her. "Oh my my… you still think Theodora has her green skin?" She asked and the three froze. The witch tipped up her head, "she's currently nothing but bones in an unmarked grave in Oz."

Sophia's eyes widened, "If that's not Theodora, then who is that?" She whispered to Regina.

The witch cackled, "Oh my, how rude of me not to introduce myself, I'm Zelena. The Wicked Witch of the West."
