Time for chapter 8! Or that's what I think... Anyhow this chapter went one way then switched to another sooo whatever. We now learn about Arthur's past! Some of it I guess how about to the story! I don't own hetalia and junk sorry for mistakes!

Small snores echoed through the quiet room, they bounced off the walls. Alfred sat on the floor watching as Arthur slept, which soon was getting a bit boring. Alfred picked himself off the ground and once again began to explore the small room. His feet again landed in front of the old dusty dresser with a picture of a younger Arthur with other people. Alfred wanted to know who these people were, he was craving to know. As much as he wanted to know, he didn't want to ask Arthur I seemed to he a touchy subject for the Brit. Alfred sighed and put the picture back on the small stand on the dresser and walked to a chair.

Arthur's dream~

"THERE IS NOTHING THERE!" Allistor yelled at a small ten year old Arthur. The boy had small tears threatening to escape his green eyes.

"I-l s-swear t-t-there i-is something there"

"No there isn't!" the older countered again.

"Yes she's right there" Arthur pointed to the spot next to him.

"She?"

"Yes its a girl she has short blonde hair and a purple ribbon. Her eyes are green like yours and she is wearing a white dress."

"Arthur there is nothing there"

"Yes!"

"No! Turn around and see!" Arthur looked to his side the girl was gone.

"-But...she was right there...how?" Allistor shook his head and looked away.

"There was nothing and there will never be!" Allistor said then whispered a few words to himself and walked away.

Arthur let the small tears fall, as they fall he ran put of his older brothers study. He ran up the stair case and into a light green door. He opened the door and entered the darkened room. Arthur dragged himself to bed where he searched for IT. When he found IT the boy hugged IT. IT was a gift given to him by his dead mother. IT was a stuffed bunny with small wings. It was a greenish blueish color. The eyes were black that reflected back. He named the bunny MINT. It was the best thing he had, the only thing from his mother.

He fell on the floor hugging the bunny he cried his heart out. All the pain falling, being soaked by the small stuffed bunny.

"Don't cry!" a voice echoed out of nowhere. Arthur looked around left right, right left. No one was here.

"Who?" Arthur has to ask.

"Me! Look at down" the boy looked down only the stuffed bunny was there. "Hi is name is Mint!"

"Mint?" the boy blinked he closed his shut tightly then opened them.

"Yea my name is Mint, and you shouldn't cry Arthur im here to keep you happy you wont be alone" for the first time Arthur smiled a real smile and let out a laugh. He hugged the bunny and gave a muffled thank you.

The next day

Arthur ran down the long stairs he was carrying the bunny. He speed into the dinning room. To only see his four brothers already seated. Allistor at head table.

"What's got you all happy?" Allistor asked raising and eyebrow.

"I had the best night and a reason to be happy." now that got the attention of everyone in the room.

"Oh?"

"Yea" he pulled put the bunny from under the table to show his family " Mint said he would be my friend and that he would protect me. He also told me not to cry..." he hugged the bear with such love and affection, "Mint is my best friend he said he will never leave my side, never abounded in me!"

The three left over brothers gave Allistor a worried look. Allistor only bit his lip until it bleed. This was getting serious, very serious." Arthur?"

"hmmm"

"Please leave I must discuss something's with your brothers..."
The boy nodded hopped off the chair and ran out the room...holding the rabbit.

Later~

"Arthur" the boy was in the sitting room reading a book with the bunny. He looked up to see Allistor. "Follow me" he nodded got up and followed. With the bunny.
"What is it brother?"

"Me and your brothers have thought of something that will help you"
Arthur's eyebrows knitted together, he was confused what was best for him? Was something wrong? Was something wrong with him?

Don't listen to his words when they come

"Arthur in town a hospital was open"

Hospital?

"It helps with people who have mental health issues"

mental health issues?

"We decided for you to go and stay at the hospital for sometime"

Stay at the hospital, mental issues?

"But im not crazy!" Arthur said softly

"We know but-"

"-But what?!" he yelled back "Im not crazy Allistor"

"WE NEVER SAID YOU WERE! PLUS THIS IS BEST FOR YOU!" the older one yelled.

"Best for me?"

Dont listen you aren't crazy.

"WE decided you will leave tomorrow. I signed all the papers there is nothing left leave." Arthur's body froze. No way out, not now.

Arthur did what he did when he felt sad. He ran to his room and cried. Though today he cried his soul out. Holding Mint he cried and cried.

"Dont cry... It makes me sad when you cry" never an answer was given...

You aren't crazy the voice retaliated.

End~

Arthur was thrashing in his sleep. Alfred could see this he got up and walked towards him. He could see Arthur's face of discomfort, that made him frown. That's when he saw small tears start to fall. "please" mumbles of words "dont...away...hospital...not...crazy" his thrashing got worse. Alfred shook his head.
"Arthur wake up" he said softly trying not to startle the boy.

"Artie wake up" he now began to shake him slowly. After a while and a stop in thrashing green eyed opened. They held fear, angry, confusion and remorse. "Artie what happened?"

Arthur let the name slip he looked at Alfred then looked around. It wasn't here, they took it away. " I was dreaming"

"About?"

"Childhood memories"

"I see, can I know?"

The room was then filled silence now waiting for Arthur's answer. What that come who knew only to decide by him.

" I didn't think I was crazy" Arthur said "Now a days I dont know, back then when I was sent I never thought I was crazy. Years have passed and now im not sure"

"Is that what it was about?"

"No" Arthur shifted uncomfortably under the others glaze "I was dreaming of a ten year old boy. Of how he was alone and never smiled, his older brothers and how they looked down on him. Also this boy never got a hug from parents. His mother died at his first year of his life, his father went into the military after the mom died. This boy also never had a friend. Then once he gets a friend, something that makes him smile." he took a deep breath " then they think wrong. They think something is wrong with him. They think he's crazy, so what do they do?" a pause "they send him away and take his reason to smile away, they sent me away they say im crazy. Though am I? I wanted a friend someone to laugh, but things dont go as planned"

A long silence came afterwards. Both shifted uncomfortably though no one said a word. Alfred didn't like this silence, his eyes bounced from here to there. He opened his mouth and "Oh" came out. "So that's what you dreamed about, never heard that type of dream before"

"neither have I, until now of course life gives you weird turn of events" Arthur pulled his knees to his chest and hugged them looking at Alfred. Alfred who just stood there. "sit" Alfred blinked and nodded he sat down on the end of the bed looking at the now small looking Brit.

Arthur hugged his knees looking for a comfort something, anything to feel safe. The stuffed bunny made him happy, though all his happiness went down the drain. His green eyes flashed a memory appeared re-playing its horror.

"Give it to me!" Allistor yelled at Arthur as he tried to take the green rabbit away. Arthur was kicking, screaming, fighting trying to not let them take his friend away. He yelled for the help of his middle brothers none of them came forth to his rescue. Nevertheless he kept fighting.

"NO! Allistor let go of me!" he yelled as he kicked his brothers hand. "let go of mint your ganna hurt him!" he tugged trying to keep grasp of the bunny.

"GIVE. IT. TO. ME!" Allistor's screams got bolder, stronger and louder. His pulls at the rabbit more force. He pulled at the rabbit trying to take it away. How was this boy so strong he didn't know? Allistor pulled and pulled, he wasn't going to give up.

"Please Allistor mother gave it to me!" those words caught the Scottish man off guard, but wasn't enough to make him stop.

"All the more reason to get rid of it" one last pull and as if time went slow for the young British boy, the bunny was no longer in his grasp.

Allistor picked the rabbit high enough for Arthur not to be able to reach. He grinned down at the other who was on the floor eyes wide. Through the wide eyes tears streamed down his eyes, sadness crossed his eyes. He made no movement through he was shaking, shaking with many emotions.

Allistor walked to the back door and walked outside. He walked to a pile of leaves. Taking out a box of matches he struck one and threw it to the leaves.

Arthur through his shock saw the burst of flames. He was confused, until it hit him like a pile of bricks. He got up and ran out the door towards Allistor "NO PLEASE ALLISTOR DONT DO IT!" he yelled his body shaking. He jumped trying to get what was his. "please" his lip quivered gently even more tear fell. Allistor gave no mind to the boys pleading.

He tossed the bunny in the flames.

"healing starts now..."

The flames licked, and lipped the bunny. Red ripped the green away creating black. The flames grew larger, shining in combinations of red, yellow, orange and speaks of blue. Of the green bunny its ashes flew into the darken sky.

Arthur fell to the floor not caring to get his clothes dirty. His left eye began to twitch, his face giving a pain stricken feature. Tears fell even more. It hurt to think now he let his best friend die in the flames that his brother created. He could have save him, not now it was too late. He placed his hand on his heart and let out a high pitched scream that made a few birds scatter. His body fell completely and he curled to a ball it hurt, he felt hurt, alone, hollow, betrayed, and most of all cold. He lost everything. Another scream but less loud, he did now what he did best in pain. He got up and ran to his room. Everyone stepped aside no one wanted to deal with his sparking pain.

The darkened room room him, as if making a blanket over him carling him. The darkness trying to dull his pain of his loss. Arthur couldn't hold his feet and again collapsed not even trying to get up. Letting the darkness shush away his pain until the next day.

Pain flew quickly Arthur shook his head no one memories of his past they are dead to him. Dead. "Did they have to do that though" he coughed out never noticing his tears. That not began to run down his cheeks.

"Do what?" he looked up at the American he forgot about him. "did they have to do what?" Arthur closes his eyes and, opened his mouth to answer...
