Me: Hello. :)

Jake: So why am I here?

Me: Because I want you here.

Jake: Oh

Cam: Well I don't want him here and what has taken you so long?

Jake: well you don't get to decide that now do you? And did you consider she might have been busy with her life or sick?

Arella: Enough guys. Phaux needs absolute silence and concentration to tell the story.

Cam: fine.

Jake: fine.

Me: Thank you. Cam put the butter back in the fridge.

Cam: D: -puts butter back in fridge.-

Jake: what was that for?

Me: He wanted to hit you with it.

Jake: Why would he hit me with butter?

Me: Inside joke you wouldn't get it.

-Butter falls off shelf and hits Cam-

Cam: X_X

Me: XD

Arella: XD

Jake: XD

Me: XD let's get started.

Arella's P.O.V

"I'm a what?" She asked eyes wide.

"You're a witch." Cam said again.

Arella looked down at Cam's chest trying to comprehend what she just heard. She was witch? How? Why? The more she thought on it the more it strangely made sense. When she was little it was like she was able to read others mind. Know what they were thinking before they even said it. When she was in middle school a girl went to go and punch her in the back. Instantly she stepped out of the way and the girl landed flat on her face. Two times in high school Arella walked out of gym class early to retrieve her clothes just in time to see two guys digging through her locker to steal them. Then there was the times that she could have sworn she blew the candle out with just her mind.

"How did you find out?" Arella asked.

"I was digging through your files to see who you were and caught glimpse of some emergency contact numbers. One of them was a family friend." He stated.

"Oh yeah Mrs. Richards, but what does that have to do with me being a witch?" Arella asked.

"Witches tend to be close to one another in case of an emergency and have someone nearby for them at all times." He stated.

"So she's a witch, but who's following me to make sure I'm not going to get hurt." Arella asked.

"It's Jake." Cam said with a frown.

"Jake! How? I mean, I know he doesn't seem too fond of you but, I wouldn't imagine him being a witch." She said.

Arella frowned when Cam pulled away and unveiled her from his wings. She knew he was going to say that it was time for him to leave. After all they both had class tomorrow. Before she pulled away completely Cam leaned down and placed his lips on hers. The kiss was soft and quick. She frowned once he pulled away from her but then smiled because she knew that he was hers and that no one else would take him from her.

"I know this is all very confusing for you but rest assured. I won't let anything happen to you. I'll explain more later, or if you want you can talk to Jake yourself." Cam said.

"Really?" Arella asked.

"No not really, I would prefer to be the one to tell you but I can't stop you from doing what you really want." Cam said sighing then continued. "Good night Arella, my angel."

"Um why did call me angel?" She asked right when he turned his back.

"Because that's what your name means, angel." He said then went out the window and took off.

Arella watched Cam fly away until she couldn't see him no more. The moment she turned around she seen Kelsey walk in the dorm in drunken like state. She had been partying again. After helping Kelsey to her bed Arella herself laid down and let sleep consume her. The next morning Arella felt surprisingly refreshed even after all the events that had happened. Looking out her dorm window she sighed, thoughts of last night plagued her mind. Why didn't she notice the signs of her being more different than everyone else? Maybe she wanted to block it out and think she was normal that way the pain of knowing that she was different wouldn't phase her. Quickly she hopped in the shower and got ready for her classes. Coming out of the bathroom she seen a groggy Kelsey rubbing her eyes and hold her head.

"Hangover?" Arella asked.

"I'm going back to bed." Kelsey said curling up in a ball and throwing the covers over her head.

"You'll have to make up the quiz." She said nudging Kelsey.

Kelsey then let out a ray of groans and moans mumbling about how quizzes suck and what not. After Kelsey was ready both girls departed and started to head to the science wing. Arella quickly got lost in her thoughts as Kelsey began to complain about the boys from the party last night, but it didn't last long for she felt her shoulder collide into someone snapping her out of her thoughts. Looking up she came face to face with Jake.

"You ok? I didn't mean to bump into you." She quickly stammered for she was at a loss for words after remembering that Jake was a witch himself and was sent to keep an eye on her.

"Yeah…Can we talk?" He asked while pulling her away from Kelsey

"Um right now?" Arella asked turning and waving frantically for her friend to go on ahead.

"Yes right now." He stated still pulling her gently.

"But what about class?" Arella said turning her head realizing Jake had dragged her outside.

Arella nervously bit her lip more and more as Jake pulled her further away from the building and into the parking lot. Where was he taking her? Why did they have to go this far just to talk? Finally Jake stopped and turned around slowly letting go of her wrist; a look on his face showed he was debating on not doing so, but he did reluctantly to Arella's relief.

"Why did you take me this far?" She asked cocking her head to the side.

"I needed to make sure no one would listen in." He sad looking around nervously as if he was expecting someone to jump out at any second.

"What did you need to talk about she asked." Even though she was certain that she knew what it was already about.

"Arella, you're a witch." Jake said bluntly.

"I know." She said looking back at him.

"I know that it's hard to…wait you know what do you mean you know?" Jake looked at her in disbelief.

"Cam told me last night." She said.

"Of course he did…" He mumbled looking away in disgust then continued. "Did he even tell you what he was?"

"Yes he did. May I ask why you have to babysit me?" She asked clearly annoyed with his sudden change in personality.

"It's not my place to say. You would have to come with me." He stated looking at her.

Arella sighed, her patience with Jake suddenly wearing thin. For some reason he had something against Cam and the way he acted was irking her beyond belief. She wondered what had happened to the carefree almost reckless boy that she had met during that party. Where did he go? Was it all an act to get her attention? Or was it a side of him that he rarely if ever got to show? Taking a deep breath she attempted to calm herself while Jake shuffled his weight, from one foot to the other not sure what to say.

"Why?" She asked her tone softer.

"Because I'm not in the position to tell you anything." He said.

"Where would I have to go to find out anything?" Her face showing her desperation on wanting to know more.

"We would have to go to a council member's house. There they could tell you what you want to know." He answered slowly.

"How far away is it?" She asked.

"I could take you." He replied pointing at his car that had been standing in front of the whole time."

Arella looked at the car and began to contemplate the idea of going with Jake. She could find the answers she has been wanting since last night or she could go take a chemistry quiz. Sighing she nodded at Jake then looked at the car. Instantly he go her hint and proceeded to unlock the car and start it up. From the corner of her eye Arella could see a flash of gold. Cam was keeping an eye on her it was obvious he did not trust Jake, but he wasn't going to force his views and opinions on her. He was going to let her make her own choices. After she got in the car she began to wonder how much longer he would allow her to do so for there was a sinking feeling in her stomach that things were going to get very dangerous very soon. About thirty minutes in the car ride the loud noisy city turned into a peaceful quiet country side, every once in while Cam would make himself known to her to ease whatever nervousness she had building up in her. She began to wonder where they were headed and as if Jake read her mind he answered.

"We're going to my Grandmother's; she is strong and very knowledgeable." He said calmly it appeared he was not aware of Cam's presence.

"I see…Jake last night I felt weird and right before I fainted it looked like something pushed Cam." She said gripping and twisting her seat belt out of nervousness.

"You were awakening…, but the way you described it sounds quite odd." He says a puzzling look coming across his features.

Arella looked out the window sighing she felt bad all of a sudden knowing she probably had hurt Cam. True it wasn't intentional but she still felt bad about it. Before she knew it she found herself looking at a house in front of her. She shifted her feet nervously not sure if she wanted to go through with this. She then felt a hand on her back. Looking up she seen Jake with a reassuring smile. She then nodded telling him she is ready. Walking inside he lead her through the living room to the dining room where a large oval table sat. There were people all around the table holding hands while an older woman sat at the front. She looked familiar; High cheek bones, glasses, wrists full of bracelets.

"Why hello Arella it's been awhile." The woman said opening her eyes that held nothing but welcome and joy her voice causing the others at the table to open there eyes and direct their attention towards her.

"Gr-grandma!?" Arella shouted.

"No need to yell. You seem very surprised." She stated.

"But Jake said…Does that mean were." She said unable to finish for Jake piped in.

"No everyone in the coven calls her that though." He said instantly relieving Arella's shock.

"So this is the one Felicia?" Asked a scruffy looking man.

"Yes Howard this is Arella." Her grandmother replied.

"She doesn't look the part." He stated.

"Don't doubt the Galdur family." Another man spoke looking at Howard.

Arella looked at everyone at the table nervously the only people here that were younger than 40 were her and Jake. Shifting her feet she felt everyone staring at her. What did that man mean by the one and not looking the part? Was she needed for something? Jake put another reassuring hand on Arella and lead her to the table luckily there was a seat next to her grandma so promptly took it. Her grandmother patted her hand on turned it over looking at her palm, her eyes curious as if she was looking for something.

"So your powers have awakened…a little early then expected but that is ok." She said still looking in her palm.

"It's a sign that were in good graces." One of the women at the table stated.

"Appears so." Her grandma said looking at Arella's palm a little longer then setting it down.

"Tell me young one what are you capable of doing?" Another person at the table asked.

"Um…" Was she could manage to get out for she was interrupted.

"She can't do anything absolutely useless I'm sorry Felicia, but she doesn't have it." Howard said.

"Don't judge till you give her a chance." Jake hissed making everyone become silent and look at him.

"What are you guys talking about I don't understand." Arella said breaking the silence and drawing everyone's attention back to her.

"Dear I know it's a lot to take in at once, but you're the key to saving us all." Her grandmother said looking at her sincerely.

Arella looked at her grandma in shock. Saving them all? Does that mean saving the world? She asked herself. She couldn't do that she was only 19. She hadn't even finished college yet. Suddenly she started to feel sick to her stomach as nervousness and the whole weight of the world bore down on her shoulders and for the third time today she felt Jake's hand on her shoulder. He began to say comforting words as darkness began to try and consume her. She heard her grandmother excuse herself as she felt Jake pick her up and carry her out of the room. Barely conscious at this point she felt embarrassed and ashamed.

Jake's P.O.V

Jake set Arella down into the guest room bed as he watched Grandmother Felicia head to the window. For what he didn't know but he quickly turned my attention back to her. She was sweating a lot. Quickly he made his way to the bathroom to get a rag and soak it in cold water upon going there he noticed the dinning room was empty the others had left. Rage swelled within him they didn't care what was happening to her all they cared about was that damn prophecy and her grandmother was only assuming she was the one she didn't know really if Arella was the chosen one. She was only going on hints. Coming back in the room Jake dropped the wet wash cloth due to the person who was standing over Arella, Cam. He was gently stroking her hair line with one hand while the other was caressing her limp hand.

"What is he doing here?" Jake asked his rage evident by his clenched fist that was shaking at his side.

"He is here to help Jake." His grandmother said as if trying to believe her own words.

"Leave you're not welcomed." Jake snarled.

"I was there when she took her last breath 20 years ago." Cam stated lowly making the room go still.

"You were what?" Jake asked slowly moving towards Cam.

"I was there 20 years ago when she died." He said again focusing his attention on Jake.

"That is impossible, she is the chosen one. The chosen one is never reincarnated." The older woman said shaking.

Jake didn't understand why she was shaking. Most of all he couldn't understand the look of pure fear in her eyes. He watched as the old woman walked and collapsed in the rocking chair on the other side of the room. From the corner of his eye he could see Cam was just as confused as he was, or so it seemed. Watching his grandmother he realized there was absolute grief and pain on her face. She was clearly upset. Going over to her he put his hand on her shoulder.

"What's wrong?" He asked.

"She is not the one…" She gasped out.

"What do you mean? What one?" Cam said looking annoyed at the lack of information he was receiving.

"Arella is not of light…She is of dark…" The woman whispered.

Jake's hand feel off of his grandmothers shoulder and slowly his head turned and his eyes rested on the girl who was lying in the bed unconscious. She couldn't be her. How could someone so nice and pure be something that will be truly evil in this world?

He was flabbergasted. Looking around he noticed two large round eyes peering in the window. It belonged to Holly the snow owl, Howard's familiar. Instantly his eyes widen as he watched the giant predator fly off the branch into the distance. Quickly he dug into his pocket pull out his keys.

"We all need to get out of here now!" He exclaimed.

"What? Why? What's going on?" Cam said.

"We don't have time to explain if we don't leave in five minutes there are going to be witches all around this house." He said pulling his grandmother to her feet.

Jake watched Cam as he unruffled his massive wings. The rumors were true they were something to behold, but he knew what evil lied beneath those wings and good looks. Jake instructed Cam to not take her back to the school instead take her to the cottage that lied north on the edge of the forest. It was secluded and it was the last place anyone who would want to harm Arella would think of going and just like that they were gone.

Arella's P.O.V.

Arella's eyes flutter open to a blinding hot light. Shifting herself up on her elbows she noticed she was lying on hot brown sand. Where was she? Where was Jake? Where were her grandmother and all those people? Standing up she put her hand above her eyes to look around and make some sense of where she was at. Nothing, there was nothing but sand and more sand. Fear began to creep up into her as she felt herself being watched from all around. Sighing and shifting nervously she did the only thing she could do, walk. While walking she attempted to take deep breaths to try and push the feeling of being watched in the back of her mind. After a grueling half an hour of walking and still seeing no change of scenery she plopped down in the sand exhausted not from the heat but from the walk. Combat boots and skirt don't mix well with sand what so ever.

Digging her fingers in the sand she tried to understand everything that she learned today. So apparently she was suppose too save the world. She didn't even have a grasp on these so called powers. So how was she, a 19 years old college student going to accomplish such feat especially since she didn't even know who she was fighting against. Sighing and leaned back and look up in the sky only to have her mouth drop and her eyes widen. There in the sky looking right at her was a single red snake like eye. The glint it had was the look of joy as if it was happy that she had finally noticed its

presence. Sitting frozen in fear Arella couldn't help but think she wasn't going to get out of her alive. She couldn't hide anywhere or run for that matter.

"So you have returned my dear." A soothing voice hissed throughout the sky making a chill go down Arella's spine.

"Who are you?" Arella chocked out.

Then eye chuckled and hissed as wind began to pick up and swirl around Arella making her hair fly in every direction as sand hit her face making it feel like needles poking her skin. Her limbs felt like lead weights and her vision began to fade in and out as the laughter grew more intense and rang through her ears and out of fear she let the darkness that had been creeping up on her take her in hopes of waking up anywhere but on sand.
