Zane's P.O.V.

"Get up, uh...Not-So-Pinky!" I woke up, startled. My eyes took a few seconds to adjust to the light. When it did though, the first thing I saw was Skalidor's face looking at me. I gasped and scooted back a few inches.

"Good, you're awake." He said, walking over to a wall and leaning on it. "It's boring just watching you sleep all day." I blinked.

"Where am I?" I asked, observing my surroundings.

"Duh, you're in the dungeon." Skalidor stated the obvious. I tried my best not to roll my eyes. It seemed pretty obvious, since I am tied up in chains and locked inside a jail cell.

"Where is this dungeon then?" I challenged, raising an eyebrow.

"It's in Ouro-I mean it's somewhere you shouldn't know, pest." He snapped. He gave me a venomous glare. "Just stay locked in there!" He shouted at me, slamming the door after. I raised an eyebrow.

Well, that was a warm welcome...

At least I know where I am: Ouroboros. I've just got to figure out how to get out of here. I looked around the room. I want to check the bars for weakness. I concentrated and my chains froze. I pulled on the bars with calculated pressure and the chains snapped. I then walked over to the bars and inspected it. I smiled. The bars were worn out over time and was weaker. I froze the metal bars and kicked it with the most force I can muster.

The bars broke like glass and formed a hole big enough for me to fit in. I took a look back and shook my head slowly. The Serpentine were dull to lock me up in a worn-out cage. I quickly went out my prison and looked both ways. The hallway was seemingly empty, but I have to be cautious. I have to find the others. My sixth sense is telling me that something really, really bad was about to happen.

Jay's P.O.V.

Did I get hit really hard in the head or what? It feels like my brain is mush. I can't even think of anything else but an image of my brain looking like mashed potatoes. It was a weird mental image, that's for sure. I opened my eyes and my vision clears after a while. I see that I'm in an empty room with 2 torches beside a...well, wall. There were no doors. Just...walls. I was starting to feel really claustrophobic.

After a couple of minutes of doing absolutely nothing, the 'wall' in front of me suddenly opened! Huh, I should've known. The Serpentine just loves to play tricks like that. The person, or may I say snake, was the Fangpyre General himself. I scoffed when he entered. Let's just say, I really, really not not like the Fangpyre tribe.

"I see you're awake," The head on the left said. "We were waiting for hours for you to wake up!" The other, um, head exclaimed. My eye twitched.

"Will you stop talking like that? That double-head thing is creeping me out!" I exclaimed. Fangtom looked down.

"Like we,"

"Could ever control it." They both sighed. "But we did,"

"Learn how to get used to it." I stared intently at them. I was...for the 1st time ever, sorry for them. I mean, how would I feel when I have two heads with 2 different...well, beings. I was then snapped out of my thoughts when I heard metal sliding toward me. I look down to see stale bread. I suddenly became hungry. I instinctively reached toward it, but then I was stopped by chains.

"How do you suppose I eat that? My hands are tied!" I scoffed. They (should I say they?) just laughed at me. Okay, they don't seem so pitiful anymore.

"I don't know,"

"Figure it out!" They both slid towards the door and pushed a button on the wall, (that's hardly noticeable) laughing all the way. Reminds me of that Christmas Song, what was it called again?

"One word, weird." I sighed and tried to eat my food, but it ended up being spilled all over the floor. I groaned and just gave up, sitting in the corner. I sighed. If Nya saw me now...Then I heard the wall open and I looked up. I smiled in relief when I saw a very familiar weird but lovable ice ninja.

"Zane!"

Cole's P.O.V.

"Skales. What a pleasant surprise!" I said in a mock tone. Skales just rolled his eyes.

"You're just lucky I can't kill you yet." He spat. I glared at him.

"Enough with the greetings, Skales. What are you doing to my brother?" I said, wanting to cut the conversation short. I'm not going to wait for the answer anymore. Skales scoffed.

"Brother, eh? That's what you call each other?" He mocked. "Well, then you have some brother of yours. That hot-headed fire starter keeps burning our stuff!" I chuckled. Good ole' Kai. He still has his normal ill-tempered attitude. Skales rolled his eyes.

"We learned to accept him the way he is, Skales. That's what brothers do." I said. Skales ignored me. "Now, can we not change the subject and focus on my question?"

"I don't need to say any more than you already know. You already know what we're doing with him. You probably even know why!" He exclaimed. "Why are you still asking?"

"Probably because I want to know what's exactly the answer." I snapped. He rolled his eyes.

"Well, you can't have exact information." He spat back and glared at me. "The time for the prophecy to be fulfilled is getting closer. And right now, I am in charge of what to do-"

"I bet you just love playing leader, huh?" Skales ignored me.

"—The one below me is Bosco." I raised my eyebrow and smiled in amusement.

"Bosco? Isn't that a bear's name?" I snickered. Skales just rolled his eyes.

"You have such a shallow mind." He said and decided to turn his back on me and leave. I smirked. Interview's over, time to find a way out. I pulled at the chains. I tried to focus and stomped on the ground but nothing happened. This...might take a little while.

Nya's P.O.V.

The moment I awoke, I heard Kai. I tensed, and opened my eyes the tiniest bit, so it still looks like I'm sleeping. I almost gasped. He wasn't talking to anyone. There was no one else in the room.

"I don't understand. Two different sides of me are fighting, and I don't know who's right anymore!" I heard him shout. I furrowed my eyebrows, though Kai didn't seem to notice.

"A voice inside me is saying that those people, that girl," Kai gestured to me. "Is my real family, but if that's true, why am I even here?" I almost gasped, but I just held my breath. Kai...What did the Serpentine do to him?!

"They are evil. We are merely showing them their place. I always was with them, and agreed with them. I just don't understand. I should trust them, but I had a hint of doubt. I was different than all of them. I always was." His memory...is lost? Is that one of the effects of the poison? Was he too far gone? I shook those thoughts out of my mind. He can't be gone. He won't be gone.

"But I do get bits and pieces of my memory every night, in my dreams. She's always there. One time, my sister...Nya," He said my name like he had never said it before, yet his voice is also soft and caring. He also released a gentle laugh after. I almost cried. It was the first time I heard his laughter since all this happened. I'm starting to wonder who he's talking to.

"She...she stole my teddy bear, because she had nightmares that night." I remember that. I giggled, and instantly Kai turned his head toward me. I widened my eyes.

"You're awake?" Kai asked, but it sounded more like a statement than a question. "I figured you already were." He said plainly. I instantly felt guilty for eavesdropping.

"You heard everything?" He asked. I nodded slowly. He sighed. "Figures." He muttered under his breath. I looked at him worriedly.

"Maybe I can help you with your problems." I suggested. He smirked in mockery.

"Why would you care? So you can get on my soft side? So you can trick me into getting you out of there?" He forced a laugh. I flinched. "I'm not that dumb."

"I wasn't implying you are." I impulsively said, which made him look at me with a raised eyebrow. "I'm not trying to trick you. I really do cared for you." He looked confused and weary.

"Why?" He asked me. I said the only answer I knew was right.

"You said it yourself, remember?" I said, making him raise an eyebrow. I decided to lighten the path. "I'm your sister." He shook his head sadly.

"If you're my sister, then why aren't you on my side?" He asked. A hidden question was said in his eyes. Why are you the bad guy? His question hit me like a bullet shot my heart. Did he really think that? I swallowed my doubt.

"I'm not really the bad guy, you know that?" I said, answering his secret question. Kai refused to look me in the eye. "Those Serpentine. They're tricking you. They're just lying!" I shouted. He became angered and flames appeared on his hands. He threateningly stomped over to me. I tensed, but didn't move.

"That's not true! They raised me well! Molded me into the character I am now!" He fought back. Tears started to gather in my eyes.

"Is that really the truth, Kai?!" I shouted. I sighed—letting all my stress out—before continuing. "They never raised you! They just gave you false memories so you'll fight with them."

"That's not true!" He screamed. Tears streamed down my face. "I already told you that I'm not dumb enough to believe you." I cried miserably as I watched him leave. I saw his own tears streaming down his face.

"WHY DON'T YOU BELIEVE ME, KAI?!" I shouted before he slammed the door. Once I was alone, I cried for hours. I can't believe he would say such a thing. His condition's getting worse and I don't think we can ever cure him anymore. I then fell asleep, a haunting dream forming in my mind.

No P.O.V. (Next part is a distant memory of Nya and Kai's)

A 6-year old Nya watched as a 13-year old Kai walked over to her, a frown on his face. Nya watched curiously as he gave a grunt and sat back down. He buried his head in his hands. Kai was tired from a hard day of work being a blacksmith, as it was the only way for them to earn money Ever since their parents died four months ago. Nya walked cautiously to him.

"Hey Kai?" She asked. Kai looked at Nya and raised an eyebrow, clearly annoyed. "Do you want to play tag with me?" She asked, big pleading blue eyes staring intently at stressed hazel ones.

"Not now, Nya." He said, trying not to look at her. Nya still had a smile on her face.

"Aw, come on Kai, it's gonna be fun—"

"I said not now!" Kai growled, scaring Nya. Kai buried his head on his lap, when he heard Nya crying. He looked at her, instantly guilty of his sudden outburst.

"Why don't you believe me, Kai?" She asked, wiping off the tears in her eyes with her small right hand. Kai knelt next to her, shushing her while he gently wiped the tears off her face.

"Hey, don't cry." He said, forcing a smile. Nya sniffed.

"I-I just wanted t-to have fun..." She muttered. Kai sighed. He shouldn't have pushed Nya like that. He didn't get snapped at when he was younger.

"Why don't I take you to the blacksmith shop, and teach you a thing or two about making an arrow?" He asked. Nya instantly perked up at the idea.

"Really?" She asked. Kai chuckled at his sister's enthusiasm.

"Yeah, really." He said. He gave Nya his most mischievous smile. "But you're gonna have to catch me first!" He said, before running away.

"Hey, no fair!' Nya shouted before running off after Kai. She couldn't help but giggle as they raced. The sun shone on them, and the heavens seemed to smile at the two children.

Kai quickly ran to his training area. The place where he would always go...where they always ordered him to go. He stomped over to the punching bag and hit it with all his force. He didn't care if he would break it again. For some reason, that girl delivered a very big impact on him.

Why did her words mean so much to him?

Other people who would say something like that to him—for instance, that black-haired guy—he would just ignore. He could easily shrug those topics off. But with that girl, he couldn't just shrug it off. He needed to use his entire focus just to get some of the words out of his mind.

Was it because she really was her sister? Or maybe because she was actually telling the truth? Nonsense. He thought. There's no way she would be telling the truth. His thoughts were interrupted when he heard a bell ring. He knew that signal all too well.

It's time. Time for the prophecy's fulfillment.

Hey guys! I AM SO, SO, SO, SO VERY, VERY, ULTIMATELY SORRY FOR THE LATE UPDATE. I just could never get time to update. You probably wouldn't wanna hear my excuses, huh? Well, I hope this extremely long chapter is worth the wait, because I myself am surprised of this 2,078 worded chapter (Not including Author's Note) is by far the longest chapter I've ever written.

Oh, and good news to most (if not all) of you when I say, OC's ARE OFF! Yup, the rest of the chapters I will write will seem as if my OC's were never there. I won't delete their chapters though so I won't forget them no matter what. Anyway, please review about what you think of this chapter and my decision! Please? I know you wanna!
