The last chapter presented us with a couple of new characters that have put in the story and the way Klaus and Hayley have each managed to get to known the North East Atlantic pack. Ryan, the current clan leader and the widow of his dead brother, Rosemary, as well as Mama Luna are the characters that we have introduced to. In this chapter, we will learn more about a plan that Ryan and Rosemary cook up to use the two hybrids, and we will focus more on the new conflict that Hayley and Klaus have going on because of Ryan.
In the meantime, Davina will finish up the spells she would need to bring back Finn and Kol Mikaelson which will result in a conflict between Elijah and Rebekah. With Davina in charge of the spells, Josh will be put in the position of taking care of Hope, which is not as easy as it may sound. Marcel and Rebekah will also talk about what Marcel is planning to get rid of the Guerra werewolves and Francesca Correa, and other characters will be introduced on this side of the story also. Be prepared for some heated conversations on both sides of the world.
Marcel smirked as he could feel her behind him, with her hands crossed over her chest. "What is it, now, Rebekah?" he asked and turned around with a smile on his face. "You know I don't like you turning your back at me and doing things on your own. I want to be informed. What will you do about Francesca and how will you get rid of her and her bloody mutts?" she asked as she stepped over in his room and drank some of his root beer. Marcel took her hand and whispered, "You just have to stay clear of Elijah and don't tell him a thing…yet." Rebekah smirked. "You and Davina, such childish games you are playing behind Elijah's back." "Please, don't tell me that Davina has already started her spells to bring back Kol and Finn. That is not something that can be useful to us." "Why not? What's the harm in wanting my family to be whole again? It is not the same without Finn or Kol and you know it. It will never be the same. They were both supernatural when they died and that's why Davina has the power to bring them back. They can help us. What more could you want?" He sighed and said to himself, "She is not going to like this." "What am I not going to like?" "I had to take precautions, Rebekah." She frowned, looking confused. "What precautions? What are you talking about? Marcellus, what did you do?" He pulled her down the hall to another room that was way in the back of the compound. Hardly anyone went there. Marcel pushed open the door and revealed to Rebekah what was inside. Rebekah at once made a face and exclaimed, "Oh no!" Her mate grinned at her and said, "Oh yes!"
Elijah walked past her room and saw perfectly well what she was doing. "Davina!" he called out as he entered the room with his hands in his pockets. The little witch gasped and she tried to hide the candles that she was preparing but with no luck. Elijah found them immediately and looked at them for one moment before whispering, "I thought I told you that you were forbidden to do this kind of magic in the compound." Davina crossed her hands over her chest. "I know that it is not the magic that bothers you, it's the fact that Rebekah talked me into bringing her brothers back. This is not something that you want! I want to know why." She told him, calmly. Elijah, gently, set down the candles and stepped closer to her. "I thought that I have made myself clear the moment I told you that Kol and Finn belong to the other side. They are not to return. They have brought only trouble in my life and in Niklaus'. I don't want them to interfere and I sure do not want them anywhere near my niece." Davina giggled. "I am actually more worried about Hope doing something to them other than them doing something to her." Elijah shook his head and said, "If you think that I am going to risk Hope's life for this madness, you couldn't be more mistaken. Just keep in mind that just because Niklaus isn't here, that does not mean that you are free to do as you wish. Marcel does not agree with the plan that you have cooked up with Rebekah and neither do I." Davina frowned and replied, "You try to remember that I am a witch, despite anything else and I am free to use my powers as I wish. That was the deal that you made with the witch coven after you and Klaus killed Genevieve and Monique. Francesca and the Guerras control the city now and the witch coven is on their side. I am the only witch you got on your side…so if you want to get the French Quarter free of Francesca, you best think twice before contradicting me again. I know what I am doing."
"May I remind you, that Hayley had asked you and Josh to take care of Hope while she was away?" Elijah tried a different tactic on her and Davina rolled her eyes. "Yes, and while I am doing this, Josh is taking good care of her. Don't make this about Hayley now, Elijah. Why don't you just admit that you are feeling pressed about the relationship she is developing with your brother now that she is a hybrid? That must be what is pissing you off so much lately. You haven't spoken to neither Klaus nor Hayley in a while." Elijah took a deep breath, trying to remain calm. "I do not care how Hayley spends her free time but do note that I care about that girl and I want her to be happy." "And what about your brother?" "I want Niklaus to be just as happy. I care about them both." "So, if they are happy together, you would let them be together?" "Where is this coming from?" "From nowhere. I am asking an innocent question. If it happens, are you sure you're ready to accept it?" "Hayley and I have reached different paths ever since she turned into a hybrid. She is not the girl that I once knew when she was a werewolf and pregnant, but that does not mean that I have stopped caring about her either way. I trust Niklaus. I know he cares just as much about her and he is not going to let anything happen to her." Davina set down her candles on the table and Elijah felt like he was done talking with her. He slowly walked towards the door and turned his head around to look at her. "Don't say I didn't warn you, Davina." He lastly whispered.
Hayley woke up in her tent and looked around, hearing the birds sing during this pleasant morning. She lifted herself up, changed her clothes and walked out of the tent, looking for the people. She saw from a distance, some wolves, heading towards deeper into the forest in their wolf forms. She frowned slightly and followed them. "Hayley, you're awake!" Ryan called out and scared the young hybrid as he came behind her. He offered her some fresh fruits to eat and she graciously accepted, even though what she was really hoping for was a blood bag. Her eyes wandered around and she noticed the wonderful view with the stones and the huge waterfall over cliffs. It was a breathtaking view. She spotted Klaus sitting on a rock and talking to Cary. That woman named Rosemary was also sitting next to him and it looked almost like she was admiring him. Hayley frowned and shook her head slightly before she turned her attention back to Ryan. He said, "I wish to take this day to get to know you better and Klaus also. You are my guests. Why don't we take a morning walk, just the three of us so we can talk? I also wish to introduce you to Mama Luna." "Mama who?" "Mama Luna. She is our most trusted witch. She has been taking care of us, providing safe locations where vampires would never find us, good food and other needs." "I see. I haven't heard of her. I doubt Klaus has." "Well then, all the more reason we should go and see her." Ryan said to her with a smile. Hayley returned it sweetly and looked back at the place where Klaus was now standing and he was getting very close to the widow, Rosemary. "Let me just get Klaus and we can go right now." Hayley suggested.
"I did hear about your miracle daughter. What is her name?" Rosemary was asking as she slid a cherry in between her lips. "Hope." Klaus whispered, suddenly remembering that it has been a while since he had last held her. He was busy with Hayley and he has been more influenced by his father's diary, to pay more attention to his pack than to his own daughter. He was slowly starting to realize it. Klaus lifted his head as Rosemary was asking him some more questions, having her hands on his shoulders but he was not hearing anything. He was deep in thought about what he was hoping to accomplish here. He saw her in the distance, standing and laughing with Ryan. Her eyes were glowing and Klaus couldn't remember the last time that he had seen Hayley glow. What was so special about this Ryan that had caught so much of her attention? The curiosity was taking the better of him as he continued to watch them talk when he heard Rosemary yelling at him. Klaus snapped out his trance and looked at her, uninterested in what she was saying. "I'm sorry, love. You were saying…?" Rosemary smiled and said, "What's on your mind? Really now…tell me." "Nothing and no one." Klaus responded swiftly and stood up but Rosemary stood up after him. "Hey, that diary that you found. The one that belonged to Titan, you father…can I see it?" she asked him and rubbed her hands together. Klaus frowned and turned towards her. "What for, love?" Rosemary gently shook her head and said, "I just want to know some things. He was after all, a legendary man…he was the greatest chief this clan has ever had…and he knew a lot about the clans and the rituals. I would like to read some of his entries." Klaus looked at her for one moment and thought about giving it to her when he felt her footsteps. Hayley stepped over to them with her strutted walk and her hands crossed over her chest.
"What is going on here?" she asked, clearly annoyed at the attentive looks that Rosemary was giving Klaus. The Original Hybrid just smirked and said, "I can see that you are in your usual foul mood, little wolf. Didn't get enough sleep last night?" "I'm a hybrid. I don't need sleep. What I need is blood." Klaus' smirk disappeared and his face was filled with concern as he began to notice how hungry she really looked. "When was the last time that you fed?" he asked her. She shook her head and said, "I think way before we left New Orleans." "You should have known better." "Oh, so now you care!" Hayley snapped at him. The fight they shared last night still reflected in both of their minds. He hadn't exactly yelled at her, but he had said things that Hayley knew she was never able to forgive him for. They got drunk again and slept together once more but that was no reason for him to rub it in her face and make her feel like all she knew were screwed up one night stands. And just because they slept together twice and have a child together, that did not give him the right to coordinate her life or make her someone that belonged to him. The memories from last night were in their minds, as Rosemary looked between them.
Klaus stepped even closer to her and whispered near her lips, his breath fanning her, making her go weak in the knees as he touched her waist gently. "He is using you, sweetheart. He needs to get something of mine to make me feel weak and exploit my weakness. We may have had just a one night stand…" "On of your things? I don't belong to you, Klaus! I am not your property!" Hayley pushed him away but he came right back. "That is not to what I was referring to. You are the mother of my child and therefore an important person in my life. He wants to get close to you, find out about me and other secrets. I do not trust him…and I don't seem to be the only one." Hayley looked at him in the eyes and gently shook her head. "I never thought that you would find it that hard to believe that a handsome guy might possibly be interested in me." Klaus growled and then started laughing at her comment. "Believe me, little wolf, you've showed me up many times with Elijah and Jackson both groveling at your feet and competing for your affection. You don't have to add more men to the list now." Hayley just shook her head at him and looked away but he grabbed her chin and made her look at him right back. "You listen to me carefully. Whatever you have going on with him…I will not be tolerating it while we are here. I will make sure this will be a brief visit. As soon as we can, we are getting out of here." Hayley looked into his eyes and saw something, something more like worry and before she could say something, he had dropped her chin and had left. She gasped and was left there breathless, with the wonderful bright moon above her.
"Is something going on here? Because if you have something to talk about, I can always go." Rosemary said all of a sudden and Hayley snapped, "Of course you should leave. This doesn't concern you." Rosemary bit her lip as Klaus growled. "I don't appreciate you treating the members of my pack this way, little wolf." "Who made you in charge?" Hayley fired back. Rosemary took a couple of steps back from Klaus and cleared her throat. "Klaus, can I still have that diary. I will give it back to you soon, I promise. I just need to check something. It's important for our pack." It looked more like she was desperate and Hayley was shocked the moment in which Klaus pulled out the diary from his coat and handed it to Rosemary. The redhead grabbed and it and slowly backed away from them. "She is allowed to look but I'm not?" the hybrid uncrossed her hands and tapped her foot in front of him. "She is family, Hayley." Klaus whispered, trying to remain calm. "And I am not family? I am the mother of your child!" "Yes that you are. And you know that you have my full attention and protection for that matter." Klaus responded. "And that's it?" "What else, little wolf?" She shrugged. "I don't know. I thought we were friends. I thought we would start to look out for one another." "You are a very important person in my life but don't think that it is not going to change if you continue with this distasteful attitude of yours towards the people that share my blood, love." "Last night you were trying to convince me that Ryan is using me. How much do you really trust your own blood? And what about the redhead? I see that you didn't need long to replace Genevieve. And this one happens to be a werewolf, not a witch. An improvement to say the least." "What are you talking about, love?" "You know what I am talking about. You're acting like such a hypocrite when you should be thinking about our daughter."
The last sentence had caught Klaus off guard as he stepped closer to Hayley and put his hand on her arm, rubbing it gently. "You believe that I have stopped caring or thinking about her? What I am doing here is for her. I need a pack. I need someone to trust me. I need to lead a pack in order for us to have any chance in taking down Francesca Gorrea." Hayley shook her head. "Klaus…you can't…" "I have to do this till the next full moon which will be in a couple of days." "To do this, you have to take over the pack!" Hayley protested. "And that is exactly what I will be doing. It's only a matter of time. I need my father's diary." "For what?" "You'll see." Klaus responded with a smile. "Klaus, you are not going to hurt Ryan. I won't allow you to. He is a good man." "You are mistaken if you think that your growing affections for him are going to stop me from making a move and taking back the throne that rightfully belongs to me. This pack is rightfully mine and New Orleans will soon be rightfully mine." Hayley looked at him intensely in the eyes for a moment before lowering her head and asking, "How much time is left until the next full moon?" "One week…and by then, I will make sure that I have a pack which will get straight to New Orleans." "To do what? You are going to risk their lives?" "I will not let that happen, love, I can assure you." "So you are going to battle Francesca's wolves, my former pack?" Klaus couldn't offer her a response, even though he knew perfectly well her point. "It was their decision to join Francesca. There is nothing that I can do about it now, love. I'm sorry."
"Klaus, they are my family. I can't do this to them. You are asking me to stand against them for something that you believe. Their beliefs are different. They believe that Francesca is the Queen that they were always hoping to have. I failed them the minute that I became a hybrid. I am no longer and never really was the Werewolf Queen, Andrea Labonair. I am Hayley Marshall." Klaus sighed and nodded, saying "Fine. I will think about it more carefully. Perhaps there is no need for the pack to go down with Francesca. I will make sure of it. In the meantime, you can do me a favor and stay away from Ryan. I will not have you and your smallest affection for him mess up what I am trying to do here with Cary." "I don't know what you're talking about!" Hayley argued. "I think you do, little wolf and I as a matter of fact, yes, I do care for you, which is why I am telling you to stay away from him. He is most likely using you to get something from me." "He accepted you here, despite your reputation and your history. How can you say that he's a bad man?" "Hayley, I know you. You latch onto the person who gives you the smallest bit of affection when you feel vulnerable, love and you…" "HOW DARE YOU!" Hayley screeched and pushed Klaus against a tree. There were gasps that could be heard all around the forest as people turned around to look at what was happening between the two hybrids. Klaus growled and grabbed Hayley's hands, pulling her together and keeping her in check. "Let go of my hands, Klaus." Hayley hissed. Klaus chuckled and whispered, "After your little stunt, sweetheart, I will do no such thing."
Ryan stepped over to them as the werewolves gathered around them. He pried Klaus' hands off of Hayley and said, "What the hell is going on here? The two of you are making a scene." The werewolves started going their own ways but they were still watching Klaus and Hayley surprised and some of them even scared. "If you continue this way, I will have no choice but to ask you to leave, Klaus. You are scaring my people." Ryan told him. "I believe the correct term would be our people, lad." "What?" Ryan asked him, confused. "It is our people that we are talking about here not just yours. I am a part of the pack and I am the son of Titan!" Hayley came over to him and placed a hand on his shoulder, whispering in his ear, "Stop now." Ryan raised an eyebrow and responded, "I know very well who you are, Klaus. That is the only reason that I have accepted the apology you have offered us for your past and we are allowing you to stay here in our forest." "Klaus, I need to feed." Hayley insisted before Klaus could open his mouth and say something anger. "Not in my forest! I will not have anyone drained of his blood!" Ryan snapped at her when he heard her. "Fine! Let's go, Klaus!" The two hybrids left the forest as fast as possible, Klaus ragging mad and Hayley doing her best to catch up with him. She was tired of having arguments with him. But she got in this mess the moment she decided to follow him to Maine. She had to face the consequences, while she missed her child. Were Josh and Davina taking good care of her? Klaus was going fast enough and Hayley finally caught his arm. "Please, wait!" His eyes were flaring with anger. "You want to stay by my side as my ally, you better start acting like a true warrior and a true hybrid, otherwise, you're out!" he told her. Hayley was shocked. "What do you mean?" she asked in barely a whisper. He stopped and turned around to face her again. "I mean…if you dare show signs that you're turning towards Ryan and against me, our partnership is over, little wolf! I hope I've made myself clear!" he left her standing there confused and in shock at what she just heard.
"What happened between them?" Rosemary asked Ryan as they were watching the two hybrids depart. "I can feel it coming closer. He is going to challenge me when the moment is right. We are not friends and we will never be." "What are you so worried about?" "That I am most likely going to lose, Rose. I am no hybrid. I can't compete with him. He will knock me down flat. Even if we both turn wolves and fight. He will still have the part vampire advantage over me." She smirked as she held the diary in her hand. "Well, I have been getting close to him, as you asked and I got the diary." Ryan looked surprised but pleased. "How did you convince him to give it to you?" "A little persuasion and seduction, something that Hayley girl clearly didn't enjoy watching. Does she have a thing for him?" "Of course not. He is just the father of her child. He infuriates her. At least, that is what I got from when we talked." "You have been getting closer to her, have you not?" "Yes, I have and I think that she can be very useful to me. She holds everything I need to know about Klaus. Every single detail of his weaknesses, about their daughter, everything I need to use against him if necessary." "But you can't kill him. Mama Luna said that we need him!" Rosemary protested. "I know what she said. Don't worry. I know she has another way…and I'll be waiting for it. That hybrid will not live long enough after we're through with it." Rosemary played with her curly hair as she giggled and said, "And what then? What happens to Hayley?" Ryan shrugged and offered her a grin. "You know how I've always been looking for a Queen. She is the last Labonair, the true birth Queen of the Crescents. She is fit to be my mate." "A hybrid? Are you crazy? She can't offer you heirs, Ryan! You're ridiculous." "She already has a child that we can raise together." "Not your blood." "Maybe Mama Luna will be able to do something about it. Don't worry about it, Rose. It will turn out just the way we want it to." Rosemary sighed as she played with the diary. "For your sake, I hope so."
Rebekah wondered around the room with her hands on her face as she saw the bodies that were lying in the room. "Marcel, what did you do to them?" she asked suddenly. "What do you think? In a few hours, they are going to wake up in transition. They'll be vampires. This is what we need, Rebekah, don't you get it?" "Elijah is going to kill you for this." Marcel rolled his eyes to the back of his head. "He doesn't like Davina's plan and he doesn't like mine, yet he is doing nothing to stop Francesca and the wolves." "Because he made a solemn promise to Hayley that he wouldn't lay a hand on them. Just because they joined Francesca, those wolves are still her family, Marcel." "And what's the problem? Why doesn't he just let me create a vampire army that is going to make her werewolf army more insecure than it already is? We can catch Francesca alone without her mutt pals and we kill her. It's as simple as that." "Werewolves are not like vampires, Marcel. Werewolves are faithful. They are not going to abandon their Queen." Rebekah argued. "But she is not their Queen. Hayley is…and they simply needed a replacement the moment Hayley became a vampire." "So why don't we just convince them that Hayley is s still a Labonair and her being a hybrid doesn't change her birthright." "Yeah that would be fine…but seeing as neither she nor Klaus are here right now…I am not wasting time. Hope's life is at stake here. Francesca also has the witches on her side. If they see Hope as a threat to their coven, they will come for her. I don't know how we can protect her if we don't have an army that can help us." "You are thinking ahead of this. I am dead serious, Marcel. If Elijah finds out…" Marcel sped over to her and placed a finger to her lips, stopping her from talking. She looked down at the finger on her lips and felt something coming over her, something that she hadn't felt since their little vacation. From the way he was looking at her, he could feel that coming over him too. "Let them stay here…and let's head somewhere more…private." Rebekah smirked and pushed his finger away from her lips. "That is not going to happen. Not after this."
Marcel groaned, knowing that she was teasing him. He pulled her back to him and crashed his lips against hers in a kiss she was accepting fully. Rebekah could hear the door close and she was being pushed on the couch in that room. Marcel growled as he kissed her neck hungrily and her clothes were coming off faster than ever. Marcel was left without a shirt, kissing his way down to her stomach and pulling her pants off, leaving her in her panties and bra. "Here?" she asked, shocked but with a smile on her face as she tried to sit up but Marcel pushed her back on the couch and continued kissing her neck. "Right here." He responded and filled her with pleasure. "But…bodies…here." She managed to whisper the words as she moaned at the kisses filling up on her sweet spot on her neck. "Let them be here. I am not waiting to move to another room." He whispered as he placed more kisses against her skin, making her arch her back and her eyes rolled to the back of her head. Just as he was about to undo her bra, the door opened the Rebekah and Marcel pulled away from one another. Elijah was standing there, his eyes showing nothing but shock at what he was seeing. The two lay naked on a couch, in a room full of dead bodies. "What is going on here? Marcel, what is this?" Elijah asked. Marcel slid on his pants and put on a shirt as Rebekah did her best to cover herself up to. Elijah turned around and rubbed his forehead. Marcel put a hand on his shoulder, smiling and said, "I have found a solution to our problem."
After Rebekah managed to put on her clothes, she could barely look Elijah in the eye from embarrassment. "Marcel, please go over it once more. Explain to me why you killed these innocent people." Elijah growled at him. "Relax! They have volunteered for this, for the transition. They have chosen to become vampires and this is the solution to our problems. When they wake up, they will complete the transition and you are going to help me train them." "Train them? For what?" "To take down the Guerras. This is what we want, don't we?" "Not like this. I am not going to attack Hayley's pack, Marcel!" Rebekah stepped over in the conversation and said, "Elijah, we don't have to do that. We just have to get Francesca out of their lives so they can start seeing clearly again. They are too possessed by those rings that she and the witch coven have offered them. Hayley is their Queen. They will see that when we overpower Francesca and get rid of the rings." Elijah frowned and whispered, "Marcel, would you leave me to speak to my sister alone, please?" Rebekah nodded in agreement and let him go. "What is going on with you, sister? I thought that you could see clearly but I was wrong." "You were not wrong. Believe me, Elijah, I have been struggling to understand Marcel's plan and I think he is right." "Due to his seductive persuasion, I presume." Rebekah closed her eyes tightly, ashamed that Elijah caught them in that position and shook her head angrily. "No, it has nothing to do with that! Just listen to us. Stop being so selfish, Elijah!" "I am keeping a promise here, Rebekah. I won't go back on my word."
"What Hayley needs right now is for us to find a way to get rid of the Guerras before the next full moon in which they will drain our brother of his power once more. He is nowhere to be found and he hasn't told us where he and Hayley were going. Hope needs to be safe. Try to understand that this is the only way." Elijah shook his head as he stared at the bodies that were laying limply on the floor, waiting to wake up. "This is inhumane." "They wanted to." "How could these humans want this? How?" "I guess we will learn when they wake up. We better prepare some blood bags. They will have to complete the transition now or they will die. We can't undo this. What's done is done. The only thing we can do is use this to our advantage and create ourselves a vampire army to take down Francesca's reign over this bloody city." Elijah continued to stare at the bodies that we laid down on the ground in the room as Rebekah picked up some pieces of clothes that were left on the floor and left the room. Elijah sighed and was prepared to leave the room when he felt a hand grab his leg. He turned around in shock and looked down to see a young woman looking up at him. She had olive skin, dark brown curls tumbling over her shoulders. Her eyes were a soft color of brown and she was looking up with him with pleading eyes. Eyes that begged him to help her. She was the first one who was now in transition.
Davina continued to work on her spell in the room when the door burst open and Josh walked inside with a crying Hope in his hands. "I'm sorry, but I really can't get the hang of it. I don't know what I should do about it. How do you make this baby stop crying already?" Davina frowned but her eyes widened at once and she stood up. "You can't hold her like that! Hayley is so going to kill you when she gets home." She went over and took Hope in her arms. "Easy there. It's okay." Davina whispered, trying to calm down the baby but she wouldn't stop crying. "She sure gets after Klaus." Josh mumbled under his breath. Davina smiled at him but before she could say anything, the ground began shaking, as the baby wouldn't stop crying. "EARTHQUAKE!" Josh yelled and ducked, as Davina tried to keep Hope protected from anything falling. "It's not an earthquake." Davina said as she ducked down with Hope too. "WHAT?" "I SAID IT'S NOT AN EARTHQUAKE! IT'S HOPE!" The baby continued to cry as the ground continued to shake, making Josh get weak in the knees. "DAVINA, DO SOMETHING!" he suddenly yelled out and she closed her eyes, trying to focus on a spell that she could use to stop this. "MatrisignoscesPro pueropeccatorum.Prohibereet libera nosdepotentiis.Nolitejustitiamterræmotuetpacemnobis.Monstranobispax! Monstranobis pacemnunc!" She said quietly to herself. The ground stopped shaking and Josh sighed in relief as Hope stopped crying as well. Marcel and Rebekah ran inside at once as Davina rocked Hope in her arms. "What is going on here?" Marcel demanded. "It was Hope. She was crying and the ground started shaking." Davina explained. "What does that mean?" Rebekah asked. "It means…that she is starting to grow in witch abilities, which does not keep her safe." Rebekah turned to Marcel. "The witches are going to sense it. If we are going to take on the Guerras, it should be before the next full moon." "The vampires need time to be trained, Rebekah." "And I am sure you and Elijah will find time to do that, but as quickly as possible."
Elijah stared down at the woman who had grabbed a hold of his leg and he bent down next to her, and used his fingers to hold up her chin. "How much do you remember?" he asked her. She breathed in and out and whispered, "All of it." Elijah sighed and grabbed a hold of her arms, helping her to stand up. The girl's legs were a bit shaky and she nearly fell back onto the ground, but he caught her. "Easy. It's going to take some time to adjust to the way your body is responding." The girl looked at him in the eyes and whispered, "Who are you?" When he didn't answer, she asked, "Are you with Marcel?" "Yes. My name is Elijah." He told her with a small smile as he such passion and curiosity in her eyes that he had not seen in someone in a long time. "What is your name?" he asked her and she whispered, "Gia." "It is a pleasure to meet you. You need to complete the transition in order to become a vampire." He helped her down on the couch and he sat down next to her. "What does that mean?" "It means that you need to drink the blood of a human. I'll be right back." Elijah went out and using his vampire speed, he was back with a blood bag in seconds. Gia looked amazed as she watched him. "How did you do that?" "I am a vampire. You inquire many skills ergo abilities. Speed, agility, strength…and the hunger for blood is bigger than you could possibly imagine." He handed her the blood bag as she looked at it, distastefully. "The first step is to complete the transition by drinking the blood of a human." Elijah repeated himself. "What if I don't?" Gia asked, stubbornly to which Elijah couldn't help but smile at her.
"If you don't, you will die within hours. Now that you have applied, there is no going back. You either complete the transition or you die. It's your choice." Elijah explained and Gia eyed him carefully. "How do you know I haven't already made my choice when I told Marcel that I want to come here and train and to become a vampire for the community?" "I don't. Have you?" "Of course. I wouldn't be here now, would I?" Gia responded with a small smile as she looked down at the blood bag and gently started sipping the blood. Her eyes never left his as she sipped the blood directly from the bag. The fascination that Elijah was feeling towards this girl was unimaginable and as he suspected, he couldn't stop looking at her. She was brave, fearless, tough…but he could feel her. Something must have happened in her life, something that made her want to turn to the dark side, something to make her want to get rid of her humanity. Someone was at the door and cleared his throat, making Elijah break his eye contact with Gia and stand up. Marcel was there and he smiled as he saw the girl drinking blood, therefore, completing the transition. "So, I see you gave it some thought after all." Marcel said. "I didn't really have a choice. I was not going to let her die, Marcel. Now, why don't you fill me in on your plan?" Elijah said, as he rubbed his chin. "Simple. Train them and take on the wolves, leaving Francesca unarmed so we can eliminate her from our lives and this city." Gia was already showing her pupils dilated and her fangs were out. The transition was complete and she regained the color on her face. "I think I'm putting you in charge of Gia's training." "Why me?" Elijah asked. "I have my reasons." Marcel responded with a smirk, before leaving the room.
