Chapter 8: Confiteor Confessus

I turn to look at the creature then again at Santana. "You can see him?" Santana looks at me her eyes wide as she nods her head slowly. "Oh. Well I don't know what he is but he protected me."

She looks from me to the creature whose mouth widens and sharp teeth are shown. She jerks back and shoots it a look. Emotion flickered in its eye. Mirth. It was smiling. "That is a creepy-ass smile." I nod my head and its lips close over its teeth. "How?"

Somehow I knew she was asking a million questions with that one word. "I don't know. Sue said I don't have enough control to see them let alone control the manifestation." She just looks at me. "My power, I can imagine things and they come true. That's the easiest way to explain it. I guess he is from my imagination." I can barely remember a childhood of drawings and imaginary friends. One friend, this one right here used to look a lot more childlike and fatter. "He protected me from the blast." Santana's eye darken with emotion. The creature as if sensing this tilts its head and sticks it's tongue out. The oddity of it causes Santana to snort in amusement and the creature's grin widens showing a sharp row of teeth.

Santana shifts and seems to realize that she is naked. She lets out a sound of anger as she clutches the shirt and coat to her. She raises her eyebrows at us in a fashion that reminds me of Quinn yet is completely different than Quinn's. Quinn arches hers in a way that set fluttering off in my stomach and lets me know she is silently curious yet amused. Santana's is much in 'What are you waiting for.' gesture. I turn around and the creature follows my movement.

I stare at it as it looks at the wall. It stands maybe seven feet tall has a lean muscular body that appear strong yet slim. It stood on two legs and had long strong arms that had sharp claws the color of obsidian. Bright orange scales adorn its features except for a pale orangish pink chest, stomach and palms of it's hands. It's eyes are a soft hue of orange with tinges of pink. Instead of a round pupil it had the slits of a cat. They were full of intelligence. It stares right back at me.

Santana stomps past us and I follow her wondering what she is going to do. She spins on her heels when my foot sounds across the floor. "Give me some space Berry!" I flinch and take a reflexive step back. "God. Can you quit following me around like a puppy for five minutes?"

Without giving me time to say anything she marches over to the locker room and slams the door shut. "I'm guessing she doesn't want me in there." A snort comes from the creature behind me. "Do you think she'll be alright?" It just shrugs and I let out a huff. "I am talking to an imaginary creature." A low rumble sounds behind me but I ignore it as I sit down outside of the locker room. Santana had clung to me when she realized I wasn't dead, so why was she being so standoffish? I sigh in frustration. "Now I understand why guys say girls are so complicated. First Quinn goes all weird on me and now Santana." The creature lets out another snort of amusement before it crouches down beside me. "Why are you still out here?" It shrugs it's shoulders in a very human like gesture. "So what do I call you." It huffs again as if annoyed. It's wrist moves in what would be consider stealthy if the rest of it's body wasn't so still. I catch it's wrist without thinking about the consequences of grabbing a huge half reptilian dragon like creature. It wore a leather wrist band and written across it in sloppy child handwriting is Harry. "Is your name Harry?" It huffs and looks away. Its jaw clenches and I release it's wrist. "Can you not talk?" Again it just shrugs it's shoulders. It seems to understand my English pretty well.

I let out another sigh of frustration. We sit in silence for fifteen minutes and still Santana does not come out. Usually she took pretty quick showers. Another five minutes pass by and I stand up. The creature looks at me before it stands up also. I wave my hand at it and with an annoyed huff it steps away from the locker room door. I open the door and walk through, shutting it before the creature, Harry, can follow me through it. Sounds echo around the room and I tilt my head in confusion before I recognize the sounds. It was sobbing. Deep, sad, tormented sobbing. "Santana?" Her name is whispered out of my mouth like any loud noise could break her.

She looks up at me from the floor. She is dressed but clings to a towel. "What do you want?" Her voice is hoarse and she tries to sound harsh but only manages to sound like a broken child. "Leave me alone."

I kneel down in front of her. "Santana."

I didn't even get to finish my sentence. "I said leave me alone!" Her voice cracks and she shoves past me. I move to follow her but she practically sprints down the hallway and shuts the elevator before I can get on it. The creature stands behind me like a silent guardian. Or a stalker. Finally the elevator comes back down and I get on. The time seems to take an agonizingly slow pace before finally I make it to the ground level floor.

I make my way up the stairs and catch the tail end of a conversation. "So, do you want to watch a movie? Just you and me together." Sam's voice is nervous and I can picture him fiddling with his back pocket as I continue to walk up the stairs. "Like a date." He finishes his sentence and that ugly feeling from earlier explodes in my body. Harry looks up at me from where he, I think it's a he, is trying to stealthily crawl up the stairs without being seen.

I make it to the second floor and my body has a war within itself. Go kill Sam for trying to ask Quinn on a date or go check on an emotional unbalanced friend who almost killed me. Last minute Santana won out. Some part of me was being extremely petty. Quinn ignored me so why shouldn't I ignore her? I walk straight past the and a hand catches my elbow. I recognize the long nimble fingers and soft palms. The raised rough skin from a long scar on the palm scratches against my skin as it always does. I turn to catch Quinn's eye. "Are you alright Rachel?"

The anger and ugly feeling seems to melt away and I smile at her. "Yeah."

Her eyes flicker to a door behind me. "Santana rushed through in a hurry. I was worried."

I can see the anger and worry in her eyes. "She didn't do anything Quinn. She is just upset a bit."

Her eyes flash. "She almost killed you Rachel." Her jaw clenches. "I could kill her for coming that close."

Quinn had always been a hothead and taken on the protector role with ease. "I am alive Quinn. She didn't mean to." She opens her mouth. "No." My eyes flicker to Sam's prone form as he watches us. His head is tilted to the side and his eyes are narrowed in confusion. "If Sam hadn't have come around when he did, she wouldn't have exploded. He made her powers go crazy."

She take in a deep breath through her nose and her nostrils flare. Before she can let that breath out and begin her argument I turned around with an apology on my lips. "Sorry." We were both stubborn people and this tiny argument could lead to a huge fight and I did not want to argue or fight with Quinn. "I gotta go."

I move to open the door to Santana's room but it is locked. "Santana?" I received no answer. "Open the door."

I heard a knob turn but it wasn't to Santana's room, it was to one that was rarely used. It was Brittany's bedroom door. "Rachel?" She looks at me her eyes are sad. "She won't open it for me either. Usually she needs time by herself but she always lets me in." Her eyes travel to the door.

We both wait outside of it for hours. Brittany's fingers spark as she taps them against her knees. Her shoulder bumps into mine and she lays her head on my shoulder as she lets out a sad sigh. Her eyes flicker to the door again before someone yells for dinner. Dinner was an awkward affair. It began with the other asking about Santana. Cassandra, or Cassie as the others called her, told everyone that Santana was just sick. Half the kids believed her and the other half didn't. Sam had taken the seat on Quinn's left and I had taken the seat to her right. He was a very loud and very touchy person. To gain Quinn's attention he brushed his fingers against her arm or nudged her with his foot. I had left the creature, Harry, in the hallway. No one seemed to pay attention to him.

"So, Quinn, about that movie." He had and easy yet nervous grin on his face.

"I don't know Sam. I don't really feel like movies." Quinn shifted uncomfortable and her voice held an awkward tint to it but I ignored it, trying to make that feeling flooding my system go away. I could feel things moving and fighting against the cages and shields in my head.

"That's alright, maybe we could play games or go to one of the lakes out back an-." I interrupt his excited jabbering.

"Could you quit talking for one minute Sam? Just drop the subject." My voice is harsh and I glare at him. Everyones eyes turn to me. I had never been openly mean or harsh to anyone, that was usually Quinn's department to yell at people, mainly Puck.

Quinn's expression is shocked yet there is a hint of something under there. I grab my plate. "I'm tired." Without another word I head upstairs. I check on Santana's door again and find it still locked. "Santana?" I receive no answer so I wait a minute before heading to my bedroom. Harry follows me the whole time and briefly I wonder how no one has seen him yet. He stares at the other bed in the room before sitting down on top of it. His eyes are closed so I change and crawl into bed. Twenty minutes later I hear the door open.

I relax my muscles as best I could and closed my eyes. I hear shuffling of clothing before the bed dips. Quinn lays down behind me but instead on pulling me into her like she normally does, she stays away about an inch or two. After a few minutes she shifts closer and pulls me into her. I curl into her body instinctively without my consent. Her arms curl around me as my body is formed around hers. Her cheek rests on the top of my head as my head lays on her shoulder. She lets out this ragged sigh and I feel something wet land into my hair and soak them barely. Her chest heaves just enough to be noticeable because I am awake.

I bit my lip and close my eyes against the tears that wish to escape. Quinn rarely cried but when she did it was heartbreaking. The sight of such sorrow and they way she cried could make an assassin, or a murder cry. Her hands fist into my shirt and I wrap my arms tighter around her, still faking sleep. Her sobs slow and quiet before they cease. I lay awake and think before I finally fall asleep.

"Por favor." The voice is broken as the area surrounding me blurs. I close my eyes and focus on that voice. "Mami!" My eyes force themselves open and I am at what looks like a park. Bodies are everywhere, some burnt and some missing body parts. In the midst of it stands a little girl who has a blanket clutched around her body.

I step closer and the little girls eyes meet mine. They are terrified and full of tears. "Hey. What's wrong?"

Tears leak out of her eyes and I crouch down next to her. "I woke up and everyone was like this. I can't find my mami."

She looks to be about eight and is Latina. Those dark brown eyes are strikingly familiar. "Santana?"

Her eyebrows furrow as does her nose in confusion. "How do you know my name? Who are you?!"

I move to set my hand on her shoulder. She jumps back. "Santana. It's alright. This is just a dream. I'm Rachel remember?"

The eight year old slowly morphs into an older version, maybe ten. "No. What's going on?"

The place is new. It changed, we are no longer at the park. We are in a forest, trees are burnt to a crisp and animals lay dead and steaming. "Santana. None of this is real. It is just a dream."

Slowly the girl in front of me matures until she is the Santana I know. The blanket is still clutched around her and we are standing in the training room. "No, you don't get it. This isn't a dream. These are my memories. Some of them." Screaming fills the air as the park we were first at explodes to our left. Crying sounds from our right as a forest explodes. There are many other places between the two that are left dark. "My own personal hell reliving these moments."

"Why are you doing this to yourself?" I step closer to her and she takes two steps back.

She gives me a sad smile. "I'm not doing this to myself. This is what happens when I sleep alone. Memories come to haunt me."

I barely contain myself from taking another step closer. "Why are you sleeping alone then? Brittany is worried about you."

She clenches her jaw. "Because I deserve this. I killed all those people. I caused all that pain. I should die for what I've done but instead I live after every explosion! I don't deserve to be comforted by Brittany."

My own jaw clenches at her reasoning."Santana y-"

"No. Just go Rachel. I almost killed you, I don't need your comfort." She sighs. "Just go, the memories are about to get worse." She pulls the blanket tighter around her shaking frame. The room increases in heat until I am sweating. "Wake up now and leave my dreams." The world begins to fade and I struggle to stay in it. I fight against the pushing Santana is doing. She is trying to shove me out of her mind, out of her dreams and slowly as I struggle to stay in she pushes me out.

I awake with a gasp of pain. Being shoved out of someplace you are trying to stay in hurt. My brain pushes against my skull in pain and Quinn jumps out of sleep, her arms circling around me. "Rachel?"

Her skin slips against mine, the sweat coating me making it hard for her to keep a firm grip. "I'm okay, just. It was just a dream."

She pulls me tighter against her as I shake. My brain is trying to catch up to the fact that I am no longer in the dreamscape. The air chills me as it touches my sweat soaked skin and I shiver. My body is hot but the sweat is cool. "Your shaking Rachel. What happened?"

"Cold. The air is cold." She pulls me tighter into her embrace and the blanket is pulled over us. Harry watches from the other side of the room. Standing at full height surveying the room for threat. Finding none, Harry comes over to crouch near the side of the bed. His hand comes up to brush across my forehead. My headache is soothed as his cool palm comes in contact with my fevered skin. "I need a shower." Quinn laughs as she gets out of bed.

She hovers around me as I stand up and grab some clean clothing. She follows me out the door, as does Harry. I head straight for Santana's door and pound on it. I hear the bed creak after twenty seconds of non stop knocking. I listen closely and a sigh is released somewhere in the room before the bed creaks again. Quinn stares at me before following me to the bathroom. "What was that about?"

I wrinkle my nose as I pull off my sweat soaked shirt. "She needed to wake up."

"Were you in her nightmare Rachel?" I advert my eyes but she knows me well. Catching my eyes she pulls my chin around with her fingers. "This is not safe Rachel. It is dangerous to enter each-other dreams."

"It is fine Quinn." She lets out a huff before she closes her eyes and takes a deep breath.

"It is not safe Rachel. Look at you right now. You were shaking when you woke up." Her eyes plead with me.

"It usually never like that. She just forced me out of her dream." That catches her attention.

"How did she force you out of her dream?" Her muscles stiffen but the fingers around my chin remain lax and soft against my skin.

"She just did. She didn't want me to see anymore." I shrug my shoulders.

Her other hand comes up to sit on my left shoulder. "At least we agree on something. We need to talk to someone about keeping you two out of each other's dreams." I open my mouth to argue. "No Rachel. It looks dangerous. Please."

I sigh. "I need to take a shower." Her hand drops off of my shoulder in defeat and I head to the shower. I enter the cubicle like shower and strip my bra and underwear off once I shut the door. I turn on the water and can barely make out Quinn's sigh. I close my eyes tightly and let the water beat down on my face.

I finish in the shower and grab my towel. Quinn was slumped against the wall with Harry staring at her. I get dressed and walked over to Quinn. I shake her shoulders and she blinked her eyes open. She pulls herself up using the wall. "What time is it?"

I look around before I find a clock. "Four forty-five."

She lets out a groan. "Lets go get something to eat. We have to get up before five thirty anyways."

She leads the way to the room and I follow her quietly. She pulls on some sweat pants and we head down stairs. We both pull out some cereal and begin to eat it in silence. We sit in silence for twenty minutes before feet sound on the floor. Brittany had red rimmed eyes and her hair is frazzled. She makes herself a bowl without saying a word and eats it silently. I turn around a spot Harry shoving one off his giant hands into the cereal box. He sniffs the contents in his hand before stuffing them in his mouth. The two blondes have yet to see him and I wonder if only Santana and I can see him.

His face scrunches up and he coughs out the cereal, the box falls off the counter and the two blondes jump and turn around. Harry smiles at me sheepishly while the two look on in confusion. I hop off my stool and pick up the box. I place it back in the cabinet. Brittany finishes her bowl and drops it in the dishwasher. She grabs an apple and runs upstairs, seconds later she comes back down and looks at us. "Sue said we had to be there be 5:50 today." I look at the clock on the wall. It was 5:30.

"We still have twenty minutes." Brittany frowns at me. "We can go down now if you want?" I pose it as a questions and she smiles before dragging us down to the elevator and into the locker room. She strips with no qualms and pulls on her training suit. Briefly I think of X-Men and snort. I guess we were sort of like the X-Men which was weird. Did Sue get ideas from X-Men or did someone make X-Men based off of ideas from Sue?

Brittany drags us to the training room and the door opens. I freeze in shock. The entire room is completely clean. There is no evidence of what happened in here yesterday. "Sue said I had to work on my aim." She doesn't even give us a warning before typing something into the side panel in the room.

Balls begin to fly at us and shocked I hold up my arms and flinch. Nothing hits me. Standing in front of me is Harry, who is currently glaring at Brittany. Another ball comes flying at me and Harry catches it midair before throwing it down. Growls leave his chest. Quinn begins to dodge everything, using her latent cheer-leading abilities. Brittany has electricity flowing around her, frying all the balls and frisbees. "Are you crazy Brittany?! We did not sign up for this! I thought we were just going to spare."

Brittany's usually carefree eyes are hard and angry as she fries everything coming at her. Harry's clawed hand latches onto me and pulls me away from Brittany. She doesn't look like she is here anymore. "Quinn?"

Quinn comes running over to me. "I don't think we should have come down here with her. She is a bit out of it Rachel." Quinn's muscles quiver as she stands next to me.

Suddenly the balls stop and Brittany stands, electricity flashing through her eyes and bouncing around her skin. "You three are unauthorized to be down here!" Sue voice fills our ears as she walks in the room. "Today was just suppose to be a sparing day! The three of you do a hundred laps now!"

I open my mouth to argue but Quinn shakes her head. "She will give us more. I've had coaches like her before." I sigh and begin to run alongside Quinn. Brittany is already ahead of us, her long legs giving her an advantage. Harry looks at me running and snorts before sitting down, bright eyes following my every movement. The others file into the room, all except for Santana.

The other watch us run and my breathing begins to come in pants after the fiftieth lap. Finally we finish. 100 laps around the room was two miles. We were done in a little under fourteen minutes, Brittany done a few minutes before Quinn and I. We had always run fast but Sue loved to make everyone run. She wanted a mile in five minutes and two miles in ten. No one had accomplished that yet other than Matt who ran in dog form. "Alright, pairing you all up!" She grins. "Pierce and Motta. Jones and Hummel. Chang and Rutherford. Male Chang and Hudson. Karofsky and Flanagan. Evans and Berry." My body stiffens. "Puckerman and Fabray" I turn to look at Quinn. No good can come from Sue's pairings. "Abrams needs to work on his laps since Lopez isn't here."

She stares at us and Sam comes over to me. Sue narrows her eyes at us looking for any mistake. Cassandra comes in and her grin widens when she sees who my partner is. She whispers to Sue and Sue rolls her eyes. "Hi. Your Rachel right?" He gives me an easy grin and I am fighting so hate right now on whether to hate him or not. I don't say anything and he gives me a nervous grin. "How do we do this?" I lunge at him and he jumps back eyes wide as he just barely dodges my fist. "Umm. What are you doing?" I sweep his legs out from underneath him and catch a snort from Harry at Sam's question. I hear a grunt of pain and turn my head to see Puck clutching his nose and cursing. Quinn glares at him before moving in again, Puck uses her momentum to flip her onto her back and she slides her leg under his foot and he trips before falling onto his side. He curses some more.

Neither of the two women do anything and Quinn lunges at Puck, her fist connects with his face again and I hear Cassandra laugh. "Ten more minutes then switch."

Sam looks at me like a lost puppy before his eyes flash back to Quinn. He jumps away from me and I growl in frustration. "Fight back!"

He ducks and suddenly my head feels like it is going to explode. The air cools and I spot Quinn clutching the floor. Brittany has sparks flying around her. Sugar's arms shakes as drops of liquid the color of drip off of them, the floor sizzles from each drop. I grip my head and Harry surges forward. He slams Sam into the floor, growling. Suddenly our powers are cut of. Harry looks at me in shock as his body begins to dematerialize. As he vanishes my head flares in pain. Sam looks at everyone. Beiste stands in the doorway. "Get back to work! No powers!" Sue barks at us and I force myself off the ground, my head protests and I feel empty. I continue to fight Sam and then switch partners. The time flies by.

The clock reads eight when we head into the bathroom. Every takes showers and then head to breakfast. Beiste still has our powers shut of and I feel empty. Like a piece of me is gone. I keep searching for Harry but never see him. I had grown used to him in that small period of time he was visible.

We head to the living room and Schue begins to teach us. Most of us don't pay attention. Brittany stares at her hands constantly. Her fingers twitch yet no electricity comes out. The day passes relatively fast and still Beiste hasn't given us our powers back. Dinner is called and I am brought out of my thought. How can I feel so empty?

I walk into the dining room and see Santana sitting next to Brittany. She won't look anyone in the eyes and briefly I wonder if she is only down here because Beiste cancelled everyones powers out. Dinner goes by without a hitch, slowly but surely Beiste gives a person their power back one by one. When mine come back I sigh in relief. Harry appears and rushes over to me. He looks me up and down before looking around the room. He growls at Beiste but stay where he is. His hand on the back of my chair.

Dinner ends and Santana moves to run up the stair. Brittany follows after her until Sue calls her over. I decide to go after her only to find Santana in Cassandra's arms. "Let me go!"

"Not until you get your head out of you ass!" Cassandra sounds exasperated. "Deal with what happened and quit hiding. You are a coward!"

"They shouldn't act like nothing happened." Santana screams at Cassandra. "She shouldn't act like nothing happened! They should hate and fear me! I almost killed Rachel."

"Why are teenagers so melodramatic now?!" I wait behind the corner and Harry looks at me then at the other two I am listening to. "Rachel trusted you and locked herself in the room. She was fucking idiotic for doing that but it wasn't you. It was Sam boosting your powers. Quit crying about it! You lost control it happens to everyone. Get your ass down stairs to train. You missed out this morning." I look around the corner and see Santana stomp away. Cassandra sighs. "Fucking teenagers."

Three days pass. Cassandra still singled me out during one on one afternoon practice and I was tired beyond a doubt. Harry had tried to help me many times but Cassandra sometimes had Beiste neutralize our powers from behind the door. I was tired and sore.

I have screamed at Sam two more times and he has taken to avoiding me. He tries to talk to Quinn but will see me there and turn around. Harry snorts at that but I feel happy yet guilty. It is petty and beneath me but I do not want him to go on a date with Quinn. After realizing my mistake I left Sam alone, I could not control who Quinn talked to. It wasn't right in any form or way. It made me feel disgusting so I let them be. I let that horrid emotion stay in my body and kept myself from doing anything rash to him. Why was he so interested in her and why did she keep him around?

Three days and Santana has not said a word to me. I growl in frustration when I don't see Santana in the living room and see Sam talking to Quinn. Quinn doesn't look to happy but she doesn't look like she wants to hit him so I sigh. I can't control Quinn's life. It is beyond wrong. I move around the corner and am picked up. A hand goes over my mouth and I struggle. Harry steps forward to attack the person but they hold me close to their body as they drag me to the elevator.

I can't make a sound and the body feels like metal against mine. Harry rushes into the elevator behind us and is tense, muscles ready for anything as he growls. The hand stays on my mouth but words are whispered in my ear. "Do not fight back. Just do as I say." I recognize the voice. Cassandra!

She walks with her back against the wall and my body pulled tightly into her front. She knew my power well. Harry didn't want to hurt me. The door opens and she shoves me in harshly. Harry runs in after me and the door shuts behind us. "What the hell are you doing?!" I scream at the door until I hear someone move behind me. I turn around and look at the person in confusion. "Santana? What is going on?"

"You two are locked in her together until you get along." Cassandra's voice is annoyed. "Tension is not good for a house full of super powered teenagers." Her next sentence is mutter and I barely catch it. "Lock you and the Cheerleader up next."

We sit in silence for a few minutes and Harry sighs before standing in front of Santana. He looks at her for a few minutes, seemingly sizing her up. She looks back at him and he moves to sit by the wall. His eyes close and we sit in silence for five more minutes. "Where is your blonde half?"

"Shouldn't I be asking you that? And she's with Sam." I spit his name out in venom.

Like usual she deflects. "Is that jealousy I hear Berry? I told you to move fast but you waited almost a month." I glare at her and she rolls her eyes. "Anyways I thought you scared him off." Her arms cross over her chest.

I snort. "Apparently not." I look at her. "I do not nor will I ever control Quinn or her life." Santana nods her head and looks away. "Santana, you do know I don't blame you?"

She sighs. "I know, but I blame myself. I just shouldn't have lost control."

I scoot closer to her prone form. "Everyone loses control Santana." She keeps her eyes on the ground and I silently wish for the person who wouldn't stop talking about Brittany. The one who loved to be brash and perverted. "We are here to control it and you have control over it. Sam just boosted your powers. He did it the other day and I thought I was going to die. Beiste is helping him. It was not your fault."

Harry jolts awake and stares at Santana before making a funny face. Santana snorts in laughter. "Alright alright. Only cuz you both got me." She smile at me softly. "I still feel guilty that I could have killed you but yeah. It wasn't my fault." I sigh in relief before pain flares in my arm. Santana had just punched me. "But if you ever pull a stunt like that again I won't hesitate to kill you." With those last word I nod and she stands up. "And your girl fucking loves you. Stop being a pussy and go get her. Time will run out. That bitch teacher is right. There is way to much tension here." She smirks at me and I know she is somewhat back to normal. "Sexual tension." Harry snorts and I shove Santana away. I open my mouth and Santana raises her hands up. "I know I know. Prude. No talking about sex."

I roll my eyes and catch that spark back in Santana's eyes. "Whatever Santana. Go to your girlfriend." She grins and opens her mouth to say something. "I don't want to hear it. Go!" She smirks letting me know she did have a perverted or sexual comment to tell me.

The door opens and I laugh before heading away. I catch Cassandra heading back into the training room. I head up to the control room and watch through the window. She set up a course and works herself to the bone in the first ten minutes. She looks exhausted but keeps going. I wonder what caused her to be this way. To be hateful and harsh. To work herself into a state where she could only sleep when she was about to pass out. I decide to leave her to her workout. I had a feeling that secrets weren't so secret in this school.

I head to the living room and see Quinn listening to Sam. Without a thought I walk straight up to Quinn and grab her face. Her eyes flicker to mine in confusion and I feel Sam shift behind me from where I moved in between them. My thumbs stroke her cheekbones before I pull her face down to mine. I lean up and as our lips touch calm floods my system. I close my eyes not wanting to see possible rejection. The kiss stay lips touching lips just barely before I press my lips up into hers with more pressure. I move my lips in hope that she will do the same. She does and I feel pressure against my cheek. Her hands smooth over my heated cheeks as she kisses me back. I breath in deeply through my nose and pull her down tighter against me. I hear an awkward cough and footfalls leaving the room but I pay them no mind.

She let out a soft sigh into my mouth and I taste apple. She loved apple Jolly Ranchers. My mind seems to be racing yet calm at the same time. Her breath fans against my cheek and my eyelids flutter open. I slowly pull my lips away from hers and settle my forehead against hers. Her eyes stay closed as she leaves her hands on my cheeks. My fingers stroke her cheeks until her eyes open slowly. The normal calm hazel eyes are dark and full of emotions. My lips tremble into a smile and she returns it. We stay like that until I take a deep breath. Everything seems to come back with that one breath. Clarity reaches my kiss befuddled mind and I stroke her face one more time before I step back. "I-I." My heart races for an entirely different reason than the kiss we had just shared. "Uhh." I blink and catch Quinn's shields setting up in her eyes. "Shit. I- That should not have been our first kiss. I am so sorry Quinn." She looks at me with guarded eyes. "I shouldn't have kissed you to send Sam away. I didn't even take your feeling into consideration. I wanted to kiss you so I just kissed you an-and." I stop as a grin stretches across Quinn's face.

My eyes narrow and furrow in confusion and Quinn smiles at me as she takes a step forward. "You kissed me." I nod my head dumbly, never once able to lie to her straight faced. "You have feelings for me." I stand there for two seconds staring at her like a gaping fish before she raises her infamous eyebrow. Heat floods my face and abdomen before I nod my head. "I have feelings for you." I move to nod my head in agreement but freeze. My eyes widen as I stare at her. My heart picks up speed as hope plucks away at my heart. She steps forward and gives me a nervous smile, her eyes flicker to my lips then to my eyes again. "Never apologize for kissing me." With that last word she brings her lips to mine in another chaste kiss. I sigh in relief and throw my arms around her neck. I tug her into me and her lips leave mine so she can bury her face into my shoulder. "God I've wanted this forever."

A laugh bubbles out of my lips. My fingers thread through her hair. "You are not the only one." She breathes a laugh against the skin on my shoulder. We stand there for an uncountable amount of minutes before we move. We head upstairs and as we go into our room awkwardness happens.

I begin to change but freeze when Quinn looks at me with wide eyes. I tilt my head in question as she averts her gaze to the ceiling. "Just-I don't know if you want me to see you naked."

Her eyes flicker all around the room and I let out a soft laugh. "Quinn you've seen me naked plenty of time."

She swallows and closes her eyes. "Yeah but I've never actually looked or been able to look."

I shiver and swallow before I pull on some night clothes. She does the same as I head for the bed. Respecting her, I do not sneak even a little peak. I lay in bed in my usual attire of a big t-shirt and boy shorts. Quinn stands in pajama pants and a t-shirt. She looks at me awkwardly. "Quinn what are you doing?"

She blushes. "Well. I don't know if anything has change. I mean do we still sleep together now that we kissed?"

"Well I hope we would sleep together after I kissed you." Hanging around Santana was a bad influence. She blushes. "I'm kidding Quinn. Nothing has changed in our nightly routine. I am not going to attack you in your sleep." She blushes again. "You are not going to attack me either. Get your butt into bed now." She fidgets with her fingers. "Please?"

She lets out a sigh and the tension seems to leave her body as she climbs into bed. I curl into her like normal and she shifts and shuffles before finding a comfortable position. I look up at her face before leaning up to place a soft kiss on her lips. I snuggle into her chest and she gaps at me. I smile and close my eyes. Ten minutes later after much moving and shifting she peels off her sleep pants. I grin as she lets out a sigh of content. She brushes a kiss on the top of my head. "Quinn?"

"Hmm?" I feel her chest rumble beneath me in question.

"Will you be my girlfriend?" My hands twist nervously into her shirt.

I feel her chest shake. "I thought the kiss sealed the deal?" I poke her in the stomach and she laughs deep in her chest. "Yes Rachel, I will be your girlfriend. Will you so kindly do me the honor of being my significant other, my girlfriend?"

I snort. "Yes you nerd I will." She hums in content as she pulls me closer into her. I snuggle deeper into her chest and we fall asleep into deep sleep, tangled together.

The morning passed relatively uneventful. Well as uneventful as it could be. Sam keeps shooting us looks throughout the training sessions and Santana did the same. Quinn kept jerking her hands back to keep from touching me and Cassandra shot us looks every once in a while. She kept rolling her eyes.

Breakfast was being served and everyone was seated. Sue was talking strategies or something with Beiste and Cassandra. Schue and Emma were trying to explain the consequences of public school to everyone while most of the teenagers, Matt being the loudest one for going to school and Santana the most against it. Quinn and I were including commentary in the discussion on how public school was. Most of them with the exception of Sam, Finn and Kurt hadn't seem high school. Most of us were Juniors and Sophomores by age yet many of them were home schooled or hadn't seen public school beyond eighth grade year.

Quinn's hand was laced with mine under the table and as her thumb stroked my knuckles Harry appeared out of nowhere. He stood behind Sue and began to make faces. Santana snorted in amusement only to choke on her coffee. Harry found that hilarious as his mouth stretched into a grin.

Once Santana had calmed down he began to march around the room. Our eyes follow him as he does impressions of each individual. He gets to Sue who begins to talk and crosses his eyes and sticks his tongue out. I stifle my laugh as does Santana. Quinn looks at me in confusion but I squeeze her hand letting her know I'll explain later. Harry huffs and holds his finger as if he is going to touch Sue before making the oddest face ever seen on a human let alone a half reptilian creature. Santana barely muffles her chuckles and I end up coughing orange juice out of my lungs.

Sue glares at us. "Lopez, Berry follow me now." We get up without a word and Harry walks in front of Sue before turning around to make a face right in front of Sue's face. "Berry tell your creature to stop."

Harry's eyes widen in shock as do mine and Santana's."How?"

Sue turns to look at us. "If you asking how I see it, I can't. But you two stare and laugh enough for me to know somethings up. When did you start to see Berry's creatures? Same for you Berry."

"After Santana's accident. Harry saved me and we've seen him ever since." I shrug as I answer and Santana nods in agreement.

Sue sighs. "Anything else that I need to know?" Santana and I share a look. "Explain now." Sue's voice is full of demand.

"We can enter each others dreams." Santana murmurs this in an unusual timid fashion.

Sue's hand slams into the wall and Harry growls in warning, taking a step forward. I shake my head at him and he calms down. "God dammit! Why didn't you tell us earlier?! How long has this been going on?"

My feet shuffle and I look at the ground. "Since Azimio."

I flicker my eyes up and catch Sue's eyes after my admission. She looks beyond pissed. "You two do not get how dangerous this could be." I open my mouth as does Santana. "No quiet. This has a huge possibility of being dangerous. Being connected to someone on a mental level is not something done unless by a telepath. Dammit! I need full reports by tonight on everything. Somehow your mental connection allows Santana to see the creatures you make. The life threatening moment three days ago made you able to see your creations. This could be dangerous, you two could turn each others minds into putty!"

Santana snorts as does Harry. I glare at the both of them for having their minds in the gutters. Sue glares at Santana. "Go back to breakfast. We will discuss this later."
