Why had she allowed her inner voice to take over? She was running down the sidewalk with some strange boy chasing after her. What did they want anyway? Let me ask. No! Who knows what would leave her mouth next.

After a few minutes of running she was tired and starting to pant. Her swim bag was sure to leave a bruise. She wished she hadn't packed a book with her. She could feel one corner of the hardcover book jab her leg with every step she took. The boy chasing her couldn't be older than seventeen, not even, yet he didn't even look to be panting, when she had glanced to see if he was still there.

Like the other boys in the group, and herself, he was wearing a short sleeve t-shirt. His was plain gray, though, unlike the other kid's who was a clear fan of Japanese anime. This boy had gold hair and what appeared to be gold eyes. He was strong, it was clear not only by the way he ran but the muscle in his arms were very visible.

It was also clear he was the strongest out of the bunch, he was the only one who came after her, the other really muscular boy there was shorter (but still taller than herself) and he just didn't seem quite as strong. Whatever it didn't matter, she could out run this kid, right?
