Chapter Eight: Waning Crescent

A/N: This is Sirius' point of view. Still don't own anything you recognize.

I was sitting on the windowsill in the dorm, just thinking of my Remus. I didn't like the fact that he was avoiding me and wouldn't let me talk to him alone. Someone came into the dorm, but that didn't matter to me as much as Remus's actions. The bloke approached me carefully and I could just feel his nervous energy, something dogs pick up on and I have over just about a year of being an Animagus. Dogs also have very acute noses, and I sniffed the air discretely. He smelled like warm homey and dark chocolate. I knew immediately that it was Remus.

I turned around slightly and saw my beautiful god, Remus. He looked way nervous, but when I looked at him, he gave me a nervous smile, causing me to smile as well. Gods, he has a big affect on me. He sat across from me on the windowsill, and put his hand on my knee.

"Siri, I wanted to talk to you. I'm sorry I avoided you this week. I though you would hate me because I was gay for you. I really never thought you would even give me a second glance even if you were gay."

"I know, Remmie", I said quietly. "The reason I never told you was because I thought you would hate me as well. When you told me that you imprinted on me, I was in complete shock because I never thought you would love me, too. I love you, Rem, with all my being."

"I love you as well."

His voice was barely a whisper, but it rang in my ears for years after. I couldn't stand it anymore; I needed to hold him, and he obviously felt the same, because we both stood up and headed for my bed. Kicking our shoes off and robes falling to the ground, Remus and I held each other in my bed. I kissed him tentatively, and he came back with full force. At that time I decided to close the hangings of my bed, bidding the outside world goodnight as I worshiped my Remus.

I woke up in the morning quite hot. I finally remember why there was added body heat as I looked at the sleeping form of my boyfriend, Remus. He was adorable when he slept, and he felt so wonderful in my arms. Taking advantage of his asleep, I looked at his shirtless torso. His torso was dusted with scars, which made my Remus beautiful. He was more muscular than I thought (his stomach almost had a six pack!).

Remus stirred and I smiles. He squirmed a bit, trying to figure out where he was and where his shirt and pajama bottoms were. Suddenly, he looked at me and smiled, cuddling into my chest even more than before.

"Well, good morning to you, too."

"A good morning it is, indeed", mumbled my Remus into my chest, which tickled.

We sat there for an hour or two and then heard James stir. Remus moved my hangings around my bed and located his pants and shirt quickly and had them on even quicker.

"Morning, Prongs", said Remus, quite joyfully as he leaned back into my arms. James sat up and located his glasses, smiling.

"It looks like it's a really good morning for all of us, huh?" said the cheeky git. I threw a pillow at him, not removing an arm from my boyfriend's lovely waist. It hit James square in the face and my Moony and I laughed.

"Just curious, what did you mean 'for all of us'?" said Remus, who had grabbed my arm and snuggled it across his chest.

"Well, just by looking at you two, you look like you're happily together. And today, I have a date with Lily."

My jaw dropped at the last sentence. "Wait, let me get this straight; you and Lily Evans, the girl who has loathed you for years, are going on a date?!"

James got up and started to find his clothes for his date.

"Yeah, Lily and I talked and walked around school while you two were 'making up', let's just say. She asked me if I wanted to go to Hogsmead with her and I said yes."

Rem and I cheered. Everything was right in the world. Remus and I were together and in love. James and Lily seemed like they were on their way to love and dating more. Nothing could have ruined my mood.
