The Waterbending Scroll-The Waterbending Master

On the deck, I am sparring with his Lieutenant Lee when the boat turns and we are thrown to one side on our backs. Right on time, time to play my part.

"Someone's changing our course." I say glaring at the tower. After helping Jee up, I walk to the tower.

"Why have we changed course?" I ask after storming in.

"I lost my lotus tile, for my Pai Sho game. Most people think the lotus tile insignificant, but it is essential for the unusual strategy that I employ."

"You've changed our course for a stupid lotus tile?" I ask in disbelief.

"See, you, like most people, underestimate it's value. Just give me ten minutes to check the merchants at this port of call." He says calmly. "Hopefully, they will have the lotus tile in stock and I can get on with my life." He finishes excitedly.

"Fine, but buy extra's if there cheap that way you'll have some if you lose another." I say exasperated.

Scene Break

"I've checked all the shops on this pier. Not a lotus tile in the entire marketplace." Uncle says with false sadness.

"It's good to know this trip was a complete waste of time for everyone!" I say with false anger.

"Quite the contrary. I always say, the only thing better than finding something you are looking for is finding something you weren't looking for at a great bargain!" He says while the crew carries his purchases back to the ship.

"You bought a tsungi horn?" I ask surprised, I guess I forgot about that, it being a minor detail.

"For music night on the ship. Now, if we only had some woodwinds." he explains calmly. "Oh, this place looks promising!" He says pointing at the pirate ship. "Oh, that is handsome! Wouldn't it look magnificent in the galley?"

"Probably." I state indifferently.

"We lost the Water Tribe girl and the little bald monk she was traveling with." I hear Oh say to the Pirate captain.

Turning. "This monk, did he have an arrow on his head?" I ask calmly. I really wanna kill these guys for what they tried in my past life.

Scene Break

My boat and the pirates ship are both sailing down a river.

"Shouldn't we stop to search the woods?" The Pirate captain asks.

"We don't need to stop. They stole a waterbending scroll, right?" I ask calmly.

"Mm-hm." He says.

"Then they'll be on the water."

Minutes later...

After grabbing Katara.

"Tell me where he is and I won't hurt you or your brother." I say coldly. Knowing she'll refuse and probably insult me.

"Go jump in the river!" She says furiously.

"Try to understand. I need to capture him to restore something I've lost, my honor." Katara jerks her head away from me. "Perhaps in exchange I can restore something you've lost." I hold her mothers necklace around her neck.

"My mother's necklace! How did you get that?" She asks.

"I didn't steal it, if that's what you're wondering. Tell me where he is." I say pointing at Katara.

"No!" She says emphatically.

"Enough of this necklace garbage! You promised a scroll!" The Pirate captain says angry.

"I wonder how much this is worth ..." The pirates gasp as I take it out and hold it over a fire in my hand. "A lot, apparently. Now you help me find what I want, you'll get this back, and everyone goes home happy. Search the woods for the boy and meet back here!"

"Fine." The captain says.

They return minutes later with the Avatar and Sokka.

"Nice work." I say honestly impressed.

"Aang, this is all my fault." Katara says emphasizing the word my.

"No Katara, it isn't." Aang says trying to sooth her mind.

"Yeah, it kind of is." Uncle says, getting a glare from Katara in return.

"The boy for the scroll, same time?" I ask. "If I fail to give the scroll one of your men can kill me, If you fail to hand over the boy, one of my men kills you." I say offering security.

We're interrupted by Sokka.

"You're really gonna hand over the Avatar for a stupid piece of parchment?" He says trying to sabotage the exchange.

"He's not the Avatar, he just said that to woo his sister." I say with a sneer.

"Your friend is the Avatar?" Idiot captain.

"Sure is, and I'll bet he'll fetch a lot more on the black market than that fancy scroll." He says slyly.

"I'l make the choice easy for you captain. Your a Pirate, you take the Avatar to my father the Fire Lord, he'll keep the kid and throw you into prison for being a pirate, in the end you'll get nothing, you'll even end up worse off. That, is assuming you survive breaking our agreement, you wont I'l just kill your crew and relocate your goods onto my ship." I say coldly, unnerving everyone.

"You think you can bully us firebender?" He asks, wow he's dumb.

"I can, very easily yes." I reply daring him to cross me.

"Very well here's my counter offer, kid." He says with a smile. "Attack!"

Idiot.

I hit him with a fire blast knocking him out. I enter a close range fight with, Oh. I'm at a slight disadvantage using only my hands, I win minutes later. Only to discover Team Avatar got away faster this time. Oh well, I wasn't really wanting to catch him. The pirates are trying to steal my boat, I knock them out with forked lightning. The Pirates ship which was stolen by team Avatar goes over the waterfall, they safely jump on Appa. After returning back to the ship, without losing the boat this time around I teleported away to make sure Aang isn't captured in the Gaipan area.

Time Skip

After confirming I don't have to rescue, or drive the Avatar away I moved on to the next confirmed area he was sighted in. Taking my Uncles advice this time around in regards to the weather I skipped that Storm drama.

Scene Break

Already knowing that Zhao will soon be promoted to Admiral I wait for the order that I plan to disregard.

"We haven't been able to pick up the Avatar's trail since the storm, but if we continue heading northeast ..." A larger Fire Nation ship pulls up next to ours.

"What do they want?" I ask, already knowing the answer.

"Perhaps, a sporting game of Pai Sho!" Uncle exclaims happily. I give him an unamused look.

A soldier from the other ship walks in.

"The hunt for the Avatar has been given prime importance. All information regarding the Avatar must be reported directly to Admiral Zhao." He says to me.

"I have nothing to report. Remind Zhao of my warning unless he wants to die, him being an Admiral changes nothing about the consequences of disregarding it. He's just a weakling, hiding behind those more powerful than him. Maybe I should burn his other eye too." I say all this coldly, looking the soldier in the eye unnerving him.

I wait decide to wait till night before dawning my Blue Spirit disguise, with anti-spirit runes burnt into it. Before teleporting into Pohuai Stronghold, directly into the room Aang is imprisoned in.

I appear in front of him to his surprise. I hold my finger to my mouth to indicate he should be silent, before pointing at his chains and my sword. He understands thankfully, after I free him, I offer him my arm he takes it I teleport him to the swamp below the herbalist institute.

"I already have frogs." He says confused, and happy to be free. "ribbit!" we hear and they hop away.

I point at the swamp after they hop away. He understands why I brought him here and gets more. I offer my arm again, he takes it and I teleport him to near where his friends are. He hesitates going to them, I point in the direction of them to urge him to leave. He obeys thankfully, i'm not interested in revealing my identity or talking. I teleport back to my room and store my Blue Spirit disguise in my warded closet.

Time Skip

I meditate on deck, fairly certain this is the day June appeared last. The stowaway is below deck, I sense him. The ship suddenly jerks and I rise to see what the commotion is about. Several firebenders stand poised, ready to attack. A large beast, called a shirshu, suddenly leaps onto the deck, June mounted on its back. The firebenders flee from the beast.

"Look out! Argh!" The firebenders shout.

"Get back! We're after a stowaway!" June says holding a rolled up whip.

"There are no stowaways on my ship." I say as Uncle arrives.

Nyla finds flushes the stowaway out and neutralizes him.

"Interesting, he's paralyzed." I say calmly.

"Only temporarily." She says as she lifts the man and slings him over her shoulder. "The toxins will wear off in about an hour. But by then, he'll be in jail and I'll have my money." She says before she walks to Nyla.

"But how did you find him on my ship?" I ask, already knowing.

"My shirshu can smell a rat a continent away." She says, before mounting her shirshu.

Oh well time to go through the whole boring hunt for the Avatar today.

Time Skip

After going through all those places, we finally arrive at the abbey.

"So this is your girlfriend." She says as I jump down. "No wonder she left, she's way too pretty for you."

"I have had prettier. Ask me later and i'l show you why." I say while winking at June, causing her to smirk a little. While annoying Uncle.

"Where is he? Where is the Avatar?" I ask knowing he'll arrive soon.

"We split up. He's long gone." Sokka replies.

"Oh?" I ask calmly. "I suppose your here to buy perfume to go with the Kyoshi Warrior dress and make-up then?" I ask with a smirk. That, angers him, predictable. "He'll come for the two of you. Unless of course he realized how useless you both are. I'm surprised he left your sister though, maybe he got bored of her. You however keep getting beaten down, while wearing make-up, your really setting women's rights back single-handedly, for those who aren't aware of your gender."

By this time Uncle and June are laughing. I think Uncle is just trying to share the moment with her. Sokka and Katara start running, Nyla paralyzes them.

Nyla walks closer to Sokka and Katara. "It's seeking a different scent. Perhaps something that the Avatar held." Says June.

"What's it doing? It's just going in a circle." I say vaguely remembering this occuring before. I look into the air on instinct. "In the sky." I yell.

Aang and I have a lengthy fight while I hold back. Its so pathetically boring, eventually Sokka and Katara are waken up by smelling perfume, they dump it out and waterbend it onto Nyla who paralyzes, June and I. Uncle capitalizes on June's vulnerability, pulling her to him. I snort in amusement before using energybending to burn the toxin up, and rising.

Time Skip

After observing Team Avatar, and making sure they move in a timely manner. They have finally arrived at the Northern Water Tribe, I have been discreetly teleporting my gear to my vault, I'l teleport Uncles stuff in after the crew leaves.

Uncle enters my room, its time I suppose.

"For the last time, I'm not playing the tsungi horn!" I yell with false anger. Knowing Zhao is about to make a dramatic entrance.

"No, it's about our plans. There's a bit of a problem." Cue the entrance of Mr. Bad Haircut.

"I'm taking your crew." He says after walking in. Wasting no time.

"I'm not surprised. Your too much of a coward to cross me directly. This allows you to hide behind my father."

"I've recruited them for a little expedition to the North Pole." He says angrily, trying to impress me with the mission he was given.

"That explains why my father keeps giving you special treatment despite of you being a weak idiot. Its because your a useful idiot in his opinion. Word of advice, don't fail him. You'll wish you were dead." I say coldly.

"Perhaps you have already failed him, with that suicide mission." I say with a smirk. "Let me guess your taking everyone, excluding Uncle?" I ask coldly.

"Yes." He replies simply, surprised by my "guess".

"Sorry you won't be there to watch me capture the Avatar. But I can't have you getting in my way again." He says smugly.

"Zhao, any bender of measurable talent can get in your way. Assuming of course you don't hide behind people who actually have talent, and make them do the work. Which I'm sure you will." I say with a smirk, enraging him. "Enjoy dying, I hear freezing to death is horrible." There's the look, he will have me dealt with. He's so enraged he just walks to the door. "General Iroh, the offer to join my mission still stands ... if you change your mind." He says before exiting.

Time Skip

The soldiers have left, and Uncle is out on his walk. His things have been teleported to the suite I set up in a vault a year ago. I have already heard the pirates, they were loud, they deserve to fail, i'l be sure to visit them after the North Pole. The ship blows up on schedule I just sit in my room shielding myself bored, before leaving to wait for Uncle.

Uncle arrives in time, I calmly waited for him.

"Ready to begin the plan?" I ask calmly. He nods with a smile.

"Till then, i'm gonna visit a friend, I haven't seen her since the Avatar came back."

"Very well, if you do anything physical take precautions. There are potions to prevent pregnancies." He says seriously.

"Not that kind of friend Uncle. Bye!" I say, before teleporting away to avoid more unwanted advice.

I arrive in Gaoling, before walking towards the arena.

I arrive to see Toph leaving with a belt and bag of gold. I walk towards her calmly, she seems to have recognized me by the way I walk.

"Hey Sparky." She says with a teasing smile.

"Hey Tophy-poo." I say making her snarl. "Don't call me that!" she says angrily.

"Then don't call me Sparky." I say teasingly, she gives in.

"Why are you here so late Zuko?" She asks a little concerned.

"Well I died. But not really, obviously. Figured i'd visit you till I the next phase of my plan is ready, since I haven't recently. The Avatar returned so I'v been busy trying to capture him, that and dealing with an annoying Admiral who thinks he can command, limit and apparently try killing me."

"Sounds fun, my parents still coddle me, but my secret training in Lava and Sandbending has helped keep me sane. I have been practicing the earthbending forms you showed me through Seismic sense, should be nearing mastery in them."

"Have you tried bending glass?" I ask curiously.

"No, think its worth trying?" She asks in return.

"Yes in theory, if a firebender turns your sand into glass you can use it against them. It would make a great surprise for that unlucky someone." I explain patiently.

"I'l try it sometime, how long do you plan to stay in Gaoling?"

"Just a brief visit to let you know why, I haven't visited recently. That way you don't think I died or forgot about you."

"Oh okay, how will you deal with that annoying Admiral you mentioned?" She asks curiously.

"Easy, he has other enemies who'll do it for me." I omit the fact that its the Ocean spirit, and it dealing with him is putting him in the Fog of Lost Souls. Eternal suffering, me killing him would be a kindness.

"So nobody will trace it back to you?" She asks impressed.

"Exactly." I say glad she understands.

We arrive near her home, I suppose its time for me to go prepare.

"Well thanks for walking me home, even though I would have been perfectly safe alone." Her way of saying, thank you.

"Your welcome. I'l try visiting when I can, though I may be labeled a traitor soon." I say nervously.

"I hope your not. That would cause problems for you. But I hope I see you soon." She says sadly, now several steps away from me.

"Hopefully. Bye Toph." I say, she waves, use to me teleporting away. Which I do as she waves goodbye.
