Walking into the Daily Bugle, I made my way to the elevator, following a man I knew had information on the same person who hired Shocker, someone who created Sand-Man. Entering the elevator, I pinned him against the wall, with me placing a knife to his neck. "Tell me, I'm looking for the Big man, who is he?" I asked, with him raising his hands.
"No one knows, he's just some high top thug that cant be found!" He said, looking away from me.
"Any idea on who it might be, or if there were any suspicions?" I asked, with him looking at me. "Who?" I asked, knowing that my second question gained his interest.
"L. Thompson Lincoln, he's high class around here, he's been called the big man before but I checked him out, he cant be the Big Man!" He said, with me pushing against him even more.
"Tell me everything you have on him!" I demanded, with him nodding.
"Lets see, people call him a Kingpin, a legitimate businessman. Looks good in a nice Suit, Fittingly, since he's a totally legitimate businessman, when in distress, he stays cool and even gets what he wants at times, he likes the old classic sit downs, like a mob boss or something, no matter what he adapts to the situation, he goes by a code, no man left behind, as he prefers to handle situations personally most times, he has a deep voice, stronger than normal, He doesn't trust anyone, people say that he's manipulative but I've never seen it, but he has good publicity!" He spoke, all to quickly as I might put it.
Hearing the door open, I looked behind me and saw a human Rhino. "Well, if it isn't the White man." He said, making a fist. "Looks like I get to take you down before I take down Ghost-Spider." He said, with me letting the man go and facing him. I had nothing for this guy, I wasn't one to take on Hulk powered freaks. Seeing him punch, I rolled under him, exiting the elevator. Seeing him look at me, I hit a button, not knowing what floor it was as he turned to face me. As the doors closed, I backed up, giving him a two finger salute.
Knowing that the elevator was moving up, I made my way outside, where I heard police cars pulling up. Hearing a crash from above, I looked up at the Rhino, with him landing in front of me, making a crater. Walking to the edge, I looked down at him, with him looking up at me. The police arrived, with detective Stacy getting out and looking dead at me, with me giving him a quick glance at his arm that was in a strap.
Looking back at the Rhino, I felt no emotion towards him. "Assassin, Rhino, stand down, you are both under arrest!" Stacy said, with me stepping over the edge, sliding down towards Rhino as soon as he picked up a huge rock. Jumping up, I landed on the rock and was tossed at Stacy, where I tossed a knife down and pinned him to the ground and the rock hitting his car, crushing it. I was fine, the rock may have cracked but I was ok. seeing Rhino charge, I glared at him as he got closer, where I then jumped off the car, grabbed Stacy and tossed him out of the way, ripping the shoulder of his coat.
turning to look at the Rhino, I saw him pick up a cop car and throw it, with me sliding under it as I ran at him, with him doing the same. Jumping over his punch, I grabbed his horn and pulled my self over him, sending me into the air. Landing in the pit, I grabbed a rock and tossed it at him, hitting him in his non protected face, making him mad.
He then ran down towards me, with me looking up as Gwen swung over, grabbing me and swinging away as the Rhino almost stomped me. "When did you become the hero again?" She asked, making a quick right turn.
"I'm not, and I'm sure that Rhino is after both of us, so ya, two for one." I said, watching as he kept up with us. 'He's sweating, but not all over.' I thought, seeing as it was only his face that was wet. 'That makes it easier then.' I thought, making her let me go and charged, with me rolling under his punch and kicking the back of his knee, knocking him down. Seeing him pick up a fire hydrant, he went to smash me with it, but Gwen pulled it out of his hands, where I then jumped up and kicked him in the face, pushing him into the water. 'Not what I need.' I thought, with Gwen's web catching me and pulling me away from a charging Rhino, with him turning to follow us.
"Seriously, you're just as crazy if not crazier than Dakota is. She said, taking a left, only for me to cut myself lose and shoot my hoot to the side as she almost made us crash into a truck. Landing on the side of the roof, I watched as Gwen looked at me while the Rhino destroyed the truck. "Seriously, wall crawling in my thing!" She said, mad.
"Wall walking in my thing." I said, crossing my arms, where I then jumped to the side as Rhino tossed an engine my way. "Gwen, below!" I said, seeing a family, with her swinging just in time to save the mother who in turn saved her daughter from harms way. Looking at the Rhino, I jumped off and ran at him, knowing that wall walking wasn't the best thing to do. Sliding between his legs, I quickly turned around and kicked his butt, knocking him forward. Rolling backward, I faced him and watched as he caught Gwen and tossed her, with me shooting my hook and giving chase after her.
Seeing her falling fast, I let go of my hook and flew straight for her, where I then caught her and repositioned my self to where I went through the glass and into the workout store. "Really, this is getting wired for you." She said, with me pushing her off me.
"Get over it." I said, standing up, but fell once I felt a sharp pain in my back. Falling to my knee, I reached back and felt a shard of glass. Looking at my hand, I narrowed my eyes at that.
"You're bleeding!" Gwen said, grabbing my shoulders. "Come on, lets get you out of here!" She said, with me pushing her away.
"I'm fine, I just have to get to the good doctor!" I growled, standing up just in time to see Rhino run in, with me pushing Gwen away again as he wasn't stopping. He rammed me, sending me to the far wall, breaking the shard that was in my back. Standing up, I watched Gwen swing around him and stop him from taking a drink of water, with me knowing that she caught on. Walking forward, I tossed a knife at him, with it hitting his armor and breaking. Having his attnetion, I watched as he charged at me.
At the last second, I spun around him and watched as he ran right through the wall, with Gwen following him. Shooting her webs at the dumpster, she pulled it, pinning him to the ground. Walking out, I looked to the right and saw steam coming from the pipe lines from below. Running over, I took my sword and cut it down, where I then jumped in. Landing on the ground, I looked up as I saw Gwen follow me, with me jumping to the side as Rhino fell in.
"I would say that its a bad day for a sauna, wouldn't you say Ghost-Spider?" I asked, vanishing into the darkness just like her.
"Agreed, but still, why are you two fighting?" She asked, with me smirking.
"Well, it all started when I went for a walk-"
"I'm serious!?" She yelled, making me smile.
"Ok, a VERY enthusiastic walk." I said, making her groan. "See, he doesn't like me, and I can understand that-"
"STOP IGNORING ME!?" Rhino yelled, with me cutting a pipe in front of him, with steam hitting him in the face. As he waved his hands around, I cut more pipes, each one blowing steam into him, where he then fell forward, where I then punched him in the face, knocking him the other way, where Gwen then webbed him into a cocoon.
"Finally." I said, sitting down as my back was still hurting.
"You ok?" Gwen asked as she stood in front of me.
"Ya... I'm fine." I said, taking her offered hand. She wrapped her hand around my waist, with her looking at me. "So... Are you the "He" that Dakota talks about?" She asked, with me looking at her.
"Sure." I said, with her looking down.
"Well, I was wondering if Dakota could... come to the dance, tonight." She said, with me smirking.
"Its done." I said, with her looking at me, and I could tell that she was smiling.
"Really, oh man now I have to find something to wear... and what will he be wearing?" She said, thinking hard on that.
'Its still apart of the plan.' I thought, with her helping me to the topside. Once there, I looked at her. "I'll be on my way, I have to get this taken care of and then get Dakota." I said, with her nodding. She would of stayed longer, but the police started rolling in and we both booked it.
Later, house of Dr. Strange
Walking to the door, I knocked on it, where I then found myself in the same bed. "Again, you are reckless." He said, with me nodding as my uniform was now gone. "I saw what happened, you and Ghost-Spider did the number on him." He said, making me groan as he pulled out the shard of glass. "Why didn't your armor protect you?" He asked, with me looking at him.
"My armor is made to stop objects as certain speeds, a knife or something sharp can still get me." I said, with him nodding as my back started healing up with his help.
"There, now you owe me another favor." He said, with me sitting up.
"Getting you the orb of Orchid wasn't enough?" I asked, with him smirking.
"That was easy, even for you." He said, with me nodding as I stood up. "So, have any plans for tonight?" He asked, with me nodding.
"Yes, I'll be attending the dance." I said, with him looking at me.
"Not with Gwen I take it?" He asked, a frown on his face.
"No, with another girl, Mary Jane." I said, smirking.
"Do you ever just feel like you have no reason to live?" The voice said, with me finding my self in the room again. "I don't mean in, like, a suicidal way, I mean how nothing that you do is special. Being the Assassin, or working on your plans to ruin Gwen. It's like you no longer care for yourself, and the world wouldn't miss you if you were gone. It makes me sad. It's not like I can just go change the way you think. What are the chances that you will be forgotten? It feels like you will never make up for the things you've done. I think the key to life is having someone special to live for." She said, with me looking around, knowing there was nothing. "Just to look at yourself, you arnt the same person I wished for you to be. I didn't want this for you, I wanted you to finish school, go to collage, but you realize the world would benefit more from killing others, like I did when I first learned of my past!" She said, with me looking straight again. "Anyway, I you to go back to who you are. If you can do that, and I can die happy... even though I'm already dead that is, of course, you had nothing to do with that..."
Later, office of L. Thompson Lincoln.
Walking into the office, I dragged a man with me, who had a few knives in his body. "Big man." I said, tossing the body forward, with said man turning his chair to me.
"Assassin, or should I call you Creed?" He asked, with me walking towards him. Running at him, I jumped over his desk, where my hidden dagger popped out, with him standing up and catching my hands. "Impatient, arnt we." He said, tossing me to the pool table. Landing on it, I took the eight ball and tossed it at him, with him catching it and crushing it.
"Ghost-Spider is my target, no one will kill her but me, not when I'm done taking everything from her." I said, with him smirking.
"Forget about her and come work for me, I could use someone like you." He said, pulling out a briefcase and placing it down on the desk. "I'll even pay-"
"If you know of the Creed, then you know we don't sell out." I said, with him losing his smile.
"Then you should know that the Creed isn't one for revenge." He said, with him holding his head up high.
"What do you know of the Creed?" I asked, knowing that he knew way too much.
"My family was the one who went out of there way to kill yours, I've even killed some myself." He said, smirking. "The last one I killed was a whore, that was about nine years ago." He said, with me gritting my teeth.
The man who killed my mother, who had done no wrong in her life, was here, and it pissed me off. Running at him, I tackled him, but he then tossed me at the wall. Picking me up, he threw a few punches, with me ducking under them. Rolling out of the way as he tried grabbing me, I tossed a knife at him, with him catching it and breaking it.
"Your mother used knives just like this when she wasn't doing her job." He said, shocking me that my mother wasn't just a prostitute but also an assassin. "You followed her steps, even when she is dead." He said, with me glaring at him. "She killed most of my family in one night, yet you cant kill me." He said, with me looking at the door as the police came in. Running for the window, I jumped out of it, making my escape as I was in no position to take down the Big Man.
