Chapter Eight
*Renesmee's POV*
It has already been a few weeks since we came to New York. September was finally done and we were in the beginning of October now.
I guess our lives have become normal. My mom goes to class in the afternoon with a majority of the family while my dad and Aunt Rose work with my grandpa for a few hours.
Grace has warmed up to me a little bit more. We'll chat in the halls and in class, but she'll never eat with us at lunch. I don't know everything, but something tells me Masen knows that she's hurting inside. I wish I knew what it was because I hate seeing my friend upset.
"You should come over sometime this weekend," I offered Grace. "It could be fun."
"No, it's okay. I've got to help my mom with somethings around the house," She told me. "Maybe some other time."
"Alright," I said, sighing. "But if you change your mind, just give me a call," I told her.
"Okay. Will do." She smiled at me as she waved her cell phone towards my direction. I chuckled as I then headed over to my locker where Masen was.
"So...Ready to head home? I for one am tired of school and would like to take a nap or something," He mumbled, rubbing his eyes.
"Since when do you need a lot of sleep. You're getting to that age where you don't even practically need sleep," I said as I took out my stuff in the locker.
"Well, I haven't been getting much shut eye lately," He said, yawning as I slammed the locker door shut.
Before I could ask him why, my cousins came barreling towards us.
"Come on guys! I want to go home," Lily complained as she came scurrying over with Aidan tailing right behind her.
"Fine, we're going," I groaned as we then head out into the parking lot to meet up with my dad. Lizzy was already in the car and was smiling eagerly at us.
"So, how was your first Friday?" My dad asked us as we all pilled into the car.
"It was just a normal Friday. Nothing interesting, Uncle Ed. Unless you'd like to hear how Marsha Zales cheated on her boyfriend with Roger Benson," Lily mentioned sarcastically, quirking an eyebrow at my dad.
"Sorry I asked," He mumbled.
"I'm only kidding with you Uncle Eddie." Lily chuckled as she got out her nail filer. "Although, Marsha Zales did cheat on her boyfriend, but it was with Kevin Benson, Roger's brother, and-"
"Okay. Enough out of you Polly Pocket," Aidan grumbled.
"Watch it pea for brain," Lily said, glaring daggers at her brother.
Masen, Lizzy, and I just giggled at our cousins' antics. This just caused Lily to roll her eyes while Aidan's expression still showed pure amusement. I could tell my dad was slightly amused, but tried to keep a straight face as he drove.
"Funny. Like you guys don't have fights like this," Lily huffed.
"Sure, we do. But not as much as you guys." Lizzy giggled. We all laughed as we then pulled into the garage of my house.
"I'll see you guys later tonight. I'm going to rest up for a bit," Lily sung as she walked towards her town house with Aidan.
"Kay, see ya guys!" I called out to them as they dash over to their house.
My mom, Aunt Alice, Uncle Jasper, Uncle Emmett, and Ethan were all home still. They didn't have class for another hour or two today.
"Hey baby, how was school?" My mom asked as I entered the home followed by my siblings.
"Good. The same old, same old. Nothing very interesting," Masen replied as he tapped on the counter, gilding across it. "I'm going to take a nap."
"Why baby? Since when do you need any sleep really?" Mom asked as she then, on instinct, placed the back of her hand on Masen's forehead. "You're not coming down with some vampire flu or..."
"Momma, he's just hasn't been sleeping well lately. That's all," Lizzy said, quirking an eyebrow at Masen. He slightly glared at our little sister. "Isn't that right, Masen?"
"Hey Lizzy, you want to come with me. Now," Masen said curtly, picking up our sister.
"Masen Anthony Cullen you put me down right this instance!" Lizzy growled as Masen carried her away from the rest of us.
"Not a chance sweet pea," He said as he dashed out of the room. I shared a look with my mom as my dad entered.
"What did I miss?" He questioned, seeing our expressions.
"Nothing. I think it's sibling bonding? I'm going to go with that," My mom replied as she let my dad place a chaste kiss on her lips. I rolled my eyes and chuckled seeing my parents get all lovey dovey.
"Where's Jake?" I asked my mother once my parents were done sucking face. I leaned against the counter, waiting for an answer.
"Upstairs. He was waiting for you to come home. I think he's finishing up talking to Rachel," My mom told me. "He's on the roof deck."
"Alright. Thanks." I rushed up the stairs until I get to the top of our house. There was a little tiny deck up there with a small table and chairs. Ever since we moved here sometimes I like to go up there to think.
When I reach the top I see Jacob shutting his phone off. I think he senses I'm here because he snaps around to greet me.
"Hey, Ness. How was school?" He asked, giving me a kiss on the forehead.
I automatically flushed as I look up at Jacob, "Good. Can't wait for the weekend to begin soon. You know. Normal teenager stuff."
He chuckled as he goes to take a seat down on one of the deck chairs. I take a seat next to him as we both stare out towards the city. I liked having talks like this with Jacob. He was always one of the people I could talk to with such ease. I loved it so much at times. I could talk to him about certain things I just couldn't with the rest of my family.
"That's nice. I was actually thinking we take a trip to central park, just me and you," He said to me.
"Why?" I questioned.
"I don't know...Remember that talk we had about finding a new spot for the two of us...I was thinking maybe tomorrow we could search for one," He said, touching my arm gently.
The touch of Jacob's hand made my heart begin to rapidly pound against my chest. I don't know why I react like this, but something about Jacob always makes me feel...Feel so alive.
"Ness, are you okay?" Jacob asked me.
"Why?" I questioned, snapping out of my train of thought.
"It sounded like you were about to go into cardiac arrest or something," He said, cocking an eyebrow.
"I'm fine. Just perfectly fine," I respond hastily, sitting down by the edge of the rooftop, trying to calm down.
"Alright. If you say so," He replied, taking a seat next to me. "So...Want to go to the park?"
"Um, yeah. Sure. I'd love to," I admitted to him. I haven't gotten to spend as much time as I would like to with Jake. Between school, homework, and my life in general, things I have been just too hectic.
"You know you really sound like a dog when you say you want to go to the park." I winked at him. He rolled his eyes as he goes to give my hair a small ruffle.
"Thanks, Ness," He said to me sarcastically.
"Your welcome."
We both chuckled at this. I really missed spending time with Jacob, but I don't remember it always feeling this way. The way I act when he's around. My nervousness, erratic heartbeat, shortness of breath; It sounds like the side effects to something, but why am I getting them?
"So when-"
Jacob didn't get to finish his sentence because it was cut off from a loud scream by Aunt Alice.
I quickly shared a look with Jacob as he then pushes me into the house without any notice, getting ready to protect me. He ended up pushing me into my closet, making us hide behind a rack of my shoes.
"That was Aunt Alice. I can recognize that scream anywhere," I whispered to Jacob in the darkness.
"Look, I'm going to check it out," He announced, heading towards the door. "You stay in here. It's safer here."
"No," I hissed at him, coming over to his side. "It's probably nothing. It's Aunt Alice. She could have ordered the wrong jacket or something. I'm not staying in here. If it is anything it's best if we stay together."
"Fine." he sighed. I followed Jacob down the hall, holding tight to his hand.
I heard the creek of a door which slightly startled me. I look to see Lizzy was in Masen's arms as they emerged from her room. She was clinging onto him, her face was buried into his neck.
"What's going on?" I asked my siblings.
"I don't know. It was Aunt Alice. I was trying to see if I could listen to anything else, but I didn't get much. Something is going on though," Masen said, rubbing Lizzy's back gently.
"I saw a baby in her mind," Lizzy spoke up as she picked her head up. "She was in trouble, but I didn't get much far...I'm sort of scared."
"Don't be girly," I told my sister as I go to brush her curls. "It's probably Aunt Alice over reacting. Come on, I say we check it out."
"Ness-"
"Just come on Masen," I said to my brother, crossing my arms over my chest.
"Fine." he gave in as we headed down the stairs towards the sound of my aunt's scream.
We made our way out the backdoor of the town house and used the path that connected the small gardens behind our homes together. We then entered the yard of Aunt Alice and Uncle Jasper's house.
I peered through their window to see them all crowded around something...or someone. Aunt Alice was kneeling down on the ground while Uncle Jasper was right behind her. My mom and Grandma were right by Aunt Alice's side as well. Grandpa seemed to be taking charge of the situation as he talked to Aunt Alice about something. I noticed Lily and Aidan were in the corner of the room by Aunt Rosalie.
"Do you guys know what's going on?" I looked to see Seth dashing over to us as we hid behind one of my aunt and uncle's bushes.
"No, not really," Masen replied as he let Lizzy down so she could go to her imprint. Seth picked up Lizzy so she could hug onto him.
"It looks safe," I whispered to them. "Come on, let's check it out," I said, getting ready to open their backdoor.
"Ness-"
"Jake, it looks safe. Right, Masen? No threatening thoughts?" I asked my brother. He nodded his head softly.
"Yeah, come on. Ness is right. I believe it's safe, but honestly I'm confused," He replied as he opened up the back door for me.
We all walked straight into the living room to see my aunt with a bundle in her arms. Getting a closer look I see it's a baby.
A baby?
"It's her," Lizzy whispered, looking at the baby.
"What is going on here? Please tell me it's nothing bad because you just freaked us all out for nothing pix," Jacob said, coming towards my side.
"Sorry about that," Aunt Alice muttered sheepishly, hugging the bundle. "It's just...Jasper and I found her on our door step. I got spooked and-"
"You had a vision. I saw it Aunt Alice, well part of it," Lizzy filled in. Aunt Alice nodded while the rest of us looked at her confused.
"Okay, what's going on exactly here. I'm a mind reader as well and I don't even have a clue as to what's going on here," Masen announced.
"Well, to sum it up, your aunt found a baby on her doorstep, and she thinks it's her job to protect her with her life," Uncle Emmett explained.
"Pretty much, and I had a vision right after about someone. It didn't quite make sense, but I know she's going to be in danger and she needs someone to protect her. I know that it's my job to protect her," Aunt Alice said. "Our job," she corrected herself, looking towards Uncle Jasper.
"She's not human though," Lizzy pointed out all of a sudden. "She's just like Nessie...I think?"
"We think," Grandpa said, half smiling at Lizzy. "I'm probably going to have to run some tests, but everything points to her being a hybrid."
"But, hold up. None of this adds up though," Lily muttered all of a sudden. "Why leave a baby here? A supernatural baby?"
"We don't know, but right now this little girl needs our aid. I'm not going to let anyone hurt her. I'm vowing. Right now. I vow not to let anyone hurt her," Aunt Alice announced, determination laced her voice.
"Alice are you sure about this?" Uncle Jasper asked. "It's just..."
"Just what?"
"You never seemed like you wanted children...I know it's not something you really thought about I guess, and since we have the nieces and nephews, but you never really talked about it," Jasper muttered, awkwardly scratching the back of his head.
"Well...I kind of wanted to. A little part of me would have liked one, but I was happy. I didn't long for a child...Anyway, this is coming from the little boy who wanted to have a bunch of children and a huge family when he grew up." Aunt Alice smiled at Uncle Jasper with the bundle in her arms. "We have the huge family. This is our chance to raise our very own child."
"What about Carlisle and Esme-"
"We're fine dears," Esme answered. "This baby was clearly meant to be yours. I'm just happy being a grandmother. I take care of them too."
"So?" Aunt Alice questioned, looking at Uncle Jasper. "Do you want to become parents?"
"I'd love to then," Uncle Jasper answered, smiling at our aunt.
I smile as we watch Aunt Alice place the baby in his arms. This is where I take a closer look at her and she truly was very beautiful. Her eyes are a grayish blue and her hair was was a nice curly mahogany brown. Her skin was pale and her lips were red as blood. Something about her facial features were kind of familiar, but I could be wrong. I'm thinking everyone looks the same nowadays.
"What's her name?" Lily asked softly. "Or do you have to think of one?"
"Well we found a note. It says her name is Abrianna. That's it though, just Abrianna," Aunt Alice told us.
"Can I see the note?" I asked. My aunt nodded as she placed the note in my hands. I could feel Lizzy, Masen, Aidan, Jake, Lily, and Seth all looking down at the note with me as I read.
Keep her safe. It's up to you now. Her name is Abrianna. Protect her. Please.
"Strange," Lily muttered, taking the note out of my grasp to look at it better.
"Are we sure this is safe? What if this is some sort of weird trap?" Aidan questioned.
"I don't think it is, I would have seen something. I think Abrianna was meant to come to us," Aunt Alice said, cradling the baby in her arms.
"You should give her a middle name," Lizzy said. "Abby needs one to make her apart of this family."
"Abby?" I questioned, looking at my sister with a raised eyebrow.
"Yeah. Abby. Her name is big enough and she deserves one. It makes her apart of this family." Lizzy smiled at me. I smiled back at my sister as we looked back at little Abby.
"Alright...How about...Rosabella. For Rose and Bella." Aunt Alice smiled, looking down at the baby. My mom and aunt were both gleaming, hearing the baby bore their names. "Abrianna Rosabella Cullen, or Abby for short."
"I think it's a beautiful name," Uncle Jasper announced, looking at Abby in his arms. "For a beautiful little girl."
"Awww, Jazzy is going to know how we feel now, right Eddie boy?" Uncle Emmett chuckled as he slapped a hand on Uncle Jasper's and my dad's back.
Lily and I both giggled while my dad just shakes his head in a chuckle. Uncle Jasper just rolled his eyes as he went back to looking at the small girl in his arms.
"She is really adorable. Looks like I'm not the youngest anymore," Lizzy said, smiling happily.
"Oh Liz, you're always going to be the youngest in my book. Don't think our dear new Abby won't replace you baby sis." Aidan chuckled. Lizzy growled at him, which just caused Aidan to laugh harder.
"Aidan, you will pay. I promise you that," Lizzy remarked, frowning at him.
"Sorry, Liz. But I can't hep it." he chuckled. My sister rolled her eyes and the rest of the family laughed.
"Well, I say we set up a room for Miss Abby. Come on, let's go pick one she might like, Jazz," Alice exclaimed, prancing all around the room.
It surprised me to see my aunt this happy. I've never seen her this happy about a lot of things. Maybe a sale at Macey's or Bloomingdale's, but never something like this. I think my aunt finally will know what it feels like to love and care for her very own child with my uncle.
"Alice, I'm going to have to run some tests on her first, if you don't mind. I just want to be sure we know what she is," Grandpa said gently.
"Of course. Jazz, come on," Aunt Alice said, holding his hand. Uncle Jasper smiled fondly at Abrianna and my aunt before placing her back into my aunt's arms. I then watched as they followed my grandpa out of the house and towards the town house next door for the tests.
"I'm going to help them," Aunt Rose announced as well.
"Me too. This is so exciting, another grandchild," Grandma gushed as she headed out of the room with Aunt Rose.
"Well that was sure as hell was a big surprise," Jacob said as I walked over towards him.
"I guess it was." I shrugged as I sat down next to him on the nearby couch.
"Do you think it means something? Anyone?" Lily questioned once all the adults left the room, well except for Ethan and Jacob, but those two act far from adults sometimes. "This whole thing? What if it's just a sign. What if the arrival of this baby means the arrival of something else for us," Lily muttered, biting on her nails.
"Lil," Aidan said, sighing. I could see he was telling her something in his head.
Aidan and Lily don't use their telepathy like they use to. When we were kids they would always use it to the advantage in games like hide n go seek or tag. Now I don't think they use it like they use to. But then again, Masen and Lizzy have mentioned they've gotten good at hiding it.
"Lily, I'm sure everything will be fine," Ethan said, placing a hand on her shoulder. Lily blushes timidly before nodding at him.
"I guess...Come on, let's go watch a movie or something. I for one, would like to go one day of my life without any drama," Lily said. "I'm sure we can go to grandma and grandpa's to watch one."
"I agree, anyone else want to join?" Masen said, standing by Lily.
"Why not." I shrugged. We then followed the others back to my grandparents house where we set up in their den. I took a seat by Masen and Lily on the couch. Jacob took a seat right next to me while Ethan got on the other side by Lily. Seth, Aidan, and Lizzy sat on the floor while they placed the movie in.
We were a good hour in when my dad came into the room with Uncle Emmett.
"Do you know what she is?" Masen asked, looking back towards our uncle and father. My dad nodded and so did Uncle Emmett. I went to pause the movie so we could focus on the two.
"So? Is she a hybrid?" Lily asked, sitting up.
"Not exactly...She's 75% vampire," My dad said. I frowned and shared a look with the others.
"That's actually possible?" Aidan questioned. "But how?"
"Well how are hybrids possible? A human and a vampire having a child. Well Abby's birth parents were a vampire and a hybrid," My dad explained to us. "Abby's a third vampire. We don't know how fast she's going to grow or what powers she possesses. Right now we know she's powerful and your aunt is determined to protect her. Abby is going to be apart of this family just like the rest of you guys," My dad explained.
"Good. We were meant to be her family." Lizzy smiled, getting up. "Can I see her daddy?"
My dad smiled and nodded at Lizzy. She squealed and gave his legs a hug before rushing out of the room. Seth smiled at us before heading out of the room after her with Aidan following right behind.
"Cool. Another cousin. Even though I'm apprehensive about this whole thing, maybe we can go shopping for her," Lily said, shrugging. "It could be fun. Another baby in the family. Maybe Abby will like to be dressed up unlike Lizzy."
I chuckled. "Maybe she will. After all she is Aunt Alice's daughter."
"Alright come on kids, Grandma made dinner for everyone," Uncle Emmett said, smiling at us.
"So you have a new family member. Excited?" Jacob asked me as we headed towards the dinning room.
I shrugged. "I guess. We haven't had anything new besides the move hit us. Besides, I'm happy for Aunt Alice and Uncle Jasper. They have a child of their own." I smiled as I saw my aunt beginning to feed her new baby with a bottle of blood, that I think has some milk in it. She saw me and smiled, sending me a little wave. I waved back before I took a seat at the table. Lizzy was right next to her, cooing at Abby.
"What else do you predict about Abby?" Ethan asked Carlisle as he entered the room with some papers.
"Well I made a few short predictions. I need to see her some more, but I feel like she's going to be just like a hybrid expect maybe she'll grow faster," Grandpa said, smiling at little Abby.
"Like how much?" Masen asked.
"I think maybe half the rate of a hybrid. Maybe in about four or five years. Most likely four years," Grandpa said.
"Well I think Abby is going to make a wonderful addition to this family. No matter how fast she grows," My mom said as Aunt Alice came towards us with Abby in her arms.
"Can I hold her Aunt Alice?" I asked my aunt.
"Of course Nessie!" My Aunt exclaimed, placing the small child in my arms. I smiled seeing her. She was a cutie.
I then cradled the small child close to my chest. Soon her eyes began to flutter closed and her breaths became even. I smiled, brushing her brown hair.
"Awww. She likes her new cousin," Aunt Alice gushed, kissing my head.
"Well, I guess all that's left is, welcome to the family Abrianna Rosabella Cullen," Masen said, patting Abby's head gently. "Man, I'm glad she has a nickname. How come every child in this family have name's that are mouthfuls?"
We all chuckled as Lily comes from behind to pat Masen's back, "Well my dear cousin, your name isn't a mouthful."
"Try telling people your name is Elizabelle Rosemary," Lizzy said. "For some reason people even pronounce it wrong. It's not that hard! It's just a Elizabeth except with Belle at the end!"
"Try Renesmee kid," I said, rubbing the top of my little sister's head. She just rolled her eyes as she skipped over to my mother.
"Don't you guys like your names though?" My mom asked, her voice sounding a little sad.
"Of course. I wouldn't change it at all. It's unique and makes me who I am," I told her right away. She smiled as she went to kiss my cheek.
"That's right. And the same goes for all of you," My mom said, smiling at us.
We all chuckled as I then handed little Abby to my aunt. I think it was going to be nice having a new family member.
The Cullen family seems to be getting bigger and bigger everyday.
*Lizzy's POV*
"I'll talk to you guys later, I need to catch up with my brother," I told Seth and Aidan as I saw Masen head back to our house.
I was currently at my grandparents home trying to figure out how to build a fort with Seth and Aidan. Sure we had a small garden space, but our parents said we can build one in Aunt Rose and Uncle Em's part of the yard. We planned to make it really cool. Sure it won't be like our ones on the island, but it'll still be awesome.
We all stayed at our grandparents for most of the night while Aunt Alice left with Uncle Jasper to go tuck Abby into bed since she was tired. The people in our family who normally have been going to night classes called in saying there was a family emergency so we could have more time with Abby. Anyway, it's not like it'll be hard for anyone in this house to catch up. Everyone's practically a genius here.
I was so excited to have Abby in our family. Maybe this means I could have a girl around my age to play games with. Even though I love Seth and Aidan, I'd like a girl friend. Renesmee has Lily, Aidan has Seth, and Masen has Ethan.
Sure I made some friends with the kids at school, but I honestly don't think I will be able to keep them for very long. I really like them, but I'm scared to form attachments since I'll have to say goodbye in the next two years or two. It's better if I don't get very attached. I know my sister still misses her old friends from Forks like crazy.
"Okay, we'll finish the blue plans tomorrow. Come on Seth, want to play video games?" Aidan asked my wolf. I mentally smiled at that, my two guy best friends were best friends. Sure, Aidan and Masen were close, but Seth and Aidan have always been really close as friends.
I just hate it that Aidan's growing up faster than me and I'm still the slowest. I just wish I'd have a growth spurt or something so I can catch up with them as well.
"Sure man, I'll play," Seth told Aidan, but then turned to me with a slightly worried expression. "Are you okay Lizzy? You seem a little off?" Seth asked me. I smiled, Seth always knows when something was wrong. I nodded as I jumped up to hug my big wolf.
"I'm fine Sethy. I just need to talk to Masen, that's all. Go have fun with Aide, and make sure to kick his butt at it," I whispered in Seth's ear.
"I can hear you!" Aidan called out from behind him. "I'm not deaf Lizard."
"Good," I said, sticking my tongue out at him. I then rushed out of the house and towards my own. I could see Renesmee was with my parents and Jacob in the living room, so I snuck past them and headed towards Masen.
"Mas, can we please talk?" I asked my brother, stopping him in his tracks.
Before I saw Aunt Alice having her vision, Masen and I were having a talk. Mostly it's because I'm worried. I can tell my brother hasn't been sleeping well and he's been acting up. I was trying to get him to spill, but then Aunt Alice screamed and next thing you know Masen's picking me up and dragging me towards Ness's room.
"About what, Lizzy?"
"Oh you know," I said, coming closer to him. "You and I both know."
"Lizzy, I don't know," He said, rushing up the stairs.
"Aw, come on Mas! Please, let's talk!" I yelled at him as I ran after him up the stairs.
"There's nothing to talk about Liz! I'm fine!" He told me as he tried to slam the door as an attempt to get away from me.
"There is a lot to talk about Masen Anthony Cullen! A LOT!" I snapped at him as I entered his room and closed the door behind me. He sat on the bed while I took a seat on his desk.
"Just talk to me, please Masen. I know your having nightmares or something. What's going on?" I asked him. "I'm your other Lux Lamia, I can feel what your feeling and it's confusion mixed with something else. Just please tell me." I begged my brother.
"Your not a therapist," He argued.
"Actually I read a book about it once, so try me," I respond as I crossed my arms over my chest. "I may look like a kid but I'm wiser beyond my years. I can outsmart anyone in this family if I wanted to, and you know that." I smirked smugly at him. Masen just sighed as he turned to look at me.
"You wouldn't get it. Your a kid still. You don't understand these urges," He said, sighing.
"Just tell me. Please. Let me help," I said, coming closer to his side. "Come on, Masen."
"It's...It's Grace. It's the girl from school. She's driving me crazy in the weirdest way," he said, sighing. "She's in my dreams...And in those dreams she's always in trouble...And she gets hurt and I can't do nothing about it!"
"Do you know why maybe?" I asked him.
"No...Maybe it's the fact I can't read her damn mind...I need to stay away from her. I need to protect her."
"Protect her from what?" I questioned, frowning.
"This...Me! Vampires! I just..."
"Masen?" My brother and I snapped around to see our dad standing in the doorway. I don't think either of us heard him coming. "I think I can help."
"You heard?" I questioned, looking up at my dad. He nodded.
"Don't worry. It's only me who heard. Renesmee and your mother are too busy watching Romeo and Juliet right now. I really can't stand Romeo right now, so I just left Jacob to deal with them," my dad said, half chuckling.
"So...Do you know what's going on with me?" Masen asked our dad weakly.
"It's the same thing that happened with between your mother and I...I think Grace is your mate," He said simply.
"Can you be sure?" Masen asked, looking at the ground. "We just met though. I don't know much about her really. She's just my lab partner and Renesmee's friend."
"I'm sure she is your mate. You may not be in love right now, or know much about her, but it'll happen or something will. You have a connection with Grace, in my opinion...Her mind is blank to you, right?"
"Yeah," Masen answered. "I can tell how she feels at times, but that's it. Other than that it's blank."
"Does that mean it's like you and Momma? He can't read her mind or anything because they're mates?" I questioned, looking at my father with curiosity.
"Well I don't know if it's a mind reader thing, considering you don't have a mate yet. But I just think that this means they have some sort of connection...Masen things will make sense soon, but for now do what you think is right," My dad said, rubbing Masen's shoulder.
"Thanks, Dad...I don't know what I'm going to do yet," Masen said, sighing.
"You'll know son, I promise," my dad said, patting Masen's back before leaving the room.
"Hey Daddy?" I asked as I rushed up to him in the hallway. "Who am I meant to be with? Or...How do I know who my mate is?"
He half smiled at me as he knelt down to my eye level. "Whoever you want to be with, Elizabelle. I won't judge you, ever...Well as long as they treat you well and they don't break your heart. Then I'll have to kill the guy. Same goes for your sister." He chuckled, smiling at me.
I smiled back as I then reached up and hugged my father by wrapping his arms around his neck. "Love you Dad."
"Love you too angel," he said to me. "But do me a favor?"
"Yeah?" I asked.
"Don't grow up too fast. You've still got a lot of time Lizzy, use it. Unlike your siblings and your cousins, you have more time to be a kid. Just enjoy it while it lasts, okay?" My dad said to me.
"Okay. Don't worry anyway, I'm sure I will." I smiled at him. He smiled too and then kissed my head before heading downstairs to join mom, Renesmee, and Jacob.
When my dad left I then headed into my room so I could grab my mythology book. From there I headed towards Masen's room where he was just laying on his bed, starring at the ceiling.
"Hey dufus," I greeted him, chuckling slightly.
"Yes? What is it Liz?" he asked me. I then jumped on the bed and shoved the book into his hands.
"You want to read or do you want me to read?"
He turned around and looked at me with an amused expression, "Liz-"
"Don't worry, I'll read," I announced, sitting next to him as I began to read the words off the page. Masen chuckled as he pulled me to his side. I smiled as I snuggled into my brother's warm chest, reading off the words.
Next thing you know both of us are snoozing away. Maybe my brother needed some sister time. I just hope he'll resolve this problem with Grace, and not do anything stupid.
A/N: So? What did you think? Like the new edition? Think little Abrianna is cute? How did you like Lizzy's POV for once? Btw Im still taking requests. I know a lot of people want Lily's POV, and that's coming up. In the meantime, anyone else? I can do anyone you guys would like. I might do Grace's POV soon or Masen maybe. Also how was everyone's holiday? Mine was good. Spent it with my grandparents. I also got a bunch of Twilight stuff, a lot of it I didn't really think I would get since I literally asked for nothing really besides a few things I needed. Anyway, in the meantime, please review, look out for the next update, and keep on loving Twilight ;)
