Hey!
SO. MUCH. ANGST. This is insane! Some people have been saying Grissom us the father. He is not. And Nick might not be either!

"Okay, so do we know anything about the DB?" I ask Greg from the pool of blood I crouch next to.
"Her name is Chloe Stevens. She's only 14 years old. Hey, didn't you think of naming Hannah Marie Chloe?"
"No, you did." He smiles.
"You should have let me! After all, at midnight when you were 6 months pregnant, did I not go get you chocolate covered cheeseburgers?"
"Those were good!"
"Says you." He starts fingerprinting the are around the blood pool. "So, you finally slipped up?"
"To a possible killer while Nick and Brass watched." He winces.
"So Nick's the father?" His voice cracks. I open my mouth, but no words come out. "Sara?"
"Yes. I think. We had sex around the time she was…conceived." This is embarrassing.
"So did we." I freeze. "So what happened, Sara? You left my apartment and went to his?" I shut my eyes. "You left before I woke up. You left me a note that said sleeping with a coworker was a mistake, and then headed over to his place?"
"It wasn't like that, Greg. I was drunk…upset…confused. I didn't mean for it to happen like that."
"If Hannah Marie was conceived in that week, Sara, I could be the father." His words are clipped, his eyes hard. "Hell, in a way, I already am. I kept your dam secret, I was there during the pregnancy, I saw her first words and first steps. Actually, her first word was "Greggo"! So now, your going and telling NICK STOKES that he's the father? Have you ever concedered a dam paternity test?"
"I don't want to put Hannah Marie through that." My voice is weak.
"Sara, you don't want to put yourself through that. Your scared you'll find out that whoever you want the father to be isn't. What if it is me, Sara? Do you think I'm to irresponsible?" He gets up, pacing. I've never seen him so angry. "If you want Nick to be the father, that's fine. but what if he isn't? You've built a perfect little fantasy, and guess fucking what? It might not come true. Whether you like it or not, I may be the father." He kicks over a chair.
"Greg…"
"Don't you dare "Greg" me. Don't you dare. I'm done. And so is your stupid secret.
