Wrong- part 2
Everyone headed into the kitchen which had all the food placed on the table. Sara and Spencer sat at opposite ends of the table while Marcus, Carly, Sam, and Lucas sat on one side and Charlotte, Gibby, Freddie and Erica sat directly across from them.
"Spencer, why are we having turkey when it's Christmas?" Carly asked confused.
"Hey, no one said turkey is only for Christmas plus we didn't have turkey on thanksgiving so i'm making up for it"
"Oh yeah, didn't you try to-"
"I don't want to talk about it!"
"Well it looks completely delicious, but why don't we have cranberry sauce for the turkey" Erica commented.
"Freddie's allergic" Sam replied before anyone could. Sam didn't notice Lucas glare at her.
"No hes isn't"
"Yes he is"
"No he loves cranberries right Freddie" she turned to Freddie.
"Actually... Sam's right I'm allergic to them"
"Then why were you eating them last week?"
"Those were grapes" he put his hands in his face.
"Aren't they the same thing?" everyone at the table tried to stifle their laughter.
"No Erica, their different fruits"
"Moron" Sam uttered under her breath but Freddie still heard and decided to ignore it. Everyone at the table began to eat and split into small conversations.
"So Sam only two months before the wedding you must be so excited." Charlotte beamed at her.
"She hasn't even picked out her dress yet." at the sound of that Freddie looked up at her and smirked.
"Really,why not?"
"How is that any of your business" Lucas answered for her. Freddie eyes didn't leave Sam who was staring back at him.
"I believe I was asking Sam not you"
"I haven't found the right dress yet" Sam replied quickly.
"But Sam you've barley looked" Carly cut into the conversation.
"Carly, I still have time till the wedding"
"Barley two months, and there's still a lot of planing to be done"
"We can always postpone the wedding"
"No we can't" uncomfortable with the topic Sam decided to change the subject.
"These mashed potatoes are great, Sara did you try a new recipe?"

After dinner, they everyone settled in the living room while Spence helped his wife pass out dessert.
"Mark, that piece of art you wanted is ready for you to pick up" Spencer informed my husband who wouldn't take his eyes off of his blackberry.
"Alright I'll have one of my assistants pick it up"
"You do know that the gallery isn't that far away from your office, I mean god forbid you take a break from working."
"I work Carly, and may I remind you that I provide for the both of us not just me."
"How is the art gallery going?"
"I'ts going great! we actually have a showing on Friday and your're all invited"
"But we completely understand if some of you can't make it i'm perfectly fine with just Carly, Sam, Freddie, and Gibby." Sara elbowed him in the gut.
"He's kidding we would love it if all of you were there"
"Yeah... haha... I was just kidding" Spencer tried to smile but it came out as an uncomfortable grimace. I knew that Spencer wasn't very fond of Mark, Lucas, Charlotte, and Erica and after all the arguments that have happened over time no one could really blame him; honestly I don't even think Sara likes them very much either but being the person that she is she could never see the bad in anyone. That's why we all loved Sara she's the part of Spencer that is sane and they compliment each other perfectly, their mutual love for art was just a bonus.
"Anyways... anything new you guys?"
"Gibby actually has a job interview as a security guard on Monday" Charlotte patted Gibby's thigh.
"Really? I though you were in the middle of inventing a new type of soap that leaves your hand scented all day" I asked him curious of why he changed his mind.
"I was but Charlotte thinks that the odds of that being successful aren't very high"
"Well you won't know unless you try" I tried to offer but Charlotte looked at me with a pointed look.
"You have to look at the facts Carly, it could take years for that to happen and it's not even that good of an idea. I don't think we should waste our time, effort, and money on one of his phases."
"I could not agree more with you Charlotte. I think it's pointless to spend valuable time on something that might not even be successful; take for example Carly's "Fashionista" phase she barley made it a week without running out of ideas on designs" Mark responded.
"Well that's why your supposed to leave time for inspiration, not just give up when you hit your first blank."
" Time is money Carly, you know that" he kissed my forehead and returned to his phone and Charlotte turned over to talk to Erica. I looked beside her at Gibby who had looked like a kicked puppy and gave him a small smile.
"I still think you should go for it, it is your dream"
"Thanks Carly, and I always loved your designs remember when you made me a sweater with my face on it." I giggled at the memory.
"Yeah and you gave it to guppy so that he could remember you while he's away at college."
"Yeah maybe you can make me another one"
"Sure I'd be glad to and maybe I could make you one of Guppy so that when you miss him you could wear it" we shared a smile and continued talking through out the night.

I entered the kitchen and headed towards the fridge hoping there was something in there that would calm my stress and get me out of this horrid day. When I found a piece of ham and a few slices of pizza I knew I hit the jack pot. I decided that I wanted to eat in peace which meant eating alone so I decided to eat by the sink where no one would hopefully see me. After eating two slices of pizza and finishing some of the ham I noticed that everyone had started to watch t.v, which had a Christmas special on, and that Freddie was headed towards me.
"Sam"
"Sup Fredley" he rolled his eyes at the nickname but his face had a small smile on it.
"I'ts been a while since I've heard your nicknames" he came up next to me and I sat on the counter.
"Well it's been a while since we've talked" he nodded his head.
"You know, I still don't understand why you're marring the guy"
"Well the guy asked me to marry him and I said yes"
"So that's all it takes huh... because if I remember correctly I asked you to marry me a few years ago and you didn't say yes" he came closer to me and put his hands on either side of my thighs on the counter.
"Freddie, don't do this again. We've gone over this, it would have never worked between us. Lets just move on from it." his face came closer to mine.
"Why Sam? why do you keep saying that? we were doing so good, we were happy... but then you broke it off, if I asked you to soon I'm sorry I would have waited until you were ready." He looked at me with such sadness on his face, it broke my heart.
"It wasn't that Freddie" I could feel the tears in the back of my eyes. He took my face in his hands.
"Then what was it, please tell me so I can fix it" I removed his hands and jumped off the counter.
"I got scared!"
"I got scared okay!, we were doing so well and I got scared that if we got married something would ruin that and lets face it that something would have been me. If I ruined our marriage I wouldn't have been able to live with myself or ever see you again, so I decided that I rather be just your friend than not be anything to you at all." By this time I had tears running down my face and Freddie stood there in shock. I could hear everyone in the living room saying their goodbyes and some footsteps heading towards the kitchen.
"I should go" I cleared my face and headed towards the exit but before I could leave Freddie grabbed my arm and turned me around.
"Don't marry him Sam"
"It's too late Freddie, I'm marrying Lucas. How about you take my advice and move on as well; you have Erica now and even though she's as dumb as stick I bet she could make you happy some day." And with that I turned around and left.
On my way home I sat in the car next to Lucas, who was driving, thinking about how it would have been if I would've said yes to Freddie when he proposed, would I have been more excited about the wedding planning? the dress?
On our way home I couldn't help but think about how it would have been if I would have said yes to Freddie when he proposed, would I have felt excited about picking out the dress? what about the wedding planing? would I have been more excited about the wedding in general? I looked over at Lucas who was driving and thought probably... but I guess I'll never know.
