Kenickie walked into the Burger palace, a place where he had spent so much of my teenage years. Nothing had changed at all, the jukebox stood exactly where it was eighteen years before, the walls lined with the same tiles, the smell of burgers and milkshakes the same. The only thing that had changed were the customers in it.

"Yo Rizzo! Kenickie" Doody had shouted, commanding all attention to the couple who had just walked in the door. Everyone was there but Sandy and Danny, who had been inseparable since graduation. They walked over to the table, Kenickie's hand gripped tightly around Rizzo's waist, and the smile on her face beaming with happiness, she was too happy for words.

They sat at the table, whispering together, things that the others wouldn't understand. Just out of high school, Rizzo was working in an office and Kenickie as a mechanic. The future didn't matter, they were happy in that moment.

When Sandy and Danny walked in, all the attention was gone, giving them time slip off to the bathroom. Together.

"Guys we have an announcement to make" Danny said as he took Sandy by the hand, pulling her out of her seat. The blonde beauty had managed to become two people, the innocent, preppy girl by day, but by night was every greasers dream girl.

"What do you reckon, engaged or knocked up?" Kenickie whispered into Rizzo's ear, who was sat comfortably on his lap. "Or both?"

"Shut up, Kenickie" She said, her usual rude, playful attitude almost seeming genuine at the time.

"What is it then?" The group was chanting, desperate to hear what Sandy and Danny had to say.

"Well, we're sort of moving in together..." Danny's announcement was greeted with some encouraging cheers.

"Where abouts?" Frenchie asked, excitedly thinking perhaps interior designer could be a new profession to try out.

"Sydney, Australia" Danny mumbled, causing the cheering to stop. Kenickie stood suddenly, Rizzo falling off his lap, grabbed his best friend and took him outside. There was no way he could survive with his best friend half way across the globe.

"Hi" A familiar voice said. Lori had approached Kenickie, and although it took him a moment, he came back to his normal state of mind, realising that 1960 was over. This wasn't Sandy who he was talking to, and there was no stopping the couple going to Australia. They had been there and returned. "You're Kenickie aren't you? Friends of my parents?"

"Course, Lori, Danny and Sandy's oldest. You look so much like your mother its almost scary" He laughed, trying not to take his eyes off of the table not too far from them.

"Do you mind if I sit down?" Lori asked, though did so without waiting for a response. "You know its funny. I always thought my parents lives in America were boring, but now that I'm here, everyone is desperate to tell me stories about them in the 'good old days', I didn't realise that they had so many friends"

"So is that your boyfriend?" Kenickie asked, pointing to his son and ignoring Lori's previous attempts to make conversation.

"The tall one? Yeah. His names Nicky" Lori answered quickly.

"Huh, is he happy?"

"As far as I know"

"Does he have everything he needs, enough money and stuff?" Kenickie asked, though was staring so much at this kid (who he had to say, had inherited the best of both his own and Rizzo's features), he barely remembered that Lori was there.

"I'm sorry, I know this may seem a bit rude but why do you care so much?" Lori asked, confused.

Kenickie took the final gulp of his coke before revealing the truth to someone who was closer to his son than he was.

"I'm his father"

"Will you just shut up! You and me, okay, you and me, we're over!" Kenickie shouted, practically storming out of the burger palace.

"Oh boo-hoo, fine by me!" Rizzo replied angrily.

"Hello?"

"Betty, it's Frenchy, I saw Kenickie today, I think he knows about Nicky'"

Rizzo dropped the phone to the floor, as her mouth hung wide open. Shock and panic had just kicked in.
