~Azura's P.O.V.~

Sector B was taken control of. Hydra members reported news from where no doubt Fury and Hill were fighting for control of the helicarrier. "Alright our plan is to take the helicarrier, we'll have trouble with the Avengers still on board though. Jefferson I want you to take a group of soldiers and keep the Avengers busy in this Sector. Don't let them get anywhere else." I spoke to the suited up team of Hydra members.

Because Jefferson was Hydra both of us had worked hand and hand for the past month to get as many Hydra members in S.H.I.E.L.D. while remaining under the radar. As a result we now had a force as big as all the members of S.H.I.E.L.D. on board. Jefferson nodded his agreement and gathered up a few members before departing towards the Avengers last known location. I gathered up the remaining Hydra members in my control and lead them to battle against S.H.I.E.L.D.

~Bucky's P.O.V.~

We found Tony walking the halls with his suit on, he almost blasted us when we approached him. "Whoa, whoa!" Steve started throwing his hands up. "It's just us."

Tony lowered his glowing hand. "Good. That bastard Jefferson knocked me unconscious."

"We need to get back to Fury." Natasha voiced.

"Agreed." Cap took the lead but his path was blocked by the last person we wanted to see.

"Afraid I can't let you do that." Jefferson said as he readied a machine gun and the army of soldiers behind him followed suit.

"Tell me where my sister is and this won't hurt...too much." Tony threatened, holding up both hands ready to fire.

Jefferson just smiled and opened fire. We barely had time to duck for safety as bullets rained down. Clint fired his arrows like crazy each one hitting it's mark perfectly. Natasha shot at Hydra with her guns, once the last of the members of Hydra were standing Steve and I rushed in fighting them off hand to hand.

Hydra was taken down pretty easily, Jefferson got angry and took out his pistols. I quickly grabbed his firing arm, twisted the bone and brought my elbow down on top of it. My boot found his knee and he fell to the ground. Finally I picked up an unused machine gun and whacked him as hard as I could, I'd be surprised if he didn't get a concussion.

"That's for Azura." I spat on him, then we all continued the way we were going. I walked over Jefferson's motionless body, but I didn't get too far before I heard the click of a gun behind me. I knew Jefferson wasn't finished, and I'd had enough. I grabbed the gun before he could fire, twisted this arm too and used his own gun to shot him between the eyes.

No one spoke as I walked, straight faced, away from Jefferson's dead body, Nothing was going to keep me from getting back to Azura.

~Azura's P.O.V.~

We walked straight into the field, Fury and Hill were waiting for us and opened fire but bullets were no match for me. I paused every bullet in midair before sending them back to the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents.

"Motherfucker!" Fury shouted when he saw his agents drop like flies. He gave up shooting and resorted to a cheap trick. He shouted a command at a computer and the field was shut down. One of my men who had been standing in the doorway was crushed by the emergency door landing on him. The helicarrier was in lockdown mode and every exit or entrance was now closed off. It was only Fury, Hill, me and two of my agents not crushed by closing doors.

Both Hill and Fury had their guns drawn ready to fight. I smiled. "Your attempts to stop us are cute. But you forget...we are Hydra."

"Cut off one head," The Hydra agent behind me began.

"Two more will grow in it's place." The second Hydra member finished.

"Agent Stark!" Fury shouted. "I order you to stand down!"

"I don't take orders from you anymore." I leveled my gun at him.

"Azura!" He repeated my name more forcefully this time. "Don't make me kill you."

I didn't give him a chance to choose as I opened fire and the room exploded into chaos.

~Bucky's P.O.V.~

Good news was we reached the field, bad news it was already closed off. Steve tried opening the door but stainless steel doesn't break that easy.

"Stand aside." Tony said, coming up in his suit. He raised both hands and took a shot at the door, that turned out to be a mistake though as the whole hallway erupted in an explosion.

"STARK!" Natasha yelled. "You could have killed us!"

"Got any better ideas?" He retorted with his usual sarcasm, slowly picking himself up off the floor.

Steve banged on the just barely dented door. "FURY!" Gunshots and shouts came as a reply. Whatever was happening behind that door blocked any sound from outside the room. "Dammit!" Steve swore under his breath. The Avengers were at a loss of what to do.

Just then we heard lightning crash outside, not long after three sets of footsteps could be heard behind us, we all turned to see who it was. I was thoroughly surprised to see Thor, I'd never seen him before but I'd read his case file, he didn't fall short of the whole God thing. Beside Thor was a black haired girl in all black clothes, she wasn't as brightly colored as Thor was but she still looked enough like an Asgardian to me. Walking between them was a sight for sore eyes, Kynthia.

"Kyn!" Nat came up to her and embraced her in a hug, Kynthia laughed and hugged her back.

"Hey guys!" She exclaimed. "Need a little help?"

"Kynthia?" Steve questioned. "I thought you were-?" The question hung in the air, implying what he meant.

"Asgardian magic works wonders." She said while putting a hand on her hip and giving us a confident smile. Steve smiled, after thinking she was dead it was great to see her again. A few more gun shots came from behind the closed door. Kynthia scowled. "What the hell is going on in there?"

"Fury's trapped and Azura's gone terminator." Tony explained not bothering to keep the sarcasm out of his voice.

"I know." Kynthia said grimly. "She's the one who shot me."

"What?" Clint asked but the question remained unanswered when Thor spoke up.

"Why is this hydra monster on your floating ship? I do not understa-"

"It's okay, you don't need to." Steve said putting a hand on his shoulder. "Just help us bring down Hydra."

"For the earth!" He shouted holding his hammer up to the heavens almost crushing the ceiling in the process.

"Anyway, how do we break open this thing." Kynthia posed a question looking at the closed door.

"Maybe if I smash it with my hammer?" Thor suggested but before anyone could protest he stepped forward and swung the mighty hammer. Unlike what happened when Tony tried it the door cracked. Thor saw the progress and continued. Eventually there was a hole big enough for a human to fit through, Thor stepped back and let the others continue inwards.

The field was a complete mess, every desk had been turned over and glass scattered the floor. The only people standing where Fury, and Azura, Agent Hill lay unmoving on the ground. They were standing in a sea of dead agents, hell must have come through this place before we got here.

Tony raised his arms and readied his arc reactor cannons, Thor raised his hammer, Clint his arrows, Steve his shield, Natasha and I had our guns. "Drop the gun, Azura." Tony said a clear warning sounding in his voice.

"Not on your life, metal man." Azura stared at Fury. "Now if you'll all excuse me, I have a mission to complete."

"AZURA!" I shouted and with a million thoughts racing through my mind, I quickly ran up to her and raised the gun in my hand and knocked her unconscious. I caught her before she could fall onto the ground. A small amount of blood trickled down her temple from where I had hit her. I didn't want to hurt you, but you left us no other choice. I carefully lifted her up and handed her to other agents on Fury's orders. All I could do was stand there and watch her be carried off to the medical facility and holding chambers.

I paced around the door where Azura was being held. Banner was in the room taking care of the wound from where I hit her. A little while later he came out and greeted me.

"She's doing well." Banner placed a hand on my shoulder. "Fury is going to want someone to keep and eye on her." He started down the hall.

"I'd be glad to, but wouldn't Fury want someone more qualified?"

"Who's more qualified than you on dealing with HYDRA's brainwashing?" With that said, Banner closed the elevator doors. I stood in thought for the longest time.

~Kynthia's P.O.V.~

I sat with Bruce in his lab after he got back from examining Azura. It was silent for the most part, but I didn't mind. I think I needed the silence after everything going to chaos. Even if my mind wouldn't stop racing without any noise.

"Kynthia?" Bruce laid a hand on my shoulder. I jumped, then I jumped more when multiple crashes sounded around me. I didn't realize I'd been using my power to float a few pens, a laptop and a swivel chair.

"Wha-" I gasped, "S-sorry. I didn't mean to do that."

"It's okay. You have bigger problems." I gave him a look and waited for him to explain. "Thor says your kingdom needs you."

Bruce didn't really offer much else, just said that Thor would describe everything when I talked to him. I jumped down from the table I'd been sitting on and walked out the door to find Thor with the other woman that was with him before, Danny.

Thor paced the room while Danny seemed to be relaxing in a provided chair. I didn't gather much from my time with them on Asgard, once we established I was a princess from some alien planet I demanded they take me back to Earth. Princess of a dying planet or not, my friends were in trouble and I had to help.

Now that we were back I guess Thor still wanted to talk. I walked in not sure what I was expecting. "Lady Kynthia!" Thor came up to me and lifted me off the floor in a giant bear hug. I couldn't even breathe with the way he hugged. "It's good to see you are okay!" Thor laughed heartily, his belly rumbling with the action.

"Thor put the poor girl down, she's turning blue." I heard Danny say from the corner of the room. Thor put me down with a large dumb smile.

Danny started rubbing her shoulders and winced in pain. "I gotta stretch out." She replied then took off her jacket and...spread her wings. I had seen lots of birds and large eagles but I'd never seen or imagined humans having wings...or Asgardians having wings rather. They were beautiful. Her primaries were a beautiful dark black to match her hair, the secondaries were a slightly lighter gray and her silver wing covers outlined her wing color perfectly, and if I looked close I could see flecks of purple in there...Like her eyes… I noticed. Before my eyes Danny brought a hand to apex of her wing and her and sort of glowed. It took me a while to realize she was warming her joints somehow.

"Whoa! How are you doing that?!" I shouted, completely taken by her wings. I ran past Thor and met her with eager hands as I found myself stroking some of her feathers.

Danny just laughed. "I was born with them, you like?"

"Like? I love them! They're beautiful!"

"Yet another exquisite creature created by my brother." Thor spoke up with a hint of pride in his voice.

"You mean Loki is your-"

"Yeah." She confirmed. "But that doesn't matter. Take a look at this!" Her eyes light up and she changed the subject quickly. Danny moved her hand to eye level and with a glint in her eye her hand caught fire.

I jumped back a little when I felt the heat. Running my hand through the flames, I was in awe once more. "You're basically a flying firebender! Like Azura!" My nerd mind went straight to my favorite childhood show.

"Sure if that's what you want to call it. But we don't really have time to admire each others powers. Thor? You should be the one to tell her." I flicked my attention to the giant Asgardian behind me. He was no longer smiling, instead his face had grown serious.

"As princess of Runi, it's urgent you return to your homeland." He began. "Runi and Asgard are at war, only the unification of royal families can stop this war now."

"Why are you at war?"

"Runi seems to think Asgard was responsible for the destruction of it's home planet and disappearance of their princess. At the time my father had fallen into Odinsleep and I was banished to Earth. We believe Loki is to blame."

"Destruction of my planet?"

Thor nodded. "Most of Runi and Asgard believed you dead after Runi's home planet was ravaged. Now that you are found, together we can unite our empires once more!" He exclaimed holding up his arms to signify himself and me, together.

"Wait! What do you mean by unity?"

"Betrothal of course. It is as the allfathers commanded it many years ago."

I was trying to wrap my mind around this but everything was too insane. "You're saying our parents arranged a marriage for us and now that our planets are at war it's the only way to make peace?"

"Yes. I thought that was clear?"

I sighed, placed a hand to my temple and rubbed. What the hell…? The chaos from Hydra may have been over but things hadn't stopped rolling yet and apparently I was caught right in the middle of a war.

"This is insane." I mumbled.

"I pray you understand what is at stake, here. If we do not unite our planets may destroy each other."

"I can't just leave, though! Azura needs my help, I have to help her remember she's not a part of Hydra." My lip began to tremble. So far thoughts of Azura had eluded me but now they hit hard.

"A part of a hydra-" Thor started turning to Danny for an explanation. "I do not understand-"

"It doesn't matter." Danny stood up, addressing me in Thor's place. "I know how important this comrade must be to you but your home desperately needs your help."

"So does S.H.I.E.L.D.! Fury would be furious if I left now!"

"Your home planet must mean something to you, too."

"No, actually, it really doesn't." I said a little too harshly. Danny looked to be getting annoyed. "I was cast out of my home! I never knew my real parents or even what the hell I was! All my life I thought these-these powers made me a freak. I lived under this curse of my birth so you can't come here and tell me I owe anything to the people who didn't even want me!"

The room was silent after I had exploded. Every emotion I'd harbored against my real parents burst forth in a show of rage that wasn't directed towards Thor or Danny but had that effect. I didn't find out what either of them would have said next because I bolted from the room. The chairs had begun to float around me and I kept running, trying to escape the parameters of my own power but the more I ran the more I panicked. And things never ended well when I panicked. I ran up flights of stairs to the uppermost part of the helicarrier. At least there was nothing to levitate there and I could deal with my feelings alone.

~Azura's P.O.V.~

A failure...flunkie...I knew if I ever got back to Hydra I'd be treated as such. If I hadn't hesitated on the trigger Fury would be dead and I would have completed the mission. But nothing went right and now I was stuck in the most boring interrogation with Metal Arm Man.

"Azura. Please try to remember who you were before. You are not a part of Hydra!" He put his hands on the table in front of me and leaned in close for emphasis. I gritted my teeth. This is pathetic…

I turned my head away, deliberately avoiding his eye contact. "Save your breath. I have nothing to say to a traitor of Hydra!" I spat, still looking away.

"Azura, please!" the Winter Soldier pleaded, it was all pointless. There was no way he could sway my loyalty to Hydra, not that I'd join a band of dysfunctional idiots with superpowers anyway. Those days were over. "There must be some part of you that remembers the Avengers!"

Finally, I met his gaze, purely tired of being lectured. I leaned in as far as I could go while being chained to a chair. Frosty's eyes widened and I saw a glimmer of hope in them. We were so close I could feel his breath on my nose. Slowly I whispered; "Hail Hydra." I sat back in the chair and laughed maniacally at his feeble attempts.

Metal Arm Man walked over to the phone on the wall and made a call in hushed tones, but I did catch one name, Tony Stark. He left the room and another man came in. He looked like a douchebag to me.

"Azura, you need to get over yourself and fight the brainwashing."

"Get over myself? I'm not the one with my name plastered to the side of a giant building." I watched him closely.

"Technically, it's your name, too." He leaned against the wall in front of me. "But that's not important. Getting your memories back is."

I had to laugh again. "I haven't lost any memories!" I teased making sure to show my biggest smile as I crushed his hopes of 'saving' me. "I've just been presented with the truth." I sat back once more, clutching the plastic cuffs around my hands. "S.H.I.E.L.D. is inferior and Hydra will rule the new world order. It's simple as that." I leaned forward trying to unhinge Tony's nerves with careful words and playful looks. "There's nothing you can do to stop Hydra. Cut off one head, two more grow in its place. Hydra has shown me the future of the world and it is glorious! You will all watch as Hydra's plans unfold and I will be the one standing on top of your dead body when the last of the Avengers finally crumbles to nothing!" I let a smile play on my lips and started to giggle for affect.

Tony didn't look nervous, though I could tell he was getting agitated. My little brother always had such a short fuse. He rolled his eyes then abandoned his tough act leaning against the wall. He slammed his hands on the desk between us. I swore that desk was only there for those purposes during these interrogations.

"You think you can take on the Avengers! Ha ha bring it sister!" Tony met my eyes challengingly.

"Oh, you wanna go right now, metal man? Put on the suit let's see how far you get." I flashed him a big smile.

"Tony!" The door was thrown open as someone entered. Tony didn't look even slightly amused as Natasha talked to him. "Fury wants you up top." She motioned her head meaning to signify the control room of the helicarrier.

"Tell eye-patch I said I'll see him in hell!" I jokingly called after Stark as he left. I could do this all day.

~Kynthia's P.O.V.~

Turns out trying to calm myself down while I was alone in a damaged engine room of the helicarrier wasn't as effective as I thought it would be. Though there was nothing in here to levitate but there were plenty of things my powers could dent, sending a blast of hot air or loud ringing around me.

I knew I had troubles with my 'real' parents but I never knew the extent my emotions could go after being faced with familial decisions. Truth was I just had no idea what to do. On one hand Thor and Danny needed me to help end a potentially planet shattering war, but S.H.I.E.L.D. had just gotten invaded by Hydra and who knows how far Hydra will go next time something like this happens. Fury would need all the help he could get to finally get rid of Hydra. What do I do…? The question rang out, unanswered in the silence.
