Hoshi: The long-awaited Fire Emblem chapter, awwwww yeah!
Warning: Het, slash, femslash, crack. The Robins are OOC as all get out, and I might have given up on making everyone else IC. This story doesn't really have a reason until the last chapter. And a TON of Fire Emblem: Awakening spoilers! Beat that game first if you care about spoilers! HOLY FIRE EMBLEM REFERENCES. Marth is unimpressed. Marth's love life comes back. The Robins kind of miss Chrom. Marc does not want to do things with Chrom's daughter. I thought I was writing crack. Lucina's part kind of borders on horror. Surprise addition, yeah.
Hoshi: This chapter surprised me. What is this story making me write?

Marth
The Hero King was oddly chipper on this day, walking through the halls with a small smile on his face as he hummed the 'Winning Road' track. Come to think of it, this was the day that the wide range of alternate palettes was introduced to everyone.
"Good day, Hero King!" Marc waved to him.
"How goes it?" Robin asked.
"Oh, it's you two." Marth noted, mood seemingly sinking. "What do you want Chri—er, Robins?"
"The destruction of this world and Ike's death." Marc answered.
"What?" Marth asked.
"Nothing, nevermind that!" Robin quickly said. "Er…we were wondering if you were free some time this week?"
"Are you two hitting on me?" The ex-prince asked, more annoyed than amused.
"Like nearly every relatively attractive character in Smash Bros was/is?" Marc asked. "Yeah, I guess we are."
"I'm married." Marth answered in a snipped tone.
"Hey, so are we!" Robin chirped. "Your spouse can join in if they want."
"Or they don't have to know about us…" Marc winked.
"Tch." Marth rolled his eyes. "Unless you've got a headband and red hair, I'm not particularly interested."
"Well, I have the option of getting red hair." Robin changed her palette to the red scheme. "Look!" She twirled the ends of one of her pigtails.
"Hmph." Marth glanced at her with an unimpressed look. "It's not the right shade." He turned around and left the two strategists.
"As expected of the legendary Hero King…" Marc nodded.
"He'll be a tough one to win over." Robin said as she changed back to her default color. "And was his cape always that purple color?"
.-.-.-.-.
"…what," Marth glared at the two tacticians, "do you think you're doing?"
The tacticians in question were back to their old 'dress-up-as-someone-or-something-else' plan with Marc dressed up as Marth's wife, Caeda, and Robin dressed as Roy, from Pherae. Aside from eye color and height, the two had actually done a pretty good job of it.
"Well, since two of the people you seem to care about the most aren't here, we thought we could try to fill in the huge gaping void in your soul." Marc explained. "Though, it'll be tough since I'm actually way prettier than Caeda…"
Marth visibly twitched at that comment.
"And heck, we can even speak Japanese!" Robin pointed out. "Considering our game had that language option and all, you can go for the full effect with us!"
"It might've worked better if you two switched." Marth said, unamused. The strategists exchanged looks and shook their heads.
"For the first time in forever, I can actually be a pegasus knight!" Marc pumped a fist in the air. "They never let me do that back in Ylisse because pegasi hate men or some silly reason like that."
"And for the first time ever, I can be a red-haired lord!" Robin repeated the same motion as Marc. "Ylisse only let Chrom, Lucina, and your many Einherjar forms be lords!"
"Einher-what nows?" Marth failed to echo.
"Why would you try to take away our newfound freedom?!" Marc demanded.
"I wasn't trying to…?" Marth shook his head. These new smashers were just as foolish as the ones he already knew! "Do what you want. It makes no difference to me." He turned to leave. "You two aren't even close to how they look anyway…"
"I guess I was too gorgeous to pull off Caeda after all." Marc shook his head.
Marth turned his attention back to the tacticians with rage. He stormed over to Marc and grabbed him by the front of his tunic.
"Listen here, you 'not-Chris,'" Marth practically growled, "Caeda is the most beautiful pegasus knight in the entire fucking Fire Emblem franchise, and anyone who dares to say otherwise should be used for target practice where they belong. And you," Marth tossed Marc aside and marched over to Robin. "That." He pointed to her hair. "Is not." He grabbed the ends of her hair, but not enough to hurt her. "The right shade of red."
"Er…yes, sir?" Robin piped up, nervously.
"There are only two people I can admit to having fallen in love with, and neither of you will ever be them." Marth then turned to leave. "And besides, I always hated Chris and his family." Was the last thing he said before he was gone.
"…who the heck is Chris, anyway?" Marc asked Robin. She shrugged.
"That's not important." Robin took out the plan. "What is important is Suppo-I mean, Plan C."
.-.-.-.-.
Marth sat at the edge of the Arena Ferox stage. It reminded him of the arenas back in Altea, though they weren't quite so ceremonious or lavish. A lot of his soldiers would offer to raise funds by fighting in the ring, and he would sometimes join in. If only for the stress relief to deal with all the crap. Caeda would volunteer to go in sometimes as well. It's too bad she'd never be considered important enough to be added to the Smash Bros roster. Not that the roster really needed any more blue-haired Fire Emblem fighters…
"Marth…" Ah, he was starting to hear his wife's voice. Maybe he really was going crazy in this universe. "I missed you."
Wait.
He turned around to see the woman he married in between two tacticians.
"Caeda?!" Marth stood up and walked towards her. "What…how did you get here?"
"Well, I met this 'not Chris' and this 'also not Chris,' and they took me to visit you here." Caeda explained. "They were…surprisingly persuasive…" the pegasus knight looked down and blushed. Marth frowned at that and gave the two strategists a cold glare.
"You…seduced my wife…?" the Hero King asked, slowly. As if the words were hard to form under all that suppressed angry growling.
"Hey, at least now you'll know that she's okay with our proposal." Marc chirped. "So, ready to give us a shot now?"
"What in the world makes you think I'd even consider that?" Marth asked, harshly. "And you'd better tell me what kind of brainwashing you put Caeda through or so help me, I'll-!"
"Hey! Marth!" Oh, that was another familiar voice. Except it was a bit deeper.
"Wha-?" The ex-prince sputtered when he saw him. "Roy, how…?!"
"'Mark, but not the one I'm thinking of' and 'also not the Mark I'm thinking of' convinced Master Hand to let me visit for today." Roy explained.
"We thought these two would improve your mood." Robin winked.
"Um…" Roy blushed a bit. "I like your palette choice." He gestured to Marth's clothing color. "Though it looks suspiciously close to what I wore back in Melee…"
"You're imagining it." Marth chuckled.
"Oh, so you're the Roy that Marth talks so fondly of in all his letters!" Caeda smiled. "I can see why he liked you as much as he did."
"Hey, Caeda…" Marth warned quietly.
"You must be the wife he's told me so much about!" Roy returned the smile. "And likewise, I can see why he's so enamored with you."
"I'm a little jealous, though…" Caeda pouted slightly. "I didn't know Marth had a thing for younger red-haired boys."
"And I didn't know Marth had a thing for blue-haired pegasus knights." Roy cocked his head. "Considering he never did notice that other pegasus knight who had a thing for him…"
"Hey, Marth's similar to Chrom in that respect!" Robin noted.
"What lady-killers…" Mark added. "Though Robin and I are ones to talk…"
"If I wasn't happy to see you two, I'd tell you all to shut up…" Marth shook his head. "Screw it." Marth turned to the two tacticians. "If you two can keep away anyone who'd interrupt my time with Caeda and Roy, then I'll do whatever you losers want."
"Deal." Robin answered.
"Good." Marth turned back to his wife and Roy. "Let's take a tour of the Smash Bros facilities before…retiring to my room for the night?" He suggested, sparkles falling around him.
'I thought only we could sparkle like that…' Marc thought as he stared.
'The Hero King is a man of many talents, it appears…' Robin also stared at the spontaneous sparkles.
"That sounds splendid." Caeda said, apparently used to the ex-prince's luster.
"You don't waste any time as usual, Marth." Roy gave the Hero King a knowing look.
"Well, I do intend to make the most out of your dreadfully short stay." Marth smirked as he led the two away.
"Okay, so he's not in love with us." Marc yielded. "But servitude should be adequate, right?"
"Servitude is probably the best we'll get with the Hero King." Robin nodded.
Ike
"Doesn't he kind of remind you of Chrom?" Robin asked her male counterpart.
"Hmm…he's not pretty enough, though." Marc observed.
"Oh, you're right." Robin nodded. "I bet he's not as smart either."
"You two could include me in this conversation you're having." Ike crossed his arms, a half-offended, half-annoyed look on his face.
"Ah, he noticed us." Marc realized.
"Kind of hard not to when you're right in front of me…" Ike rolled his eyes. "And besides, Chrom's the one who'd look like me since I came first. Not the other way around."
"Well, all the lords kind of look alike since Intelligent Systems has this weird fixation on blue hair and swords." Robin pointed out.
"You're not all that special, Radiant Hero." Marc shrugged.
"Same would go for Chrom, wouldn't it?" Ike said.
The temperature in the room lowered drastically. Ike was starting to regret his one-shoulder pauldron fashion sense, but he never had problems with room temperature before he arrived in this universe! The Robins' eyes glowed a faint purple, and they…are they growling at him? That sound wasn't even close to anything coming from a human!
Ooookay, he could see that he stepped on a landmine here… If he can figure out a way to backtrack out of this, he won't have to deal with more people from his franchise hating his guts. So far, Lucina and Roy were the only ones who didn't seem insulted by his very presence…
"Not that I would know since I've never met him." Ike amended. "Hey, we should check out those new alternate palettes!" He changed the subject quickly.
He flipped through his color schemes, finding a black one.
"Why does this one kind of piss me off?" Ike questioned. He stared at the outfit with discontent for a little while longer before shrugging it off. He changed from that palette to one with a white cape and black clothing. "Huh, I wonder what this one is…" Ike had never had a white cape option before. That was usually Marth's thing.
"Chrom?" Marc asked quietly.
"Chrom…" Robin echoed just as quietly.
"Nooo, I'm Ike." Ike reminded them. "A different blue-haired lord with a sword. The Tellian one."
"Chrom!" The tacticians tackled him to the floor, ignoring what he said.
"Whoa, what-?!" Ike tried to push them off, but they were really clingy. And damn, Robin was a lot stronger than she looked!
"Chrom, we missed you." Marc said.
"Let's catch up in our room, Chrom." Robin suggested, practically dragging him there with Marc.
"But I'm not-!" Ike was interrupted as a hand covered his mouth.
"Stop talking." Marc ordered, faint purple glow in his eyes.
"You'll ruin it for us." Robin added, the same glow in her eyes.
'R-ruin what…?' Ike thought.
"That man is not my father…" Lucina watched the tacticians drag away Not Chrom. "What has gotten into those two? They've been a bit strange ever since we've arrived in this universe…" She turned to see the smashers who fell in love with the Robins…
…why are these smashers dressed like her father?
"Your end is nigh!" Pit announced. "Or something similar to that…" He cocked his head, blue wig starting to fall.
"I will not lose!" Captain Falcon struck a pose. "Hmmm…I like 'show me your moves' better."
'This whole universe is strange…' Lucina thought. 'And if you're going to imitate my father, at least do it right! He doesn't say silly things like that!'
Lucina
"Well, it's not like you haven't done it befo-!" Robin started.
"BUT CHROM'S DAUGHTER." Marc's protest interrupted her.
"You've proposed to her before." Robin continued, not comprehending Marc's reluctance.
"In a timeline where I apparently forgot that she was Chrom's daughter…" Marc muttered.
"Well, that's kind of an impossible thing to forget considering…" Robin pointed out.
"You don't get it, Robin!" Marc whined.
"No, I think I get it." Robin answered. "I'm sorry for teasing, but it's kind of hard not to."
"I don't care for the teasing." Marc brushed that off. "It's just that doing this more than once makes me feel…guilty." He buried his face in his hands. "I married her for a reason I'm not particularly proud of, after all."
"Well, if you really don't want to, then I guess it's up to me to seduce her!" Robin pumped a fist in the air.
"In another timeline, she could've been your daughter, Robin!" Marc pointed out.
"Yeah, what's your point?" Robin asked. "Not like Fire Emblem hasn't done weirder things…"
"Look, I'll do it, just…!" Marc turned away. "Just give me a little time."
"Okay, I'll give you a second." Robin offered.
"I'm going to need more than a seco-!" Marc started.
"Second's over!" Robin interrupted as she walked off. "Time to seduce my possible daughter!"
"ROBIN!" Marc chased after her.
.-.-.-.-.
"Well…this is strange." Lucina found arrows drawn on notes leading to somewhere she couldn't see. What really caught her attention was that the brand of the exalt was drawn below the first note with an arrow. "Are these intended for me?" She wondered, starting to go in their direction, but stopped herself. "It feels like a trap, though." She placed a hand on the hilt of her blade and followed the notes. What she found at the end of the trail was…
…a candlelit dinner for two? That might not have been too strange if she and the table weren't out in the middle of the Gaur Plains. This sounds like a worse romance than 'Make Him Fall for You in a Fortnight.'
"Lucina!" Marc set down the food he made on the table and took off his chef's hat and apron. "I was expecting you to come a bit later…" He cast blizzard on the campfire he used to cook not too long ago.
"What is all this, Marc?" Lucina asked. "We're not married in this universe, you know…" She blushed.
"I know," Marc smiled as he took her hand, "but we both still have those memories, right?" He led her to the table and poured the cups of red wine. "If you're not too uncomfortable, care to humor my foolish romantic side?"
"Hm, I can see no harm in it." Lucina smiled brightly.
Above the pair were the other smashers who fell in love with the Robins, spying on them using whatever aerial advantages they possessed.
"So this is how you guys spy on us…" Robin whistled. She was currently in Samus's starship watching a live feed of the date through a small, private satellite Samus had installed.
Around Samus's starship were the two Arwings, DK's wooden spaceship, some kind of spaceship from Angel Land, and the SS Dolphin. Miles below those ships were flyers like Meta Knight and Charizard. And on the ground level, hiding in bushes were the smashers who couldn't fly like Mario and Pikachu. And let's not forget the completely justified jealous Greninja who was carving more wooden voodoo dolls!
"Well, our starship's got the best reception in the darkest parts of the galaxy." Zero Suit Samus boasted. "You won't miss a thing here!"
"Why do I need to be here?" Ike asked, tied up in a cage.
"You know why you're here, Chrom." Robin said cheerfully. "This is an important date!"
"I'm not Chrom!" Ike protested.
"That's silly!" Robin laughed before her eyes glowed purple and her tone darkened. "If you weren't Chrom, I'd have to tear out your organs and feast on them…"
"You can call me Chrom then…" Ike offered quickly.
Back to the date…
"This was delicious, Marc." Lucina praised her husband-of-another-timeline. "You've gotten exceedingly skilled at cooking! I fear I can only dream of reaching this level…"
"Cooking's a nice skill to have, but you aren't worth any less for not knowing how." Marc reassured her. "I like you the way you are, Lucina. I always will."
"Marc…" Lucina blushed. "There's just one thing that bothers me…"
"Y-yes?" Marc asked, not expecting that.
"Lately, you and your female self seem to be using Grima often." Lucina gave him a level stare. "I don't approve of using that…abomination, but I'm sure you and her have your reasons. It's just…" She leaned in closer to him."You are in command, correct? Grima isn't the one who's making you do all this, is it? Because if it is…" Her hand strayed to the hilt of her blade.
"Rest assured, Lucina." Marc gave her a disarming smile. "I know our tactics may seem a bit extreme, but we're in complete control. Grima will never force us to commit crimes against our will again." Though as he said that, his eyes darkened. "We're the ones in charge."
"Truly?" She asked him. "If what happened in my timeline ever came to pass in this universe too…"
"It won't." Marc said. "It never will." Though his vessel mark glowed as he said that.
"I don't ever want to have to threaten the life of my friend, my husband, my mother… Not again. Never again." Lucina shook her head, tears forming. "Promise me, Marc. Don't put me through that."
"Dry your tears, Lucina." Marc offered her a tissue.
'…n't lis… t… ..im, Luci…'
"We've tamed Grima." Marc smiled.
'Do… …en …o h… …na.'
"What happened in your timeline will never repeat here." Marc put both hands on her shoulders.
'DON'T LISTEN TO HIM, LUCINA!'
"You have my word." 'Marc' promised.
'Luci…! …ina! LUCINA!'
Lucina thought she heard a voice, but found she couldn't focus on anything other than Marc's eyes. Were they always such a pretty purple color? Well, Tiki couldn't contact her in this universe, so that voice was probably nothing.
'Help…please…'
'Marc' grinned widely.
Robin
"…why are we even listed on the plans?" Marc asked, looking over the paper with a bewildered expression.
"Well, technically we are supposed to marry every playable character, so naturally that includes each other, right?" Robin reasoned, seemingly undisturbed by the prospect.
"But we shouldn't have to!" Marc protested. "I mean, we're practically the same person regardless of our slight personality quirks and…differing anatomies." He coughed into his fist.
"True…" Robin nodded. "But you know, back in Ylisse, it was impossible for us to meet outside of outrealms. Whenever we crossed paths, it was either to kill each other, shop, or hire a ghost of us for the Avatar record book. It wasn't until Smash that we could actually talk like this and be friends."
"To be friends with myself is a bit strange." Marc laughed. "To be more than that would make us a little narcissistic too."
"Not that you're too far off from that claim, Mr. 'prettiest princess in Smash.'" Robin gave him a playful shove.
"Prettiest princess save for Lucina, though!" Marc shoved her back.
"I know." She teased.
Marc remained silent for a bit, letting the peace stretch out between them. He looked up in thought and smiled a little despite himself.
"I guess this is good in a way." He decided. "Considering only one of us could exist in one timeline save for outrealms, marriage was a complete impossibility. We're the conquest we could never get save for our offspring that was Morgan because NO and STOP."
"Ready to be seduced then?" Robin leaned in to kiss her male counterpart, silencing any protest he might've had. He narrowed his eyes and kissed back just as enthusiastically.
"You might be the one getting seduced here." Marc said in between hesitant kisses, running a hand through her long, white hair.
"Mmn…" Robin did a little exploring of her own. "Just try to tip the scales." She challenged.
They continued their tentative experimentation, vessel marks resonating lightly. Opening his eyes a slight fraction, Marc could see the faint purple glow of his irises reflected in Robin's similarly glowing eyes. It was all strange and new, but not completely unwelcomed.
"Should we be jealous or turned on?" Captain Falcon asked the other smashers that had fallen for the Robins as they all hid behind…probably one HUGE pillar or something to hide all of those people.
"On the one hand, Robin is currently intimate with someone that isn't us." Palutena pointed out. "On the other, this selfcest fanservice is incredibly stimulating and searingly appealing."
"…hot." Bowser commented.
Bonus Robins
"…what have we wrought in this universe?" Marc asked as he watched the new palette swaps.
"I…I don't know." Robin shook her head. "Palette swaps aren't supposed to work like this, right?"
"Th-they shouldn't…" Marc said, though he didn't sound too sure.
"Why so horrified?" Green Robin asked, a smile on his face.
"You two look like you've seen a ghost." Red Robin noted, her head cocked.
"I doubt a ghost would frighten them." Blue Robin scoffed, crossing his arms.
"If anything, they'd eat the ghost." Blonde Robin laughed, a hand over her mouth.
"The ghost was probably a result of their killing spree…" Assassin's Creed Robin sneered, flipping through his tome.
"Not after they made the unlucky victim their waifu first." Pink Robin tossed her hair.
"Okay, how are you guys existing, why are you all so rude, and finally," Marc turned to Assassin's Creed Robin, "why are you so attractive?!"
"I think they came from our experimentation, and since they came from us, of course they'd be rude." Robin reasoned. "And finally, I think Red Robin is way hotter."
"Well, guilty as charged!" Red Robin flipped her hair.
"Bitch, please." Assassin's Creed Robin rolled his eyes.
"This many Robins could cause problems, though." Robin frowned.
"How so?" Marc asked. "Well, besides the universe possibly imploding from all this sexiness gathered in one spot?"
"If the other smashers find them, they'll fight to keep one of them." Robin explained. "With this many Robins, why would they fight over us? The phase where the smashers fight over us for our entertainment will never come to pass!"
"That is also bad." Marc nodded. "But how are we supposed to get rid of them? I don't know if I can punch my beautiful alternate colored face in…"
"You realize we can hear you, correct?" Green Robin asked.
"Poor fools must be so entrenched in Grima's influence…" Pink Robin shook her head.
"Anyway, you don't have to worry about us ruining your plans." Blue Robin assured them.
"As we are Robins, we know all about your goals, and we're all in support of them." Blonde Robin explained.
"If anything, we're hoping you succeed with this crazy gambit of yours." Blue Robin said, though there was a suspicious glint in his eyes.
"We'll show ourselves out to where we belong soon." Blonde Robin said, though she had a similar glint in her eyes.
"But first…" Assassin's Creed Robin smirked evilly before he pulled Marc into a rather passionate kiss.
"We wanna have some fun." Red Robin chirped before she planted a huge kiss on Robin.
The two default Robins froze as their palette swaps only seemed to deepen the kiss, possibly competing with each other. After a rather heated make-out session, the palette swaps finally let go of them, looking satisfied with the results.
"Ooh, I want to do it too!" Pink Robin latched onto Marc and gave him a just as enthusiastic kiss.
"Milady, if you'd allow me?" Green Robin held Robin's hand in his.
'Wow, what a knight-like gentleman…' Robin thought, blushing.
"O-okay…" She said before Green Robin's eyes narrowed in amusement and gently kissed her.
"Let's take this to our room." Assassin's Creed Robin suggested, tugging Marc and Pink Robin with him.
"Let's kick Ike out of his room and take our fun there." Red Robin suggested, taking Robin and Green Robin with her.
"Are you going with the Social Knight Robins?" Blue Robin asked Blonde Robin.
"It'll be like Nagamas, but with more girls." Blonde Robin nodded. "You won't miss me, will you, darling?"
"A little bit." Blue Robin kissed her. "But I know you always wanted the chance to date or marry or heck, even just kiss another girl, so I'll let you have your fun."
"Like you aren't going to do the same with a guy tonight?" Blonde Robin raised a brow. "You're free to do as you as wish too, dear." She nuzzled his neck.
"Be safe," Blue Robin smiled as his eyes glowed purple, "and do try to restrain yourself just a bit."
Blonde Robin returned the gesture, showing a row of sharp teeth as her eyes glowed similarly.
"I won't make any promises."

Hoshi: I don't know about you guys, but when a friend first saw White-Robed Robin, she called him 'Assassin Creed's Robin,' and that is way funnier than 'White Mage Robin.' Also, all dat selfcest I was not planning for… Oh, and see if you guys can spot all the Fire Emblem references! There are a LOT that I hid! (As a freebie, 'Chris' is the default name of a player character that was similar in nature to Robin in one or two of Marth's games)
Hoshi: At the end of Ike's part where Pit and Captain Falcon are imitating Chrom, their lines are supposed to be "Your end has come!" and "I will not fail!" respectively. Those are two of Chrom's critical hit lines.
