Chapter 8 Do I Know You

Author's Note: Happy Once day everybody! How awesome is it that Once is back? I've missed this show so much. It's so great to have the people from Frozen appearing in season four. They did a great job of casting the characters for Elsa, Kristoff, Annd and even Sven the reindeer. They were spot on. I can't wait for tonight's episode with Elizabeth Mitchell as the Snow Queen and Will Scarlet/Knave of Hearts (Michael Socha) from Once Upon a Time in Wonderland finally making an appearance.

I'm sorry it took me so long to update. I meant to post this chapter a couple of weeks ago during the season premiere but it wasn't ready. I kept editing and adding stuff and the chapter just got longer. But I'm very happy with the way it turned out.

Also I would like to say thank you to the ones that favorite/follow my story CassiesCoolerThanYou, ShizukaRen-Hime, Fanisa, XxCece, right brain, AColorfulMind, Oh my Batman is that Spitfire, LilyAri14, Mr. Kittles3, Vampire Solidarity1, kuttiepie3, SuperNaturalxxFreak, RockstarAddict, Lokisarmyforever, RMahoney, MrsMaynard, moviegirl4001, Bubbles's unwilling master, shikasgirl10, hodhod2011danger, Utatu54,

Happy reading!

It's been three days since Emma and Mary Margaret had returned home. Since things were getting crowded over at the apartment Bridget decided it was time to find another place for her to stay. Luckily Granny's Inn had plenty of rooms available and didn't seem to mind Mimi all that much. Although Ruby seemed to be a little antsy about her. Maybe it was a werewolf thing. Bridget felt bad that she didn't have any money to pay for the room but Granny refused to take any kind of payment. Guess she was still grateful that she helped saved her granddaughter from being killed by an angry mob.

She got a call from Henry that morning inviting her to Emma and Mary Margaret's Welcome Home party at Granny's tonight. When Henry mentioned that it was a pot luck thing she decided to swing by the bakery to buy a chocolate cake for dessert. As Bridget was leaving the shop she almost ran into Dr. Whale.

"Oh! Hey Victor," she smiled.

"Hey, what's up," he greeted her.

"Not much. I'm just buying a cake for the party tonight," she explained.

"Oh yeah, I heard about that. It sounds like fun. It's a shame I won't be there."

"You weren't invited," Bridget asked surprised.

"No. It would be too awkward with Mary Margaret there and all."

Oh yeah! The whole one night stand thing. Yeah, that would be kind of awkward.

"You guys were cursed. You didn't know who you really were at the time," she pointed out.

"Yeah, but I think it's better this way. I doubt anyone would want me there," Victor shrugged.

"I would. In fact, I was going to ask you if you wanted to be my date," she said softly.

Victor looked at surprised. This is was too good to be true.

"But if you have other plans..."

"No!," he quickly answered. He took a deep breath to calm down. He didn't want to scare her off. "I mean, no I don't have plans tonight and I want love to go with you."

"Great," Bridget smiled.

"Great! So what time should I pick you up," Victor asked.

"Is seven okay," she asked.

"Seven is perfect," he nodded.

"Okay. I'm in room 8."

"Okay! I'll see you then."

"Okay! See ya!"

"See ya!"

Victor and Bridget awkwardly went their separate ways, both of them with goofy grins on their faces.

Two hours later, Bridget was putting the finishing touches on her make up. A little eye shadow and there! She was wearing a blue strip sleeveless cowlneck top and skinny jeans. And of course her butterfly necklace. She turned to Mimi who was sitting on the bed.

"What do you think," she asked her pet.

Mimi just meowed, which was cat talk for 'you look good.'

Suddenly Bridget hears a knock at the door. She checked her hair one last time in the mirror. Nice and smooth. She takes a deep breath before she opens the door.

"Hi," she greeted.

"Hi," Victor smiled.

Victor was dressed in a purple button down shirt and black pants. He was also holding flowers.

"You look great," he commented.

"Thanks. You too," she nodded.

"Oh! These are for you," Victor said handing her the flowers.

Bridget's eyes almost popped out of her head.

"Are those orange gerbera daisies," she asked surprised.

"Yeah, I wanted to get you roses but they were out. If you don't like them..."

"No! In fact, I love them. Orange gerbera daisies are my favorite. Thank you," she smiled.

Victor noticed Mimi sitting on the bed, staring at him, her eyes flashing green. He was trying his hardest not walk over to the bed and choke the mangy feline and demand answers but he knew he couldn't do it in front of Bridget.

"I don't have a vase but I'll just set them here for now. I'll ask Granny for one later," Bridget said, setting the flowers carefully on top of the dresser.

"Shall we," Victor said, offering his arm.

Bridget smiled and linked her arm with his.

As soon as she opened the door Mimi ran out in front of them. She went out through an open window in the hallway, where she ran across the front lawn and into the streets.

Bridget and Victor soon left the room and headed toward the party. Unknown to them the mysterious newcomer was coming out of his room, which was right across the hall from Bridget's. He tried to open the door but it was locked. He waved his hand and the door magical opened. Slowly he made his way inside. He noticed the flowers just lying on the dresser.

She always did love orange gerbera daisies, he thought.

He snapped his fingers and soon the flowers were magically in a blue vase. That's better.

After searching through her belongings, he finally found what he was looking for. He takes out Bridget's hair brush from her purse and takes some of her hair. Making sure that everything was back in place he leaves. Just as he leaves the room, he bumps into Ruby in the hallway.

"Hey, what were you doing in Bridget's..." he snaps his fingers and Ruby is frozen in place like a statue.

"You didn't see anything. You're gonna ask if I want clean towels and then you're gonna go down to the party," he instructs her.

He snaps and soon Ruby was smiling, like nothing happened.

"Oh, I'm so sorry. I didn't see you there," she apologize.

"It's all right," he assures her.

"You're the new guest, right? What was your name again? Mr..." she trailed off

"Skylar. No, mister though. Just Skylar," he tells her.

"Well, Skylar, did you need more towels or anything," Ruby asked.

"No, I'm fine. But thank you. I'm just gonna stay in my room for a while and read a book. I heard you guys are throwing some kind of party at the diner," Skylar said.

"Yeah, a couple of friends just came home and we just wanted to welcome them back," she explained.

"Sounds like fun. Well, I don't want to keep you. So good night," he said.

"Good night."

Skylar watched as Ruby disappointed down the hallway before going back into his room. He waved his hand and a large table appears in the middle of the room, along with potions, beakers, jars of variety of things like rat eyes and crow's feet and more magical ingredients. Skylar takes out Bridget's hair from his pocket.

Now that he had the key ingredient he can finally get to work.

Bridget was sitting at the bar with Victor, where he was telling her a funny story involving a patient at the hospital. She laughed so hard she almost spilled her drink. She was having a great time. At first she was worried that World War III was about to start when Regina showed up unexpectedly. It turns out Emma invited her without telling her parents but she believed Regina earned the right to be there. Everyone wasn't so convinced but they did seem to like the lasagna she brought, which was surprisingly delicious.

She turned to see Regina sitting alone in one of the booths. Bridget remembered seeing Henry with her earlier but he was now talking to Mary Margaret. He was probably asking her what happened in the Enchanted Forest. Seeing Regina alone made her feel sorry for the queen.

"I'm gonna talk to Regina for a bit," she told Victor.

"I don't think that's a good idea," Victors suggested.

"Come on! If she wanted to incinerate us, she would have done it by now. Plus, she's on her best behavior. And the lasagna was good," Bridget pointed out.

"I don't care how good it was. I don't trust her," he argued.

"Well, I think we should give her a chance."

"You always say that. You trust people way to easily. Like the time when you..."

"When I what," Bridget asked confused.

What the hell was he talking about, she thought.

Victor realized his slip up and tried to change the subject.

"Look, I just don't want you talking to her," he said.

Now she was starting to get annoyed

"I'm sorry I wasn't aware I had to ask for your permission to talk to people," she snapped.

"I didn't mean..."

"Whatever. I'm gonna talk to her. Deal with it," she announced.

She grabs a couple of slices of chocolate cake from one of the tables and walks over to where Regina was.

"Mind if I join you," Bridget asked her.

Regina looked at like she was some kind of circus freak.

"Are you talking to me," Regina asked confused.

"No, I'm talking to the 'other' mayor of Storybrooke," Bridget said sarcastically.

"Are you gonna pull my hair again," she remarked.

I'm sorry, how old are we again?

"Are you gonna magically tie me to a tree," Bridget snapped back.

When she mentioned tree Regina right away shuts up. Without another word Bridget slide into the seat across from her and offers her a piece of cake. Regina raised an eyebrow but before she could say anything Bridget cuts her off.

"Just eat your cake," she pointed out.

Regina decided not to say anything and enjoy her dessert.

Victor was watching the two women eating in silence. He didn't mean to make Bridget upset but he couldn't help it.

*Flashback*

It was the first week of the month, which meant a visit from Victor's betrothed and her family. It was an arrangement that their mothers had. During the first week of every month the families would go back and forth between worlds to visit each other. This month was Jessa's turn to visit the Frankenstiens.

Oh how Victor loathe these visits.

An entire week of listening to Jessa talk about superficial nonsense and getting nauseous from smelling her cheap lavender perfume.

Victor was in the living room with his father and brother, waiting for their arrival. Soon they arrived in a flash of light. He see Jessa's parents holding a blue orb in their hands. He remembered asking his mother about it once when he was younger. Elizabeth explained that it was traveling orb that has been Lorcan's family for generations. It allows people to travel to any realm whenever they wish. Lorcan's family believed it was too valuable to share so they kept it hidden from the outside from world, except for family members.

"Lorcan and Sarah, how wonderful to see you," Alphonse greeted his guests.

"It's good to see you, Alphonse," Lorcan declared.

Alphonse pulls Lorcan into an embrace. Then he turns to Sarah, kissing her on the cheek.

"You look stunning as always, my lady," Alphonse winked.

"You are too kind," Sarah smiled.

Then he turned his attention to Jessa, who was waiting impatiently to be acknowledged. She was wearing a very expensive dark orchid dress and an even more expensive diamond necklace from her neck. Of course. Jessa had to look her best.

"There is my future daughter-in-law. How are you, sweetheart," Alphonse asked her.

"I'm well, thank you," Jessa replied.

Even though she was polite Victor could see right through her. What she really wanted to say was, 'it took you long enough to notice me, you old fool.'

When it was Bridget's turn, Alphonse did a double take.

Bridget was wearing a lovely deep sky blue dress with her halfway up in a bun. She was also wearing the butterfly necklace he gave her on her 16th birthday. She did say she would never take it off. While Jessa had some of Lady Sarah's physical traits, like same red head and chin. Bridget, on the other hand, was an exact copy of their mother.

"My god! Bridget is that you? You're getting more beautiful every time I see you."

Victor couldn't help but agree with his father. She really was beautiful. He's honestly never seen anything more beautiful in his life.

"Thank you Lord Alphonse," she blushed.

"Call me Alphonse. None of that 'lord' business. We're going to be family very soon," Alphonse explained.

Of course! Next year he and Jessa will finally be wed. Even though they've been preparing for years for this, Victor prayed that day wouldn't come. The very thought of spending the rest of his life with Jessa of Skyland made him sick.

"Father, why don't we let them get them settle in," Gerhardt suggested.

"Excellent idea, son. Tom! Hector! Help our guests with their things," Alphonse called a couple of servants.

Two young men, who looked no older than nineteen, come into the room and started taking the royal family luggage. When Tom, the tall skinny one, tried to carry Jessa's trunk he accidentally dropped on her foot.

"Ow! You idiot!," she yelled in pain.

"I'm sorry ma'am," Tom declared.

Victor had to bite his lip to keep from laughing as he watched his fiancee hop on one foot. Hector, the chubby servant boy, tried to help Bridget but she politely said no. That was just like Bridget. She never felt right about letting servants carry her things.

"Hey Bridge," Victor greeted her.

"Hey Victor! How are you," she smiled.

"I'm good. Where's Demetri," he asked curious.

"He couldn't make it. Rolland was feeling sick so he and Julia decide to stay behind and look after him," Bridget explained.

"I understand. Here, let me help you," Victor said taking her bag.

"Victor, you don't have to... "

"I want to."

Bridget maybe stubborn but he can be just as stubborn as her. Finally she let's him carry her bag.

The rest of the week was hell. He was forced to show Jessa around town, where all she did was shop and yell at the merchants when she felt she was trying to cheat her. It was so mortifying. Although it wasn't entirely horrible. When he wasn't with Jessa, he would spent time with Bridget. Sometimes they would go to a show or the gardens or he would just listen to her play the piano. He always loved spending time Bridget. She was so loving and full of life.

One morning when he was coming down to the dining room for breakfast, he found Bridget already down there talking to his assistant, Igor. Bridget was laughing at something Igor said and he noticed the way Igor was looking at her. Victor never considered himself a jealous man, but in that moment he was suddenly overcome with the urge to pick up the candle holder that was in the middle of the table and club his assistant over the head with it.

Bridget must have sensed that they were being watched because she looked up and waved for Victor to join them. He sat across from them, where he was giving Igor the evil eye.

"Igor, what brings you here this morning? I wasn't expecting to see you until later," Victor asked.

"Hello doctor. I was just dropping off some of your notes you left back at the lab. Lady Bridget and I just started talking. She's quite delightful," Igor answered.

"Thank you but it's just Bridget. I don't like titles," Bridget told Igor.

"Very well Bridget. Perhaps if you're not too busy I can take you out to dinner sometime," Igor suggested.

Bridget was about to answer but Victor suddenly jumped in.

"Actually Lady Bridget is quite busy. She has to help my fiance pick out flowers for the wedding," Victor quickly lied.

Bridget stared at Victor, shocked by his sudden rudeness.

"Oh! Well, perhaps another time than. I should go. I'll see back at the castle, master," Igor said getting up to leave.

"Yes, good day Igor," Victor said.

"It was pleasure meeting you, Bridget," Igor told Bridget.

"And you as well," she smiled.

Igor bowed and left the room. As soon as Igor was gone, Bridget turned her attention to Victor.

"What was that," she demanded.

"What was what," he asked innocently.

She folded her arms across her chest and frowned.

"You were rude to him."

"I have no idea what you're talking about," Victor said, helping himself to some bread.

"All Igor did was invite me to dinner. I don't understand why you're acting this way," Bridget pointed out.

"You trust people too easily. When a man invites a woman out to dinner... it usually means more than just dinner," Victor explained lamely.

Bridget looked at him like he just insulted her intelligence, because in a way he did.

"First of all I am well aware what happens between a man and woman in those of situations. I'm not a child. Second, if something does happen it's none of your business. And third, I thought you liked Igor. You always talk about what an amazing assistant he is and how you would be lost without him," she pointed out.

"Igor is an amazing assistant but that's not the point. He's not good enough for you. I forbid you to see him," Victor cried.

As soon as the words left his mouth, he wanted to take it back but it was too late. Bridget's head was about ready to explode.

"Forbid me? I wasn't aware I had to ask your permission."

"Bridget, I... "

"I expected this kind of thing from my brother, but not from you. I thought we were friends," she snapped.

"We are friends! I just... "

"Good morning," a voice called out.

They quickly stopped arguing as Gerhardt came into the dining room and took a seat next to his brother.

"Morning," Bridget greeted him.

"Good morning, brother. Where is everyone," Victor asked him.

"Lord Lorcan and Lady Sarah will be down shortly. Father is in his study going over some important papers. And I believe Jessa is still deciding on what to wear," Gerhardt explained.

I give her an hour at the most, Victor thought.

"Do either of you have plans for today," Gerhardt asked the two.

"Jessa and her parents are going into town. I have some work to do in my lab," he said.

"I was thinking of having dinner with a friend but my plans have changed," Bridget said, while shooting a cold look at Victor.

Victor could actually feel chills running down his spine from her stare. Gerhardt sensing the tension in the room decided to be peace maker.

"Well, if you're not doing anything maybe you we could go horse back riding."

"That sounds like fun. Why don't we go now? I don't feel like staying in today. I'll go change," she said quickly leaving the room.

"Okay, what's going on," Gerhardt asked Victor, as soon as she left.

"Nothing."

"That wasn't nothing. Bridget couldn't get away from you fast enough. What did you do?"

Victor knew he couldn't lie to his brother.

"Igor was here not too long ago and he asked Bridget out to dinner," Victor explained.

"And..."

"And... I sort of forbidden her to go," Victor said slowly.

"Victor," Gerhardt scolded.

"You weren't here! You didn't see what I saw. Igor was all... charming... and making her laugh... and... complimenting her," Victor declared pathetically.

"Oh no! Laughter and compliments. Should I inform the town folks to grab their torches and pitch forks," Gerhardt said sarcastically.

"It's not funny," Victor said, drinking his tea.

"Will you just admit you're in love with her already," he demanded.

Victor choked a bit on his tea.

"What," Victor sputtered.

"Oh come on! I've seen you two together," Gerhardt pointed out.

"I don't know what you mean," he stammered.

"You finish each other's sentences. You laugh at the same jokes. And whenever you're around her, you get this twinkle your eye. It's the same look Lord Lorcan gives Lady Sarah. The same one father used to give mother."

Victor didn't know how to respond to that.

"Look, I'll go to talk to her. Just think about what I said," Gerhardt said.

Victor ignored as him as he left. He was so busy with thoughts he didn't notice Jessa and her parents sit down at the table.

"Victor," a voice called out to him.

"I'm sorry what," Victor exclaimed.

"Are you all right, lad?" Lorcan asked him.

"Yes, I'm fine," he said.

"Well, as I was saying..." Jessa began but he right away tuned her out.

He just couldn't stop thinking about what Gerhardt said to him. Victor admits he loved Bridget as a friend, even as a little sister, but he wasn't in love with Bridget. It was ridiculous. Wasn't it?

*End of Flashback*

He watched as Bridget and Regina began talking. It looked like she had things were under control. Maybe she was right and he just overreacted. He should apologize to her.

"Hey Dr. Whale," a voice called to him.

He turned to see Henry sitting next to him.

"Hey Henry. You having a good time," Victor asked.

"Yeah. I'm having a blast. I'm glad you came."

"Well, Bridget invited me actually."

"So, you're on a date!," Henry declared happily.

"Yeah, but I'm not so sure anymore," he said sadly.

"What do you mean?"

"I kind of made her mad."

"Why don't you just apologize?"

"I want to... but... it's complicated. I'm... afraid of saying the wrong thing," Victor confessed.

"So make it simple. Just say you're sorry," Henry shrugged.

As they were talking, they didn't notice Bridget glancing their way. She didn't know why but seeing Victor with Henry made her warm and fuzzy inside.

"I've noticed that you and Henry have grown quite close," Regina said, interrupting her thoughts.

Bridget turned her attention to her and just gave her a polite smile.

"Yeah, he's an amazing kid. You did a great job raising him," she replied.

Regina looked at her surprise. It's been years since anyone said something nice to her.

"Henry reminds me of my nephew, Rolland, when he was at that age."

"How old is your nephew now," Regina asked curious.

"Sixteen."

Bridget looked over her shoulder and as if sensing her present he looks over in her direction. She noticed the look in his eyes, letting her know that he was sorry about before. It was strange. He didn't even have to say anything but she somehow knew.

"You also seem to be quite close to the doctor," Regina said, giving her a knowing look.

She turned her attention back to Regina, trying to act normal.

"Oh! Um... we're just... friends," Bridget said shyly.

"But you're on a date," Regina said.

Bridget began to feel her cheeks go red.

"Let me give you some advice, Ms. Davenport. When you find love, hold on to it and whatever you do don't let it go," Regina said.

Now it was Bridget's turn to look surprise. She was getting dating advice from the Evil Queen? It seemed like hell froze over.

"What makes you think it's love," Bridget asked curious.

"It's the way Whale looks at you. He has this twinkle in his eye, like you're the only one in the world that matters. Daniel would look at me the same way," Regina smiled sadly.

Bridget wanted to comfort her but knew Regina didn't want her pity.

Suddenly Victor is standing in front of their booth, looking nervous.

"Um, Bridget... I... " he began to say.

She watched as he tried to find the words to say.

"Can I walk you back to your room," he finally asked.

It wasn't the apologize she was expecting but maybe he didn't want to do it in front of Regina and everyone else in the diner.

"All right," she said standing up.

"Have a nice evening, Ms. Davenport," Regina said.

"Thanks," she smiled at the queen.

Bridget said a few quick good nights to a few people before they headed back to the inn.

*Flashback*

Bridget and Gerhardt spent most of the day riding around the country side. After a while they decided to rest near a beach. They tied the horses near some trees, while they walked along the sand. It was beautiful day with the sun shining and the birds were singing. It makes you forget about your troubles... almost. Bridget just couldn't understand what had gotten into Victor this morning. It wasn't like him. It was almost like he was... jealous? No! That was impossible.

"Bridget, are you all right," Gerhardt asked her.

Bridget nearly jumped out of her skin. Almost forgetting she wasn't alone.

"I'm fine," she said,

She picked up a rock and threw it into the water.

"You want to talk about it," he suggested.

"About what?"

"About Victor."

At the mention of his name she picked up another rock and threw it harder.

"Look, he was just..."

"Don't defend that idiot to me!" she snapped.

"I'm not. And for the most part, I agree with you. As brilliant as Victor is he can be clueless at times. But he's not the only one," Gerhardt pointed out.

"What's that suppose to mean," Bridget demanded.

"How long have you been in love with my brother," Gerhardt asked.

Bridget was so surprised by his words that tripped over her long skirt and fell.

"Ah!" she cried out, as she fell face first into the beach.

Gerhardt went to help her up. Bridget started spitting out the sand in her mouth.

"You okay," he asked.

"Yeah. I'm all right. Thank you," she said.

"Good. Now about my brother."

"I am not in love with Victor! I don't know what gave you that idea," she argued.

She pretended to find an interesting shell but Gerhardt wasn't buying it.

"Maybe everyone else is ignorant to what's going on between you two, but I'm not. I am amazed how you two are pretty much on the same wave length. It's almost like you share the same brain. It's so different with Jessa. When he's with your sister, he's miserable and can't wait to get away from her. When he's with you, he's so happy and... alive. I haven't seen him like that in years, not since our mother passed away," he explained.

Bridget didn't know what to say. I mean, she did love Victor but she didn't 'love' him. Not like that. At least that's what she thought.

"Gerhardt even if what you said was true, I can't have feelings for Victor. He's engaged to Jessa and I can't betray my sister like that," she protested.

"With all due respect, but you and I both know that Jessa is entirely wrong for Victor. She's vain and selfish and to this day, I still can't believe you two are related. You need to talk to him," Gerhardt encouraged.

Bridget stood there, thinking about what he just said. Did she really have feelings for Victor? And did he feel the same way about her?

"All right, fine! He mentioned something about being at his lab today. Where is that exactly," she asked.

"It's our summer castle. It's an hour ride from here. That way," Gerhardt pointed north.

"Thank you," she said.

After giving him a quick hug Bridget runs to get her horse. She hops on and rides off to find Victor.

An hour later she finds herself outside the gates of Frankenstein's summer castle. The castle looked vaguely familiar. She must have visit here once, when Victor's mother was still alive. Of course the castle looked a lot nicer back then. If it wasn't for the lights in the windows she would have guessed it was deserted. She quickly gets off her horse and makes her way toward the gates. Bridget tried to pull the gate open but it was locked.

"Hello! Anybody here? Victor!," she cried out.

Soon she sees Igor approach the gates, carrying a lantern.

"Lady Bridget, what are you doing here," Igor asked surprised.

"Hello Igor! I need to talk to Victor. Is he here," she asked.

"Yes, he's in the north tower but he's in the middle of an experiment right now," he explained.

"Please, it's important," she begged.

Igor hesitated for a moment before opening the gates.

"Thank you," she said.

"Your welcome. I would love to stay but I have a family emergency. My mother isn't feeling to well," he said.

"Of course! I hope she gets better," she said.

"Thank you!"

She watched him disappear into the night before she turned her attention back to the castle. Bridget walks through the gates and up the steps to the castle. She knocks a couple of times but no answer. She tries the doorknob and with a quick turn it opens. The main hall was filled with strange machinery. Although this shouldn't surprise her. Victor always liked to tinker with things.

Suddenly she heard some noise echoing through the castle. After much searching she found the door that leads to the north tower. She opens it to reveals a spiral staircase that leads to the top. Luckily she didn't have to climb far. Soon she was in Victor's lab and she couldn't help but look around. There were chemicals and notebooks on one table near the far wall. Also there were a couple of autopsy tables in the center of the room and a large water tank. She looked up and notice a giant skylight on the ceiling, where there was a beautiful view of sky. She watched as the sky was turning from day to night right before her eyes.

"Bridget," a voice called out.

She turned to see Victor coming out from shadows behind her.

"Victor," she greeted him.

"What are you doing here," he asked surprised.

"I wanted to see you. We need to talk," she explained.

Victor looked uncomfortable with that idea but quickly shook it off.

"I can't. I'm rather busy," he said walking pass her.

Victor didn't even bother to look at her. Oh no he didn't! She didn't come all the way to his stupid castle just for him to ignore her.

"Victor Frankenstein don't ignore me when I'm talking to you!" she snapped.

Victor turned around and looked at her annoyed.

"Bridget, I'm in the middle of... ," he explained.

"I don't care! This is more important than your silly experiment! You've been acting weird all day. First with Igor and now you're acting as if I don't exist. What is the matter with you? I came to talk to you and you won't even look at me and I'm so confused and frustrated I just want to..."

She didn't know what came over her but in the middle of her rant she grabbed Victor's face and pulled him into a passionate kiss. Bridget was no stranger to kissing. She's kissed her fair share of young men. They were nice but nothing special. When her lips came in contact with his she felt her world begin to spin out of control. She was the first one to break the kiss and she saw Victor looking at her with shock eyes.

Bridget quickly backed away from him as if he just burned her.

"Oh god! I'm so sorry," she apologized.

"Bridget, it's all right," he assured.

"No it's not! I kissed you! You're engaged to be married... and to my sister! What is wrong with me," she cried out.

She started to pace back and forth trying to figure out what to do.

"Calm down," Victor told her but she wasn't listening.

"I shouldn't have come here. What was I thinking? This is all Gerhardt's fault. He put those stupid ideas in my head," she babbled.

"What ideas," Victor asked curious.

"He thinks you're in love with me and I know for a fact that's impossible," she declared.

"It's not," he said softly.

"Exactly... wait what?" Bridget stops pacing as she looks at him startled.

Before she knew what was happing Victor was moving toward her, taking her hands into his. They were surprisingly sweaty.

"What my brother said to you is true. About how I feel about you," he confessed.

"I don't understand..."

"I love you. I am absolutely madly in love with you. I'm sorry for what happened this morning but I couldn't help it. The thought of you with Igor or any man in general drives me crazy. But it helped me realized how much you mean to me. I love seeing you smile, it's brighter than the sun. I love seeing you stuff with face with chocolate and it end up all over your face. I love every little thing about you."

Bridget stared at Victor in astonishment. Was this really happening?

"Say something," Victor begged.

"Victor... I... we can't do this," she declares.

She tries to break free from him but he still holds on to her hands firmly.

"Please Victor! We need to forget this happened," Bridget pleaded.

"No! I don't want to forget and I can't go back to pretending that everything is fine. It's not! I'm about to marry someone I can't stand when it's really you I want. Doesn't that mean anything to you? Do you love me," Victor asked.

She wanted to deny her feelings but seeing Victor close to tears nearly broke her heart. She couldn't lie anymore.

"Of course I love you! I can't remember a time when I didn't. I thought it was just a silly crush and I would get over it. But my feelings for you only grew. I think about you all the time. I count the days until I see you again. And I know if we do this, I won't be able to let you go," she confessed.

"You make it sound like that's a bad thing," he said hoarsely.

He pulled her towards him and crashed his lips to hers. She reached her hands up and rested one on his chest and the other snaking around to the nape of his neck. He placed his hands on her hips, pulling her even closer. She gasp as she felt his hard length pressing up against her. As their lips moved in sync, Victor's control begin to slip. Without breaking the kiss, he lifts her up and carries her to one the autopsy table and sets her down. Her legs wrapped around his waist and knew that he had to have her now. As if reading his mind Bridget pulled away and started unbuttoning his vest while he worked on the laces of her dress.

Soon their clothes were scattered all over the floor and spent the better part of the evening making sweet love.

*End of flashback*

Victor and Bridget didn't say a word on their way back to the inn. It wasn't until they reached Bridget's room that Victor decided to say something.

"I'm sorry," he declared.

"Sorry for what," she asked.

"About Regina. You were trying to help someone and I acted like a jerk. I'm sorry," Victor apologized.

Bridget looked at him and saw that he was being sincere.

"It's okay. You were being cautious. I mean, Regina didn't get the title of the 'Evil Queen' for selling girl scout cookies," she joked.

Victor chuckled at her little joke and she joined him with a big smile on her face.

"You have such a great smile," he declared.

"Oh come on!" she said, feeling bashful.

"I'm serious. I love seeing you smile, it's brighter than the sun," he told her.

As he said that Bridget was suddenly hit by deja vu, like she heard this before.

"I also love seeing stuff your face chocolate..." he started but Bridget finishes his sentence.

"...and it ends up all over my face."

They stare at each other not knowing what to say next. Bridget was very confused about what was happening. Victor wanted to jump for joy that she was showing signs that she was remembering, but kept his cool.

"Can-can I ask you something? I know this is gonna sound crazy but... do you know me," she asked.

"What do you mean," he asked curious.

"Ever since I've got here I've been feeling deja vu, pretty much everywhere I go, especially with you. I know I've never met you before but you feel so familiar. You say things that trigger something in me, like I've heard it all before. And you do these little things, like giving me orange gerbera daisies, which are my favorite and that can't be a coincidence. Also I see these flashes in my head. I mean, one minute I'm here in Storybrooke and the next I'm wearing some princess dress or surrounded by burning houses and it's very freaky confusing. I just have to know... do I know you?"

Victor still kept a cool despite the urge to kiss her senseless. He wanted to come clean but he took the coward's way out.

"No," he replied.

Bridget's felt her heart break a little. She was hopping that she wasn't imaging things and that maybe Victor felt what she was feeling. Apparently she was wrong.

"Oh okay. I was just wondering. Well, I should get some sleep," Bridget said, awkwardly.

"Yeah, me too. Work tomorrow and all," he said.

"Right. Well, good night."

"Good night."

Bridget turned to unlock her door and shuts it behind her. She turned on the light and heads for bed. She expected to see Mimi but she was nowhere in sight. She's probably doing what cats do. Then she notices the flowers on the dresser were in a vase now.

That's weird. Where did that come from, she wondered.

Suddenly she hears a knock at the door. She opens the door and sees Victor looking nervous but determine.

"Victor," she asked.

"I lied," he admitted.

"About what," she asked confused.

"About not knowing you. The truth is that I do know you," Victor said.

Before she could say anything he leaned in to kiss her. At first he was afraid that she was gonna freak out and push him away. But instead she was grabbing him by his shirt and pulling him into the room. Victor shuts the door behind as they made their way toward the bed, without breaking the kiss. They start to remove each other's clothes. Bridget manages to remove his shirt and Victor removes her. She was about to undo his belt but he stopped her.

"Wait!" he declared.

"What is it," she asked concerned.

Victor doesn't say a word. He just stares down at the beautiful creature that was lying beneath him half naked. How many times did has he dreamed about this moment. To have his Bridget back in his arms she belonged. When his eyes fell on her necklace and he nearly cries. She still has it. Deep down she must still love him despite not remembering him and what he did.

"Victor, what's wrong," she asked pulling him out of his thoughts.

Victor just looks into her gorgeous green eyes.

"Are you sure this is what you want? Because if we do this, I won't be able to let you go," Victor explained.

"You make it sound like that's a bad thing," she replied.

That was the straw that broke the camel's back and as he kissed desperately. She parted her lips to allow his tongue to enter and began to wrestle with hers.

Across the hall Skylar was listening to the noises coming from Bridget's room. It took all his willpower not to march over there and pull the doctor off of her. It was happening again. Victor had his claws into Bridget and he was gonna break her heart in the end, just like last time. He had to put a stop to it.

He turned back to the potion he was working on and drops Bridget's hair into the mix. It began to glow a bright pink. And Skylar smiled.

This is gonna fix everything, he thought.

Author's Note: There you have it! Once again, I'm sorry for the delay, but it was worth it. So what are your thoughts on this chapter? Why doesn't Bridget remember? What did Victor do to her? Who is Skylar? Why is he fixated on Bridget? Is he an old lover? Most of these questions will be answered in the next chapter. I'll probably won't start writing chapter nine until after tonight's episode. Feel free to leave a review and let me know what you think. Take care!
