It feels like forever since I last updated. I don't know why I'm taking so long to finish this story, especially since I'm looking forward to the stories that come after this. Oh well, I can't promise that I'll do better, but I can promise that I won't leave this story (or this series of stories) hanging. I shall finish.

"So, boss, how are we going to do this?" Dylen's dad asked as he and older Jade ran to where Dylen and Frank were.

"We need to find a way to distract Frank so you can talk to Dylen." Jade replies, "even the toughest demons can be reasonable sometimes."

"Okay, that works." Dylen's dad says, "But how are we going to distract Frank?"

By this time they had reached the city and they could see the two demons standing in the street. Dylen was just standing there doing nothing while Frank yelled furiously at him to stop being weak.

"We found the demons, now we just need to find a distraction." Jade says as she looks around. Not many people were out and about. But there was three people that caught Jade's eye; Jackie, Uncle, and Torhu. Dylen's dad also saw Jade's family there.

"I think we've found our distraction." He says before going to the three of them.

"Jackie, we need you to help us." Dylen's dad says to Jackie.

"Who is we?" Jackie asks in response, "What do you mean help? Who are you?"

"I'm an agent in section thirteen, we need to get those two under control." Dylen's dad says, gesturing to the two demons.

"If you're an agent why have I not seen you before?" Jackie asks.

"Because he's a future agent, from my time." Jade says as she walks up to Jackie too. Jackie had no idea that the Jade from the future was in the past, so he was surprised to see her.

"Jade, what are you doing here?" Jackie asks.

"We're here to get Dylen." Jade says, pointing to the demon boy. "His dad is going to try to talk some sense into him, but we can't if Frank is there."

"But how can I help?" Jackie asks.

"By being the distraction." Dylen's dad says as he grabs Jackie and yells out to Frank, "Hey Shendu, we've got Chan over here, why not come play with him for a little?"

That got Franks attention. Frank turned to see who had yelled at him and when he saw Jackie there his eyes gleamed wickedly.

"I suggest you run now." Dylen's dad says to Jackie casually. Jackie does run, and Frank follows after him. Dylen's dad watches them for a minute before heading to where his son was.

Younger Jade and Charlie were watching this whole thing happen from behind a building. Seymour would have come too, but he had mysteriously said "Something's coming," before running off to who knows where. The two kids were watching Jackie and Frank fight, but a better description would be they watched while Frank kicked Jackie's butt.

"He's not even trying." Jade says, sounding exasperated. "Why's he just letting Shendu win?"

"Because he doesn't want to fight a kid." Charlie says as he rolls his eyes, "He's too good for his own good."

"There's no such thing as being too good," Jade snapped at Charlie.

"I didn't say there was," Charlie says, "But if he doesn't fight Frank back then he's definitely going to lose."

Jade looks at Jackie with determination in her eyes and says "Not on my watch." And she dashes out of where they were hiding and runs to Jackie's side.

"Jade, what are you doing?" Jackie asks.

"What does it look like? I'm saving your butt." Jade says.

Frank chuckles and says "foolish child, heroism never pays off, as I shall show you." And Frank almost goes to attack Jade when he's shoved to the ground by Charlie.

"Leave her alone, you stupid dragon." Charlie says.

"I thought I told you that you don't get to make decisions here." Frank growls. Frank then gets up and grabs Charlie's arm.

"What are you doing?" Jade asks, worried about Charlie's safety.

"I'm merely teaching this worthless human to stay out of my way." Frank says. He picks Charlie up very easily and throws him at one of the buildings. Jade could swear that she heard the crack of something breaking.

"That is enough!" they all heard Dylen's dad yell. And his voice sounded so intimidating that even Frank stopped. Dylen's dad stormed over the Frank and grabbed his left hand with his own. He then put his right hand on Frank's head and said a spell of some sorts. Suddenly Frank was no longer Shendu, he was himself again.

"What just happened?" Frank asks.

"You just happened," Dylen's dad says, "You lost control and got Dylen to do the same. You let the demon take over too easily."

"I don't know how to not let the demon take control." Frank says furiously.

"Obviously, but just because you can't control yourself doesn't mean you get to drag others down with you." Dylen's dad says, "I was able to get Dylen under control fairly easily, but only after you stopped trying to get him to destroy things." Dylen's dad then leaves Frank to think on what he just said and joins Jade (Both of them) over by Charlie.

"Is Charlie okay?" young Jade asks.

"I'm fine Jade," Charlie says, but it was clear that he was in pain.

"He has a broken wrist, and a few bruises, but nothing serious." Older Jade says.

"How'd he get hurt?" Frank asks as he joins them. They all turn and look at him and Frank decides that he would rather not know

Dylen comes over and joins them, looking slightly embarrassed. He had gotten his powers under control, so he was acting like himself again. But he still had his wings out. His wings were black and red and seemed to be made of both scales and feathers.

"Okay, things got in control just as suddenly as they got out of it." Jade comments. Dylen grins at that comment a little, then his face drops again and he looks like he's listening for something. Dylen then says unexpectedly "Something's coming."

"Seymour said the same thing," Charlie points out, "What is this something that you're both talking about?" Dylen merely points up to the sky where everyone could see a time portal. It was now clear that the 'something' was actually a 'someone'.

Tempus was coming.

Considering I made this part up as I went I think this chapter is fairly good. I think the next chapter should be the last one, or the second to last one. Either way, we are reaching the end of this story…finally.

Reviews would rock, like they always do.
