Annabella ran her fingers through her hair and shivered. She liked heat, simply stated.

Denmark was not heat, in any way, shape, or form. Fifty degrees and ripped clothes didn't work well, either.

"You have to look the part!" Megan claimed, emphasizing on the word look. She had always been good at coming up with backstories or costumes for missions. Annabella thought it was the Halloween fanatic mixing with the fiction writer inside her skull.

"Hey, how you holding up?" Skipper asked suddenly. Annabella moved the Bluetooth in her ear, just now remembering how uncomfortable it was.

"Great, I'm freezing to death, but other then that, I'm doing extraordinary!"

"Okay, I understand you're doing bad, but this'll all be-" Skipper started before getting cut off.

"How could you say bad? Try calamitous out for size," Megan broke in.

Skipper put his hand over the phone speaker. "What?"

"Calamitous."

"Kowalski?" Skipper asked.

"Adjective. Involving calamity; catastrophic; disastrous," Kowalski explained.

"Thank you for being my own personal dictionary!" Skipper yelled from his position to Kowalski.

"Uh, you are welcome, sir."

"Not to be rude, but I think we should be quite now," Private spoke up. Megan and Skipper snapped their heads up, and looked at the ally.

Annabella took the Bluetooth and threw it, sending it flying throughout the ally. Skipper and Megan both reached for it, but Skipper actually caught it, while Megan missed completely. She glared at Skipper for a few seconds, her envy showing.

How can he do that?! He wasn't even looking!

She shook her head, and went back to her best friend and the group of men approaching her. They were all wearing simple clothes, an act to blend in, Megan guessed. The first one Megan had never seen before. He looked intimidating, but the fact he was wearing what appeared to be a homemade Christmas sweater really toned it down. He had dirty blonde hair and light blue eyes. It made her skin crawl if she was honest, but she once again, shook off the emotion. Other then the Christmas sweater, nothing about him stuck out really; blue jeans, and white sneakers.

The second one didn't look scary at all, if Megan was honest. He was a ginger! In her mind he was nicknamed Ron before she even knew it herself. He had dark brown eyes that seemed…empty, but not in a lost way. In a, "I don't want to be here. This is stupid." way. He was wearing blue jeans like his friend, but he was wearing a tee shirt in place of the sweater.

Then, her eyes landed on Hans Krügar, and whoa.

Whoa.

He had this…look to him that she couldn't explain. He looked to be the military type, that's for sure. Yet, he seemed somewhat…off in his own world. Megan also noticed his earring, and she shook her head. Idiot.

Skipper let out a deep growl the second he laid eyes on the man, and Megan was shocked at how deep his voice could get if he was mad enough. The first time she heard him do it she almost jumped out of her skin. There was definitely deep hatred here. It was a good thing they sent Annabella in, because Megan had a feeling this was too personal, even for Skipper.

The men stopped in front of Annabella, and seen the jacket. Instead of being gentlemen, they were jerks about it. "Cough it up, Blondie," the ginger said.

"Not very nice, are they?" Private asked Rico and Kowalski. Rico shook his head in response, and said, "Nuh uh."

"No, I found it, its mine. If you liked it so much you shouldn't have left it here," Annabella shot back before standing up.

Apparently, like someone else with these same features Annabella knew, the other blonde was short tempered.

He went to throw a punch at her, but she was ready for this. She caught his fist, and twisted his arm. Safe to say he said ow.

Loudly.

"Wimp," Annabella spat.

"Hey, go to hell you little-" The blonde started before getting cut off by Hans.

"You have no right to talk, considering you just got bested by a woman. Be a gentlemen," Hans said with a smile.

"Gentlemen my asshole," Skipper said.

"Is it laughing?" Megan asked.

"Did you just ask if my ass was laughing?"

"…No."

"I'm gonna pretend I never heard that," Skipper muttered under his breath.

Annabella stood up and put her hand on the guys shoulder and gave a smile. "Why thank you, hun!"

Why am I sounding western? Annabella asked herself. She was supposedly flirty, but this was just coming out wrong. Annabella wanted to die at this moment, basically. Curses for my lack of skill in the male gender.

The ginger had at this point walked away, cursing under his breath, while the blonde just stared in pure anger.

Clearly, Hans was the boss here. Whether he was fully in charge of everything else, Annabella wasn't sure; she knew nothing about the man other then the fact he was in the military with Skipper, he was suspected for murder of some big company owner, and Skipper hated him now, and that him and Skipper got in their feud before the murder thing.

So basically, minus the murder, this could have been high school.

Delightful. As if high school wasn't a crappy experience the first time.

"You're welcome. You have to excuse my…associates. They are quite fast tempered."

Annabella gave a smile, and rested her hand on his shoulder. "It is no problem, really."

"That's good," he flashed her a smile. "Where did you learn that?"

"When you grow up with a ton of older brothers, you pick things up. I'm Jessie Bell, by the way," Annabella said with the same smile. Half of it was fake, and the other half adored her fake name all over again. It was so clever.

"That's so lame," Rico whispered. It was obvious a corny, inside joke.

"Hans Krügar. So, why is a pretty girl like you out here by herself?"

Rico heard that, gagged and looked at Megan, who also looked disgusted. Skipper was still pissed off, which nobody was surprised there.

"Fucking bastard. He doesn't even knowher!"

"Shut the hell up it's the way of pevry mens in skinny jeans in weird nightclubs way of life," Megan said.

Skipper opened his mouth to object, only for Megan to cover his mouth with her hand.

He honestly considered biting her hand for a few seconds.

Annabella giggled, a very nervous sounding giggle to her friends, but the guy obviously didn't know. 'I lost my job a while back, husband kicked me out; ya know, the normal reasons I guess. That's why I took your jacket. Its cold out here."

"I understand completely. Do you wanna go to the coffee shop down the street and talk some more?"

The little ear piece in Annabella's ear started whispering to her. "Heartbreak Ridge him…Ya know ya want to…"

Annabella gave a small smile, ignoring Megan's request. "Sure Hans."

"Heartbreak Ridge…" The haunting voice said again.

Hans had walked away to tell his buddies to go away, so that gave Annabella the time to say no, and that she had no idea what Megan meant.

Hans came back, and took the girls arm, and walked away with her.

Ta da! There's the chapter! I'm currently working on a Halloween one-shot with my turtle flashdrive, so hopefully I finish in time! Anyways, reviews are welcome, like always! Thanks for reading!
