Yui woke up early the next day before the rest of the household. She wrote a quick note to the girls about having something to do and apologizing. She wanted to be long gone before Keiji got up for his date with this girl that did not seem worthy of him. The thought of seeing him excited for a date was not something her little heart was ready to deal with. She quietly crept out of the house and quickly raced home to the safety of her own room.

She sighed once again before closing her book. Her well-played plan of distracting herself from thoughts of Keiji didn't seem to be working very well. She ran her hands through her hair before plopping her face down on her bed. Her mind wandered to thoughts about what Keiji was doing today. Was he kissing that girl again today? Was he happy? Was she getting to witness that wonderful upward tilt of his lips? Well whatever he was doing thinking about it this wasn't helping anything. She picked up her phone. Maybe Akemi would keep her company today or at least distract her for a while. Akemi was always dependable in that regard.

Keiji was laying on his bed thinking over his day. It had gone almost perfect. His lips tilted at the corners in a small smile and he sighed. Toka had looked beautiful today in her light blue dress and softly curling hair. The way her mocha brown eyes twinkled when they looked at the aquatic was breathtaking. The taste of her caramel lip gloss still lingered in his thoughts and it was almost like he could still taste it. He replayed one of his favorite parts of the day in his mind. Well the moment that had the greatest impact on his body anyways.

They were standing in a secluded area separated by an archway. The tanks in front of them had a variety of smaller fish and most people were passing it by being too interested in the larger attractions. The lighting was dim and the tanks were what was producing a light glowing effect.

Keiji let go of her hand and wrapped his arm around her lower back. He moved her to the corner, so they were completely hidden from anybody passing by. He moved in front of her and left one of his hands on her hip. The other one came up and cupped her cheek. Before she could say anything he placed his mouth onto hers. He pushed against her lips and she wove one of her hands into the hair at the back of his head pulling him closer. Her other hand was resting on his chest. Her mouth opened slightly and he pushed his tongue into her mouth accepting the invitation. The feeling of his tongue against hers was pure bliss.

His hand squeezed firmer on her hip. She gripped onto his shirt. His tongue was pressing against hers and she was pressing back. He pushed her closer to the wall and pulled her hips closer to him. She arched her back so that the front of her was pressing into him. He broke the mouth contact and pushed the hair back from the other ear that was always hidden beneath it. He nuzzled his face gently against the side of her head. His breath tickling her ear. She squirmed a little underneath of him which was a magical feeling to his burning body.

She took in a quick breath when she felt him nibble at her ear lobe. The hand that was still holding his head pulled him closer. His hand that had been resting on her face started to caress down her smooth cheek. His thumb caressed her lower lip and it quivered in response. He moved his lips gently across her neck. His tongue gently caressing the area. Her breathing was getting quicker and he stopped administering the attention on her ear and neck and moved back to her mouth. He urgently pushed inside of her mouth as his body pushed against her.

The memories were starting to make his body ache with need and his hand slipped beneath the elastic band of the shorts that he was wearing. He had never felt a need like this before. He had touched himself before, but never with an actual person that he knew and a person he was uncontrollably attracted to. His hand increased its stroking as the need built rapidly in his body.

When he finished and cleaned himself up, he once again flopped down on his bed. Yes, it had been a near perfect day, but there were still moments of disappointment and uncertainty that clouded the otherwise sunny day. First, he had kind of been hoping to see Yui this morning. He had been nervous and was hoping that talking to her would make him feel better, but she was gone before he had woken up. Second and most importantly, Toka had briefly mentioned Tetsuro and it left him feeling uncertain of where he landed in her heart. He liked her a lot and it was evident that she liked him, but she also liked Tetsuro. The mystery of her relationship with the messy bed head unnerved him. Mostly because he didn't know anything about it and both of them were careful to skirt around the issue. Tetsuro was one of the people that Keiji considered a close friend and feeling jealous of his friend was not something he wanted to feel. He sighed in defeat and eventually fell asleep.

Keiji overslept on Monday morning. He hadn't been able to sleep very well the previous night and spent it tossing and turning. He had tried to call Toka on Sunday night, but she hadn't answered. She also didn't answer his text message. It had launched questions in his mind. What was she doing? Was she ignoring him for Tetsuro again? He knew it had happened a couple of times prior. Something that left him once again questioning his relationship with the tall brown haired beauty.

He sped up his walking. He was late and Yui was most likely waiting for him. His eyes landed on the silver hair blowing gently in the morning breeze. She was leaning up against the cherry tree with her hands resting behind her. His negative thoughts and mood disappeared when he noticed her little frown. No doubt she was worried about his vague text this morning about running late. He was never late and was the one that always had to wait for her.

"Morning Kuto-chan. Sorry for being late" he said as he walked up to her.

"It's ok… I don't mind" she responded as she pushed off the tree and fell into step next to him. She glanced sideways and looked into his face. He had dark circles under his eyes and was he a little paler than normal? "Are you ok Akaashi?"

"Yeah of course I am. I just overslept. No need to worry" Keiji smiled softly and ruffled her hair. She looked into his face not believing him. He noticed her looking at him with furrowed brows. He needed to change the subject. He didn't feel like talking about his worries right now. "How was the rest of your weekend?"

"Oh!" Yui said quickly and stopped walking. She pulled her bag in front of her and started rifling through it. Keiji stopped a little in front of her and looked at her curiously. He watched as she pulled a brown paper bag out. "Umm…these are for you… Akemi and I baked cookies on Saturday…" Yui mumbled handing the bag to him. Her cheeks tinted pink and her eyes averted from him.

"Thanks. I mean it" Keiji responded taking the offered bag of cookies. His fingers lightly brushing against hers as he did so. He really meant it. His night and morning had been less than stellar so far and this really did bring a lightness to his heart. Yui was truly amazing and somehow always knew how to cheer him up.

The brief caress of fingers made Yui's stomach clench and she peeked at him beneath her long eyelashes. She let out her breath as she saw the happy twinkle of his eyes. Her face felt warmer. She had come to the conclusion this weekend that she wouldn't be able to keep her distance from Keiji, so she would just ignore the fact that there was another girl in his life. It's not like she had to witness the two of them together anyways.

She would be his faithful friend and nothing in their relationship needed to change. Well not yet… Maybe one day… A girl could hope...
