(A/N I love the idea of Tony learning or relearning how to live a normal life, or at least as normal as she can. Again, any suggestions on how I can better my story or writing skills is appreciated.)

New Beginnings

A.K.A.

The Start of a New Life

The first thing Tony noticed was the stabbing headache that felt like a tight band wrapped around her head. She felt grass pricking at her back and body and she stiffled a moan. Another fight? Ugh, I'm not even sure if I can stand. She was sure any minute now they'd start zapping her into motion. That cursed collar. She thought angrily, then in shock,That cursed collar!Suddenly she realized that something was different. Her eyes flew open only to clamp shut again as a light brighter than any ceiling light caused the pain in her head to flare. Her hands flew to her neck hoping yet not expecting the collar gone. It was! But how? She thought back to what she last remembered. There was a fight. It was against a morph, no, several morphs. A noivern and a galvantula. Yes that's right, and others, a florges and a crawdaunt. That was it. The crawdaunt morph. He broke my collar. But then it got hazy. She remembered being held, the pain as she was struck on the head, then nothing. No not quite nothing, there were flashing lights, and flames, and figures running. Were they human? Experiments? She couldn't remember. Something moved not far from her head. She tried to feel it out with her powers but her head hurt to much, she felt so tired. Slowly, carefully, Tony turned her head and opened one eye.

The first thing she saw was a pile of round blue things(Oran berries). Then she noticed a pink furry cat-like pokemon with a familiar long tail floating above the pile. A...Mew? She thought confused. Those rockets said that...She grunted as she struggeled to prop herself on her side, that mew was rare, one of a kind even. Tony let out a part grunt part moan as she finally managed to roll on her side, tucking her arm under her head for support, too tired to prop herself up on that arm. She looked up again at the mew that was watching her curiously. Are they really so rare? the morph wondered. The mew motioned to the berry pile with it's tail, directing Tony's attention back to it. "For...Me?" She asked hesitantly. The mew nodded. Tony reached out and grabbed one. The smell, she noticed, was decidely good. "Food?" Tony asked uncertain, she didn't remember eating anything that looked like this. Most of what she remembered was that gray mash that the rockets served. The mew nodded again. Tony brought the berry to her mouth and hesitated, unsure why. The mew saw this and picked up a berry from the pile and smiled, then took a bit bite, smearing it's mouth with berry juice as it did. Tony saw this and the corner of her mouth twitched before she took a bite of her berry. It was good! She quickly finished her berry aware of just how hungry she was and reached for another. Soon she was through the small pile, and while not full, she wasn't starving anymore. Exhaustion over took Tony and soon she fell into a dreamless sleep.
