Rachel and Quinn awoke before their alarms the next day. Quinn groaned as the sun peeked through the curtains. Her head was splitting; her mouth was dry. The hangover had most definitely arrived. Rachel, on the other hand, woke and bolted out of bed. She charged out of the guest bedroom and bounded into Kurt and Blaine's bedroom. She jumped onto their bed, startling and jolting them awake. "I'M GETTING MARRIED TODAY!" She yelled, as she bounced on their bed excitedly. Kurt groaned and put his head under the pillow. Blaine rolled his eyes and kept them closed until she'd finished. Rachel bounced up and down for a good minute or so before she jumped off the bed and darted out of the room. "It's going to be a long day," Kurt mumbled.

"Rachel! Please go back to bed and let me have another ten minutes!" They heard from the living room. Rachel had obviously went to wake Tina up too.

Quinn forced herself out of bed and headed to the shower. She turned the water on and set her shower radio to a quiet volume. As the water hit her body she felt the aches leave her body; her hangover remained but the severity wasn't anywhere near as powerful as it was ten minutes earlier. A smiled graced her face, she was going to be okay; her hangover would most definitely have passed before the wedding, although she seriously doubted that it would prevent anything ruining the best and most important day of her life so far. She looked at the clock and saw it was almost eight; Santana would be arriving soon.

Rachel had retreated back to the guest bedroom but she couldn't do anything but fidget. She pulled the blankets up and tidied her bed up. She glanced at the clock and saw it was quickly approaching eight. "Kurt!" She yelled. "Are you ready? I told my Dads we'd be there for eight." She heard their bedroom door open and she quickly darted out with her bag in hand. She saw both Blaine and Kurt rubbing their eyes. "You'd better text one of your Dads and tell them to get some coffee ordered."

"I will! I will! Now let's go!" She said excitedly. Blaine grabbed his keys and held the door open for both of them.

"I'll have some coffee ready for when you get back, Blaine." Tina called from her spot on the couch. She was happy that she was going to get at least another thirty minutes of sleep now that Rachel had left. Happiness is good, but not at seven forty five am, Tina thought as she looked at her phone and closed her eyes again.

Quinn heard a timid knock on the door. She padded across the hallway and forced back a smile when she saw how hungover her best friend actually was. "I'll make you some breakfast." Quinn simply said as Santana passed her in the doorway as she made a beeline for the kitchen. Quinn shook her head as she closed the door quietly. As she was about to walk down the hallway, she heard movement on the open plan stairs of the building and she heard a familiar voice echoing through the building. "I'm so excited!" She heard Rachel say before she heard her clapping her hands enthusiastically.

"I'll share your excitement when I've got caffeine in my system." Kurt drawled. The blonde almost opened the door as she heard Rachel reach their floor entrance of the stairwell; she only stopped herself because it was far too early to be told by Rachel and probably Kurt that it's bad luck to see the bride before the ceremony. "Q, are you coming to make me feel human again?"

"I'M GETTING MARRIED TODAY!" Rachel exclaimed as soon as the door to her Dads' hotel room opened.

"Too loud Rachel. Inside voice." Hiram whispered as he closed the door behind them.

"Coffee." LeRoy announced as he handed a cup to a profusely accepting Kurt. "Rachel, I'll get you some water."

"Yeah I definitely do not need coffee today."

"We do," Kurt said. "Once the three of us have had this coffee in peace and quiet then we'll start getting ready." He added. Hiram and LeRoy smirked behind their mugs as they watched their daughter try to sit patiently and quietly. "I'm going to go on and shower while the three of you perk up a little bit." They all watched her head into the bathroom with her sweats and shower bag. "How long has she been awake?" Hiram asked.

"Forty five minutes perhaps." Kurt answered.

"I'm exhausted already just thinking about the schedule."

"Santana is going to text me once the car is on its way to us."

"Are you feeling any more alive yet?" LeRoy asked.

"Getting there, I need to be on red alert; I have hair and make up to do." Kurt laughed. They heard Rachel singing and knew that today was going to be perfect, with or without caffeine.

"I don't know how you do it, but Q your breakfast is magic."

"I'm glad because my Mom will be arriving soon. Rachel said she'd be here about eight thirty and its getting closer to nine." Quinn replied.

"I'll go and jump in the shower so we can get started on hair and makeup once your Mom arrives." Quinn nodded and Santana, who was much more awake, left the table and headed straight for the shower. Quinn pottered around the kitchen, placing dishes into the dishwasher and switching it on. She ran through the schedule in her head, she had just over two hours until the car arrived to take her to the venue. She heard the front door unlock and the arrival of her Mom. "Quinn?"

"In the kitchen, Mom." She heard her Mom thank Blaine for the ride over and she hung the dress up in Quinn's bedroom before she made her way to see her soon-to-be married daughter. "Sorry I'm a little late, the traffic was mental."

"Yeah that's why we hardly drive anywhere." Quinn replied.

"Santana's showering but proceed with caution when she appears, she's pretty hungover. Mine's vanished but I don't think a greasy breakfast and a shower will solve her hangover problem."

"How bad were you when you woke up?"

"Pretty bad, but I think it was just fatigue. Santana switched my drink to water halfway through the night. After a nice shower I felt much better."

"Are you ready for the greatest day of your life then?"

"I am so ready that you wouldn't believe it."

"Blaine told me that Rachel was incredibly hyper earlier."

"I heard them leaving and she sounded hyper, that is a certainty."

"I can't say I blame her," Judy replied. "Everything the two of you have ever wanted will begin later today."

"Kurt are you ready for me?" Rachel called from the bathroom.

"Yes." He replied. Whilst Rachel was in the shower he'd prepped the dressing table with makeup and hair curlers ready to work his magic. Rachel emerged from the bathroom looking fresh; she noticed Kurt looked several times more awake than he had twenty minutes ago. "Your Dads have gone downstairs for breakfast, the coffee wasn't enough."

"Has it worked its magic on you?" She asked.

"Oh yes!" Kurt enthused.

"I'M GETTING MARRIED TODAY!" Rachel yelled for the third time that morning.

"EEE! I know! I've been counting down the days since you and Quinn announced your engagement." Kurt replied enthusiastically.

"There's that excitement I was looking for!" She laughed as she sat down in front of the mirror. "Now we have a wedding to prepare for."

"Quinn are you sure that you have everything?" Judy asked.

"I do, I have Rachel's ring, my vows and the first dance song on CD."

"That leaves just one thing then. It's time to get in your dress." Judy said. Quinn stood up and took the dress from her mother. She unzipped it from its cover and she heard Santana gasp. "I forgot how beautiful it was." The Latina whispered.

"I just hope it still fits." Quinn laughed.

"You're in perfect shape darling," Judy commented. Quinn released the tie on her robe, she smiled when Santana came over, bent down and helped her into the dress. Her best friend fastened it up for her and stepped back. They both fought tears at how beautiful and graceful the woman standing before them looked. Her hair was in loose curls and her makeup light. Her dress had a sweetheart neckline with a basque waist that flowed down into a chapel train. She wore a small pair of hells just to add a little bit more height. She looked up and saw that they both had tears in their eyes. "Sweetheart, you look a million dollars. Rachel won't be able to keep her eyes off you."

"Fuck sake, Q. Why must you make me cry?" Santana said.

"Stop it or you'll set me off. I expect to cry later when I see Rachel, so let's hold back otherwise I won't be able to stop at all." Quinn sniffed as she held back her tears. Judy passed a tissue to Santana before taking one for herself. They dried their eyes and cleared their throats. "It's almost eleven, the car will be heading over. Let's get some pictures taken before it arrives." Quinn suggested.

"Rachel, are you okay in there?" LeRoy called. Along with Hiram and Kurt, they were stood outside the bathroom door. Rachel had been in there for ten minutes getting her dress on. "Do you need me to fasten it?" Kurt asked.

"I got it. I'll be out in a moment."

"Let's sit down, she's okay." Hiram suggested. He grabbed his husband's hand and led him to the edge of the bed. Kurt followed and sat on the lounge chair in the room. "Are you and Blaine getting married any time soon?"

"I don't think so. We need steady careers and despite being engaged for what feels like forever I don't think that we're financially ready."

"Love isn't about money or a big fancy ceremony. It's about the commitment between two people to promise to love, honour, and cherish each other forever." LeRoy said. "Never let money dictate anything. It's the root of evil. Love will survive without money as long as you have each other."

"I think I might start dropping hints." Kurt chuckled.

"Well we'll be expecting an invite," LeRoy smiled.

"Definitely, Blaine and I would love to have you there." Kurt replied. Their conversation halted the moment they heard the bathroom door unlock.

Rachel stepped out slowly and carefully. She looked up with a soft smile on her lips. There were tears in the eyes of the three men who sat before her. "Rachel, sweetheart, our baby girl you look absolutely breathtaking." LeRoy whispered, scared to raise his voice even just a little bit. Rachel's hair was like Quinn's, hanging in loose curls past her shoulders. Her makeup was minimal, just the way Quinn liked. Her dress was slightly more extravagant than her fiancée's, as if anyone would expect any less from the brunette. Rachel's dress was embroidered from the cap sleeves and the scooping neckline until the waist. It then flowed out into a wide chapel train. The embroidery glistened in the light.

"I love this dress. I never want to take it off." Rachel mused.

"Let's just say that you're not going to have to worry about a steady income once photos of this dress hit the tabloids, Kurt." LeRoy admitted.

"Thank you for this Kurt. It's absolutely gorgeous."

"You business is certainly going to take off. You are a fantastic designer young man." Hiram added making the man blush even harder.

"Is this Kurt's day or mine?" Rachel interrupted.

"Now now Rachel, don't be selfish." LeRoy chastised.

"I'm kidding!" She laughed, "I'm so proud of you Kurt, you did an amazing job."

"You're welcome." Kurt smiled. "You're my best friend, it was an honour to be asked to design your wedding dress. Now let's get some photographs taken before the car arrives; it should have picked Quinn, Judy and Santana up right about now."

"I hate New York City traffic!" Quinn whined as she sat in the back of the white Rolls Royce Phantom. She was sat in the middle as she clutched the hands of both her mother and Santana. "Relax Quinn, we have plenty of time." Santana said.

"What if I'm late? That'll make Rachel late and we miss our slot."

"That isn't going to happen!" Santana replied, trying to remain calm.

"How do you know?" Quinn snapped. Instantly she felt bad, "Sorry."

"It's okay."

"No it isn't. I shouldn't have snapped like that."

"Quinnie, listen to us when we tell you that nothing is going to spoil your wedding day."

"Now when you and Rachel booked the wedding official. You booked it for one o'clock, meaning that you'd both be in a holding room when you arrive just in case you got stuck in traffic." Santana explained. "Separately, might I add."

"I know, I just want it to be perfect."

"We know and it will be." Santana replied. Quinn exhaled deeply and closed her eyes. The headache she had fought off was creeping its way back in. She rubbed her temples to ward it off. "Just relax, Q."

"Keep your eyes closed until we get to the hall." Judy suggested.

"Thank you both," Quinn said.

"Ssshh," Judy whispered. Quinn acquiesced, she would thank them later.

"The car has dropped Quinn off," Kurt said as he read Santana's text message. "We should head downstairs."

"You go first, just to check if there are any paparazzi waiting." Rachel said to Kurt. He nodded and left Rachel with her fathers.

"We are so proud of you Rachel," LeRoy said as he wrapped his daughter in a gentle hug. "You have found a love that we always hoped you would."

"Oh Daddy, don't make me cry." Rachel whimpered.

"Well I just wanted to tell you seeing as your Dad is making the speech later."

"Thank you! Thank you both for raising me to value and appreciate love."

"You're welcome sweetheart." LeRoy smiled as Hiram joined them in their hug. Rachel's phone buzzed, Hiram picked it up and saw it was from Kurt. "The car is here and we have no unwanted attention outside."

"Let's go and get you married to the woman of your dreams."

Quinn paced up and down in her holding room as she waited for the clock to hit one. "Rachel's here," Santana said as she entered the room.

"How does she look?"

"Nope, not telling." Santana goaded.

"Oh come on Santana. I need something to keep me sane!"

"No spoilers!"

"I hate you sometimes." Quinn said but when she looked up into Santana's eyes and saw them twinkling, she too started laughing.

"Seriously Quinn, she looks amazing."

"Can it be one o'clock yet?"

"Just twenty more minutes sweetie. Twenty more minutes until you can make that woman your one and only." Judy said.

"Let me thank you both now then. Mom, you first, I have to thank you for a lot of things. You are my inspiration, well one of them. You redeemed yourself when you willingly took me back after Beth was born and for that whatever you did before will always be irrelevant. I want to thank you for being incredibly supportive of my decision to come out and even more supportive of my relationship and now my marriage to Rachel. I love you Mom."

"Oh Quinnie, you are perfect and not that idea of perfect we tried to force upon you when you were fifteen, but since then you have become such a successful, independent and perfect young woman." Judy replied wishing the tears away.

"Now you Santana," Quinn began.

"Don't you dare make me cry, Fabray." Santana warned.

"Santana you have been my best friend since we were what? Thirteen? I don't care how many fights or disagreements we had I knew you always had my back and vice versa. I am so proud that you are my maid of honour today. I can't imagine anyone else standing up there with me as a witness of my vows to Rachel. The way you calmed me down in the car is a prime example of why you're not only my maid of honour, but my best friend. You know me inside and out. There is only one person who knows me more and I'm marrying her in just over ten minutes."

"I wouldn't have let you have anyone else standing up there with you and know that when I eventually settle down you'll be my matron of honour because you mean exactly the same to me as I do to you." Santana replied.

"I wouldn't miss that for the world." Quinn smiled at her best friend as she finished. "Just ten minutes to go."

"Ten minutes! Ten minutes! Ten min-"

"I get it Rachel." Kurt said as he stopped Rachel chanting.

"I don't think I can wait ten more minutes."

"It's nothing, Rachel." He said.

"It feels like an eternity."

"It won't be."

"Is everyone seated?"

"Yeah, Judy and Santana are still in with Quinn and they'll go down the aisle first and then we'll meet your Dads at the top of the aisle where they'll walk you down and meet Quinn there."

"You're a great best man slash maid of honour."

"How about 'man of honour'," He suggested.

"I like that and I'm so thankful for everything you have done for me. You are the greatest friend I could ever ask for. You know how to fix me and help me even when I don't. I know that you are always there despite my diva and selfish moments. I love you, Kurt."

"Rachel, I am so proud to be your best friend. You look out for me the exact same way that I look out for you. You, too, are the greatest friend a guy could wish for." They heard music begin and they both got to their feet. Quinn was taking her place at the end of the aisle and Rachel needed to be there too. "It's time," Kurt said as he took his best friend's hand and led her to her fathers.

Quinn looked up when she heard the music start again. Immediately, her breath was taken away by the sight of her fiancée and her fathers walking down the aisle to meet her. She saw tears falling down the brunette's face as they got closer.

Rachel exhaled as she watched the blonde's face intently as she walked. She felt her Dads' grips loosen as they got closer. They kissed each cheek as Quinn got closer to meet her. Kurt passed them and took his place just before Quinn and Rachel turned to make their way to the official. Once they were standing in front of her and their hands held at their sides, the official began to speak."Dearly beloved, we are all gathered here to witness the love shared by these two women, by Rachel and Quinn. These two have found a love that is incredibly special. When I asked them for their reasons to marry I was astounded by how deeply they love, and how openly they love.

"Their love story has grown from one born out of hate to one where they sacrifice themselves for each other. Love is exactly that. It's about opening your heart to the person you'd least expect to give it to. Some people meet their love in high school and they don't expect it because they're young and have never felt an emotion so strong; some people fall in love with a friend and they don't expect that because they notice subtle changes in their feelings and that's unexpected because they never considered it before; and some people find a love within a history and that is exactly what Quinn and Rachel did. They found a love wrapped in their bitter history but one they immediately banished. A history they forgot and started a relationship as equals and as new people. They forgot about the people they used to be and taught the other about the person they had become." The justice said, her face broad with a smile as she spoke to the guests."I now invite Rachel and Quinn to make their personal wedding vows to prove their love for each other, Rachel you shall go first."

Rachel took a deep breath and turned her body towards Quinn who was smiling brightly at her. "Quinn, I take you today was my wife. Together we will create a home, becoming a part of one another, although my heart has always had a home within you. I just didn't know it, but now that I do, I know it'll always be safe. You have loved and honoured me so unconditionally and I vow to do the same. I vow to create a life that we can cherish and will inspire our love to grow. I vow that I will always love you as you are, like you have with me. I vow that for now and for always." Rachel concluded. It took all of her strength not to kiss the beautiful blonde beside her.

"Quinn?" The justice said, inviting the blonde to begin.

"Rachel, today our lives become entwined. I will strive to give you the very best version of myself, while accepting you the way you are. I promise to respect you as a person whose interests, desires and needs may be different but just as important as mine. I would never ever ask you to compromise your decisions just to agree with mine. I promise to keep myself open to you, to let you in to my innermost fears and feelings, secrets and dreams. I promise to grow with you, to be willing to face change and adversity, as we both face change and adversity. I promise to keep our relationship alive and exciting because it's what you deserve. Finally, I promise to love you in both the good times and the bad, with all that I have to give and all that I am, in the only way I know how: completely and forever."

"You two have just shown everyone present how much you love each other and the next thing you must do is exchange rings to show the world your commitment to each other. I want you to repeat after me, Rachel again you will go first." Rachel nodded as the justice spoke again. "Quinn, I give you this ring as a symbol of my love." Rachel repeated what was said and placed the ring at the end of Quinn's finger. "As it encircles your finger, may it remind you that you are always surrounded," Once again Rachel repeated and slid the finger down onto Quinn's finger until it was positioned firmly on her finger. "By my enduring love." The justice finished and Rachel repeated her final vow. Quinn smiled at her as she looked down at her ring and back towards the smiling brunette.

"Quinn, it is your turn to place a ring on Rachel's finger to show your love and dedication not just to her but to the world. Repeat after me: This ring is perfectly symmetrical, it signifies the perfection of true love." Quinn repeated the justice's words and placed the ring on the end of Rachel's finger. "As I place it on your finger, I give you all that I am and ever hope to be." Quinn repeated and slid the ring firmly on Rachel's finger so it sat securely.

"Rachel and Quinn have stood before you and showed how much their love means to them. They have vowed to honour it and nurture it as it grows. It gives me great pleasure in announcing to you all Mrs and Mrs Berry-Fabray. You may now kiss your bride to solidify your love." Quinn pulled her wife into her arms and leant down and kissed her tenderly. "I love you so much, Rachel." She said as they broke apart.

"I love you too," Rachel reiterated as she leaned up the short distance and kissed her wife again. They turned and faced their family and friends and walked down the aisle to a raucous applause and cheering from everyone.

Quinn and Rachel went to the brunette's holding room and stared into each others' eyes. "You look absolutely beautiful, Rachel."

"So do you."

"Kurt did an incredibly job with this."

"He did but I don't want to talk about Kurt right now." Rachel said as she placed her hands on the blonde's waist, cautious not to stand on her train. Quinn leant down and kissed her. Rachel parted the blonde's lips and slipped her tongue into the blonde's mouth. "Mmm…" Quinn moaned and met Rachel's tongue eagerly. They parted when it was getting too heated and they both sighed. "Well wife, that was incredible." Quinn said as she tried to regain her breathing.

"It most certainly was, wife." Rachel agreed.

"We're married." Quinn smiled.

"We are, you have made me the happiest woman on the planet."

"Well that's good because you have made me the happiest woman on the planet too." Quinn concurred.

"Come on, we have a party to attend to." Rachel pulled her wife out of the room.

"Married ten minutes and you're already bossing me around." Quinn joked.

"Better get used to it, Fabray."

"That's Berry-Fabray." Quinn corrected smartly.

"I know I just wanted to hear you say it." Rachel smirked. Quinn patted her wife's ass as she held the car door open for the brunette. Quinn climbed into the car and put her arm around her wife. They smiled at each other and shared soft kisses as they were driven to the reception.

When they entered the reception they were once again met with a tumultuous applause and they were directed to their table as everyone took their seats. They all enjoyed a meal but neither Rachel or Quinn ate much as they were too excited and absorbed in the other to really pay attention to what was being served in front of them. A clinking sound meant that the toasts were about to start. Rachel's Dad, Hiram, had gotten to his feet. "Good afternoon everyone, the first thing I want to say is congratulations to my daughter, Rachel, and my daughter-in-law, Quinn. LeRoy and I are so proud of you Rachel. You are everything that we as fathers could ever ask for or wish for. We are so proud of the love you have found and grown with that woman sitting beside you. Quinn, thank you for loving and supporting Rachel so unconditionally. We are proud to welcome you to our family and to have you bear our name. I speak to everyone, when I ask you to raise your glasses to Rachel and Quinn Berry-Fabray." He raised his own glass towards the two women who shared a brief kiss. Hiram sat down and received a kiss off his own husband.

Santana and Kurt stood up next. Kurt smiled at the two brides as he began to speak. "It's tradition that the best man makes a speech but Santana and I decided that as the maid and man of honour for Rachel and Quinn that we should make a joint toast."

"As the best friends of Quinn and Rachel we have been blessed to see this love story unfold in all its glory; from the first dates; the first parent encounters; when they moved in together; and the proposal." Santana said proudly.

"It has been an absolute privilege to watch such an incredible journey and that we were asked to play such an important part in their wedding." Kurt explained.

"This love that they share is a marker and an inspiration."

"It is something that really proves the power of love and the good opening your heart can do."

"We wish you a lifetime of happiness," Santana said and Kurt nodded his agreement. "

"We can't wait to watch your relationship grow, it would be an honour to watch it." They said simultaneously before raising their glasses and adding, "To Quinn and Rachel." The sentiment echoed around the room, and the two women smiled proudly at their friends.

After dinner, Quinn and Rachel made their way around to every guest to thank them for coming. Judy and Frannie nearly made Rachel fall over with the force of their hug. "Welcome to the family!" They declared.

"Thank you for letting me take your family name."

"You're very welcome. We're changing the perception of the tarnished name and having a Broadway star carry our name will certainly help that." Judy laughed. "Leo's a successful lawyer and that's why he and Frannie have a double barrel surname too." She added, "I'm kidding, but it's an honour to have you in our family and to wear our name." Judy confirmed when she saw Rachel and Quinn's confused expressions.

"Well, either way it's an honour for me to be a part of your family and I will protect Quinn with everything I have."

"We know you will," Frannie said.

As they approached Kurt, Blaine, Tina and Santana, they were enveloped in a bone crushing group hug. "Thank you for everything the four of you have done, and thank you Kurt and you Santana for your speech. It was incredible." Quinn said.

"We meant every single world, but enough, go and enjoy your wedding. We'll see you before you leave for your honeymoon." Santana said.

"Remember Tina, you're off schedule for the next couple of weeks. I demand that you go and see Mike!"

"Yes boss!" Tina laughed.

The last people they spoke to were Hiram and LeRoy. "Dad, that was a beautiful speech." Rachel told him. "Well it was for two beautiful women. Our two beautiful daughters."

"I am so proud to be a Berry."

"We're proud to have you as well, Quinn."

"I love you guys." Quinn said, her smile expanding on her face as she looked at her father-in-laws. "Go have your first dance and enjoy yourselves." LeRoy instructed.

"But we aren't having a first dance." Rachel said slightly perplexed. She turned to look at Quinn but the blonde was now up on the stage and had a microphone in her hand. "Rachel, I know you didn't want a first dance, but I know you deserve one." Quinn said. She placed the microphone back in the stand and stepped down the stairs towards her wife. She led the brunette onto the quickly emptying dance floor. "Ladies and gentlemen: Quinn and Rachel Berry-Fabray." The DJ announced as he pressed play. Rachel instantly recognised the song. "I love you Rachel." Quinn said as they danced closely to 'Please Don't Leave Quite Yet'. "I promise you that I'm not going anywhere ever." Quinn whispered.

"Good, because I'm not either." Rachel replied. She tenderly kissed the blonde and then placed her head on her shoulder as the song played out.

The reception drew to a close a couple of hours later and the brides were thoroughly exhausted. They enjoyed another round of applause as they exited the venue and headed back to the wedding car. This time Rachel held the door open for her wife. As she climbed in next to her they shared a light kiss. "This is it baby, we're off home to start the rest of our lives." Rachel said as they broke apart. "Baby, I can't wait. Let's go home to our first night of forever."
