Chapter 8
Nobody's point of view
Nevel and the hammer left the room leaving four lone figures to sit and wallow in their own personal sorrow. Mrs. Benson had awoken at the end of the conversation between Freddie and Nevel, and was utterly surprised at what her son had said.
Her Freddie Bear wasn't the sweet person that she had grown to see. He had changed in a matter of seconds. And it was all Nevels fault. She should have known.
Luckily for them Papperman had ordered The Shadow Hammer to remove there gags before they had left. So now they were free to speak, but who would do it first.
"Spencer how are you feeling," Carly asked with concern in your voice.
"Yeah how are you feeling, you don't look to good," Sam said.
"No I feel fine Sam, hello I was just beaten with hammer."
"Well sorry for caring," Sam responded. A look of annoyance on her face.
"Okay sorry, but right now everything hurts so I'm not in a great mood."
"I guess that's alright, but don't get so snippy, we don't need to get at each other's throats right now." She looked down at her knees contemplatively, "what we need to do is find a way to get out of this dank place. It seriously is killing my already depressed mood. Urrrrrrrrrg, I wish I had some ham right now."
"Sam you already ate an entire ham this morning remember and now you want more. Are you crazy?" Carly said.
"Yes, yes I am. So I'm thinking some ham might, you know, calm any of my crazy urges."
Everything went silent for a moment and then everybody started to burst out laughing. Of course Sam would say something like that, she is Sam after all.
Then when everybody had stopped laughing and calmed down they turned serious, and put there game faces on.
"So what are we going to do, we have to come up with a way to get out of here. Because I personally don't want to stay here for one more second." Sam said.
"But if you haven't noticed were all tied too chairs, the Hammer and Nevel are probably watching us and my poor Freddie bear is out there all alone, probably worried to bits about us" Miss Benson said losing all hope.
"Yeah I know it doesn't seem good, and I'm worried about Freddie too, especially about the way he acted. The last sentence he had said to Nevel burned me to the core. It seems like he is serious. Nevel is going to "rue" the day he messed with Fredweird."
As she spoke those words, Sam felt that everyone else thought the same thing. It looked like nothing was going to stop him. Nothing. Even if he was tied up and thrown into a bottomless pit he would find a way to escape just so that he could save them.
They didn't speak again. They didn't dare too, because they wouldn't know what to say. All they had to do was wait and see what would happen next. But there was one thing that stayed in their minds. One thought.
What was going to happen to them and what was Freddie going to do.
