A/N: Flashback! But just a lot of sex and fluff and generally these two being idiots. One of the scenes is inspired by a scene from the movie Life Partners, which I would totally recommend seeing because the cast is adorable. Annnd yeah, enjoy.

Dan can't focus on anything other than the sound of Blair panting, moaning softly. He tries not to get too fixated, grips at her hips for some semblance of control but that only sends him deeper inside of her. He tips his head back and lets out a harsh breath.

"Dan," she breathes, voice soft and pretty, "Don't stop. Please."

His mind is swirling and blurry as he thrusts his hips up to meet her pace and he moves his fingers to her clit, absentmindedly rubbing while she moves up and down on him. Dan can't remember a time he'd felt pleasure this intensely. It takes everything he has to hold out for her come first.

Blair's moans are short and breathy and somewhere in there he can hear his name.

He opens his eyes just long enough to see her head tipped back, eyes fluttered shut as she grinds against his fingers.

"Dan," she moans again, quiet. "Come for me."

Dan licks his lips, smiles. Blair swirls her hips against him and he gives up control. His hands move to grip the sheets as he surrenders, a groan escaping the back of his throat. His muscles tense and he finds her hand to link their fingers as he comes. Blair collapses against his chest and Dan moves his other hand to her hair, stroking it down her back gently.

"We should've done that sooner," Blair breathes against his ear and Dan laughs lightly.

He can't form words or even thoughts, so he just kisses her, smiling against her mouth. Blair is so pretty. How could he never admit that until this year? It's not as though she hadn't been just as beautiful in high school and college. He supposes that's a part of growing up, seeing new facets of the same person.

"Maybe we should make up for lost time," he sighs and kisses her again, flipping them so that he's resting his weight over her. His lips move over her jaw, down her neck, get lost somewhere between her breasts before Blair arches into his mouth.

"Why do you have to leave?" He feels much like a kidnapper, holding her hostage in her own bed. Although she doesn't seem to be struggling to get away. He's surprised she hasn't complained about him wrinkling her Marc Jacobs.

"I promised Daddy I'd spent at least a week with him and Roman this summer," she's snuggled into his side, brown eyes glimmering at his own.

"But," Dan starts, unsure of his next argument before he even starts it. "You're hardly dressed for a plane ride. Don't you own, like, any sweatpants?"

Blair's brow furrows with a glare that tells him he should know the answer to that question.

It's only seven days, he tells himself, a pathetic amount of times.

When she starts to climb out of bed he grabs her by the arm and yanks her back to his chest, burying his face in her hair. A giggle escapes her mouth as she struggles against him.

"Humphrey!" She manages to kick him in the shin, which actually hurts. "My car has already been here for fifteen minutes. I need to leave."

He finally releases her and she rises from the bed, smoothing out the wrinkles in her outfit. She runs a few fingers through her hair and grabs a cardigan from her closet, pulling it on as she talks.

"It's only a week," she says distractedly, staring at her closet to take inventory. "It'll be over before you know it."

Dan walks her down to the waiting car, carrying all of her bags with them. The driver begins loading the suitcases into the trunk and Blair turns to face Dan, smiling.

"I've already forwarded you my itinerary, and a list of contact information at Daddy's. I'll call you as soon as I get in," She steps on her tippy toes to place a kiss on his jaw and then she says, "I love you."

Blair climbs into the town car before she realizes what she just said, and he can see the terror plastered over her face. Dan can't stop grinning.

"That's not what I-" she starts, "I didn't mean to-"

Dan leans into the car, tries to bite back his smile, "You love me," he says.

"Whatever!" She shouts at him defensively, "You love me!"

"Do I?" Dan asks, "I don't know. Kiss me one more time."

Blair huffs and grabs his shirt, pulls him down for one more chaste kiss. He really hates how much he's going to miss her for only seven days.

"Hey!" He smiles smugly, hand resting on the car door. "You're right! I do love you."

She swats his hand away and slams the car door shut. The window is still rolled down.

"Ugh," she says, "so glad I'm getting away from you."

Dan laughs, but before he can retort, the car pulls away from the curb and she's disappearing before his eyes. He's suddenly hit with a wave of sadness.

"I love you too," he says to himself and walks back into her building.

Seven days goes by much faster than Dan expects it to, because he spends most of it working on his novel. The same story had completely shifted focus over the last few months, for obvious reasons.

He and Nate go out a few times and he does his best job as wingman which only results in both of them slamming beers and listening to Nate weigh the pros and cons of Raina and Serena. Dan is able to remain surprisingly objective.

"What's going to happen when Serena comes back?" Nate asks him.

Dan shrugs. "What do you mean?"

"I mean," he starts, "You're not still…"

"No" Dan says, unblinking. The thought hadn't crossed his mind in months.

Nate nods and continues, "And this thing with you and Blair is…"

"Serious," Dan ducks his head. "At least I think it is."

Nate's eyes widen but he grins, seemingly understanding.

"I never would've expected it," he says, "But it kind of makes sense."

Dan listens to Nate list all of the reasons that he and Blair are good for each other and that's when it hits him. He picks her up from the airport tomorrow morning.

Dan is suddenly very nervous, standing in baggage claim with Blair's driver, Henry. What if the time away makes her realize this has all been a mistake? What if it was just a phase she had to go through before returning to the cage she calls a relationship with Chuck. Somehow he can't get himself to believe that.

Passengers start to file toward the carousel and his eyes search excitedly for her. Blair turns the corner in a pretty pastel pink skirt and a deep magenta blouse. Her skin has been kissed by the sun and she's wearing one of those stupid french berets on her head. Dan would roll his eyes if he hadn't missed her so much.

Her eyes light up when she sees him and as soon as they're close enough, she throws her arms around his neck and pulls him down for a kiss. Dan can't help but groan against her mouth and pull her more tightly against him. He had also missed being able to touch her whenever he wanted. Blair's fingers curl over his jaw and she pulls away.

"You couldn't even be bothered to shave before you saw me?" She fakes a gasp.

Dan smiles, pushes a few strands of hair out of her face, "Just admit that you like the stubble."

She narrows her eyes at him but her fingers are still resting against his cheek. He really missed her.

Blair tells him story after story about Paris as they wait for her bags, but Dan isn't listening. He's too busy pressing kisses to her hair, ear, neck, anything he can manage until Blair giggles for him to stop.

"People are staring," she whines.

Dan laughs lightly and rests a hand on her waist, mouth at her ear, "I really don't care."

Blair reaches for her final bag and counts one more time to make sure she has all of them. Henry starts carrying them outside and she runs her hands up Dan's back gently.

"Save it for the car ride home," she says. And then, "I'm not wearing underwear."

Dan practically chases her into the backseat. As soon as the partition is up it's all rushed movements and not quite getting anything off fast enough. Blair yanks his belt off and unbuttons his pants, climbing into his lap hastily. She slides his boxers down and he can feel how wet she is the moment she settles on top of him.

"I missed you," she breathes against his ear, "So much."

She eases him inside of her and Dan muffles a groan against the fabric of her shirt. He missed her more than seems appropriate to voice during a time like this.

"Mhmm," is all he can get out. He wraps his arms tightly around her back as he moves deeper inside of her. He had almost forgotten how good she feels. Her hair falls in a curtain around his face and a few strands fall in his mouth but he can't be bothered to move it. Blair is gripping his hair and already moving much too fast for him to focus. She comes within minutes and Dan follows quickly after, mumbling those three small words against her lips.

When they arrive at the penthouse, Eleanor is waiting in the foyer, carrying on a conversation with someone in the other room.

"Mother," Blair starts, looking flustered, "What are you doing here?"

Eleanor turns around and takes in her daughter's presence, then the presence of Dan standing next to her daughter's bags and chuckles lightly.

"Well," she says, "it seems we have ourselves a reunion."

Dan and Blair shoot each other a look of confusion and then look back at Eleanor, waiting for an explanation.

Serena steps out of the living room and into the foyer.

Blair's clutch drops from her hand and hits the floor with a loud clatter.

"I'm back!" She squeals and practically knocks Blair over in a hug. Then she looks at Dan. "Did you pick Blair up from the airport?"

He shrugs, ducks his head. "Waldorf needed an extra hand with all these bags. It's not like I had anything better to do."

Serena narrows her eyes, but then she laughs, "You two are so weird."

When she turns to talk to Eleanor again, Dan moves closer to Blair and takes the opportunity to mouth "I love you," when he catches her eye.

"You too," she whispers, and begins dragging her bags up the stairs.
