Moonlight Rhapsody
Chapter 8
Hello all! If you don't hear anything from me for three months after the 28th, I'm in jail. Enjoy this chapter!

Sakura shivered as she walked out of the place she called home. Sasuke was still sleeping and she didn't have the heart to bother him. She just wanted to get some fresh air. She made her way to the hospital that had been finished for about a week ago and stopped when she saw a familiar face.
"Sai-kun?!" She ran over to him and threw her arms around his pale neck. He wrapped her into a tight hug, and she squealed. "When did you get here?" She asked, as he set her down, the snow crunching underneath their feet.
"Late last night. I was sent as a precaution. Naruto had to go back with Shikamaru and Lee to complete his training and all of the stuff for the rokudaime-hokage position. With him fixing to become kage and being a jinchuriki and all, Tsunade-Sama doesn't want to take any chances."
"Understandable..." She answered, more to herself than out loud. "I can see she is quite concerned about my safety here, but between Sasuke and I, I think I can take care of myself."
Sai smiled, and joined her as she walked up the stairs to the double doors that led inside. "I don't think you do, Sakura-San...She actually threatened to hurt me if I didn't get my ass over here and keep an eye on you."
Sakura wanted to die.
"But...why would she want to cut my penis off?"
and she did.

Sakura walked back into the house of sorts, a few hours later, expecting Sasuke to be gone. Instead, he was standing at the small kitchen counter, scratching his head. She gave a quiet 'hello' and proceeded to walk back to the bedroom.
"Who were you with?" He suddenly asked and she froze. She turned towards him, narrowing her gaze on him. She saw the jealousy in his eyes. He took in her disheveled appearance: her hair was starting to come out of the once neat bun in was in earlier that morning. Her face looked clammy and flushed. And her cloak was wrinkled and dirtier than he remembered the day before.
"I...was...with Sai." She answered, raising her chin and straightening her spine in defiance. "Tsunade sent him here to replace Lee and Shikamaru since Naruto had to have escorts to make it back to Konoha. Why? Who do you think I was with?"
"I don't like him." He muttered, and she pursed her lips in a thin line.
"Well that's too bad." She disappeared into their bathroom, and he quickly followed.
When he arrived at the door way a minute later, She was already undressed. His eyes went wide when he saw that she was wearing a red lacy bra and a pair of lacy matching red panties. There was scratches and a pretty good sized bruise on her shoulder and more scratches on her legs.
"What the hell, Sasuke, can't I have some privacy?" She yelled glaring at him in the mirror. He just smirked, and instead of turning and leaving, he walked into the small bathroom. And shoved her against the sink.
"What were you doing with Sai...?" He asked, tucking his chin into the v of her neck, whispering into her ear in a low voice.
"S-sparring." She muttered, a blush making it's way across her cheeks.
'She is so asking for it...' Sasuke thought to himself. His right hand made a slow perusal of her body, running down her waistline and stopping at the edge of her panties.
"Why are you fighting me but run to him at a moment's notice...?" He asked, letting his tongue dart out to trace the tender skin of her ear and neck.
"I don't know what you're talking about Sasuke."
"Hn." His fingers slowly inched their way into those sinful red panties, massaging the soft curls underneath. His left hand cupped her bra, squeezing rather hard, and she bit her bottom lip, trying not to give him the satisfaction of hearing her moan.
It was then that she kicked back with her leg and brained him squarely between the legs. He froze, throwing a hand out to catch himself against the door jamb before he fell over. Pain radiated from his balls and into his stomach, and he felt like retching. Thank kami he had an empty stomach.
"Maybe if you weren't such a bastard half the time, you wouldn't feel so insecure and jealous about Sai and I." She growled, stepping around him to put on some clean, dry clothing. "And maybe if you could apologize, things would be better with you and I." She looked over at him. His face ad nearly turned a reddish purple, and he was doubled over, one arm braced against the doorjamb, the other cradling his stomach.
"...Unnnn...?" That was all he could get out for the time being. After Sakura threw on a clean tunic and a pair of pants, She walked back out of the room, grabbing a lightweight jacket as she walked out the door.
'That bitch...' He thought.

Sakura stomped through the deep snow that bordered the woods as she thought.
'The nerve of that man!' She screamed inwardly. 'What Sai and I had, which nothing was really even there... is in the past. And how could I be cheating when there is NOTHING going on between me and that...that...Uchiha!?'
"Damn it!" She yelled, and threw a chakra laden punch. Her fist connected with a tree, and the towering giant fell with a groan, crashing into the forest floor. She winced, and instantly regretted it. She shouldn't be taking her anger out on trees. She should be redirecting it at a certain raven haired, socially and emotionally retarded man.
She dropped her fist and silently cursed herself. 'It's my own damned fault. He is trying...but doesn't he deserve to have to work even harder after all those times he's pushed me away?' She continued walking, and smiled when she saw another familiar face.
"Suigetsu, how are things coming along?" She called out, taking a deep breath after greeting him to calm herself down and bring her chakra levels back to a normal reading.
The water nin gave her a toothy grin. "Eh..." She smiled at his lack of response.
Then there was a whirlwind of activity.
The pale haired nin was reduced to a puddle at another nin's feet, and a sword sliced through the now watery substance that made up the content of his body. An electrical current ran through the large body of water, neutralizing the man. The enormous sword lay useless on the snow, and Suigetsu let loose a string of curses.
Sakura stood frozen to the spot as she realized who it was standing before her. It was Kylie, the Kunoichi from the land of Lightning.
"Thanks for letting me find you. I was starting to lose hope, you pink haired little bitch." The blond woman sneered. Sakura glared back at her, keeping a level head.
"What do you want?"
"I want the scroll that you stole from me all those months ago. We were planning on using it for something...very special." She murmured, sheathing her sword smoothly into the black scabbard at her hip. She crossed her arms and stared at the pinkette that barely stood ten feet from her.
"I didn't steal a damned thing." Sakura hissed, putting her hands to her hips, standing her ground. "I retrieved that scroll in good faith. It was stolen from the Raikage years ago by Orochimaru." The blond shook her head. "So yes, in a way I did steal it back, but it was because it actually belonged to the third Hokage in the first place. But because of the peace treaty with the other four countries, we had to let the Damyo have it."
"It doesn't matter." Kylie laughed out.
"Why am I explaining myself to you in the first place?"
"Becuase you're too fucking soft. I think bedding down with the Uchiha and raising his little shit brat has taken it's toll on the mighty Sennin pupil of The Godaime." Sakura saw red.
'how did she find out about Aiko...?'
The blond suddenly lunged, her blade in her hands once again, straight for Sakura. The pinkette prepared herself for battle and pushed massive amounts of chakra into her feet for evasive maneuvers. Suddenly a man was in front of her, and the loud clash of blades slamming together rang in her ears. She could hear the screaming protests of the two finely honed blades as they slid together, and the man before her won out. Kylie's blade sang as it vibrated in her small hands, then flew ten feet away, lodging itself into a tree. The blond jumped away and landed on her feet, breathing heavily.
Sasuke turned a blood red gaze to the woman who stood behind him.
He didn't have to ask. He narrowed his gaze on her, studying her quickly, then turned his attentions back to the intruder. Kylie smirked as she retrieved her katana then disappeared. Sasuke glanced around, then followed suit. Sakura stood there for a second or two, then went to assist Suigetsu.

Sasuke didn't come back for a few hours. She knew that he could take care of himself, but she was still worried. She was going out of her mind. She was on lock down. Shikamaru and Lee wouldn't stay away from her. They were really driving her insane and increased her stress levels. She was about to send one or both of them through a wall.
"Why did she come here..." She wondered out loud, seeming to ask the white walls for verification. "She knows that assaulting me or Sasuke would be the same as declaring war on the leaf..." She thought for a second, chewing her thumb nail, and froze.
"What if she wasn't from Kaminari no Kuni...?" She jumped up. A revelation. "She wearing someone elses Hitae ate! That's gotta be it. The Raikage and their Daimyo would never stand for a traitor trying to sever the peace treaty between the villages. She's from Ishi no Kuni!"
–
Rock Lee stood outside of the Police district. Wooden rafters creaked in the slight breeze, and the waning moon gave little light that night. The Uchiha symbol over the front entrance stood out greatly. It was the first thing that Lee noticed as he walked up to it. The mounds of snow that covered the earth seemed to glow all on it's own, a stark contrast next to the darkness of the weak light. Shikamaru and Sakura stood inside with the door slightly ajar, talking about the events of the day before.
"You really think so...?" Shikamaru murmured with a hand to his chin, his thumb stroking his jaw as he thought. "It makes perfect sense, Sakura-san, but we can't just go accusing a priest that runs the village of treachery."
"I know. But it does kind of clear things up, doesn't it? But, what would they want with the scroll that Tsunade had me take back?" She threw herself onto the bar stool, and it scraped the floor loudly. Shikamaru winced, trying to think.
"You're being too loud." He muttered, wracking his brain for answers. "The only thing that we can do is pretend it didn't happen and have Tsunade request a team to be sent over to investigate this sudden interest in you and this mysterious scroll."
"Ok. It's too bad that I can't go because I have to stay and supervise all this shit..."
"Not only that..." Sasuke's voice invaded her thoughts when he walked into the room. Shikamaru looked over her head, seeing the raven haired man standing in the middle of the room. "Anyone would know your chakra signature, and that god-awful head of pink hair." Sakura's eyes narrowed.
"Happy hunting?" Shikamaru asked, and Sasuke merely shook his head, telling them it came up empty.

Sasuke sat in the office that had just been finished. The smell of fresh paint was giving him one hell of a headache. He had the good mind to burn it back down. He wasn't getting anywhere. It didn't matter that he now had a half ass village; a police district set up in both Konohagakure and Oto; he new hospital with staff to provide care to the injured.
All that mattered was Sakura.
He needed her.
He wanted her.
He didn't understand why she kept rebuffing his advances. No matter how nice he was, she managed to come back with some witty remark that sent his anger soaring over the edge, past the point of return.
No other woman acted the way she did.
Everyone else bowed down to him and begged him for attention. Especially Karin. He first thought he had been holding her to a double standard. Isn't everyone held to a double standard?
A door slammed, jarring him from his thoughts, and a red headed woman walked into the room. Sasuke sighed loudly, seeing Karin saunter over to his desk, and he fixed her with an apathetic stare.
"What."
Karin pouted.
"Sasuke, you know I don't like it when you talk to me like you do that konoha bitch." She snarled, and his eyelid twitched.
"What is it." He leaned back into his chair and crossed his arms, a wary expression over his face.
Karin leaned forward and batted her lashes.
"I know what you want." She murmured. Sasuke's face remained blank, but his eyes bore holes into her forehead. "That little hussy won't let you have all this. She came here knowing about your arrangement with the Godaime of Konoha. She knows what you could lose if she chooses to go back."
He narrowed his gaze on her face, and scowled. Sasuke stood, and ignored the girl, which made her even angrier.
"She doesn't love you like I do, Sasuke-kun!" She shrieked. Sasuke continued walking around the desk and past the redhead, his face an emotionless facade. "I love you. I was there for you when you needed me! Where was she! She could've come with you, why didn't she?"
Sasuke stopped and turned to her.
Karin let a small smirk crawl over her face, thinking she gained higher ground with the Uchiha.
"It's different." He muttered. "She's different."
Karin's face fell. "She'll never give you what you want." She hissed, and Sasuke scrunched his brows together.
The next thing Karin knew, Sasuke slammed her against the freshly painted wall behind her, and his long fingers dug into her shoulder. She dared not look up into his face. "I'll take what I want...when I want." He whispered harshly, making the red head wince beneath him.
Unbeknownst to the Uchiha, Sakura was standing outside the door. Karin planned the whole thing. She ran a shaking hand through her hair, and gulped back tears when she heard him shove Karin into the wall. She could swear the doors shook from the force of the impact.
She didn't really get to hear what was said, but she didn't even want to. It was time for her to leave. Karin was going to get what she wanted. Sasuke Uchiha. Obviously, Sasuke was tired of her own repeated rejections.

Sakura finished sealing her things inside the many scrolls at her belt. She was leaving. Sasuke no longer wanted her. If he ever even did. He'd said the other night that Aiko was a mistake. This was never meant to be. As she strapped her bag over her back the door was shoved open and slammed back against the wall.
Sasuke appeared in the doorway, breathless and staring her down. "What are you doing."
"Leaving. Because I don't belong here. I never did."
Sasuke opened his mouth, then promptly closed it once more. She clipped one last scroll to her belt, then turned to walk past him when he slammed a hand against the doorjamb.
"Move." She hissed, fixing him with a glowing iridescent stare.
"I...Need you here." He murmured and Sakura tilted her head in confusion. He refused to look at her. His glowing onyx gaze remained fixed on the floor, and she wanted to scream at him to look at her.
"You already have someone here to suit your every whim, Uchiha." She stated, and stepped forward once again, but Sasuke refused to back down. He laid a hand on her arm, gently gripping the soft, toned muscle of her arm. She ignored him, and grabbed his wrist, fully intending on prying it off of the wall with the plaster in his hand if she had to.
"Why don't you go back with Karin!?" She seethed, trying to shove him away from her. "She seems to yield to you a lot more than I would in every aspect! I shouldn't be here. Now let me go."
"I need you here. I would gladly throw everything away if you would just stay here. Your village needs you here. You would be throwing out the contract if you leave, and betray your kage." He said, finally letting those glittering black orbs land on her face. She wanted to laugh. Bitterly. Dryly. In his face. At the irony of this situation.
"I begged you to let me go with you when we were 12. I would've abandoned Naruto, my parents...our village...Sound familiar?" She chuckled. "Maybe now you can at least show a little empathy, understanding and just maybe you'll be as crushed as that 12 year old little girl!"
She quickly ducked under his muscular arm, but he grabbed her again, this time by both arms, and spun her around to face him once more. Then, before she could protest, Sasuke's soft lips met her own. She froze as he held her to him, his fingers digging firmly into her upper arms. She marveled for a split second at how soft, warm and yielding his lips were against hers instead of being as they looked: hard and cold.
He pulled a hairsbreadth away, staring down into her eyes. To her shock, his Sharingan had activated. "I don't want her. I never did." He whispered. He closed his eyes, letting his lips meet hers once more, nibbling on her lower lip. "I want you."
She tried to pull away, not wanting to believe him. "But you said Aiko-"
"He was a mistake." He said firmly. "But a good one." Sakura's eyes welled with tears, and Sasuke frowned. "Why are you crying?"
"I don't know..." She brought her hands to her face and wiped the tears, then wrapped her arms around his neck. Sasuke's lips suddenly seemed to melt against her own once as his hands wasted no time to run down her body to grip her rounded bottom. He pulled her up against him, then staggered back into the small room, slamming the door with his foot.
Sakura broke away from him, hesitantly, and fixed him with a suspicious stare. "Why do I feel like I can't trust you as far as I could throw you...?"
At that moment, Sasuke's brow furrowed, and his eyes glittered with anger. His jaw clenched repeatedly, the muscle twitching rapidly under his skin. His nostrils flared dangerously as he let out a deep breath, and stepped away from her, eyes closing tightly as he turned and walked away.
Sakura leaned back against the wall, not even regretting what she said. Because it was true. She couldn't trust him. After all, he was just using her.

They haven't had any real emergencies since their arrival other than the team that was attacked and needed immediate attention two months ago. There was the occasional flu, exhuasted jounin that needed a room for some serious rest, children with broken bones, scraped knees, deep cuts, burns and other injuries from training sessions. Nothing really out of the ordinary. It was a lot less busy than Konoha's hospital.
It came as no surprise that the pinkette missed the busy schedule. Sakura sat in her office, feigning boredom as she stared down at the paperwork she just finished. All that was left was the Uchiha's signature. It was a form to order more supplies from Konoha. Aiko was back in Sound, permanently, or at least until she had to leave to go back to Konoha in the summer. She had no choice but to let Sasuke take him in case she did get busy at the hospital. She was so lost in her thoughts that she didn't even hear the door open to her office.
"Haruno-san...?" one of her assistants, a young brunette named Emmi, seemed to squeak. Sakura looked up, startled, and settled when she saw the young medic-nin standing in the doorway awkwardly. The young woman, barely four years younger than Sakura, knew the woman behind the desk in front of her could have one hell of a temper when she was riled. And by the look on the pinkette's face, she didn't have long before she blew.
"Yes, Emmi...?" Sakura murmured, wiping a hand through her messy hair, and managed to smile weakly. "What is it...?"
"I...I just wanted to check in with you to make sure there was nothing else you needed done before I left. My shift just ended fifteen minutes ago."
"Oh. Yes, you can go, Emmi. I just have to run this paperwork to the kage. Go and get some rest. I will see you tonight." Said girls smiled, and shut the door behind as she left.

It was nearly Christmas. The hospital was completely finished two weeks ago, much to Sakura's amazement. She had put everyone's asses into high gear, but the hospital was in full working order. Oto was made up of a compilation of hideouts, thanks to Orochimaru, but Sasuke and the others managed to use a few of them. For example, there was a tunnel that led to a hideout about three hundred yard north of the hospital, which was where Sakura was headed. Up top was the kage's office and soon to be home. It was a beautiful, elaborate building. Under ground was much simpler. There were three separate rooms; one used for a meeting between the five main village leaders, and the other two were divided into two separate training rooms for the Oto leader himself. Sakura was amazed at the progress that was made within the village. The village was bustling with activity, looking to their kage for protection and other worldly needs. He even had his own group of female and male Sound citizens and Kunoichi alike that cooed and drooled over his retreating form when he walked the streets. Street vendors were all over the place, selling fruit, meat, flowers, and other small intricate things.
She walked slowly to the large mansion that Sasuke now occupied during the day, nodding in acknowledgment to the ANBU guard standing at the large door. He smiled and opened it with little effort, letting her walk through. She walked through an elaborately decorated dining area, up a set of stairs, down the large hallway and turned left as she hit a dead end, and stopped at a door to her right. She pushed the door open, not even bothering to knock, knowing it would piss the Uchiha off.
"Omma!" Aiko yelled, and ran over to her.
"You're running now?" Sakura cried out, as he ran into her arms, and she lifted him up. He giggled and smacked her lips with his, loudly, barely making out an annoyed, harrumphing sound across the room. She brushed her hands through her son's longer ebony hair, tears coming to her eyes. "It's only been three months, and you're turning into quite the caveman, Aiko!"
She set him down, and he ran on wobbly legs back to his pile of toys in front of his father's desk. Sasuke was watching her with his hands stacked in front of his face, his mouth turned up in a smirk. Then, Sakura noticed who had made the rude noise earlier. Karin was standing off to Sasuke's right, leaning against the large bay window that over looked the town. Sakura's smile slowly faded, and she held out a small handful of papers. "I have some stuff you need to sign. We need supplies. And more staff." She stated simply, watching as the red head sent her an evil glare from the other side of the room. "Has he been good?"
"Bouncing off the walls." Karin interrupted, as the Uchiha opened his mouth. He stood, holding a folded letter in his hands. Sakura narrowed her eyes in curiosity as he put his hand out to her, handing her the letter.
"I've already read it's contents." He murmured, and Karin made another rude comment under her breath. Sasuke's onyx eyes landed on her face, and the red head turned away to look out the window in silence once more.
"What's that, omma?" Aiko asked curiously, and Sakura knelt down next to him as she hastily ripped the paper in her hands open.
"It's a letter from obaa-sama." She whispered, and the boy giggled, deliriously happy, as he wiggled in his mothers lap for her to read the contents inside. She gasped, nearly dropping the paper, closing her eyes. Sasuke leaned against the desk at his back, watching her as she released Aiko and stood. Her iridescent orbs met his onyx gaze, and he could feel the anger in them.
"What does this mean...?" Aiko looked up at his mother in confusion.
"Omma...?"
"Sasuke?" The pinkette and the Uchiha ignored Aiko, and stared at one another.
"It looks as though you're now a citizen of Oto. It clearly says that the Hokage wants you to stay. Permanently. You're not going back to Konohagakure. I wanted you to see it and ask how you felt about it before I signed the transfer of Citizenship paperwork."
If anything, his sudden 'I care about how you feel' gesture pissed her off even more than the stunt that Tsunade decided to pull.
Sakura sighed. At the moment she was content. Her son was happy. That's what counted. What she wanted didn't matter. She was just the pawn in this little game of chess. All Sasuke ever wanted was power. No love, family, someone to be devoted to; to protect. Power, strength. To be better than anyone else; despite the fact that he always thought he was regardless. She watched Aiko as he crawled quickly around the house thinking about why he wasn't running like he usually did. Sasuke was back in his office, going through the mountains of paperwork on his desk. She was glad for the break. Juugo watched Aiko as she frequently went down to the training room downstairs and made use of the equipment.
The person that Aiko once thought was a monster was now the best friend Aiko ever had. He now ran to the flame haired man, Juugo, with a bright and smiling face, jumping into his open arms to go off and play in the snow. Whenever Juugo would come to retrieve the boy for his nature sessions, he always brought presents: small wooden carved birds, deer, cats.
Sakura was happy now that the boy was no longer scared of him. There were really no other kids his age around in Oto, and what older children there were, she was afraid he'd get bullied. So Juugo it was.
The boy bounced off the walls like an energixer bunny, excited about every little thing in the world.
Since Sasuke's 'confession of sorts,' Sakura hadn't seen him, if you didn't count the other day when they got the letter and transfer or citizenship from the Hokage. That was about a week ago. He'd holed himself up in his office, obviously pissed about her cruel retort.
At the end of the day, as she filed medical paperwork and other important things in the archives of the small library/file room that was added onto the mansion, She would smile when she would hear a sudden ear peircing scream along with yells of "Addy, addy, addy, addy!"
Her smile increased at the mere image of irritation on his face that her mind's eye created.
But everytime she would go collect the boy from his father at his bedtime, Sasuke was playing some sort of game with him.
One time she caught them throwing plush shuriken at each other.
'boys...' She thought. 'And he said that I was turning him into a girl? I mean, granted the feminine name...S'not my fualt that we all thought he was a girl and had no way of finding out she was actually a he when he came into the world.' She shoved the file cabinet shut, and walked out of the room, turning the light off as she went. 'Maybe next time it'll be a girl.'
She froze in her tracts.
"?"
She wanted to slap herself at the thought. 'HA! Yeah, right!'

–
All was quiet when she finished reading though her medical books through the night and filing what was left of the paperwork that was stacked in a mess at her desk. She walked into the living room through the hallway to see a head of black hair lying against the arm of the couch in front her and she cleared her throat, noticing that he left the locks at the back of his head laying flat against his head. Sasuke sat up quickly, turning to look at her with tired eyes.
"Hn..."
"Where's Aiko...?" She asked, slowly moving in his direction to sit on the couch, a foot away from him.
He rubbed a hand over his face and cleared his throat, taking a second to answer her. "I but him to bed about an hour ago. It's eleven o'clock..." He fixed her with a funny stare. "what world have you been living in today?" He asked. She sank back into the sofa, closing her eyes, trying to quell the jealousy that wanted to take over her rational, tired mind.
"I have been buried in paperwork..."
Sasuke smirked at her, making an odd noise. "Welcome to my world." He stood up, running those long, lean fingers through his raven hair, pushing it from his face. "Sucks, doesn't it...?"
She laughed, and sat up. "Yes...yes it does..."
An awkward silence fell between them. Sakura could feel the shift that somehow occurred between them. When it happened, she didn't know. It was just suddenly blatantly obvious in the here and now.
So..."
"Um..."
They both started speaking at the same time, and froze, looking at each other with caution.
"You first." Sasuke muttered, shoving his hands into his black nin pants.
"It...It was nothing."
"Ok...well, The maid left some dinner on the counter back there. It's actually still hot. I put Aiko to bed and waited for you...I didn't want to bother you, I know how you get when you are totally absorbed into a certain task..."
She blushed red, and walked behind him as they made their way to the kitchen to eat.
A few days later...
"Omma!" Aiko yelled and Sakura swung the boy up into her arms and wrapped him into a tight hug. He smiled brightly and pulled away slightly, shoving a small and intricately carved wooden owl that bulged from one tiny fist and a squirrel in the other, into her face.
"Oh, how cute, Aiko! Did you tell Juugo thankyou? You have quite the collection there!" She set him down, and the young boy ran across the room with the owl in one hand over his head, making low swooping motions, with the helpless squirrel placed under the table.
"Die, squrrielly!" He squealed, as his hand swept underneath the table and knocked the squirrel underneath the couch, and Sakura's once happy smile fell into a grimace.
"I guess he already knows that squirrels are at the bottom of the food chain..."
Sasuke didn't leave the house as he usually did in the morning. He was still lying in bed in his room. Aiko didn't notice yet that his father wasn't up. He was currently occupied with pretending that his owl was slowly eating and digesting a squirrel. Sakura stood in the kitchen in her pink silk pajamas- a present from her mother, with a message inscribed on paper about how she needed to stop wearing teddys to bed with her son- along with twelve other pairs. Needless to say...since she came to the Uchiha's village, they'd come in handy. "Ugh..." She turned away from her child and went to make coffee. Her feet felt like they were freezing; she now regretted coming out of her bedroom without socks.
As she pulled her coffee cup off of the coffee maker, she heard a loud, masculine yawn. She turned to see Sasuke, clothed only in a simple pair of fleece pants that hung dangerously low on his waist, exposing that V shape that arrowed down and disappeared into the waistband. She stared a little too long, feeling her mouth gape open. She gathered herself once again, noticing that she'd tilted her coffee cup, inadvertently spilling some of its contents.
"Shit." Sasuke was staring at her with a smug look on his face and she growled at him.
"Daddy!" Before Sakura could think about cleaning herself up and coming up with a smart ass retort for the look on the Uchiha's face at catching her ogling him, Aiko ran straight into his father and sent him sprawling on his back onto the tiled floor.
She winced, staying where she was, thinking the Uchiha would come out of the heap of entangled limbs spitting like a soaking wet cat that just had a one hell of a flea dip, but instead he erupted into laughter with the young boy on top of him.
Confused, she put her coffee cup down, ignoring the stain on her pajama top, bracing her hands on the granite counter top underneath her. She peered over the other side to see Sasuke hugging the boy against him and laughing as he poked the boy in the side. Aiko squirmed madly, his face red, trying as hard as he could not to laugh. She rolled her eyes with a smile and grabbed her coffee, walking away to have a moment to herself while Sasuke kept Aiko occupied.

"Mmmmm..." Sakura stretched, yawning loudly, in the chair she was in. She was glad for the day off. Tomorrow she would probably have a huge stack of paperwork at the office, yet again. She mentally groaned in protest, swiping a hand through her hair in exasperation.
She missed getting her hands dirty. Not doing paperwork, actually doing the dirty work itself. Not just the surgeries, repairing torn muscle and broken bones and other things. She missed going on missions with everyone. Anyone, Actually. Extracting people. Retrieving items that were once lost to the nations. Top notch stuff.
She set her now empty coffee cup down on the table beside her, peering out the window into the cold grey sky and shivered. She sat in the small room, well away from the shrieks of laughter and squeals of joy on the other side of the house. It was snowing yet again, and she was hoping that Aiko wouldn't want to go back outside today to play in it.
"Hey." Sasuke's voice pulled her from her reverie, and she turned to look at him. "Did you not hear Aiko? He was looking for you. Juugo took him again today."
"Oh." Her heart clenched, feeling terrible for not waiting to say goodbye for the day to the boy. "Damn...He's gonna be upset with me now."
"Hes like two years old now. He won't be that angry." Sasuke muttered, scratching his side, reminding Sakura of Naruto for a brief moment.
"You've only seen him when he's happy." She corrected, "That boy has the worst temper. He reminds me of someone."
"Hn." Sasuke smirked, and walked over to her. "Is there extra coffee in the kitchen...?" He asked as she sat back, closing her eyes.
"Yeah."
She stiffened slightly as his fingers touched the locks of hair that escaped the messy bun at the nape of her neck. "What are you doing...?" She managed to whisper, not growl.
"Just wondering how ridiculous Aiko would look with pink hair...I would personally be dying it...Thank Kami my genes are pretty dominant."
"Your genes aren't everything. C'mon, Sasuke, stop pretending you are just the cat's pajamas!" She laughed out, earning a frown from him. "I have to say, I have good eye color."
"Hn." He lightly tugged a wisp of hair, making her tilt her head back. "Maybe." He stared into her iridescent orbs; she stared into onyx. His ebony hair stood this way and that in complete disarray, somehow still framing his face perfectly, making him sexy as hell. There were slightly dark circles under his onyx orbs, giving a tell tale sign of how much sleep he'd had recently. Lightly tanned skin; beautifully sculpted roman nose...perfectly chiseled lips- After what seemed like forever, she couldn't take it anymore. She broke his stare, blushing madly, only to have her eyes settle back on the formidable wall of muscle that made up his chest and abdomen. The abs in his lower torso stood out perfectly; those fleece pants riding dangerously low. Her blush deepened, and she made a low keening noise when she looked away to the wall behind him-what of the wall she could see over his broad shoulder.
Then those chiseled lips met her own in a soft kiss. His mouth moved over hers, surprisingly feather soft, and unhurried. His large hands framed her face. He slowly knelt down onto the leather chair next to her, pulling her tighter to him. She opened up under him, and his tongue slid in to explore and tangle with her own. He gave a growl of approval when she relaxed, pushing closer to him, her cold hands seeming to burn against the heat of his chest.
The door suddenly slammed shut.
'When the hell did the door open!?' She thought to herself, as Sasuke tore away from her, looking toward the sound at the front door to his right, with a scathing look.
"Sasuke-San!" Came a familiar voice. "It's Miu...It's ten, so I am here to clean again today! And have you had breakfast? I know how yo two get so busy you forget to feed yourselves...and where is that darling little boy?" The older woman peeked around the double doors to the sitting room, and beamed brightly, despite the weather outside.
Sasuke plastered a fake smile on his face and cleared his throat. "I'll be with you in a moment."
Sakura stood up, taking a deep breath, and walked around Sasuke and up to Miu. "There shouldn't be too much to get, Miu-San..." She murmured, and Sasuke lost track of what they were saying as the walked down the hallway. "Aiko went with Juggo to play today for a few hours..."
He sighed, looking down at the pitched tent in his pants.
"Damn it."

Sakura grimaced as Karin danced her way around Aiko and toward the Uchiha. The boy had just eaten lunch and was quite content to sit on the floor in his own little world with his wooden sculptures. Sasuke really didn't know what to make of it.
'Kami, she's just so...desperate...' She thought to herself, as the redhead touched the Uchiha's shoulder. Sakura was glad that the Uchiha decided to throw on the black Hakama and nin pants after Miu arrived. The redhead whispered in the Uchiha's ear, and moved back a few inches.
"Now...?" Sasuke asked, fixing her with an annoyed glare. She nodded quickly, then he dismissed her. She pranced back around Aiko and his toys, pausing to kick away one of the giant building blocks he was playing with.
Sakura's eyebrow twitched, pushing herself off of the counter she leaned against to say something or yank the bitch's hair out; either or. The latter sounded better.
Sasuke's eyes landed on the rosette, and she stopped where she was. The look on his face seemed to say 'I dare you.'
Instead, Aiko gave an enraged yell, making the redhead turn to the boy with a mean grin stretched across her face. Aiko picked up one of his wooden carvings that Juugo made him and hurled it at the redhead with a good amount of force.
It smacked her in the face, breaking her glasses in half, the lenses cracking. They hit the ground and the lenses fell out in pieces. Karin shrieked, then recovered, staring the boy down.a large dot of blood appeared on her brow line, then quickly trailed a line of crimson down her nose and the side of her lips to her chin. Aiko stared back, and Sakura moved to grab him.
Instead, Sasuke got there first, letting his fingers curl around Karin's slender throat, adding the slightest little bit of pressure.
The woman froze, as did Sakura, shock replacing their angry features.
"I think it's best if you don't ever set foot inside this house again." Karin looked at Sasuke out of the corner of her eye, and her ruby red gaze met onyx orbs, slowly bleeding into a red stain. She choked, out of sudden apprehension, and Sasuke released her. She quickly made herself scarce, forgetting the broken glasses at their feet.
"See..." Sasuke said, turning to look at Sakura, who remained in the kitchen. He set a palm on his son's head, ruffling the already messy, inky locks of hair. The boy giggled and playfully slapped Sasuke's hand away, then crouched down to play once more, the drama around him forgotten. "He can hold his own." With that said, The Uchiha made a hand sign disappeared.
Sasuke came back later that evening, looking very much aggravated as he was exhausted. Sakura set a plate of food on the counter for him, and watched him wolf it down within minutes. She ran a hand through the semi long curtain of pink hair that fell over her shoulders, and pursued her lips in a thin line.
"Are you okay...?" She asked, looking him over, seeing how disheveled he was. He was scratched up; rips all over his pants and hakama; bruised up his arms. He didn't answer her and she furrowed her brow. "Sasuke!"
He jumped, looking up at her in anger then brought a hand to his forehead. "That girl...She showed up again." He murmured, rubbing his brow firmly, trying to massage his headache away. "A scout picked up her chakra signature..I had told them to alert me immediately if she shows..."
"No luck, I take it..." She asked in a low voice. "What are we going to do?"
"I don't know."
"What does she want...?"
"I should be asking you that." He countered, letting his hand fall to the counter top, fixing her with heavy lidded onyx orbs. "One...you stole a scroll. Two...It seems that you may have killed her partner..." He shrugged. "We've established that she's not from the Land of Lightning. She must be a missing nin... "
She bit her bottom lip, worrying it between her teeth for a moment as she thought. "Will Aiko be safe wandering around the area with Juugo?"
"No doubt. Juugo wouldn't let anything happen to him." Sakura smiled, knowing he was right. She walked around the counter and came to stand beside him.
"Just...here, let me check you over, okay...?" She asked, putting a hand on his scratched up arm. He merely grunted and stood obligingly, swaying slightly on his feet. "Um...how long did you look for this girl? Er...I mean how far did you go...?"
"At least a thirty mile radius with four other nin."
"Jeez, Sasuke, you're going to kill yourself."
She put her now glowing hands over the scratches that lined his arms and he watched as her soothingly warm chakra seeped through the wound and healed it from the inside out. He stifled a groan as she made her way over him, and she eyed him warily.
"You're not about to fall out on me are you..." She muttered, and he gave a derisive snort. "You're moaning and groaning like a patient I had back in Konoha that had tore a shit load of muscles in his back..."
"Just keep doing what you're doing..." He murmured, grabbing her wrist firmly in his hand before she could pull away from him. She blushed, and went back to what she was doing.
She finished up a few minutes later and stepped away from him, leaning back against the counter behind her. Sasuke just stared at her with a strange look on his face.
"What?"
"I'm just trying to figure out why every woman you come across, from an enemy village or whatever..." He broke off and chuckled slightly. "They always seem to hate you." She narrowed her gaze, chewing her lip, and he smirked. "I think it's that god awful head of annoyingly pink hair of yours."
She slapped his arm rather hard and he grunted. Before she could slap at him again he grabbed her elbow thus ending her assault on his person.
Before she could pull away, he yanked her against him, trapping her elbow against his chest. His mouth seemed to melt against hers, his tongue quickly invading her mouth to explore and play with hers. Without a second to waste, his hands went to the nape of her neck, tangling his fingers through the mess of pink. He pulled gently, breaking contact with her lips and she gasped as his mouth fastened on a sensitive area of her neck.
He sucked the cord of muscle at her neck, scraping his teeth across the extra sensitized flesh. He roughly pushed her against the counter at her back, hard enough to rattle the plate on the surface. She winced, closing her eyes.
"Sasuke!" She whispered harshly, making him stop and peek down the hall on the other side of the living room. There was no movement or noise coming from Aiko's room, So his eyes fell back onto the rosette in his arms. He stood up, dragging her into his arms. He then began walking toward his bedroom, dragging her caveman style with him.
She didn't know whether to be appalled or flattered.
He pushed her down onto the bed, then sat down beside her. He laid back against the pillows, looping his arms around her waist, pulling her body against his, closing his eyes.
"Sasuke-"
"Shhhhh." He shushed her softly, squeezing her with his arms. She sighed, wanting to smash a fist upside his head as she heard his breathing deepen and his arms relaxed. Every time she tried to move his muscled arms would tighten like bands around her waist, so she pouted and laid there for a while longer.

"What do you mean stolen!?" Tsunade yelled, standing up, fixing the ANBU guard that now cringed ever so slightly in front of her desk under her scrutiny. "How the hell does that even happen!?"
"We do not know, Lady Tsunade. The scroll that Sakura Haruno retrieved is gone. We were attacked by an unknown assailant, and when we woke and took an inventory...It was the only item to be missing."
Tsunade's eye twitched, and she pinched the top of her nose with her thumb and forefinger in irritation. "Are you sure that it is that same scroll?"
"Yes, My Lady."
"Not good." She growled, looking down at her hands. "I want our best Inuzuka on it. If need be, drag Kakashi's lazy good for nothing ass down there too."
" Yes, Hokage-sama!"
And with that, the ANBU agent disappeared into a cloud of dark smoke.

The next day...
Sakura was rudely awakened by a heavy body landing on her back.
"Urghsllmph...!"
She looked over her shoulder to see Aiko jumping on the bed, hopping madly around like a bunny rabbit. Sasuke snored softly next to her in his bed. Her iridescent eyes narrowed on the black, silken sheets and crimson red comforter that covered her fully clothed body, and the blood drained from her face.
She nearly panicked, looking around, then she remembered how he dragged her to his bedroom and fell to sleep, refusing to let her up at all.
"Momma, momma, wake up!" Aiko yelled in a sing-song voice. "Mew made breakfast!" She laughed at the way he pronounced the maid's name, and sat up. (He pronounced it Me U)
"Go tell Mrs. Miu we're coming, Aiko, run along and go eat, Mommy has to wake daddy up." She smiled as he leaped off the bed and landed on the floor, so unlike the nearly two year old grace that he should actually have. As she watched him, he ran out of the room and down the hall.
She was suddenly dragged back down to the mattress again by an arm around her ribcage.
"Not til I finish what I started last night." Sasuke grumbled as he rubbed his nose against the line of her jaw.
"But...the door..." She murmured, making him growl loudly. He stood and stalked over to the wooden door, slamming it shut and locking it. He turned to her and grabbed an ankle when he walked back to the edge of the bed. He dragged her to the end of the bed, hitching her knee over his hip as he leaned forward. Desire seemed to flare in his eyes as he dipped his head and kissed her. His tongue ran across her bottom lip, demanding her to yield to him and for once, instead of fighting him tooth and nail, she did.
His lips and tongue moved slowly, as if dancing with her own, as if he had all the time in the world, so unlike the usual frenzied need in the past.
His hands pulled at her red and pink plaid colored pajama top, and she lifted herself up as he pulled it off and threw it onto the other side of the bed to the floor. He pulled away and looked down at her bared bosom as she laid back against the bed, letting his hands smooth over the skin over her ribs, lightly touching the underside of the rounded flesh with his fingertips. He leaned forward once more, his mouth closing on a hardened peak. She gasped as he latched on and payed his attentions to one, then the other, making small pulses of desire shooting through her body. He fingers tucked into the waistband of the matching pajama pants, and he scowled.
"Fuck these damn pajamas." He bit out, yanking them ruthlessly from her hips with one tug, leaving her naked. "Don't ever wear them again..." He ordered, leaning over again to catch her lips with his own. She made a non-committal sound against his lips as she pushed back against him, her hands grasping the black, ripped up hakama he wore since last night. She pulled it apart from where the fabric gaped at his pectoral muscles, ripping it off of his body, letting it fall from his shoulders to a heap on the floor at his feet. His hands went to the belt at his pants and as they came loose her hands delved inside to find him hard and throbbing against the restraining clothing.
He gingerly stepped out of the offending material and sucked in a breath as her hand closed around the base of his member and let out a loud groan as her mouth closed over the head. Her tongue flicked over the veins that ran along his shaft's length, and she sucked, raking her teeth softly over the silken, hardened, hot flesh.
His hands fisted in her hair, his long fingers tangling in the pink locks; massaging firmly as she sucked his cock, his head lolling back on his shoulders. Her other hand coddled his balls, slowly massaging. He jerked against her, thrusting into her mouth suddenly with a soft moan.
"No more..." He murmured, pushing her away gently. She fell back against the bed once more, and he pulled her hips forward to the edge of the bed, hitching her knees over his hips once again. He Leaned down and nuzzled her neck as he slowly, inch by excruciating inch, slid his cock into her wet passage.
Sakura's body stiffened at the intrusion, her walls clenching around his length, making him groan once more. He reacted by biting the corded muscle of her neck once again, feeling as if his whole body was pulsating from the sheer pleasure. She arced against him, thrusting her hips down as she gasped, making him go deeper.
He set a slow pace, thrusting into her as slow and hard as he could. He rocked against her, feeling his mind and body seem to hum together in unison from pleasure.
Her heart was pounding fast and hard; it was like she couldn't hear anything other than the rush of blood through her head. Their breathing was fast and erratic. She crossed her ankles at the base of his spine, increasing the depth of his thrusts and urging him on. His lips met hers once again in a deep, frenzied kiss, their tongues twisting together and exploring. Sasuke drove into her, His pace gaining speed and more force. Muscles bunched and tightened, nerve endings seemed to coil and beg for release.
Sakura felt her body seem to melt into his own, all she could feel was the pleasurable sensations of his cock sliding between her folds. As his hands seemed to mold themselves to the curve of her hips to keep her steady and push her further down onto his pelvis, her world unraveled as she climaxed. She tossed her head back, exposing her throat to him, his hand tangling into her hair and pulling, making her arch her back, thrusting her breasts upwards; begging for attention. He closed his mouth over a rosy peak, continuing his frenzied thrusts into her core, which was her undoing once more and she came again, her muscles clamping around him once again, with a yell. He felt as if his world exploded as his orgasm ripped through him, a buzzing sound in his head, blocking out all other sound.
He picked her up and dropped her further up onto the bed, and he collapsed on top of her, balancing his weight on his elbows. They slowly came down from their sexual high, kissing each other lackadaisically. Sasuke rolled to his side, tucking her against him, a low rumble of a laugh emanating from his belly.
Sakura looked up at him with heavy lidded eyes. "What's so funny...?"
He laughed for a few more seconds and sucked in a deep breath. "I think...we should go get breakfast before Aiko decides to investigate why his mother was yelling."
Sakura's face flamed, and she jumped up to a sitting position, covering her face with her hands. "I was not really that loud!" She looked to Sasuke who fixed her with a bored look. "Was I?"
He pursued his lips into a thin line, then swung his legs over the side of the bed, giving her a rueful look before he turned away to get dressed.
"Sasuke?"

Sasuke cleared his throat as he walked into the kitchen alone, leaving Sakura to sneak away to her room for fresh clothing. Aiko looked up at his father with stuffed cheeks, his mouth full of waffles, syrup leaking from his pursued lips.
He chewed and swallowed the mouthful down and smiled wide at Sasuke. "Yummee, daddy!"
"You'd better hurry and get you and Sakura-San some...this kid's going to eat all of it if you don't." Miu announced, giving the elder Uchiha a knowing smile. Sasuke shifted uncomfortably and turned his gaze to Aiko, who was struggling to shove another plastic forkful of waffle into his small mouth.
"Kami, Aiko!" He exclaimed, taking the fork from the boy, and cutting the food into smaller bites. As he dug the fork through the sweetened bread, Aiko fixed him with a confused stare.
"Daddy, what was mommy yelling about? Mew said you were wrestling."
The plastic fork broke into two pieces and Sasuke froze. "Um. Yeah. Wrestling. Daddy won, by the way."
"Yay daddy!" He shrieked. Miu walked out of the room, a hand over her mouth as she laughed quietly.

Sakura walked around the hospital, making her rounds slowly. She was in no real hurry to leave and get home. Sasuke decided to stay home another day since yesterday's off day turned into him having to chase a rogue kunoichi. The way Aiko clung to his father's leg as he walked around the house, legs and arms wrapped around the lean, muscled limb with Sasuke walking around awkwardly sent a silent message to the rosette that the boy wanted to spend the day with him. For once, it seemed, Sasuke Uchiha didn't mind. He seemed to have grown fond of the boy.
She finished checking her patients after about two hours. Nothing serious; mild injuries and a case of a cold. She pulled her jacket on over her plain, white, long sleeved shirt and made her way home. After a relatively short walk in the freezing weather, 'Thankfully it wasn't snowing.' She told herself, She walked into the door, loving the warm blast of air that greeted her as she walked in. It was around seven thirty, and she was starving.
Just as she ditched her boots, a loud knock sounded from behind her.
'Who in the world could that be..." She murmured more to herself than anything, stopping for a second as she heard Aiko laugh manically. There was a loud splash afterwards, and she smiled. Aiko was getting a bath, and it sounded like Miu was having a rough time of it. She pulled the door open, and the cold air that greeted her made her toes curl on the hard wood floor.
She looked up, teeth chattering, utterly bewildered at the sight that stood before her on the walkway.
"K-Kakashi?" She squeaked. He was wearing his usual nin attire, a thick scarf, and a pale brown colored cloak that blew lightly in the wind, hiding the rest of his body.
There was only one reason why HE would be here. Something had happened. Something bad. Ibiki only sent him on retrieval missions. Lie traitorous dead body missions, since he joined Ibiki's ranks.
"Sakura..." He seemed to purr, placing a hand on her head, rubbing the messy pick locks that were coming loose of the bun at her nape. "Where...is Sasuke?"
His eyes held a dismal look, and she felt her stomach seem to drop. "W-what's going on...?"
Soft foot falls dragged her attention from the silver haired Jounin at the door and she grabbed his arm to drag him inside.
"It's freezing outside, so come in and tell me just what the hell is going on." She said, an air of authority to her voice.
"What's going on?" Sasuke appeared around the corner, his black shirt soaking wet and a towel over his head, drying his ebony hair.
"Sasuke..." Kakashi breathed, then sighed, not wanting to do what he had to do next. "I have to take you back to Konoha. You're under arrest."
Sasuke stopped what he was doing, fixing the older nin with a deadly look. "What the fuck are you talking about...?"
"I can't say." He answered, his eyes bleak. "Tsunade sent me to get you and bring you back. I intend to do so...whether it's willingly or by force." Sasuke's brow pinched together, the tension in the air so thick that Sakura felt that she would suffocate. Aiko's ear piercing scream rent the air, pulling them from the situation at hand.
Sasuke rolled his eyes, dropping the towel. Sakura looked from one to the other, confusion marring her pretty features. "Sasuke, what's going on?"
"Stay here with Aiko." He ordered, leaving the room, walking back to his own room. "I'll be right back." Kakashi nodded, trusting the Uchiha not to run.
"Kakashi...?"
"I'm sorry, Sakura..." Was all he merely said. "We'll clear things up in a few days."
"A few days?!" She yelled. "What about Oto, Aiko, me?!" She threw her arms up. "What is so important that you have to come here, YOU of all people, and drag him off?"
"He took something." He deadpanned, glancing at her. "Something very...very valuable."
Her blood ran cold.
Before she could ask what it was, Sasuke appeared around the corner, shrugging into a heavy cloak and zipping up his heavy boots.
"Let's go and make this quick then." He said, then walked past Kakashi. The door slammed behind him, and Kakashi smiled half heartedly at the rosette, putting a hand to her cheek.
"Don't worry."
With that said, he walked out the door, leaving her standing there alone in the foyer.
R/R!
