Well anyway, enjoy chapter 8!
The Five Marauders, Year Seven
Chapter 8
"Wow. You look..." Sirius' eyes scanned me once again. "Wow."
"Thanks. You look pretty wow too," I smirked.
Sirius extended his arm towards me, offering his hand which I happily took.
"So where are we going," I asked as our fingers interwined together and we made our way out of the house.
"That's for me to know," he replied, reaching for the door and slowly opening it for me. "And you to find out."
I stepped outside into the warm summer evening and my jaw fell open at what I saw.
"You didn't..."
"What? Don't you like it?" Sirius wondered worringly. "I know you once said you've always wanted a ride in one of those and just because they're muggle, doesn't mean I don't appreciate their speed or looks. So I thought I might as well rent it for tonight, instead of using floo."
I wasn't a big car fanatic, therefore I didn't know how much it cost or what speeds it could reach. However, I could easily recognise the logo and the silhouette of a brand new Boss 302 Mustang, one of the most desired cars these days.
"Are you joking? I love it!" I exclaimed, and I truly did.
Sirius opened the passanger's door for me and once I was sat, he quickly clamied the driver's seat.
"You know how to drive?" I asked. This was brand new information.
"No!" He laughed. "I do, however, know quite a few spells I cast beforehand. The car will drive itself, I'm just here to look good." I laughed and he continued. "The car's guaranteed not to crash, I'm not sure how but it is, plus it can travell as fast as we wish and none of those muggle speed cameras or any cops will notice."
"Awesome."
Everything Sirius said about the Mustang was true: As the car sped through the streets, nobody took any notice and it seemed to jump and squeeze inbetween other cars, very much alike the Kinght Bus, except the ride was much more plesant. We listened to a muggle music station I found that played pretty much all the good songs, ranging from Led Zeppelin, The Eagles, ACDC, and even ABBA! And I was shocked to hear Sirius singing along to Dancing Queen as he pretended to drive the car.
The sky grew darker and the stars came out once we finally reached London some time later. We sped through the large city to the final destination. You should have seen my face when Sirius parked the car in front of the Globe Theatre!
"What are we doing here?" I asked, bewildered.
"Fishing," Sirius replied sarcastically. "What do you think we're doing."
"What are we seeing?" I inquired as Sirius lead me inside the large building.
He tapped his nose mysteriously and lead me to the doors behind which I guessed the play would take place. He handed two tickets I haven't seen before to the man at the door, who after wishing us a good experience, handed us a programme and opened the doors to let us through.
My eyes widened for the umptieth time that day when my eyes fell on the programme and I found out what the show we are seeing is.
"Oh my God," I whispered. "Sirius I can't believe this! I love you so much!"
I threw my arms around his neck and kissed him deeply, before pulling away and finding our seats.
Sirius laughed merrily before saying, "The first film you've ever shown me. I thought it'd be appropriate to see the play version now."
"Wizard of Oz," I muttered happily. "I can't believe you remembered."
"It's your favourite movie; how could I forget?"
"That was amazing! Thank you so much!" I couldn't stop thanking Sirius two hours later, once the play had finally finished. "Seriously, this is the best night of my life."
"And it's not over yet," Sirius grinned, once again opening the car door so I may enter first. "One more surprise to go."
To my annoyance, Sirius didn't even hint at where we were going. We didn't drive long until we stopped before a very fancy looking building. Sirius continued with his 'gentelmany' act, opening the door of the car for me and offering me his arm. The building turned out to be a really posh muggle restaurant with crème walls and round tables covered with white tablecloths, in the middle of which stood bouquettes of red roses and candles.
"Reservation for two. Name's Black," Sirius told the hostess with a wink. I felt a twinge of jealousy when I saw the young and pretty hostess blush and I clung to Sirius' arm even tighter. She checked the name in that little book of hers and began leading us towards one of the more secluded part of the restaurant. Sirius pulled out my chair for me and I honestly thought I was going to faint. He was being so sweet and romantic today! I couldn't help the butterflies fluttering around my stomach as he sat in front of me, looking handsomely casual. He didn't wear a proper suit, just a pair of black smart trousers and a purple shirt with the sleeves rolled up to the elbow and the top button popped open. He looked absolutely delicious.
Time couldn't have passed faster since what felt like ten minutes, yet in reality was almost an hour and half, our meal was over and it was time to leave. Sirius thanked the hostess who, in my opinion, passed by our table way too often, and we began to make our way out of the restaurant, hand in hand. It was the perfect evening.
…
Or so I thought.
A loud explosion shook the building and all of a sudden, the glass enterance was completely blown up. Glass shards rocketed across the whole building, slicing and cutting everyone. People were screaming in shock, fear and confusion, even more so when the death eaters entered. I heard Sirius suck in a breath while my own eyes opened in shock and a small, fearfull gasp left my lips.
15 or so hooded men in black cloaks and masks entered the restaurant and all muggles stopped their screams and shouts as they took in the fearfull sight.
"Kill everyone. Have some fun, if you wish," the order echoed around the room and at once, green, red and silver lights flew in every direction. I was frozen in shock and only realised what was happening when Sirius pulled me behind a turned over table.
"Have you got your wand?" He asked, doubt clear in his eyes as he looked me over. I had no bag, no sleeves, nowhere to hide a wand. At least that was what he though. I pulled up my skirt slightly, revealing a holster around my thigh. Pulling the wand – 12 inches, Ivy, Centaur hair – I exchanged looks with Sirius, who now held his own wand, and we silently communicated.
Good luck. Watch out.
And then we were both off, Sirius stopping the oncoming death eaters, while I battled the ones that were torturing the muggles. Seeing us, most of the Death Eaters forgot the muggles, instead concentating on us, meanwhile a fraction still targeted the scattering men, women and children. I was fighting around five death eaters at once, when a wail of uttermost sorow distracted me. My eyes shot towards a boy, must have been around six, clutching the corpse of a woman. I began making my way towards the child to protect him, while still fighting more and more death eaters, when suddenly a green spark zoomed past me, hitting the kid. I froze in place as the boy collapsed on top of the woman, his screams no longer existant. They killed an innocent child.
In my moment of shock, I forgot about the men I was supposed to be fighting and suddenly a spell threw me off my feet. The pain was so intense, so all-consuming, that I no longer knew where I was... white-hot knives were piercing every inch of my skin and I felt myself screaming, though I could no longer hear. Faintly, I heard a familiar voice scream my name as I spazzed out on the floor in pain. What could have been hours later, the pain stopped and I was lying on the floor, breathing heavily. I could feel tears on my cheeks. The room was silent, unlike before and when I opened my eyes, I noticed all the muggles were either dead or escaped. My heart stopped when I saw Sirius, held back by three death eaters as he stared at me with care and worry.
"Jemmia White," I gulped, recognising the voice.
The Death Eater that spoke stepped forwards and waved his wand in front of his face and the evil eyes of Tony Blyth seemed laugh at me, his lips twitching up in a menancing smirk. And when he spoke, his voice was smooth and obviously amused.
"Long time no see."
Oh dayum! He's back! Mwahahahahaaa
