((This is kind of a continuation to the last chapter, to make up for my lack of activity. Chapter 8 coming soon! Hope you enjoy the obvious filler!

The grass sprung against your feet as you chased away from the scene, a furious blush taking over your facial features. The twilight was twinkling, the air was sweet, a perfect time for love….you could hear Freedom shouting behind you, but your feet kept carrying you away. Out of fear, out of embarrassment, you don't know. You focused on your footsteps. left, right, left, right, left….."Wait up!" His familiar voice rang from around 20 feet away from you, and, as if by magic, you stopped. The blonde was sporting the same unmistakable blush as you, and you stood awkwardly, just staring at each other. "Look, I'm sorry i-if I scared you off, it was a stupid move…" Scratching the back of his neck, he stepped closer. "I just asked Francis what to do, and..l.." Well, you decided, Francis had some good insight on romance. "You dork, you didn't have to ask your brother!" You grin, a reassuring glitter in your eye. His slightly embarrassed glance to the ground set off a red alert. "No, really…..just because we're dating doesn't mean we have to be suuuper romantic, okay?" Thankfully, Freedom's facial expression softened, confirming you struck a good chord with the offer. It took a little getting used to, to be kissed, and hugged on, and such. You felt a surprisingly muscular arm wrap around your waist, and pull you in. Resting a head on the spunky American's shoulder, you walked together, in the still twilight, not sure where you were going. It felt so natural, with your feet in synchronization, stepping across the green carpet of grass.
After a few minutes, you heard America take a shaky inhale. "So...erm, (y/n). does this mean…" You met his deep blue eyes, which matched the color of a Caribbean ocean.
"Hm?"
"Are we official?"
For a second, your brain completely blanked. Official on what? Officially kissed, officially friends, what…
"I mean...will you be my girlfriend?"
With an energetic roll of your eye, you reached up to kiss him on the cheek, blush now claiming your whole face.
"Of course."
