Part Eight: Expecting the Unexpected
(1 month later)
The King, now, had a problem on his hand. His kingdom and Nekoma were on the bricks of war. Kageyama was trying to do everything he could to avoid it, but it looked like war was inevitable. The raven still hadn't had time to tell his wife about what was to befall them in a few months, and he honestly was too frustrated to care.
Daichi walked into the a King's study, with Tanaka, then and the three discussed possible solutions for preventing war. By the end of the conversation, it was decided that there would need to be a face-to-face meet with the King of Nekoma in order for everything work out. After Daichi and Tanaka left to make the announcement, Kageyama sat down in his seat feeling tired. The King hadn't gotten any sleep the past few nights because if this matter, so he wanted everything over and done with as soon as possible.
Rubbing his eyes, Kageyama got up from his chair and walked out of his study feeling exhausted. On his way out, the raven almost knocked over his curly-haired spouse.
Catching the redhead in time, Kageyama was relieved and sighed saying, "You should be more careful, idiot, and next time watch where you're walking."
Hinata was taken back by this reply. The carrot-head knew his husband hadn't been getting the acquit amount of sleep he required but he felt like the King had no reason to be rude.
"Bakayama," Hinata started, "You should go to bed. This is stupid, watching you over work yourself."
"I'm not overworking myself. I feel fine." Kageyama mumbled.
Hinata rolled his eyes, "Don't lie to me." The redhead then yawned and rubbed his baby bump that had only just started to appear.
"Let's get some sleep together." Hinata suggested.
The King thought about and, in the end, gave in. The raven could feel his eyes drooping heavily. Once the two made it to the bedroom, the both plopped on the bed and caught up on their sleep.
After a few hours of sleep, Hinata awoke with a need to find look though the kitchen for something to eat. The redhead got up, kissed his husband in the cheek lightly, and left their bedroom.
A few minutes later, the king awoke groggily. Looking over next to him, patting the opposite side of the bed, he noticed his redhead was no longer there.
The King got up then and left for his study once more, to finish his paperwork. On his way to his study, he passed by the kitchen; his nose caught a peculiar scent that stopped him for a moment. The raven backtracked his stepped and saw his spouse in there eating something.
Walking in Kageyama asked, "Did you sleep well?"
Hinata nodded and then said, "It's the cravings, they woke me up."
"What are you craving at this particular hour of the day?" Kageyama questioned.
Hinata smiled and said honestly, "Well lots of things but right now I want a met bun stuffed with anchovies and pickles. I also wanted gravy on top of it, however, I heard we were out of gravy."
Kageyama saw Hinata frown at the thought of the kitchen not having gravy. Kageyama sat next to Hinata and said to him, "I'll try to see what I can do about that for next time, but for now, there is no gravy."
Hinata gave a large smile and hugged his husband suddenly and tightly, "Thank you, thank you, thank you, Kageyama." Hinata exclaimed.
The raven lightly patted the redhead's back and then Hinata went back to eating. Kageyama cleared his throat and decided to tell Hinata about what was in store for the both of them. The redhead listened to his husband diligently as he ate until Kageyama started talking about traveling abroad while the baby was almost due. Hinata started to cough, and then swallowed hard. The boy had momentarily choked on his food.
"Are you out of your mind, Kageyama?!" Hinata stated.
"I don't want to leave you alone here so close to your due date, but I also know it's a lot to ask of you to come with me. I received the letter stating I have to go. It's not a choice Hinata. I wish it were though. Believe me, I wish it were." Kageyama answered.
Hinata and Kageyama sat in total silence for a few minutes and then Hinata said softly, "Alright. I'll go with you."
Kageyama smirked and kissed Hinata on his forehead. The raven then said, "It won't be that bad. You can think about it as a vacation."
"Vacation?" Hinata questioned and then paused. The redhead continued, " A vacation, while I'll probably be incredibly tired, complain all the time, and want to sleep everywhere. I read about the last few months and apparently that's all it is composed of. That's not my idea of a vacation BAKAYAMA! Plus who does this guy think he is? Doesn't he have any manners or curtesy at all?" Hinata went on with his rambling.
"Hinata he's my higher up. I can't question his decisions." Kageyama said, making his spouse pout. The raven then started rubbing the boy's baby bump, soothingly, making Hinata lean against him. A moan was let out by the redhead, and he quickly sat up straight and pushed Kageyama's hands away.
"Did you not like it?" Kageyama asked with a smirk.
"It felt nice but we're in the kitchen..." Hinata pointed out.
"Our room isn't too far from here." Kageyama said.
"Carry me then." Hinata instructed and with that the raven picked up his short lover and carried him to their room, closing the door behind them.
Removing his lover's clothing, the rave jumped on Hinata kissing his upper body diligently until it bruised, lightly.
"Kageyama," Hinata whined, "This is embarrassing."
The king was confused by this and asked his spouses what he meant by that.
"Well, you're still dressed and I'm completely naked. I want to touch your warm skin too." Hinata complained.
The king smirked and removed all this clothing except for his boxers, "Happy?" He asked Hinata.
"Better." The redhead replied.
The pregnant boy lay on his back as his husband ravished him. Kageyama's fingers found there way to Hinata's mouth and commanded them to be sucked. The redhead did just that, while sucking at the fingers boy felt his heat get warmer and soon his own fingers found their way to his member and started too lightly stroke it.
The king didn't approve of this and hit the boy's hand's away from his body causing him to mewl loudly.
"I am your husband, only I can touch you like that. Not even you can do that." Kageyama said, seriously.
Kageyama's hands soon found their way to the boy's member and stoked it at an incredibly slow pace. This caused Hinata to cry out, begging his lover to go faster. Kageyama smirked at this and let go of the member, instead he started to suck on the head. The redhead gripped the sheets tightly as his husband gave him a blow job. Kageyama let his tongue play with member as he pleased. In no time, after a tight hitch of breath the redhead came in his husband's mouth. Kageyama swallowed and brought the boy closer to his body. Kageyama then noticed the time.
Holding Hinata's head close Kageyama whispered, "Get dressed. We have guests coming soon."
"Who?" Hinata quickly asked, curiously.
"The King and Queen of Nekoma are having dinner with us, tonight. Did I forget to mention that?" Kageyama asked knowing he had purposely not told Hinata until last minute.
"Yes...you did leave that out of our earlier conversation." There was a long pause and then Hinata got up and said, "I'll go take a bath first."
Kageyama nodded and the redhead disappeared, into the bathroom.
(Time Lapse)
"Sir, King Kuroo and Queen Kenma have arrived." Kageyama was informed by Daichi.
Kageyama sighed but got up and went to go greet them. The King hadn't seen Shouyou since the boy had gotten changed. He pushed the thought to the back of his head and and walked to the door.
"It's a pleasure to finally meet you in person, King Kageyama, I've heard a lot about you." said a boy that stepped through the door.
"Kenma!" A man called from behind him, finally catching up to him the man said, "Don't be so casual with King Kageyama. We are here to talk about formal matters."
Kenma's small smile left his face as he was pulled into a hug by his lover. Kageyama and Daichi escorted them to the dining room that had been beautifully decorated, just for the evening. Kenma and Kuroo sat down on one side of the table while Tobio sat down on the other. There was an empty seat at the table that Kageyama notice his guests also saw.
"Where's Shouyou?" Kenma asked.
Kageyama shrugged as plates full of food were set on the table, "Last I saw of him he was getting dressed, however, I wouldn't be surprised if he changed and went back to bed."
"Wait are you talking about Shouyou Hinata?" Kuroo asked.
Kageyama nodded silently.
"I haven't seen him in a long time..." Kuroo mumbled.
Right then Hinata walked in and said softly, "Sorry I'm late."
"It's nice to see you again Kenma." Hinata started as he walked over and embraced his friend.
Hinata then walked around the table and took a seat next to Kageyama.
Kuroo seemed to be uneasy by this and cleared his throat. The dark-haired man from Nekoma said, "It's been a long time since we've seen each other Hinata. Last I recall, you had become king of your kingdom due to your family's assassination."
This recollection seemed to trouble Hinata. King Tobio could tell the boy was uncomfortable about speaking of such topic so the King tried to change it, "We didn't gather to speak about my spouse. That conversation can be saved for another day. Right now, we are strictly covering about the formal matter at hand."
Kuroo smirked and mumbled, "Always getting to the point."
While eating dinner, thee four of them talked and listened each other's conversations. Hinata and Kenma mostly talked to each other while Kuroo and Kageyama talked about war.
In the end, the matter was solved. Just before the dessert came out, Hinata asked to be excused from the table. King Tobio saw how tired the boy took and allows him leave.
Kuroo took note that the redhead been rubbing his lower abdomen and asked Kageyama if the boy was sick. Kageyama smirked and shook his head, "He's expecting. To be honest I didn't think he'd stay up this long since the baby usually tires him out."
Kuroo looked very surprised to here the fact that Hinata was pregnant and with Kageyama's kid. Kuroo asked, "Have you two been married long?"
"No, but to be honest, Hinata getting pregnant was probably the best surprise I've ever had in my life." The raven paused then continued, " At first I kind of regretted it. But now every time I think about him or the baby I don't know what to feel quite honestly."
Kuroo then looked over at Kenma who looked a bit nervous and said, "Why don't you go with Hinata, Kenma?"
Just as the dirty blonde disappeared from the room the two raven's were left alone. Kageyama had a feeling something was very wrong and he need to find out what it was.
(Perception Lapse)
When Kenma found Hinata the boy was walking into a bedroom. Kenma stayed out of the room but peeked and saw the boy getting undressed. When the redhead was fully naked Kenma attacked closing the door behind him and shoving the blonde onto the bed. Hinata became scared when his eyes were covered by a sheet and he was cuffed to the heavy night tables.
"Kageyama this isn't funny! I'm very tired." Hinata cried.
Kenma discarded all his clothing and touched Hinata softly, running his fingers down the boy's sides. He then touched Hinata's baby bump and rubbed it lightly.
"Your baby has grown so much Shoyou I'm jealous." Kenma said.
Shocked Hinata said, "What are you doing Kemna?"
Kenma swallowed hard and said, "Proving my loyalty to Kuroo, so stop squirming so much."
Hinata bucked and tried to get the blonde off of him but nothing worked. The redhead was completely defenseless. Hinata then plead, "Please Kenma, please stop this."
Kenma's sorrowful eyes couldn't be seen by the redhead but he had to stand firm and so he replied, "I can't Shouyou. Kuroo wants a baby, so I must give one to him, whatever means necessary."
Kenma then started to pump the redhead's member causing the boy to become uneasy. The redhead tried to call for his lover, however, every time he did so he earned a hard spank from Kenma.
Getting his fingers covered in saliva, Kenma prepared himself. Once the dirty-blonde thought he was loose enough he gulped hard and pushed himself closer to Hinata. He had made the redhead hard. The boy was breathing roughly and rapidly and it was bothering Kenma.
"Shoyou, are you feeling okay?" Kenma asked lightly.
With no response Kenma removed the eye covers and started to freak out. Hinata had started to hyperventilate. Kenma knew that if he had a panic attack Hinata had a chance of losing his baby and it would be his fault. The pudding head quickly undid the hand cuffs and tucked the boy in bed. The problem wasn't solved however, the young queen quivered in his bed and started calling for his lover once more.
Gritting hit teeth, Kenma got up, put on some clothes quickly and and left after closing the door. When he found Kuroo, the raven held his weapon pointed towards Kageyama and Kageyama held his weapon towards Kuroo. When Kuroo saw Kenma come in he asked the boy, "Did you succeed?"
Kenma shook his head in disappointment and said, "I'm sorry, I could not prove my loyalty to you."
Kuroo was taken back by this and asked, "Why did you fail me?"
Silent, angry tears dripped down Kenma's face.
"Where's Hinata?" Kageyama asked, seriously.
Kenma whipped his tears with the back of his hand and said softly, "Hinata is why I failed. He went into shock and I got scared. Shouyou's treated me with nothing but kindness since the day I met him and today I've treated him with the most disrespect that any human being should ever have to endure."
"You never answered my question where is he?!" Kageyama yelled, gritting his teeth in angry.
"In his bedroom." Kenma mumbled.
Kageyama put his weapon away and quickly headed to the door. Right as he was bout to leave, Kuroo said, "If you leave king, I will shoot you and send my armies into battle at once."
Kageyama gulped he knew he had to make his next decision wisely. So he said, "Do you not see that my spouse and our child could be in danger and yet you still say such a selfish thing."
Kenma pleaded at Kuroo feet then, "Please Kuroo, let Kageyamago to Shouyou. He's not well at all. I think he may need a doctor."
"Is it urgent?" Kuroo asked Kenma.
"I'm not sure, but if Shouyou doesn't calm down he could lose the baby." Kenma said, "I wouldn't want to be the reason something sad happens to Shouyou."
Gritting his teeth Kuroo said, "Go Kageyama, see if Shoyou needs any help."
Kuroo lowered his weapon and Kagyama made a run for it, headed to his beloved's room.
(Time Lapse)
Hinata was sleeping in the bed now with Kageyama next to him. The raven was glad he had managed to calm his lover and put him to rest. When the doctor had arrived to tend to Hinata, the man said it hyperventilation was a usual reaction given off by stress and anxiety. The physician also said that because Hinata was pregnant, he could have been more prone to hyperventilation than if he hadn't been. Kageyama smiled though and held his lover and their child close. He knew right outside the door, were troubles he would have to face sooner or later. So the raven decided to picked the latter and rested his head on the back of his pillow, waiting for his lover to awake.
